Guest Reviews
- Adele (8/5): Luxe but lacking - This places was certainly luxe. Beautiful, like new, clean. Super relaxing and cosy. Beds and pillows were super comfy. Loved sitting infront of the fire in the sunken lounge reading my book and occasionally seeing an alpine bunny hop by past the window. It was lacking in amenities. For the money I paid, I expected more provisions. There was only 1 tiny tube of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in each bathroom. For an accommodation run by an agent (Dinner Plain Accommodation) I expected big bottles of these in each bathroom. You might get by if there was only 2 of you for a weekend, but for a family of 5 staying 4 nights it’s not ok. There were also no kitchen supplies like cling film, tin foil, a no Nespresso pods, no jar of sugar (only a few cafe sachets), not even a box of tissues… most places run by an agent, even more expensive independent Air bnb’s, usually have a welcome bottle of wine, snacks and some milk in the fridge - but not here. So I had to spend a small fortune (because Alpine supermarkets are triple the price) to get these basic supplies which I believe should have been standard. Other things which this place should have is a washing basket, a door mat as you walk into house, a dish drying rack for the kitchen sink, a bigger strainer/colander and gloves for the fireplace (if these were supplied I would not have got a splinter or burns to my fingers). Blinds are missing on some windows, and the blinds in bedrooms are not blackout blinds so they let in a lot of moon/sun light and shadows.
