Guest Reviews
- Ian (10/5): - Cosy
- Katherine (7/5): It was so relaxing - I love everything Nothing
- Jennifer (8/5): Cosy, quiet and close to beautiful national parks. - Lovely small and cosy cottage. The open fireplace was great. Large king bed soft clean and comfy. Trivial matters- Only a small amount of wood was complimentary. No coffee pods. No Wifi, had to hot spot from my phone. Bathroom taps needed new washers. However overall, a lovely stay.
- Angela (9/5): - So beautiful, quiet and cozy. Perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway with a smooth and quick check in check out process. Fantastic spa bath and great selection of movies to enjoy. Nothing :)

- David (4/5): We had booked for 2 nights and stayed only one. Owners did not seem bothered - The property is beautiful on the outside and where it stands. The property had no Wifi. The property was damp inside. All the seating felt damp and the bedding and towels with a musty smell
- Yufen (7/5): The place is lovely, cozy and nice. However, you can see and feel the place is not being taken well care. I understand t - The area was tranquil, however i guess it depends on the days. The bed was really comfortable. With the fireplace a the bathtub which was the main reason I booked for the place. It is a beautiful cottage. But lack of maintenance. Utensils are stained, some places are dusty, the free coffee and tea looked dated, the candles provided are all burned out and not replaced, the lighter for fireplace is out of gas, matches boxes are worn so cannot lit the matches easily. They provided card games but most of them are having missing cards that is not playable.
- Paula (9/5): Lovely stay. Enjoyed it all. - Lovely, cute, had nice little extra touches The bed/mattress sinks a little in the middle. I think you need to look at replacing the frame. Although it looks absolutely gorgeous.
- Lyn (8/5): Our stay was pleasant and as described. Liked the serenity of the property and the pair of inquisitive but friendly gui - The old world charm, security and gardens No wifi and no cable tv and an ac unit in bedroom would have been nice at night.
- Kaylee (8/5): -
- Michael (8/5): Great - It was a beautiful quiet place that was quality in nature. There was not enough towels. The floor in the bathroom needs a bath mat as it gets slippery when exiting the spar and is a hazard for injury.
- Cameron (8/5): Nice spot for a short getaway - Well maintained
Good fireplace and nice sized bedroom

- Lisa-maree (7/5): Pleasent but not fantastic and wouldn’t recommend - It was in a pretty bush setting but I had no idea upon booking that there were other cottages either side of us. The bed was very comfortable The kitchen had a very musty smell
About it and the crockery that was left out on shelves like the teapot etc was very dusty. When we checked in someone was using a whipper snipper for at least half an hour which really took away from the peace & quiet I was hoping for. I also really thought for that price a simple breakfast basket of bread, cereal some juice etc should have been included.
- Ruthandgreg (8/5): Nice cottage probably not suited to oldies because of walk in on gravel track and no lighting. - Cute cottage with great bed No internet ,spa was hit and Miss.
- Rod (7/5): Lovely stay beautiful setting, just more attention to cleanliness/preparedness required. - Quaint and good location, in a beautiful setting Not quite clean, soap left in shower, coffee machine not cleaned and bed very saggy and not much kindly to get the fire started, fire not cleaned out.
- Naomi (10/5): A wonderful retreat from the world, romantic and comfortable. - What a magical lil escape and a hidden gem of a few cottages tucked away in a serene and tranquil location. The hosts were incredible with fast and clear communication. Location was ideal with a few metres stroll across the road to the iconic Sunset hill viewing point (Hang Glider Hill), which was spectacular (and popular) to take a blanket and picnic basket. The Cottage was filled with homely comfort and treats. A wonderful mini escape. Highly recommend!!
- Nolan (10/5): -
- Bec (8/5): Lovely little place - Lovely decor, gorgeous building. It's a very cute and relaxing place. The building needs a little work but that's just being nitpicky.
- Adam (10/5): A delightful, inspiring, charming cottage experience - Absolutely beautiful cottage.Bathtub and fireplace were highlights and the decorative touches really helped us relax and immerse in the experience. What a gorgeous escape- only disappointment was not being able to stay longer! Nothing- perfect!
- Brendan (10/5): - The cottage was an excellent choice something I’d like to make a yearly booking
Was well worth the visit
- Louise (9/5): - Beautifully done
- Anthony (7/5): Good -
- Hollie (8/5): Lovely and quaint little cottage. Wonderful for a romantic weekend away. The bath is amazing for some RnR - Very quaint and cute Little bit dark walking back to the accomodation at night time
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bowler (7/5): Good - Quaint additions.
Very comfortable bed.
Quiet location surrounded by nature. Stoney track and distance from parking area was very inconvenient.
No handrails on front steps was dangerous.
The lounge was not particularly comfortable.
More containers for microwave cooking would have been useful.
- Nicole (8/5): Very good -
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- M (7/5): Good -
- Karyn (9/5): Cosy cottage getaway - Absolutely beautiful cottage..arrived in wet misty weather but that made it feel even more cosy..highly recommend for a couple wanting a quiet romantic getaway..great location too! Super comfortable bed and great sized spa..beautiful part of the world here in Mt Tamborine..will come back!
- Steph (9/5): Superb -
- Rachelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stacey (8/5): Lovely stay thank you - Great location
- Matt (9/5): It was a first experience on the mountain for my partner and her experience exceeded her expectation - Not applicable, (breakfast)
The peace and quiet,
The central location,
The unusual setting and beautiful/delightful gardens, My partner and I are not young, I'm 78, partner 66, she has mobility issues, more than I and getting in and out of the spa tub for a shower was a safety concern for her, less so for me. Stepping into the elevated tub, combined with wet slippery surfaces was a concern though being aware of the risk meant we took particular care and avoided a fall.
- Michelle (9/5): Beautiful place to stay for a weekend away. Close to main ammenities, wineries and cafes for a couples getaway. - Beautiful surroundings, private, lovely touches from owner. Nothing
- Aleisha (10/5): A magical escape to beautiful nostalgia - This stay was absolutely magical! Very Anne of Green Gables, super cute from the outside and even better inside! Had a very comfortable, lovely and vintage vibe - the hosts were great communicators and left some cute little gifts for us as well. Perfect location, so close to the Rotary Lookout and a short drive either way to shops. I honestly cannot rave enough about how awesome this stay was! Highly recommend. Absolutely nothing!
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Warwick (6/5): A lovely little cottage with shortcomings. - Beautifully quiet. Very lovely inside and out.
- Kris (8/5): A perfect couples getaway spot in Tamborine Mountain - It was a beautiful self contained cabin with really all you need for a quiet getaway. Very generous bedroom and bathroom with a cozy fireplace in the living/kitchen area. Located a perfect distance out of town to have the amenity but feel away from it all. I think the grove estate it is located in could add an EV charger at the parking area. There are very few in Tamborine generally.
- Laura (10/5): Perfect way to spent our anniversary thank you ☺️ - Easy to find, near to everything and so peaceful A little smoky for the fireplace but it’s what happened when you have one :)
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janet (7/5): Cute little cottage suitable for a younger couple as the shower is not safe for those with any mobility issues - A nice outlook and the cottage was tastefully decorated The shower is inside the deep spa bath and not for anyone who has mobility issues or the elderly, and there are 2 steps you have to take to climb out.
There are also narrow steps leading to the front door.
The kitchen could do with a new hot plate and there is no oven, only a microwave.
- Mick (9/5): beautiful accommodation and quick responding hosts. - Lovely accommodation and great hosts.
- Cara (10/5): Cannot wait to come back for another blissfully quiet stay - We loved how quiet the location was. I think that we were the only ones staying on the property during this time. The cottage was beautifully appointed and the hosts had added lovely extra touches including a little bag of treats and a pamper package to use whilst indulging in a spa bath!
It was a little chilly on our second night so we took advantage of the fireplace and enjoyed wine and charcuterie by the fire while listening to our favourite music.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Vicky (9/5): A lovely little cottage in - Lovely cottage with lots of thoughtful little touches. It was a little disconcerting showering in the big bath and water got everywhere. However the bath was lovely.
- Perry (9/5): Superb -
- Jon (7/5): Good -
- Spencer (6/5): Pleasant - The cottage was beautiful comfortable, No communication from owners at all , no welcoming to the cottage no checking in on us to see if we need towels or toilet paper , it rained for 3 days so a couple of extra towels would of been nice , the cottage was not welcoming at all on arrival no lights on, no heater on ,no fireplace on ,it was cold and dark ,it should of been warm and inviting
- Matson (10/5): Exceptional - Was very cosy Nothing other than having to wait a little longer for it be be cleaned but no big deal
- Jillian (3/5): Poor - The fireplace was not working properly so we had to open the doors to let out the smoke as it smoked out the whole cottage. The reason I picked this venue was got a fireplace and we couldn’t use it. There was also no one there to help fix this problem we tried contacting reception but to no avail.
- Reg (9/5): Superb -
- Ante (10/5): Cosy cottage that feels like home - Such a beautiful little cottage with lots of thoughtful touches. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. We loved every moment, it was the perfect little getaway for our anniversary to relax and unwind. Can’t wait to come back again. Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Sven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nathan (8/5): Excellent - Location, attention to detail, ambience Fireplace smoked a bit much
- Dannielle (10/5): Exceptional - A Cosy English cottage, quaint and quiet, just what was needed for a peaceful and blissful break. Great cooking facilities and full size fridge so easy to stay in and eat good food while relaxing in the spa or in front of the open fire.
- Jaysin (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ohram (10/5): We loved everything about the cottage! From its location to every feature inside. An amazing experience. Thanks for havi - Location, personal touches
- Margaret (9/5): Superb - Cute
- Kyle (10/5): Cosy quiet little cottage a good get away - Nice and cosy just the what me and my partner needed Just how smoky it got with the fire going
- Isabella (10/5): Exceptional - The property is beautiful and homely.
- Leeanne (9/5): Extremely relaxing, loved the surprise bag with a few goodies in it for us. - All information sent to my email address with excellent instructions.
Very easy to find and enter codes.
- Leigh (9/5): Quaint, comfy, cosy, quiet little cottage in a top location. Highly recommend. - Fabulous accommodation - comfy, cosy and quaint. Great location, nice and quiet and charming. The surroundings are tranquil.
- Nicholas (9/5): Superb - The style of the property
- Belinda (10/5): The cutest cottage with such lovely touches from the hosts! - Location and grounds! Nothing!
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexamdra (10/5): Amazing location, beautifully themed, clean and luxurious - Absolutely beautiful cottage everything was really nicely themed and would absolutely stay here again. The location was also perfect with lots of hikes, cafes, waterfalls and activities close by. I’m from the UK originally and it had such a homely British feel. We even stayed an additional night because we loved the accommodation so much. There was also little care packages with things for the bath and some cute snacks welcoming us. Overall 10/10 accommodations would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet luxurious rainforest retreat.
- Kelly (10/5): Perfect relaxing cottage break - Excellent location to tambourine village, only a few mins drive to witches falls, witches falls winery and the village centre. Beautiful personal touches in a quaint little cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay Nothing it was perfect
- Areej (10/5): Exceptional - An enchanting place to spend your holidays. Straight outta fairytale.
- Annwyn (10/5): Relaxing and comfy. - Comfy bed and great spa. Leaving.
- Roberta (9/5): Beautiful cottage, short drive from gallery walk and close to bushwalks and amenities. So comfortable and had everythin - This was a beautifully finished cottage with so many little touches that made it feel so comfortable and liveable. We could have stayed here for ages without lacking for anything. There were so many little touches that ensured any essentials that were forgotten were available to you. The furnishings blend seamlessly, so many blankets available which is rare and loved having a full size fridge. Self check in is great and everything worked beautifully. Well located in walking distance to Witches Falls winery and just metres from a lookout to watch the sunset. Just perfect.
- Lucie (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the quaint cottage. Just what you expect a Little English Cottage to be like inside. It was beautifully presented and very clean.
It was far enough out of town to be quiet yet close enough to do the sightseeing and visit the attractions.
The bed was very comfortable,
It was cool enough for the open fireplace, which was a bonus.
There was enough hot water to fill the spa bath to relax after all the sightseeing and walking, which we did.
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional - total ease
- Nguyễn (9/5): Superb -
- Geoff (10/5): a quiet and cozy little cottage that made us so comfortable with our stay. - The cottage was cozy and quiet. The bed was so comfortable. The spa bath was absolutely relaxing. Everything was labelled clearly so you could find what you needed. There was nothing we could fault with our stay
- Sandra (5/5): Passable - no oven
- Emma (8/5): Would recommend to non elderly - Close to their sunset No recepection open at all during our stay and we had breakfast included but there was no breakfast as it was closed like reception closed. Also spas bath highly dangerous for elderly, bath mat no rubber backing we both noted how its an ccident waiting to happen, that aside we couldn’t fault our cottage and loved it.
- Carl (9/5): Was beautiful, cozy and staff very responsive - We couldn’t really fault it at all
- Watt (9/5): Relaxing - Location, setting, comfort, provided little extras Open bedroom, bathroom, toilet lacks privacy
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Brooke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about our stay was outstanding. The hosts were absolutely amazing, and they thought of every little detail that helped make our stay comfortable and sensational. The location was absolutely perfect also. Could not fault our stay here at all.
- Caitlyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Great getaway for couples and we will definitely be back again - Easy to find and location was close to all the attractions we wanted to visit. Check was simple and not having to deal with a reception process made the short stay feel more like a holiday. Comfortable bed, good well equipped bathroom, soft towels and bath robes were perfect. Very private and comfortable set in a beautiful location. Nothing
- Samuel (9/5): Superb - It was comfy and cozy The water smelled and tasted like chlorine, and there was no oven.
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Doug (8/5): Cute, charming cottage stay. - Super cute and cosy. Loved the little extras here and there! Fireplace was great to watch for hours. Had enough firewood supplied (unlike other reviews). Fire place was a bit smokey, might need a clean out. Our second night, we had a loud group in the cabins next door that disturbed the peace and quiet a bit (wasn't too bad). Located out of the main strip a little bit, but within a 5 min drive.
- Meg (10/5): Magical. I feel transported to England. The gardens are glorious. The cottage is cosy. - It is the quintessential English cottage Nothing - everything is wonderful
- Steve (8/5): Quiet and cosy stay - Very quiet and cosy, super comfortable bed, loved the open fireplace, fantastic communication and assistance from hosts No door for toilet, spa not working in bath, no paper towel or tissues
- Charlotte (8/5): Quaint and well-appointed cottage. - Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Very comfortable and quaint. Little touches like the welcome and paper packs are thoughtful. No wifi (albeit understand that it is a tricky location) and not a lot of firewood.
- Rob (6/5): Pleasant - Location is excellent. Tired fittings - looks and feels very dated.
- Kate (10/5): Absolutely perfect! Relaxing, rejuvenating! - Everything!
- Simon7676 (8/5): Very good - All the cottages at Lisson Grove are perfect couples getaways for those cold winter nights. Lovely goodies left by the hosts were a nice surprise too The spa was broken this time
- Geoffrey (7/5): The cottage is a great location on the mountains and very comfortable, security parking is provided - The location was perfect - the setting and very peaceful there is a walk to the accommodation over a pebble path, this is not easy with luggage.
- Annwyn (8/5): Loved it and left feeling relaxed and recharged - Very comfy with lovely welcome gifts. Loved having open fire place. Nice grounds and fresh air. Relaxing. On arrival gate would not open but was resolved straight away. The spa did not work but every effort made to get it fixed. It was still a nice bath though
- Ian (9/5): Very enjoyable. Had everything we needed and Hosts left some nice snacks for us - The interior decorating was just beautiful. A pleasure to stay there A handrail at the front steps would be helpful
