Guest Reviews
- Athol (9/5): Comfortable, clean and spacious venue set on large block in quiet and peaceful street. - The spacious rooms, living area and kitchen. Large yard with plenty of room between other properties. Great outdoor deck which was perfect for socialising. The spa bath did not work. Pump was disconnected. lack of heating in some bedrooms.
- Bhajan (9/5): Very nice property. - Location and surrounds. Nothing
- Claire (9/5): Lovely retreat - A beautiful peaceful home tucked into a corner block where roos regularly visit. Perfect spot from which to explore the region. Nothing to dislike. Overnight temps can drop so pack a few layers.
- Annechiena (10/5): - We Loved the location and the quiet peaceful surrounds. The resident kangaroos were a fun surprise for our overseas family. Close to everything.
- Liam (10/5): Great stay in a beautiful house in an equally beautiful location - Everything Nothing
- Katrina (9/5): Very spacious and comfortable property that would suit family holidays - Spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen, hot showers, for family groups there was lots of space around the house for kids to play safely. Nothing major.
- Linda (9/5): -
- Dawson (10/5): A home from home surrounded by wildlife galore! - On our 2 week visit to perth to see Family it was the ideal location and space. It had absolutely everything you could possibly need- plus a lovely bottle of wine when we arrived!
We were really desperate to see kangaroos (I know we are English after all)
and we did in abundance. Just sit on the deck from 4pm onwards and watch then arrive and chomp on the grass!
- Annah (8/5): Awesome - The property was well stocked, well located, and all round a great space. Nothing it was just right for our group.

- Christin (10/5): Fabulous house and location! - Great house! Loved the kangaroos and birds. We were two families one with young children and the other without kids so this house was perfect. One section of the house has several bedrooms, a laundry room and bathroom. That section of the house is separated by an outdoor area where we ate several times. The other section has a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area where we all hung out. It’s a really great arrangement, especially if one couple or person want to be separated from the other part of the house - grandparents for example. I would highly recommend staying here. Nothing.
- Nadia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yanko (10/5): Fabolous holiday home! - We had a wonderful stay in Cape Illawarra Holiday House. The house is perfect for families, it has everything you need for perfect stay and even more. The hosts are extremely nice and have provided absolutely stunning holiday home, but most of all - cozy and comfortable atmosphere for their guests. The location was excellent, the woods behind the house - magical. And the most incredible thing was the kangaroos coming every morning outside the house. You watch them through the window while making your morning coffee. Just fabulous! everything was perfect.
- Rachel (10/5): Hidden Germ at Margaret River - A hidden germ at Margaret River with a secluded spot yet as near as town, easily accessible with your own car and out in the nature with quiet corner. Huge house to ourselves with kangaroos free roaming around the house vicinity, and little to our surprise that this stay has been perfect for our getaway around the Margaret River and the stars gazing at night adding a perfect start to our stay. Everything is well equipped and you will not regret booking this stay for friends or family's vacation together. A nice treat from the host welcomed us upon arrival. The outdoor patio area with tables and chairs may need a little cleaning.
- Sean (10/5): Wonder location and great place to stay. Even cooked dinner there - Baby cot provided Spiders
- Miho (10/5): Exceptional - Everything!!!!
- Natalie (8/5): Amazing stay, everything we need for a comfortable stay. The wildlife around was just amazing. - We love everything about the place, from the well-equipped kitchen, the large common area, clean rooms, and its closeness to wildlife. Accessibility is unbeatable as it is so close to the main shopping area. Nothing, we love every aspect of it.
- Alexandre (9/5): Great place for comfty family vacations - Fantastic place in the forest of Margaret River. Spacious rooms, cozy living room and fully equipped kitchen. Outdoor BBQ would need a replacement.
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - amazing location
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place, gorgeous location and everything we needed for the weekend. Private and quiet spot. House can get a bit cold overnight but plenty of blankets and heaters and electric blankets.
- Sharon (9/5): Superb -
- Monaghan (10/5): Will be going back! Loved everything about our stay. - Beautiful house and location.
- Alison (8/5): Great location, elegant and comfortable furnishings and well equipped kitchen. - There were a few necessities in the pantry which was great for a cup of tea on arrival… as well as a lovely bottle of wine which was duly consumed in the evening! We visited in winter but we were kept toasty warm with the air conditioning and electric blankets.
- Rita (9/5): We had a great time in a beautiful bush setting with roos visiting most mornings. - The lovely bush setting, spaciousness and great facilities. The beds were really comfortable.

- Di (8/5): Very good - Great spot near Margaret River Township.
- Kuek (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable house and well kept.
Well equipped: washer and dryer worked great.
Kitchen: well equipped. Pots and pans were in good condition. Stove, oven, microwave, dish washer etc all clean and in good working condition.
Air conditioning were working well Vs the hot days and cold nights. Not much.
Would suggest:
One more portable heater unit for one of the bedroom.
WiFi: could be better at the extender part. Wished internet was faster. Though it was usable at living and dining areas.
- Richard (10/5): Wonderfully spacious house in a stunning location - will be back. -
- Gilles (10/5): Perfect vacation - Perfect location near downtown, on a very quiet street.
Very big lot, you don't really see neighbors, but you will see kangoroos.
Very large living area, with lots of windows and light.
For us this was the perfect vacation place. Nothing
- Agnes (9/5): We had a wonderful stay here and would recommend it to anyone who need the space. - It’s modern and yet located in a forested area. Central location to explore Margaret river and near to supermarkets. There are ample space in the house for everyone. Wildlife outside of unit. Upon arrival, we spotted a kangaroo. In the mornings (abt 7+am), there are lots of kangaroos 50m to the left of the house. Dishwasher is available which is fantastic. The two separate units means we have to walk outdoor to access the opposite unit. Good thing we bought our room slippers.
- Sharyl-australia (10/5): Luxury, comfortable, spacious and clean. - The facilities were well organised, with good equipment in the kitchen making it very easy to cook with friends and relax at night, after a day of tripping around wineries and the tourist spots. It was also a short distance to restaurants and others shops. Kangaroos on the lawn were a cute sight. Nothing
- Perri (9/5): I would recommend it for a friends or family stay as there’s some great separate bedrooms and areas. X - Everything. It was a great location and beautiful comfortable home. Nothing really
- Danielle (10/5): Comfortable, quiet. Absolute bliss - The house is beautiful, quiet, peaceful and well equipped. Best night sleep I have had in years.
Daily visits from the kangaroos were a treat.
AMAZING
- Bradford (8/5): Very good -
- Amra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (10/5): Great getaway - Location and house was great, everything that was needed was on site and it was very clean We liked everything
- Cameron (10/5): Family of 5 holiday - Place was excellent for our family holiday, plenty of space with the two separate wings, and loved the kangaroos bouncing through the yard in the morning. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment. It was a 10 minute ride to the mountain bike tracks along the rail trail. Beds were a bit on the firm side, but fine.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - fantastic accommodation
- Patricia (10/5): Such a beautiful place to stay, quiet but still close to everything. Loved it and would recommend. - Geri was easily contactable and responded quickly to every query even whilst on holiday herself.
The location was close to town, both walking and driving. Loved the peace and quiet, the kangaroos in the garden, the magpies in the morning and seeing the tawny frogmouths sitting in the tree. Not a huge concern but Wifi didn’t extend to whole house and maybe consider having another (small) tv in second building.

- Philip (8/5): A quiet retreat just a short drive from Margaret River Town. - Our family of 6 stayed at this holiday home for 4 nights at the end of October. The house was well appointed, with all of the cooking and laundry amenities that a family of 6 needed. The house was a bit chilly for us, despite the 2 heating units - but the electric blankets on the king size beds and the extra blankets in the twin bed rooms were a very nice touch! The surrounding neighborhood was quiet and beautiful and we enjoyed watching the kangaroos come and go from the yard.
- Helen (9/5): A lovely house - would highly recommend - A lovely clean spacious house with great facilities, close to the town centre of Margaret River. Very quiet with the kangaroos visiting everyday.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional - Large and comfortable Geri's house was perfect for our stay. Quiet rural address but only minutes to town and resident kangaroos added to the experience. Well stocked with lots of thought given to inclusions. Contact with owners promptt and appreciated with helpful suggestions to any queries. Hope to revisit this beautiful spot.
- Shew+yoke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (9/5): Large comfortable house surrounded by bush although still within walking distance of town. - Spacious well appointed house amidst bush land although still close to town. Friendly kangaroos on site. Appliance guides would have been handy.
- Nigel (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): Superb - the location and wildlife were Amazing!
