• Bob (8/5): Perfect for a weekend escape to visit wineries and explore the lovely area of Orange. - Loved the picturesque location. Very rural but facilities only a short drive away. Exceptional attention to detail in many areas. Very comfortable. A lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay and the running festival. Shortage of cups and glasses. Would be better with basic provisions for example olive oil , mixed herbs and cling film. Maybe some art work hanging on the empty hooks. If all this attention to detail was added to an already beautiful and comfy cottage it would move it into the exceptional 5* rating .

• Francesca (10/5): We will be back!!!! Simply perfect getaway. - Clean neat tidy. Very private and secluded. Fridge had all our breakfast needs and the fireplace was amazing. Bed was so comfy and the view from the bedroom and lounge room was breathtaking.

The breakfast provisions and wine were great and it was good to walk into a cool property with the air con already operating on such a hot day. Nothing to dislike

• Graham (10/5): Nice comfortable cabin with excellent views. - The cabin was exceptional with an outstanding view from the back deck. Nice and roomy inside and the bed was so comfortable that I had the best sleep that I'd had for some time. There was a generous about of food in the fridge which was enough for breakfast and lunch for a few days. The microwave in the cabin was a bit different to what we were used to but this was just a matter of trial and error. Saw the alpacas in the distance and there were no other animals to speak of except visits from the local birds.

• Dmitry (9/5): A very peaceful getaway - Fantastic views, a very relaxing setting. The cottage is clean and modern. We were pleasantly surprised that breakfast essentials were provided. The place is only a short drive from Orange. There was a brief power outage and the host arranged a power generator before we could even notice. There are two cottages close to each other, but it wasn't an issue. There are some signs of wear, e.g. gas fireplace making a bit too much noise.

Great communication from friendly hosts! Wifi was on the blink when we stayed which just meant we couldn’t use all the amenities like smart TVs, but ended up being good to disconnect

• Justine (10/5): Beautiful place for a peaceful stay - We have always stayed in town when visiting Orange & really loved being further out with stunning views over vines and paddocks. We were thankful for the treats left for us and for the best bed I have slept in when travelling. Two very peaceful night's sleep were had. Connection with the owners was also very easy and quick. Margie & Scott are excellent hosts.

The bed was way too soft and there were no blankets to put on the bed. It was freezing and no heating in the bedroom. Definitely not what you expect with a five star rating

Excellent breakfast provided. Great entertainment provided by farm animals! Very minor: a suitcase stand would be more convenient. No cover over outdoor seating so had to wipe it down daily because of rain. Otherwise excellent.

It felt like a home, with an awesome backyard and breakfast provisions. Undercover car parking. Our host, Andrew was very easy to deal with. He had the cottage warmed up for our estimated arrival. Awesome short break. No complaints, it was cold but the cottage was warm!

• Shona (8/5): Overall lovely but needs some attention to detail. - Beautiful spot with amazing views, sunsets and sunrises. The gas fire was fabulous for the cold weather, the huge bed was so comfortable. location to Orange was a short easy drive. The location is so peaceful with only bird song and sheep noises. I would highly recommend this property. Unfortunately housekeeping let this property down. The BBQ was very dirty with lots of old fat, with nothing to clean it. (apparently the cleaner forgot to restock the wipes and paper towels.) The heat lamp in the bathroom had two non-working bulbs. The white chair in the kitchen was quite dangerous, the seat leant forward, one legs was bent and therefore unstable and slippery on the flooring. There is loads of cobwebs and as such black spiders in the windows. I recommend the owner does a walk through, looking from a guest point of view.

Always an exceptional place and my number on pick for a country - Wonderful location, with absolutely unbeatable views and still only max 10 minutes from Orange town centre. The cottage is incredibly comfortable and the gas fire keeps it very warm even in the middle of winter. Great facilities, local farm life and lovely hosts available if needed.

Lovely, spacious, cosy accommodation with aircon and an atmospheric gas fire. Comfortable bed & great shower. There was a covered parking space at the door which made it easy to get inside in any weather. A peaceful getaway place with cute alpacas, sheep & birds close by. Fabulous sunsets from the picture windows & balcony. A close drive into Orange or to visit many interesting sites.
