- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Dennis (8/5): Very good -
- Estelle (9/5): Wonderful view, well equipped and quiet area, surrounded by bushland . The property is not fenced . - The view !
Well equipped, comfy bed . The main bedroom, living area and kitchen are on the top level( separate building) The other 2 bedrooms, bathroom and laundry are in a seperate dwelling below the living area building . Could be an issue for a family with young children ? All the stairs ! But worth the view when you got there !
- Max (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (10/5): 1770 is a beautiful location and this accommodation was right where you needed to be to enjoy it. - Property has everything you need. It was very comfortable and views from the deck were beautiful. We would definitely go back. It was perfect for two couples as had totally separate sleeping arrangements. The property needs a bit of maintenance in regards to sliding doors but nothing that really affected our stay. The downstairs shower wasn’t the best but again for 3 nights didn’t affect our holiday.
- Candice (9/5): Superb -
- Robyn (9/5): Superb -
- Jason (9/5): Superb -
- James (9/5): Brilliant, great kitchen and loved the location and the view is very good!!!!! - Incredible views and clean facilities. House needs a little work in some areas. eg. screen door onto veranda was difficult to open.
- Terri (7/5): Good -
- Dyan (8/5): The views really make it something special. - View, location and thoughtful touches such as toiletries and coffee pods. It wasn’t all clean. Bug droppings and hair were left around. The couch was uncomfortable. There really needs to be a heads up in the property description that two of the rooms are in a very separate building.
- Hannah (9/5): Would recommend without hesitation. Very relaxing stay. We will certainly be back! - Beautiful location and extremely clean and comfortable with every amenity possible. Stunning views. Very grateful to the hosts for all the effort they’ve clearly considered when furnishing the property. The showers were perfectly adequate but if I really had to offer any feedback it was just that they could do with a little updating at some point in the near future.
- Cassandra (10/5): Exceptional - It is a lovely property that suited our family including our dog. The views are spectacular, beds are comfortable and the house was so clean. It had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. We absolutely loved it and will be back again.
- Scott (7/5): Really great place - just be aware the views are not what is shown - Clean. Great location. Great hosts. Really responsive. Really nice, comfortable place. Kitchen is really well stocked. Great BBQ. Just a really really nice place to stay in a great location. The views are *not* what is shown. Those pictures were taken years ago before the trees grew up and blocked the views. Is it fair to show pictures that say "actual view from the deck"....when you know...those aren't the actual views from the deck? You can decide. Still some nice views...just little bits between the trees...
- Monika (8/5): A relaxing holiday in a nice home with a lovely view! - We did have a great stay. The view is lovely. The kitchen/lounge/dining area is great. Great size. Great fridge. Bonus to have a washing machine and dryer. Deck is a good size, too! Inside is very clean. The layout is fabulous for a teenage family or two seperate families as the bedrooms are seperate and not linked with an internal passageway. Definitely not a place for one family with small children. It’s close to the beach but you need to be physically able to get up and down to the beach. The road is very steep. The house is close enough to the marina. Great coffee and the food van/cafe really makes terrific food! The outside really needs a good tidy up! It’s really tired externally. The garden needs attention and the pavers and walkways need a good gurney . There are random bits and pieces lying around which could be tucked away to make the outside space look tidier. The tree in front of the deck blocks so much beautiful view. Simple things internally need to be fixed - doors which scrape on the tiles, torn fly screens. The oven seems simple enough but it’s not easy to use… simple instructions would be helpful.
- Lee (10/5): Plenty of space to lounge around on the big outdoor deck enjoying the views. Curtains have been installed in the bedroom - Beautiful location so quiet and private Needs a little maintenance here and there sliding doors need news runners. Very tricky to lock the front door
- Sonya (6/5): Pleasant - The township, views were ok It's only partial views, garden needs maintenance, path lights are needed as separate accommodation is outside and downstairs, blinds are needed as afternoon sun comes straight into the living room, cleaning of deck needs attention as table outside very dirty
- Gary (8/5): Ok - Views No lights up the stairs fly screens need repair sockets lights not working down stairs bannister broken on final steps very dangerous
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anastasia (8/5): Lovely views and great location - Lovely location and beautiful views from the balcony. It's a good place if you have two couples or one couple and a separate family as the two sections of the house are completely separate with the living room, main balcony, kitchen and one bedroom off the balcony located in the top section (plus toilet and shower), and another bedroom, and bunk beds bedroom (plus another toilet and shower) in the bottom section. That worked out well for us as each couple felt like they had their own space.
We would definitely stay again. The bottom section of the house is probably getting a little outdated and the trees might need a trim soon to provide more light into the bottom section of the house but our friends who were staying there seemed happy overall.
- Peter (9/5): We loved our time here, feel very relaxed - The views, nature all around, the peace and quiet. Great TV! The steps up; no clothes rack!
- Judy (8/5): Very good -
- Cam (10/5): We had a great family holiday and it was great to be able to take our boat and dogs. We would love to go back. - Great view Nothing
- Armato (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): A relaxing family stay. - Location of property with superb view. Wonderful balcony for eating, relaxing and enjoying the sunset. Proximity to Marina, lovely walks and pub. Spotlessly clean. Wonderfully equipped kitchen.
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - The property was just lovely. The location was fabulous with the most beautiful views and so quiet. It was as described and really perfect for families especially with older children. Added bonus was the airconditioning. The owners were very responsive. Not much
- Dart (9/5): Superb -
- Donna (9/5): Million-dollar ocean views, beautiful birdsong, privacy and comfort make this location a delight! - Samudra is gorgeous, with amazing ocean views located right beside a national park. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the shower water pressure was amazeballs! The privacy and tranquility of the location while being a short work from 1770 was a real delight. Our only change we would make on this incredible stay would be block-out blinds in both bedrooms. The beautiful birdsong was a magnificent soundtrack to the morning, but the light at dawn, not so much.
- Guillaume (10/5): Gold Location, amazing floor plan! - The location: gold! Best way to enjoy 1770/Agnes Water. Walking distance from the marina, hotel and beach = forget about your car 90% of the time! We had a very good deal with Genius and by using the Visa booking partner program (type 'Visa booking.com' in Google) to get a $160 cashback. It makes the property very affordable! Oh, btw, the King Bed is a killer! At first we thought that not having blinds in the bedroom will be an issue, but the sun does not rise on this side of the home so you can enjoy a progressive wake up with a magic view!
- Garvin (5/5): Disappointing facilities. - Great location and wonderful views There was a bad smell upstairs which we could not get rid of. Lots of mold on furniture. Eg a very moldy dog bed on the patio. The oven didn't heat up which spoiled our lunch plans. Tried emailing and no reply. There are no curtains in any of the bedrooms. They have multiple large windows and glass doors completely exposed, including to the driveway to the next door property. 2 of the bedrooms and 1 bathroom are underneath the main house in a completely separate building. There was no safe way to put the kids to bed then go back up to the kitchen. It seems to be undergoing a rough paint job, lots of half-painted walls. We were all disappointed.
- Paula (9/5): Great location and very comfortable - Very thoughtful, well stocked, comfortable accommodation with a wonderful view. Location was perfect, in walking distance (or very, very short drive) of the waterfront. We only used the top level & it was perfect for our family (2 adults & 1 infant). The secure balcony was a good spot for our pooch to relax also. We had a kookaburra greet us every morning, and loved being surrounded by bush on one side of the property.
- Sophie (10/5): The perfect escape from the world - Loved the living area of the house - outdoor pod sofas, dining table and bbq and indoor living area comfortable. Kitchen was well set up with blenders and other appliances and left with salt and pepper etc which makes it handy to not have to buy everything condiment. Beds comfortable and bathrooms clean.
It was a great place for us with teenage children who liked having their own house and space. Wonderful walks from the house both down to Agnes beach and along 1770 foreshore. If you like R&R then this is the perfect spot. Steps not bad for us. We liked the exercise. A check in compendium could be handy on-site with wifi codes, gas bbq bottle info etc.
Bedrooms don’t have curtains - didn’t worry us too much but could be an issue for some.
- Josie (2/5): Families beware, not suitable for children. - Fully stocked kitchen was nice, large lounge for our children to camp in, lovely view from the deck. Very misleading that this property is 3 bedroom, absolutely not suitable for a family of 6 with 4 young children. The main house only has one bedroom, the other 2 rooms are in a completely separate granny flat, outside and down a lot of stairs. No way could our children sleep down there without one of us present. No where on the booking page does it tell you this is the way the property is set up. Very disappointed for the very large price of $500 per night. We only stayed for one of our 2 nights because of this.
- Mathew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Derry (9/5): Very enjoyable birthday celebration. Ideal for a family celebration. - The space and the view. A family member was 87 years and had great difficulty with the steps. The property is ideal for young fit people who can negotiate stairs safely.
- Suzanne (8/5): terrific for privacy, very comfortable stay. - great views. every facility thought of. good proximity to water. well laid out and clean. would definitely book again. the trees at the base of the property are overgrown and in certain seasons (when we stayed) are shedding flower debris covering the vehicles. some of the trees will need pruning as they will soon impede the view.
- Hani (8/5): Very good - Fantastic views, large terrace, comfortable, well located We didn't know that the rooms were separated into two separate accommodations. (We needed to exit from to get to the other). Also, some curtains or blinds would have been appreciated in the downstairs rooms.
- Zoran (10/5): Exceptional house - strongly reccomended - One of the better houses I have ever rented. The amenities inside are first class, you even get Alexa for the entertainment. It was exceptionally well furnished and the supply in the kitchen cupboards was really good. The deck with the views is amazing. The main house has the master bedroom only and the 2 other rooms are in a separate building just below the main house. This is excellent if you are with adult kids. The hosts were really friendly they even left 2 blow up paddle boards for us to use. I will definitely try to come back.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lena (8/5): Very good - Great views, lovely house close to everything in 1770, So good to be able to bring the dogs!! A little miscommunication on arrival about the keys but got that sorted, construction near by was noisy but that was almost finished when we left
- Karen (10/5): Perfection. Absolutely Incredible We’ll be back!! - We loved the location and it had all the comforts of home. The views were absolutely incredible and the photos online just don’t do it justice to how good it really is. we also particularly loved the privacy. maybe only the stairs access but in a way it’s what makes it seem even more secluded. The only reason we say this is if you are elderly and have trouble walking up quite a lot of stairs it probably wouldn’t be good.
- Philip (9/5): Superb - Views are amazing, very peaceful location.
House was great and very homely, beds were very comfortable.
