Guest Reviews
- Nicola (10/5): -
- Christopher (7/5): Beautiful location. - Very nice location and the Cafe as well. None
- Lyn-Anne (9/5): - Quiet and comfortable. Access to lovely walks. Dog friendly. Good communication with owner.
- MANKAVIL THARA SOMAN (9/5): -
- Agon (8/5): Great location, but bring a car. - The cottage was comfortable and clean. The garden area was pleasant and the access to the water was nearby. The cottage was at the rear of the property and very quiet. It is relatively remote. As indicating in the booking, a car is recommended to get around otherwise it is a long walk to local facilities.
- Ethel (7/5): Fantastic location and easy to stay in. - The building we stayed in was wonderful. The back yard needed work.
- Foster (6/5): It’s a convenient home away from home. We appreciate a comfy bed after a big event. - It was close by to Sirromet Winery events and 10minutes from restaurants.
The outside patio is lovely to sit for breakfast and lunch.
It was quiet and pleasant to sleep, which is one of the most important aspects to staying anywhere. There was minimal appliances/ utensils for cooking for breakfast or lunch. We had 6 people stay, so this became a challenge.
Be aware, The property does not stock carton milk/ bottled water or small margarines/spreads, so if you need anything for your coffee or first meal of the day, you will need to bring it. Coffee and sugar sachets are included on the bench.
The fan remotes were missing or not working for fans in 2 rooms which we prefer over air conditioning. However air con is available for each room.
We experienced the door getting stuck closed in the front room because the mechanism in the door handle is broken.
We found a lot of nerf gun bullets and drink bottles under the kids beds upon arrival, when putting the suitcase under the beds.
- Warren (10/5): -
- Brett (10/5): - Redland BayBreeze is located perfectly in Redland Bay - away from all the noise, but close enough to all amenities. The unit itself is well kept and ideal place for a small family to stay.
- Fryer (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay at Redland Bay Breeze and would book again! - We liked the location as it was a quiet area and an easy walk to the park and beach areas The back veranda wooden stairs need a little bit of maintanance but apart from that everything was good
- Marnie (8/5): Very comfortable, affordable and exactly what I needed for my trip to Brisbane. - The tranquillity and tropical gardens I would have liked some rugs on the floors and a stick vac rather than a broom.
- ropetchell (9/5): - Renovations done tastefully, comfy beds, close to bus. Amazing birds and animals in the trees in the back garden. Netflix yay.
- Dianne (8/5): -

- Jaime (10/5): -
- Gerard (8/5): - Location was perfect for us. Easy to get access and door code was a good idea. Enough cutlery for two people but would need to put more for in the drawer if there were more than two guests.
- Bruce (8/5): -
- Pam (9/5): Great value for money will stay again - Location was lovely. Perfect size for our family get together. Nothing
- Edgar (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable well set out and good value Just a little far from town
- Phil (5/5): -
- Ammie (8/5): - Nice private place to rest n relax. Bedside 2 lamps, stands. Enough outlets to plug my mulit-plug into for medical machines. The little extra's provided was a pleasant suprise in shower.
Tea' coffee and lamp on at arrival Possum or something running on rooftops and verandah 🤷♀️. Somethings unsure if cleaned and leftover shaver head in shower, food dried on microwave plate small details. Mosquito's at night.

- Greer (8/5): Catchups with old times - Not applicable Not applicable
- Sandra (8/5): Great staycay - Great communication & clear instructions from host.
House was lovely & clean. perfect for our stay.
Entry code was easy to operate. Only negative I can comment on was the sensor light on front stairs was at bottom of stairs, so was dark walking down the stairs at night. Not a big deal though
- David (1/5): Very disappointed a very dirty, rundown accommodation - There was nothing to like about this property We could not stay in this place for the whole time booked as we found it extremely uncomfortable to stay in this place is so dirty, rundown and dilapidated. We have had to hand wash every dish and utensil before using as they are covered in food and grease.I have stayed in 100’s of Hotels ,Motels,Air BNB’s all over the world and never found someone letting a room in this condition. Also your description of facilities available was false there is no BBQ. There is next to no lighting at night to get down the side path as the sensor/light has perished and in need of replacing Power points don’t work, light switches faulty.
- Christine (9/5): Loved the stay. Would do it again for sure. Hotel and beautiful walk just up the road. - Beautiful place. Beds so comfortable. Beautiful house. Everything made sense. (Placement of things) essentials where provided. Not a we didn’t like just a heads up. Dryer didn’t work. Cracked orange bowl in cupboard and sensor light on guttering didn’t work. But we couldn’t fault the house. It was magical.
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Jon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stu (6/5): Pleasant - Close to the beach Got a award in 2016 no upgrades want you to wash and put away everything you use but oven was filthy we were there for 7 nights and it smoked every nite smoke alarms didn't even go off had to wash cloths we were wearing every day needs a bit of a good clean
- Liz (8/5): Cosy home in quiet neighbourhood - Dog friendly, off street parking, easy access via front door code. Comfortable furnishings and beds and a very quiet street. Very happy with our stay. Thank you Nothing, all good.
- Jennifer (8/5): My stay was very pleasant and the unit was in a convenient location for my stay. Enjoyed morning coffee on the veranda. - Cosy little place with all facilities available. Wifi didn’t work and very little lighting on the pathway to the unit. Needed a few more solar lights.
- Lourens (6/5): Pleasant -
- Victoria (10/5): I wish I could have stayed longer. - Copy one bedroom. Fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Leafy and cool good sized garden for my dog. Beautiful walks around the foreshore. Nothing
- Sinja (8/5): Very good -
- Robyn (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (7/5): Quiet nice location, comfortable beds, lots of necessary appliances. - Nice quiet location. Easy to find. Had all the appliances we wanted.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trask (9/5): Superb - Came down from Monto for a grandson birthday.
- Richard (8/5): Very good for us as a couple. - Location very good for us. Comfortable for us as a couple. Both the bedroom and bathroom fans need replacing, the barbeque is unsafe.!
- Loni (1/5): Bad - Mould on your curtains, mould on shower exhaust fan, aircon filthy dirty dishes oh an cockroaches , hole in deck coverd by pot plant OH YEAH JUST LETTING YOU KNOW have a little bit more respect for your granny flat
- Shazz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (1/5): Be warned the property photos are not what they seem, this apartment was damp and mouldy. - The location was okay. The apartment throughout had a nasty damp mould smell. The bed sheets and covers were damp. The wardrobe door did not open properly, the picture frame (in the bedroom) at the bottom was missing and sharp edges were exposed. The shower grill fan blades were exposed and uncovered. No shower soap, the hand soap had only 5mm left in the bottle. The BBQ was a rusty unhygienic disgrace. Gas bottle empty. The garden was unkempt, and overgrown. Owner was aware Cyclone Alfred would land in the Redland Bay but made no attempt to contact us, nor provide a torch, candles etc. before or after the storm, which left us without power or internet for 5 days plus. The owner did not come around to see if we were okay, We consider that he callously abandoned us before and after the storm no care was given to our safety or welfare, he has never communicated with us. In short this apartment needs a renovation, mould removal, re painting throughout, new bed linen, towels and tea towels. A partial refund should be given as we feel we have been conned and scammed.
- Kirsten (10/5): Top spot, top stay, top service. Thank you we enjoyed our stay and will return - Great communication and information. Had everything we needed. Like air con option . Pin lock a great idea. Not a deal breaker but Maybe brighter light bulbs in lounge .
- Gurpreet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Armin (7/5): Good - Bathroom small/cramped
- Terri (9/5): Was great for the reason we booked -
- Tori (9/5): Superb -
- Edel (5/5): Stayed there for 4 nights very stuffy no airenclosed very dark at night coming in from work no lights only one outside t - Area quiet Too closed in no air
Damp smell in sleeping area
No shower gel no cold water in fridge
En-suite very small
No locks on doors only on screens
Fan too noisy in bedroom so didn’t use
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Close to water and family. Nothing
- Josh (5/5): Passable -
- Kerrie (8/5): Very good - we have rented here before always good.
- Yang (5/5): Passable -
- Bruce (6/5): Pleasant -
- Katrina (8/5): Great all round family stay - Easy family orientated property It needs a deep clean. The maintenance of the physical structure is also starting to need attention and the rear yard needs some attention
- Joesie (9/5): Superb - It was warm and welcoming We were in the granny flat - which was perfect for us but the people who rented the house on the 14th were young loud men who were up all night drinking and swearing. Even the neighbours were upset at the noise due to young children They were not there on our second night of the stay , the 15th and it was fabulous and quiet.
- Corey (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Lucas (7/5): Not bad! - Decent property, room, kitchen and 3 bedrooms. Kitchen was lacking utensils, and condiments, not even salt or sugar.
- Richard (9/5): Great, location and premises - Almost every thing, very quiet 😊 Bedroom fan very noisy
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Stolzenburg (9/5): Superb -
- Geoff (7/5): COMFORTABLE BEDS. HOT SHOWERS . TIDY ROOMS AND KITCHEN AT A FAIR PRICE - CLOSE TO RELATIVE HAD TO REPAIR ENTERY DOOR SLIDE FOR EASEY AXCESS
TOILET NEEDS REPAIR .LOOSE BASE
DECK NEEDS RESEAL
MORE STEPING STONES ON SIDE PARTH
CAR PORTS TO PROTECT VEHICLES FROM BAT AND BIRD DROPINGS
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Brown (10/5): Exceptional -
- Danyelle (7/5): Good - Liked the space to spend time with family. Affectionately named Pharaoh (python/snake), this accommodation is not safe for pets. The bathroom could have been cleaner - no exhaust fan so there is mould.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Easy access, easy vacate. Dusty in the up high places like above ensuite door, obvious from looking in mirror
- Patricia (7/5): Good - Well equipped unit and very clean Very small bathroom
- Caryn (8/5): Very good -
- Morag (8/5): Great base to explore the area. Was really comfortable and really appreciated all the heat pumps as it was very cold at - Great location . Communication was excellent.property was as described . Great parking available.Beds were very comfortable. A few cleaning issues, top of range hood , top of kitchen wall tiles and under furniture egTV cabinet was dusty, otherwise really good.
- Rosanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melissa (6/5): Not terrible but needs a lot of cleaning/maintenace. - Good couch and bed was pretty comfy. Enclosed yard for my dog and washing machine were a plus.
A great option as it is pet friendly.
Nice selection of books and mags to read.
Blanket on couch and good bench space in kitchen.
I didnt cook but it looked like most items were available for basic cooking.
Nice chairs outside on porch.
TV was a good size
AC/heating worked well. No blind on high bedroom window - Requested one and it was done within 2 days.
Cleanliness was sub par. Dust, grime, mould. Lots of areas.
Only 7 pegs for hanging washing and half of the washing line was covered on overgrown plants.
Photos of backyard are not up to date, it is a mess with dead branches and leaves and no grass, definitely not looked after.
BBQ was hidden in overgrown vegetation so not sure if that worked.
The curtains in the bedroom and the Lounge area are not wide enough to cover the sliding doors so you are always woken by the sun.
Shares plumbing with house at the front so when they use water like washing the pipes in the unit thump the whole time like water hammer.
The back door for the main house banged so loud when people came in and out it would wake me.
Almost no bench space in bathroom. Would be impossible if more than 1 person there.
No bin in the kitchen.
Place needs a really good clean and a really good tidy up outside as well as some maintenance. One of the main boards in the decking st the front door is cracked through. It’s only a matter of time till someone has an accident.
Really hard to get a suitcase to the unit as it is mainly gravel with a few stepping blocks.
Surprised that there were only a few rolls of toilet roll and not enough hand soap provided. I asked for more toilet rolls which I was given but was told they normally only provide starter supplies. I think for toiletries that is ok but not toilet paper otherwise put it in the info so people know before booking.
Got email asking me to pay when I had already paid.
Got an email explaining local ammenities which was nice but the place I went to for pizza based on the email said the pizza place has been gone for 6 years. Another thing that needs updating.
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Jo (9/5): Superb - Owner was great with communication. Was very close to all amenities and the Bay. Nice quiet safe street
- Leanne (7/5): Good - Was an easy drive into Redland Bay and surrounding areas
Was great to be able to have our two small dogs inside which was a bonus and the main reason we chose this property to stay at whilst visiting family
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (5/5): Overall everything we needed was there except a broom to sweep the floor. - There was no breakfast Bathroom was really bad.. apiece of corroded wire on the wall for soap holder with no bottom in it. If we hung towels on towel rack they would have hung over the toilet or toilet roll. Also mould in shower.. shocked that we were in a bungalow in a back yard, not really an apartment.. very noisy at night with banging on roof and walls.. sorry for bad review but it was disappointing
- Pershouse (8/5): Suited our stay in Brisbane - Host informed us early of entry procedures and corrected minor problem quickly
- Ian (9/5): Superb - everything good
- Kylie (10/5): Great location, great facilaites. - Very cosy house still but plenty of space at the same time. Very clean, handy location and facilitates.
Unfortunately the purpose of our stay was to attend the funeral of an uncle that we all adored, but it was nice having a comfortable having a home away from home that was close to other family and to the funeral itself.
Would love to come and stay again under much happier circumstances. We liked everything.
No complaints at all.
