- Rita (5/5): - The location was good and the facility was clean. I was not given any instructions on how to get the keys to enter the property. If I did not ask a near by resident on if they knew where to pick the kets up from I would have never known. I was given the wrong code in the conformation email so I then had to call the after hours line to receive the code which was frustrating.
- Moore (9/5): - Eat clean and tidy That we were given the wrong keys when picking them up from the lockbox. A little bit smaller than I thought it would be
- Judith (9/5): Good - Easy stroll to shops and cafes Milo out of date not good. Told it was was a one bed one bath one kitchen, didn’t mention studio
- Cheryl (8/5): Chers stay - Very clean No outside space
- Zac (4/5): Disappointing - Cockroaches, one PowerPoint didn’t work, and I still haven’t got my bond back
- Joe (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (7/5): good, because the weather was good. The evenings were tedious, so i went to bed early and rose early - the room was clean and attractively decorated. There was plenty of kitchen equipment .The bathroom was good, except the mirror was too high for shorter women. The property was within walking distance of the beach where I swim between Ferry St. Wharf and Booker bay. The fridge was too small and didn't get very cold even when turned to colder. food went off quickly. No windows I could look out of. Parking in the small space was very difficult for me. No comfortable chair, the stools are very uncomfortable. Nowhere to hang beach towels and swimwear to dry ( fortunately brought 4 beach towels and 3 swimsuits with me and dried them by leaving them in the car in the sun.
- Terry (6/5): A clean, attractive place to stay that with some minor adjustements would be greatly improved. - I appreciated so many of the little touches and liked the location which was a short walk to my teaching venue, although on first arrival it took me over 90 minutes plus local help to find the laneway entrance to the property, even though the staff at Raine & Horne were very helpful.
I liked the kitchen and the tools/dishes, bed, bedding/linen, bathroom including the heated towel rail, wardrobe, high ceiling and windows which gave a sense of space, the large well-positioned TV, wi-fi, and air conditioning. The room was beautifully appointed and very clean.
The front door mat which turned up after a few days was a welcome addition.
Key drop-off at the end of my stay was great. The instructions to find the property were not clear to me and the gate was very tricky to open, requiring muscles, and at first the help of a lovely handyman who knew its quirkiness well. A simple physical map would have been helpful as Google Maps didn't have a clue :)
There was a designated parking place in the laneway for "visitors" however I was advised by R&H that I was not to park in the laneway. The nearest parking area had a 4-hour limit 24/7, and unlit street parking was further away, leaving me unsure if it was safe to leave my car or if I would get a fine.
The sensor lights were set for too short a time to allow me to open the tricky gate and then unlock the front door in darkness.
There was nowhere to sit comfortably other than on the bed. I would have liked a small settee plus a coffee table as the dining table and chairs were of no use to me. I asked friends their thoughts about those high tables and chairs and without hesitation and groans, they all said how useless and uncomfortable they were, and hopefully a short-lived trend.
To explain: I am a short person and the high stools were difficult to climb up to, and the seats cut off my circulation after a few minutes. The seats were also slippery so I had to be careful not to slide off. I had to use the bed to sit up to eat meals making relaxing difficult being mindful not to spill food on the doona etc.
Washing up liquid would have been helpful rather than the daily need to use the dishwasher with very few items, and there were no council rubbish bins available for recycling and garbage deposit at the end of my stay.
It was great that there was an iron though I couldn't find an ironing board, which led me to suggest an available information sheet would have been great to explain how to use and find things.
- Belinda (8/5): Enjoyed location. Had a nice time - Location. Modern. Clean No outdoor sitting area. The doona was too hot
- Peter (10/5): Loved it and very comfortable - Obtaining keys and finding address especially at night in dark like us
- Craig (9/5): Comfortable nice no parking - NO breakfast, comfort and amenities Didn't realise no Foxtel, parking in lane was terrible. Neighbours have no regard for parking. Encroached on gate entry.
- Linda (10/5): Everything we needed and very comfortable bed. We enjoyed the lovely decor as well. Shower was fantastic! Nice and close - Exactly as shown in photos. Everything we needed and very comfortable bed. We enjoyed the lovely decor as well. Shower was fantastic! The only issue was there was no external bins to use for our rubbish, so during a 6 day stay with some daily cooking, we had to find a street bin to rid our rubbish every 2 days. I would recommend a suitable bin for guests.
- Glenda (9/5): Delighted by cleanliness and fixtures. Satisfying standards - The unit was clean and fresh. The shower head was lovely. There were real pot plants!! Lockable gate allowed easy access and secure feeling to my front door (not that I felt unsafe at any stage).Lovely convenient location. So nice and quiet for the respite I was after. Loved kookaburra songs in morning announcing 'the suns up'. Definitely 1st pick next trip to Ettalong area No hair dryer provided- was resolved by quick trip to kmart. Garbage bins located in yard at front main house. Minor issues really.
- Kumar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Philippa (10/5): Wonderful - Comfortable bed, outstanding finishes, best water pressure and shower Ive ever experienced. Loved it! No outdoor space but Ettalong cafes and beach a short stroll
- Elizabeth (7/5): Enjoyable and a good base , lovely and clean but it is small for the price. - Clean and convenient No outdoor area and limited parking .
- Marie (7/5): Good - Location was great Amenities like cutting knife salad bowls potato peeler iron really needs to be added to the property
- Dawn (9/5): relaxing and peaceful - good location, well presented, good quality furnishings, well stocked kitchen utensils and crockery
short walk to cafes and the beach nothing really not to like, only small downside was not being able to sit outside the property
- Alice (9/5): I would come back and stay again! It was very peaceful and handy to all shops. - I loved the cleanliness and the easy access to shops. I also enjoyed how bright and fresh the place was, and it was very private. It had all the cooking facilities for a small meal, and the aircond was handy! Minor thing, but I missed a washing machine and dryer. The only other thing was some work was being done on a Sunday by the neighbour with lots of noise which meant I had to leave the property, but it was only a few hours.
- Natasha (10/5): Cute n cosy - A very cute n cosy set up, perfect for my needs. Gorgeous little town with happy people . Was a pleasure staying here. No verandah/patio
- Noel (10/5): We had an awesome time and would highly recommend this property - Great location, close to everything, easy stroll to town, club, beach etc. Property very new & modern, the best shower ever! Could add a hair drier, an iron & ironing board & bedside clock.
- Kylie (7/5): A very neat and tidy place. Lovingly presented and close to bars and restaurants in Ettalong. - Beautifully presented and very clean. Lack of outside space.
