Guest Reviews
- beth (10/5): -
- Mark (10/5): Loved it - Fantastic peaceful place
- Monica (7/5): - The setting amongst the trees was lovely. Very quiet also. I didn't like the fact that the bedroom's had no chair as their was plenty of room for at least one. Also the bed lamps were not sufficient for reading. In the main living area that could also do with another comfortable two seater lounge. A milk machine could also acompany the coffee machine.
- Chantal (7/5): Great house, poor management - The house and location are spectacular, with beautiful views from the upstairs bedrooms and living area. The beds were very comfortable. The cleanliness was very poor, unfortunately a past guest had left faeces sprayed and smeared on downstairs toilet, walls and floor. Several small pooh hand prints made it appear to be a child (photo of a smear i missed attached). Had to scrub the floor, walls and toilet on the first day, so that it could be used. The floors throughout needed a solid mopping as our feet became filthy after walking on them. The windows had smiley faces from past guests drawn in the filth. The wdge of the coffee table was sticky and grey from past guests resting their feet on it. I scrubbed it, photo attached of the paper towel after cleaning. We paid over $3000 for 7 nights and would expect more than 1 garbage bag provided, as well as some very basic provisions, ie tea, coffee and a small uht milk would be minimal expectation. The 2 x 2 seater leather lounges are very stained from many spilt drinks, and inadequate for a house that sleeps 6 adults. While absolutely not fault of owners, the power went out for 9 hours on Christmas day (39°c) and as the water is pumped to the house with electricity, we struggled greatly. Suggest owners install a backup generator for water pump.
- Jennifer (9/5): Exactly what we were after peaceful bush surroundings and a great house - Great location and the house well stocked and just lovely Beautiful surroundings We would book it again. Neighbour burning off. 2 of us are asthmatics. Wished I bought some wood as it was cold and the A C takes a while in such a big room.
- Pullen (5/5): Great property in fab location but lacking attention. - Great location and setting. Spacious bedrooms and living. Heating throughout. Worn out sofas, poor media (DVD in living not connected and naff tv- difficult to get any free to air and people still logged in on Netflix & YouTube).. No cover to outdoor setting. No wood provided for the log burner. Lots other small things that show lack of love and tlc.
- Karen (10/5): this house was in the perfect location. very clean with lots of room, would stay here again. -
- Russell (9/5): Definitely will look to stay here again! - Love the space and privacy. The place is huge and sited within a forested area, yet not too far away from the main town. Plenty of light with all round glass panels. Too bad we did not have any wild kangaroos paying us a visit over the 3 days :(
- Tina (10/5): Perfect stargazing - We had an amazing stay, could not ask or want for anything more. We did stargazing every night, and the accommodation was perfect. An amazing place.
- Martyn (9/5): Great location - Location and layout of the upstairs. Two main bedrooms had lovely views and the kangaroos were wandering around the gardens. The downstairs bedroom was dark and had a mouldy damp smell. Not great for anyone to sleep in to be honest.
Toilet seats need replacing in main upstairs bedroom. Needs some love and attention to continue to be a great rental.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb - Great location, great house, great amenities, lovely hot water and very comfortable, lovely open kitchen/living area, great BBQ and balcony. Would recommend to families/groups and stay again for a holiday in Margaret River as a group :) The ground-floor bathroom/laundry had a lot of dead bugs in it when we arrived. One of the second-floor bedrooms (the one above the garage) had a faint buzzing-noise (assumed water heater), fine for the heavy-sleeper, not so much for the light-sleeper.
- Catherine (9/5): Very comfortable few days down south, house was close to an event we attended. - Peaceful Not a thing
- Juliana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Terence (9/5): A truly special and memorable stay. A real treat! - The property design and location is superb. Lovely large beds (not always the case) with spacious bedrooms. The en-suites are great too. The owners have pretty much thought of all requirements to make the stay trouble-free. We did have some trouble with the dvd player but it never spoilt or impacted our stay.
Something for the owners to consider: Perhaps an armchair ( or tub chairs) in the bedrooms ,would just complete the space. Also, it was a bit of a pain carting firewood for the log burner. It looks like it may have been supplied in the past (wood shed on site) and in the winter, most guests would love to light the fire, as we did. A few dollars more on the hire costs would cover it and make it much more convenient. Nothing worth mentioning as a true negative, as we had a fantastic stay and would happily return. A few touches ( as mentioned) would ice the cake!
- Samantha (10/5): We will definitely be retuning to Kanga View, - The property was beautiful and incredibly peaceful, we had an incredible stay and are already planning our next trip away!

- Eileen (8/5): Very nice and a beautiful setting. But if the furniture is not changed we could not return - The location and the visiting kangaroos and kookaburras. It was very peaceful . The property is very well stocked and so easy to manage. The only comment is written below. The lounge furniture was not at all good. I have a very bad back and I couldn’t sit on the settee. I brought one of the patio chairs n but could only sit on them for a short while. I made the bed using a duvet to lay on for more comfort. But in the end we left a day early because I had developed so much pain and there was nowhere to relax. I think the lounge furniture needs upgrading. And 3 x 2 Seeger settees would be a better arrangement for 6 people. The furniture is ok if you don’t have back problems.
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Tranquil and peaceful , great for family reunion - Amazing find. Private . Scenic. Spacious Felt it hadn’t had the best clean before we arrived . Dusty and peanuts and crisps under sofa from previous guests
- Patrick (9/5): Superb -
- Unaiza (10/5): Beautiful house and location - Everything was awesome.

The house was very clean and beautiful. Nothing.
- Kylie (10/5): It was a perfect stay - Location was quiet and peaceful
- Alana (10/5): Perfect location to get around Margaret River. - The location & the size of the house.
There were four of us all adults and we had so much space that we never got on top of each other.
The house had everything you could need and more. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Nothing.
- Ilse (9/5): Beautiful and spacious house for a lovely family retreat. - Beautiful and spacious house for a lovely family retreat.
- Debra (8/5): great spot for access into Margaret River and local beaches - fantastic location
surrounded by wildlife
quiet we had a power cut and there was no candles
- Cecilia (9/5): Great place. 3 bathrooms were great for the family - The view and bird life was great. Set in bushland TV - normal channels were hard to operate. Two remote controls were a pain.
- Danielle (8/5): Very good - Beautiful house and scenery. Comfy beds, bathrooms for each bedroom. Aircon. Deck. Some decorative lights and pieces would be nice on the deck to enjoy at night time.
- Maureen (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (7/5): great place and location, kitchen well appointed but on the whole needs work to make it worth the money. - spacious, well appointed, good setting. echoey. very loud property as little soft furnishing.
no art work- very bland house.
no hooks in bathrooms or bedrooms.
doors dont shut properly. most need adjusting which has been mentioned on previous reviews.
games room really isn’t.
family oriented house but no single beds for kids.
no storage space in ground fl bedroom as robe is full. no drawers.
ground floor patio door opens but no fly.
door with fly does not open.
decking nails sticking up. definitely a risk of cut feet. reported but no quick action.
noisy adjacent properties with power tools being used early mornings. plus one night of loud music.
no washing line but great laundry facilities.
wall mirror in second king would be good, as per first.
gpo in one bedroom not working on one side.
umbrella would be great for deck table.
timber floor dirty. probably vacuumed at cleaning but not mopped.
instructions stated to clean bbq because not included in price. but no gear with which to clean. even a simple wire brush would be ok.
- Nancy (8/5): Very good -
- Joe (10/5): excellent place great for family - everything nothing
