Guest Reviews
- colin whybourne1 (9/5): Great location to attend a wedding at nearby venue -
- Debbie (10/5): The property was lovely, quiet and peaceful. Hosts were very helpful and friendly, warm people. Cabin was clean, warm - Clean and well equipped , nice touches with food supplied. Great location and easy to find. Beautiful outlook to the rolling hills and horses. A new shower head could improve the bathroom but sufficient to have a wash.
- Ken (9/5): Relaxing rural break - Lovely location on a horse and cattle farm. Judy was very thoughtful providing gluten free bread and cereal for my partner. They even cleared a space in their garage for my car when it was stormy with possible hail. All good except for weak Telstra service
- Emma (10/5): -
- Joan (9/5): - It was peaceful clean… the host even provided home made muffins
- Simone (10/5): Truly peaceful serenity in the country with perfect facilities. - Peaceful with gorgeous country views
Incredibly considerate generous hosts
Too many thoughtful extras to mention
True B & B supplies for a delicious breakfast were the special cherry on top
Thank you Judy and Czes very much. Nothing, everything was wonderful
- Rebecca (9/5): Lovely place. Would recommend. - Very clean, very well kept. Friendly proprietor It was very close to the main residence which I wasn’t expecting but still some privacy
- Allen (9/5): Superb - Good
- Anne (10/5): Relaxing in a very pretty rural setting. - The provisions for breakfast and other included treats ( muffins and chocolate) were excellent. Plenty of milk, tea and coffee and the quality was superb.
The house was very clean and the facilities were great. Bed was comfy and the views beautiful. The only issue beyond the owners controls was the poor internet connection through mobile devices.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful views, clean tidy accomodation on quiet street...and the complimentary welcome muffins on arrival were great! More time to enjoy//we will spend longer next time
- Priya (10/5): Wonderful Hosts and Cozy Cottage – A Perfect Stay! - Hosts Judy and Czes are wonderful and incredibly helpful. The cottage is beautiful, equipped with all the amenities and supplies we needed for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the weather turned bad on our last day, but the hosts kindly offered to drop us off in Bowral, which was a thoughtful gesture. And the muffins? Absolutely delicious! Would want to visit again. NA
- Penney (10/5): An outstanding host who understands the personal touch in a very beautiful part of the Highlands. - We were very happy from the moment we arrived. To see freshly baked blueberry muffins, the lovely provided breakfast fixings along with lovely chocolate treats, it was absolutely lovely. Our bed was very comfortable and my husband commented on the pillows as that is always an issue when we travel. Horses, bunnies, rosellas and lamas across the road, it is such a lovely and peaceful stay. Warm towels, personal soaps and a very well stocked kitchen. We even loved the beautiful Royal Doulton style crockery. Very cottage-y and cosy. Excellent location to local town and shops. The lack of wifi available.
- Olive (9/5): Peaceful, quiet and rely - Peaceful.
All the extra goodies left were very well received Nothiy
- Michael (9/5): Highly recommended for couples wanting to get away and relax - Judy communicated where key would be and easily located. Some nice touches regarding breakfast and condiments that were appreciated
- Thomas (9/5): Superb - Very clean and cosy! Hosts were awesome! Even fresh baked muffins when we arrived! Very private even though close to main house. Amazing view from verandah..
- Elizabeth (9/5): Cosy cottage with farmland views and friendly horses. - Loved our stay in the cosy cottage at Toscana, and nice to meet hosts Judy and Czes. Beautiful spot with farmland views and friendly horses. Appreciated the home-made muffins, marmalade and breakfast supplies. Great that it was so close to the wedding venue at Montrose House. NA
- Margaret (9/5): We have stayed in many b and b places over the years, this was probably the nicest. - Breakfast provisions were very generous. There were special other treats like yogurt, strawberries and chocolate.
We loved the location. Every window gave us peaceful views - the garden, paddocks, trees, birds, hares (or were they very big rabbits?) The access dirt road was not good with many potholes but we were forewarned and it was only a short distance.
- Dean (8/5): Very relaxing -
- Piera (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (9/5): Ideal place to recover from recent surgery. - Great
Everything, country air even though it rained.
A good base to explore.
Plenty of eating options. The weather otherwise we had everything we expected.

Peaceful
Great views
Cabin was very clean and well maintained
Breakfast was supplied
Kitchen well stocked
Well centred location Only drawback was WiFi reception was not available as it was a telco black spot
- Lynn (10/5): Exceeded my expectations on every front. - Breakfast was bounteous and healthy. Eggs, bacon, fresh bread, muffins, strawberries and joy of joys - vegemite available for my toast. Ground coffee in good supply.
The location was perfect for my needs, but more than that , waking up to see the birds outside my windows and watch the horses grazing in the paddock made it hard to get up!
The cottage is quite near the house but because of the way it is built there is no sense that your privacy is affected. I met both my hosts and they were engaging to talk to and very helpful
- Charline (8/5): Absolutely beautiful - The property was very peaceful. It was amazing looking at the horses grazing. The breakfast and muffins provided by the host were plentiful and much appreciated. Everything was perfect
- Virginia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect little getaway, lovely seeing the horses running free whilst sitting in bed with a cuppa. - Beautiful house, close to the owner’s house but very private. Beautiful home baked muffins on arrival and a fridge full of breakfast goodies to cook over the weekend. Very clean and comfortable. Heating options available. Very thoughtful hosts.
- Danielle (8/5): Very good - You can’t beat home made welcome muffins! Breakfast was generous. Great kitchen, super cosy bed. Outlook from bedroom and living room was relaxing and pretty. Beautiful grounds. The heating wasn’t strong enough. I think in depths of winter it would not get cosy warm.
- Paul (10/5): Quiet location with amazing breakfast - Private, not adjoining any other buildings. Verandas overlooks fields for miles with horses in the nearby paddocks.
The hosts went above and beyond with breakfast. Lasted for three days, and there were muffins :)
- Virginia (9/5): Fantastic rural setting which was nice and peaceful. Hosts were very welcoming. - Loved the outlook over the paddocks with the horses. Very quiet and peaceful. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast pack and muffins were great. We were here for a family wedding ; would like to come back some day and explore more of the area , as this trip proved a little time poor with the wedding. Nothing , everything meet all our expectations.
- Kerry (10/5): Lovely property - highly recommended. - Quiet, peaceful location. Very clean, well-equipped unit - private and separate from the main house. Breakfast supplies in abundance. Home cooked muffins. Welcoming host - great communication. Within a short drive to most Southern Highlands attractions.

- Michael_scott (9/5): Michael & Kerri - Well equipped, modern, quiet, clean and peaceful. Nothing.
- Robert (10/5): A very comfortable, relaxing, cute cottage, which makes you forget about the stresses of the city. - it was very comfortable, relaxing and quiet. I loved looking out onto the paddocks and seeing the horses. The cottage itself was homely and great to just sit and listen to the sounds of nature. There was plenty of natural sunlight and the breakfast was great. The hosts were very sweet. the property was great, nothing I can complain about. There were issues with very little phone reception but I felt this was a blessing in disguise as I could just get away from thoughts of the city.

A lot of attention has gone into this accommodation, just wish we could have stayed longer.
