Mandy Xi (6/5): - We were really looking forward to our stay at this property because of its location near the ocean. The sound of the waves was soothing, and the sea breeze was lovely — that was the only real highlight. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing. The house feels dated and needs work. There were spider webs in multiple corners and ceiling, dusty blinds window. When open kitchen cabinet door under the sink, it has unpleasant smell, and oven trays were rusted or stained. The sofa and outdoor seating were old and visibly dirty, which made it uncomfortable to relax. The sofa and fittings need replacement, and the property could benefit from a thorough deep clean. As for the view, the listing mentioned an ocean view, but in reality, it’s mostly blocked by the neighbour’s trees and surrounding buildings. You can catch a glimpse of the ocean. With the house sitting on a hill, you also hear cars driving up and braking downhill. I know it is school holiday season and we made last minutes booking, price is not cheap. Willing to pay more for nice place. But for the price charged, it did not feel worth the money. This property has great potential, but it desperately needs attention to cleaning, upkeep.
