Jo (7/5): Good - It certainly was an interesting experience, I enjoyed my hike & the chance to make my own Cacao bar, I met some lovely people & enjoyed the peaceful life the Bribri live. The area was beautiful. I would advise that you contact the guide in advance to be clear on what is expected of you, pricing for individual tours, travel into the jungle, food etc. I recommend this experience for anyone interested in the Culture & the old ways of Indigenous People's 😊🙏 The cockerel's are up very early, I suggest ear plugs

Jitka (10/5): Highly recommendet! It is a perfect place to pull yourselves together. - I had a personal guide in Armando! He picked me up at the bus-stop which I highly appreciated-it was late night when I arrived, dark and I had no idea where to go. No mobil reception. You know, a countryside. He showed me around, tought me about his culture - very interesting, took me to the typical Bribri village to get the feeling of Bribri life and their habits and was always pation with my question. I did enjoy the stay very much. His mam served me typical breakfast and dinner of the best home-quality for a good value. I also had enough time to relax privately in the comfort of quiet area nearby the National park La Amistad, to meditate or just to read a book. So peaceful. I´ll definitely come back again and stay longer. Well, it was very annoing for me to listen to the rooster between 3-6 am permanentely :D He was so laud!! :D I know! I stayed in a small village. Just wanted to write something "negativ". In the right meaning, it was amazing too! The rooster and his girls live free around the house... Like one unit. Everyone and everything connected, working together and relying on each other.

Arianna (9/5): Highly recommended - It's not just a stay, it's an experience. More authentic than the expensive guided tours made by people who don't live in the Bribri community. The village is lovely and easy to reach by bus. Armando is much involved in different projects of the community and very passionate about their culture. Be prepared to long conversations with much info! I stayed one night but I think it's not enough to fully experience this special place. I suggest a minimum of 2 nights, 3 or more if possible.
