- SUsan (10/5): Absolutely wonderful. - The setting, the beds, the facilities, the view, the communication. Nothing
- Motorola (10/5): Matt and Jeanell - Relaxing location, very clean and well appointed suitable for long or short stay. Beautiful grounds and safe area not too far from town No real negatives. Our cottage would have been challenging for someone with mobility issues due to the split level, but did not impact us.

- Wendy (9/5): - Very spacious. Lots of beds; would be great for a large family. Sooo many cockatoos flying around every afternoon! (I don’t know why my review states Studio apartment, we stayed in the main accommodation.) The downstairs beds were hard, which made them uncomfortable for me, so we chose the upstairs main bed, which was comfy.

- Vicki (10/5): We went to visit family in Dubbo and would highly recommend this place great if you have kids to run around and for your - Everything it was fabulous very quiet and well appointed plenty of room for a family. The bed downstairs extremely uncomfortable I think the bathroom and shower doors need locks but not here or there and spiral stairs could do with a child safety barrier at the bottom

- Daniel (9/5): Highly Recommend - Absolutely beautiful stay, Tracey was very welcoming and helpful. The Cellar was well appointed, and nicely finished. Everything you could need away from home (right down to cuddles from the cat!). Lovely surrounding, for those wanting to take a break from the hustle and bustle. Very clean and comfortable (I'm super particular!). Highly recommend staying here if your looking for a Dubbo escape. Not having the kids with us to enjoy it! Otherwise could not fault!

- Frances (10/5): We definitely recommend staying at Outback Cellar and will return to stay there again in the future! - Our stay at Outback Cellar was wonderful. The cottage was absolutely beautiful, well stocked with everything we needed and exceptionally well decorated. The grounds were meticulously well maintained, expansive and we, along with our pets really enjoyed our stay! Nothing! Everything was perfect!

- Eugene (10/5): - Great facilities with a big fenced yard for our two puppies to play. Good walks around the property and the house was really lovely. Our only regret was that we hadn't booked for longer.

- Beachbabe64 (10/5): Amazing relaxing stay in a beautiful cottage - Loved the quietness on the property. Owner was absolutely lovely . Helped hubby light the log fire.
Very comfortable cottage with everything you need including a few extras such as oil etc Nothing
- Jacqueline (9/5): Superb - The cottage and fireplace The wet Weather
- Catherine (9/5): Tracy is very welcoming and friendly. We loved our stay, the fireplace, and the fire pit. The kids enjoyed the cat on si - The fireplace and the property are quiet, but the zoo is only a 20-minute drive away.
- Robyn (10/5): Excellent country experience but close to city - The cottage was on a farm with lots of outdoor private space. Kitchen was well set up for cooking with lots of extras, even fresh eggs in refrigerator.
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - As soon as we arrived at the property entrance and travelled the gum lined drive, I knew we'd found somewhere special. The grounds were stunning and the perfect place for walking, relaxing and contemplating the flocks of cockatoos wheeling overhead.
Tracey was lovely: we felt very welcome. The boys were free to run and play in the gardens which was so appreciated after the very long trip they'd had. Complimentary milk and the freshest eggs gave us tea that night; so grateful.
The Sheridan towels were big, soft and fluffy and felt like an extra luxury along with the high quality bed linen. These little touches make the difference.
Finding excellent accommodation really does make the difference to a holiday and the Outback Cellar definitely turned our long trip to Dubbo Zoo with two grandsons, into a fantastic experience. I know the boys will have special memories of footy on the green lawn, sleeping in a loft and patting the farm cat.
I highly recommend The Outback Cellar as prime accommodation when staying in Dubbo. It was all perfect.
- Guy (10/5): Beautiful, peaceful family time - We had a wonderful relaxing weekend with family and dogs. Tracey was welcoming and easily contacted but not intrusive like some hosts we have experienced before. We had perfect weather - everything you need was supplied but the extra thoughtful touches felt so spoily. The yard on the cottage is safe and secure for the girls - highly important to us. The visas and photo ops are such an added bonus. Nothing for us - but be organised if you don't want to interrupt your stay running into Dubbo.
- Nathanael (10/5): Exceptional - The stars, the fire pit and the fireplace, the shower and the friendly cat named Cat. The soft moos and bleats of cows and sheep when outside at night.
- Ashlea (10/5): It was a little slice of paradise. - It was beautifully presented, had everything we needed, great spaces both indoor and outdoor. Magical place to stay!
- Colin (8/5): A lovely cottage, beautiful setting on a property close to town. - A beautiful cottage in a peaceful location. The facilities at the cottage provided everything we needed for a short stay. We were out of town but close enough to visit the Zoo easily. Communication with the owner was great.
- David (10/5): Amazing weekend stay. - The best pet friendly place we have ever been to. The yard was fenced and our little Cav King Charles had a ball exploring. Very quiet location. The host is a very friendly person. The quality of inclusions was amazing. We enjoyed it so much we have booked a return visit. Not a thing
- Victoria (8/5): Best value for money accom - so worth it! - Being able to show city kids what a dark sky looks like and experiment with astrophotography. Lovely modern bathroom and well appointed (but very small bench) kitchen. Very welcoming and a lovely large space to relax in. The towels were luxurious! There was a strong sulfur smell in the bathroom and toilet. Not sure if septic aroma or smell of the water (well). Hard to flush quietly at night due to the chopper for septic.
- Sally (10/5): Perfect! - If you don’t want a noisy van park or motel room then Outback Cellar is for you. It’s only 10 mins outside of Dubbo so no big deal at all. The cottage is perfect! Pretty, tranquil, quiet, clean and super cosy. Great for our family of 4. Tracey provided everything and more, including the kind use of her washing machine. The indoor and outdoor fires were loaded and ready to go, and the enormous bath tub in the ensuite was AMAZING! The beds were all beautifully made and smelled so clean. It was fully self contained and more….even a Nespresso coffee machine. She has really thought of everything for this vineyard/farm stay. We would not stay anywhere else bow when in Dubbo!
- Vivien (10/5): A wonderful place to relax and rest. - Out of town so very peaceful, clean, comfortable and well maintained.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (10/5): Perfection quietness comforting and beautiful - The quietness and the smell of fresh air is what draws me to a farm stay
I stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage with my 13 year old son we lit a fire inside in the fireplace all wood provided and toasted marshmallows I cooked dinner with the farm fresh eggs provided and we sat and talked (this is rare) I took a bath in the huge bathtub and we called it a night, slow start to the day we fed the farm chickens collected more eggs looked around and made friends with the farm cat, sat outside and enjoyed a open fire and looked at the stars
- Christine (10/5): Unique, relaxing, beautiful little getaway - We recently stayed here for two nights to celebrate what would have been my father-in-law’s birthday after his recent passing. From the moment we arrived, Tracey was incredibly accommodating—warm, kind, and genuinely understanding, especially with our curious son who has special needs. Not once did she make us feel like we were a bother, and her compassion meant the world to us.
The property itself is absolutely stunning—truly one of the most beautiful gardens I’ve ever seen. The cellar was such a unique, peaceful space and the perfect spot to unwind. We’re so grateful for the experience and are already looking forward to returning one day. Thank you, Tracey, for making our stay so special.
- Leuryn (10/5): Amazing would do it again ! - Loved the breakfast provided (milk fresh eggs). Kitchen had everything you need. Plenty of towels and toiletries provided. Amazing building and the stars are amazing . Was vey quiet and away from all noise so was great. Had everything we needed. Aircon was great. I loved the random farm cat and wanted to take it home ! Staff were very friendly and accomodating with arrival times. Great communication when attending arrival etc . I didn’t want to leave and 100% would recommend !
- Brett (10/5): A wonderful place recommended for anyone travelling to the Dubbo area. Pet friendly as well! - Outback Cellar & Country Cottage was an excellent location for our 2 night stopover. We stayed in The Cottage and the accommodation was great with everything we needed including great supplies for breakfast which we cooked up on the BBQ provided. The gardens and surrounds were beautiful and our pup loved running around on the lush lawn in the backyard. Communication with Tracey was great and we had everything we needed for an excellent stay. We would definitely stay there again and hopefully for more nights the next time. Everything was great
- Katrin (10/5): The perfect holiday! - What an amazing property!!! The cottage is so pretty and well equipped. We've enjoyed every minute of it. We took photographs of the sunrise as well as the stars and enjoyed the zoo, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the Dubbo Gaol and the Wellington Caves along with it (Dubbo Discovery Pass). Nothing, we loved everything about it.
- Kristy (10/5): Loved the cottage. It was clean and comfortable with everything at hand we needed. - The property was beautiful and perfect for our needs with the enclosed yard for our Puppy. The Yard was perfectly maintained. Area was out of town and quiet.
- Ragnar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (9/5): A quaint cottage on a quiet property in the country. - Nicely presented period cottage on a quiet working farm. Staff kept away from us during our stay so it was very private. Overall a pleasant experience. Noisy sausage dogs.
- Susan (10/5): A wonderful country get away to escape and relax in an absolutely beautiful quiet setting. - The location was stunning, true country with the cows and birds. It was clean, stylish, comfortable and cosy. Nothing!
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaz (10/5): Slice of Magic.... - Absolutely everything!!!!! Beyond my expectations..... Beautiful, peaceful, amazing, just a gorgeous place overall. NOTHING....
- James (10/5): Excellent place to relax - The two bedroom cottage was beautiful and spotlessly clean It was a bit out of Dubbo but so peaceful and relaxing Nothing !!!
- Claire (10/5): The perfect escape - This property was amazing. Beautiful, immaculate and fantastic fenced space for our dog. Nothing
- Becca (9/5): Incredible accommodation - Beautiful location and beautiful accommodation. Adorable sausage dogs and barn cats. I named the barn cats Bingus (tortie) and Bongus(grey tabby). Phone Internet service is a bit sketchy, but this has nothing to do with the accommodation.
- Kaushalya (9/5): Superb -
- Glenn (9/5): Very happy, would be very happy to go back. - Beautiful property, very peaceful but close to town also. Peaceful, clean and great quality items.
- Qi-zhang (10/5): very relaxed getaway - Everything is loved and thoughtful, I even found a hair wrap towel for long hair. The firewood stove is a plus although we didn’t end up using it (kids didn’t want to have pizza for dinner), would love to try next time. Tracey, the host, made sure we are familier with all facilities and got everything we need for our stay. It's a pleasure to meet you and we enjoyed our stay. Everything is great!!!
- Ahamed (9/5): Comfy and peaceful - We enjoyed the serenity of the location. Stairs in the lounge area.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -

- Emma (10/5): Beyond exceptional with serenity - From the moment we drove into the long drive way we felt a sense of peace and serenity. We were in awe of the sheep and cows with their babies. We were welcomed with the phrase “welcome to your home for the next few days”. We entered the cottage and were stunned by the level of luxe/country feel. We were beyond happy with our choice to stay at this beautiful cottage. Our stay was exceptional! That we had to leave.

All the facilities were excellent and there was a great selection of brews. We chose to light the log fire at night. Gardens for wandering were well kept. Next time we would bring our own food as there was a 20-30 minute round trip to shop.
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olivia (10/5): Highly recommend this property - The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make our own food. It’s about 20 mins to the zoo and 10 mins to the supermarket. Our dog had a beautiful garden to play and rest. All good
- Zena (10/5): I would recommend a stay here, it was well worth the short trip out of town. - The location was gorgeous. The grounds photogenic. The owner was very friendly and willing to please. The room was atmospheric and different to standard motel rooms. Being a little out of town meant it was very quiet and peaceful. The only thing that was a minor issue was the noise the toilet made when flushed (pump for septic tank).
- Debbie (8/5): Would stay again if in the area. - Beautiful farm stay in Dubbo within close proximity to Dubbo Zoo. The hostess was friendly and approachable meeting us on arrival for key handover. Nothing
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional and added so much to our Dubbo holiday. - Outback Cellar was a beautiful experience in every way. It was lovely to stay in a cellar and experience its warm and cozy atmosphere.
Thoroughly enjoyed wandering through the farm’s beautiful gardens and our girls (7 and 8) enjoyed spotting all the little quirky things they could find.
A walk each afternoon to relax at the end of the day down the long driveway and also to the river was an excellent way to soak in the last of the days sun. Then followed by a fire and a pizza cooked in the pizza oven. The best pizza we have all had. Delicious.
Cannot recommend enough. It made our Dubbo experience exceptional and added so so much to our holiday.
Thank you Tracey it was fabulous.
- Megan (10/5): A perfect country escape. - A beautiful location, away from it all but only a short drive from town. The cellar and surrounding gardens were delightful and had everything we needed for a relaxing, self-catered break. The kids especially loved being able to use the fire pit in the evenings, and being adopted by the farm cat. The host, Tracey, was very helpful and friendly.
- Martha (10/5): Well maintained, delightful cottage in tranquil scenery. - Spent 3 nights in the cottage. The property was beautiful. The grounds were lovely and so well maintained. The cottage was extremely clean and comftable. Perfect for a couple/ family. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and hope we get to stay again.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean & comfortable - everything is thought of; from bug spray to soft fluffy towels! Plenty of coffee/tea/sugar etc. Absolutely quiet & peaceful with the added bonus of being pet friendly. Nothing.

- Emily (9/5): Absolutely beautiful stay. - Beautiful cellar cottage. Decor fabulous. Facilities were just lovely. Beds were comfortable. Accommodation was spacious. Full kitchen with plenty of utensils, games and activities. Beautiful property to walk around. Close to town, but far enough that it is completely peaceful and tranquil. All the extras to make for a comfortable stay. Would highly recommend.
- Larinda (10/5): Some of these places are a real surprise and this is one of them!! - The property is a hidden Gem - completely relaxing, peaceful and a true get away from the business of life. The attention to detail, view of the birds and farm fields, gorgeous gardens, the fully fenced yard for our doggies, fabulous shower pressure, comfy bed - everything was perfect and only a 20minute drive from the zoo. Nothing
- Joanne (10/5): Lovely cottage stay with excellent facilities in a beautiful countryside location - Lovely cottage, with a beautiful fenced in garden. Perfect to sit and watch the kangaroos & farm animals. Quiet & serene location but still close to Dubbo Zoo. Bathrooms were newly renovated with lovely showers. Owners & staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a visit
- Zhang (9/5): Everything was perfect except for the little flying creatures. - Nice view, can see kangaroos in the yard. There’re large assortment of bugs that would crawl in through the side windows to the roof at night. I'm terrified of big flying bugs, so I have to keep my bedroom door closed.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verell (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage has such a homely feel.I was away for a very emotional weekend for a 10yr old's family reunion and he felt so safe and comfy when we were back at the cottage.
