Guest Reviews
- Cecilia (7/5): Little Blue Shack - Love the deck and water views. Cute blue shack. Really good amenities Big black spider with a fat round body running over the bed and over my right shoulder then disappeared behind the bed head. Freaked me out and went and moved to a single bed
- Meredith (9/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): We had a great 4 night stay here with our two teenagers and a dog.Beach is directly across the road .perfect location . - Perfect location ,straight across the road from the beach .
Walk to the pub .
The views of sunsets from the deck are stunning .
Cute little house with everything we needed .
We stayed with our small dog and it was great . We liked it all .
Although bring mozzie spray for the sand flys down the beach at sunset
- Ann (8/5): - Close to everything Yard could do with a deep clean and mow
- paul (8/5): - The view and the location
- Richelle (10/5): - Great location, easy access to the beach, loved the old school beach batch feel.

- Paul (6/5): We were going to extend a day or so but decided against it due primarily to uncomfortable bed. - The view and proximity to main street and beach. Yard was in deplorable condition, overgrown and very unkempt. Main bed was uncomfortable and bathroom facilities were a lttle unclean and primitive.
- Kate (10/5): Wildlife, inspiring views to create art, walking and getting our zen on. - Position on the waterfront surrounded by native flora and some exotic which harboured so much wildlife. Over 40 species of birds, 1 male buck Eastern Grey Kangaroo on the grass next to the house, 1 Echidna ambling around the outside of the house. Closeness to walk to the foreshore and shops and pub. so beautiful. Thank you. Great for my elderly friend to play games and create art.
Thank you so much. Loved the Eco tour by a talented and caring local too.
- Fern (10/5): Utterly perfect - What an amazing place, the location was amazing, the view and evening sunset. The simplisty of the house was wonderful too. Everything we needed and clean and tidy.
About a minute walk to the beach or less for the kids. Mmmm...mmmmmm .I really can't think of anything.....just that we couldn't stay longer
- Vermaak (7/5): Good - We loved the view.
- Corrine (7/5): Good -
- Jennifer (7/5): Ok - If you are after a Great view and location this is it and the dog could come too
- Jane (8/5): Relaxing and great views - Couldn't fault the location and the views from the balcony were amazing. We sat there a lot just watching the water/boats etc. Easy walk across the road to the waterfront. The host and housekeeping were on top of any issues and responded quickly. Very clean facilities Would have been nice for the grounds to be cleared and a path easily accessible at the front of the property.
- Kelly (6/5): Pleasant - The view and location Mould on the ceiling in the dining/kitchen area
- Brooke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Frankie (8/5): Beautiful sunsets over 1770 in cosy bush cabin - Perfect location, ideal for small family or couples with a pet (although it wasn’t fenced but didn’t matter as we took our dog to the beach every day).
- Rachel (8/5): Very good - The view was great eventhough it rained most of the time. The cottage was perfectly inperfact which was just what we like. The walk up the hill to the cottage was a bit steep
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (6/5): Great location in 1770 - Perfect location to explore 1770 with a short walk to the local pub and waterfront area. Basic accomodation but the deck with lovely views and BBQ makes up for the shortfalls. And of course our dog loved coming along. There were water problems but the manager did his best to sort the issue
- Gardner (7/5): Nice little cottage with awesome views. Lovely stay. Just needed lots of sandfly repellent. - The views were awesome. Cute little shack. Gardens need some attention. A bit overgrown in places. It let the property down. Hoping at xmas when we come up that the yard has had a tidy up.
- Nicholas (9/5): Great place for a short break - Value & location Cobwebs
- Emily (3/5): Disappointing - The proximity to the beach was great The property is very close to being unrentable
The mould in the ceiling is completely unhealthy and the cleanliness was terrible.
We left 4 days early dur to breathing problems.
The gardens need some well needed attention.
- Carly (7/5): Good -
- Archibald (4/5): we realise the home is older thats was going to be part of its charm sadly not this one - location was good nice and close to the estuary enjoyed sitting on the deck this was a 5 night stay i thought it was very short on supplies ; no salt and pepper no oil to cook breakfast no small milk in the fridge for a first cuppa no bin liners or glad wrap (these are all thing s that have been in house stays) metal shower caddy was rusty and marked my face washer pizza tray was old and rusty no toilet brush or cleaner no small dustpan and brush there thing are needed to keep the place tidy
- Gladys (8/5): Excellent location and value for money - The location is absolutely perfect. The view is beautiful and whilst the accommodation is basic it has everything you need.
It was quite hot when we were there so we were very happy with the airco and mesh on all the windows.
Our dog loved the adjacent beach and had a swim there everyday. It would have been great if part of the garden was fenced of so the dog could wander around outside a bit.
The drive way was quite tricky to back out of especially at night, we got the hang of it after a few times
- Ann (8/5): Very good - location was excellent no wifi
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Maggie (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (6/5): Location is 10/10. Most everything else is under par. - Location is ideal - close to beach, boat ramp, parks, walking, cafe/bar/restaurant. Bed was clean and comfortable. Facilities were adequate and we enjoyed our stay very much. The location is so good that you are able to overlook the general dilapidation of the property. Lack of Maintenance, general cleanliness. The property is in perfect location with beautiful ocean view somewhat obscured by overgrown scrubby trees. Property maintenance is extremely poor. As well as the bigger issues like rotten floor boards, missing guttering, hanging and exposed electric wiring etc, small things need attention like remote control not working because it contained corroded batteries etc etc.
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Brett (9/5): Superb -
- Patrice (8/5): Very good - Quaint, great view, old beach house feel Access. Even experienced drivers will.find it difficult. We had to call tow truck to tow our 4wd after our vehicle's tyres ran over the edge.
- Brad (10/5): Excellent & relaxing 😎 -
- Michelle (9/5): We had a lovely time in this stunning location. We spent time on the verandah enjoying the view. - Location was perfect We didnt have salt & pepper
