• Andis (10/5): 10 out of 10 - Very well equipped apartment. Excellent, very helpful and friendly host. Best in my experience so far. Traffic is a bit challenging in this area due to narrow roads, but it was worth visiting the area.

• Christos (10/5): - Mr. Kleopas, was waiting for us until we get in the village,was so welcome,showing us every room of the house, every single thing,was so helpful and trustworthy. A small village with few people small roads and paths were you can understand that were crucial for the survival of the people that time. House is equipped with everything you can imagine,simple small things.Very organised and professional. Moreover don't worry at all about the weather,central heating & wood stove keep the place so warm that you can even stay with a t-shirt. Village was decorated on Christmas mood with lights and everything . Mr.Stelios has a small tavern ''Alona tavern'' which you can enjoy really tasty food. Warm place. Absolutely amazing place,definitely we will go back again A big Thanks again to Mr.Kleopas who made our stay feels like our home. Christos&Anna

If you ever find yourself in the Troodos Mountains, do yourself a favor and book a stay at Kleopas’s place in Alona village — you won’t want to leave! The house is spotless, fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and a comfortable stay. Above all, Kleopas’s hospitality is the warmest you’ll find. Even if Alona wasn’t on your list, it’s worth the trip! The village is charming, traditional, and simply adorable. Highly recommended!

• Thomas (10/5): Perfekt eingerichtete Oase der Ruhe und Gastfreundschaft in den Bergen - Liebevoll renoviertes und perfekt eingerichtetes altes Haus inmitten eines urigen Dorfes. Gemütlicher Innenhof mit authentischer Atmosphäre. Super bequeme Betten. Alles ist bestens gepflegt und perfekt sauber. Der Gastgeber Kleopas ist außergewöhnlich hilfsbereit und ausgesprochen großzügig, er hat uns mit hauseigenen Köstlichkeiten beglückt. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dort ein paar Tage verbringen wollen. Auf rund 1300 m ist das Klima natürlich auch im Hochsommer sehr angenehm und nicht so unerträglich schwül wie an der Küste - wir konnten gut schlafen, ohne die Klimaanlage zu benutzen. Die außergewöhnlich hohe Bewertung ist tatsächlich kein Fake, sondern gerechtfertigt. Wer in die Berge fährt, weiß in der Regel, dass es dort keine Schnellstraßen gibt.
• Neil (10/5): An absolute joy! - We stayed as a family and had the most wonderful time. The house is impeccable and so beautifully done. The owner had done the property up beautifully whilst still retaining lots of the old features but also has everything you could possibly need. The area is so peaceful and quiet and is a lovely welcoming community. We arrived on a day the restaurant was closed but it was beautiful to sit out in the evening on the terrace for dinner as the kitchen is really well equipped. Lovely three spacious bedrooms which could easily accommodate 6 people and although the house is naturally cool, the air conditioning was excellent. The owner is an absolute joy, nothing was any trouble and he went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Lots of lovely extras at the house, including home made wine which was really lovely. Only sad we had only booked in for one night. Absolutely nothing it was amazing!

• Richiecy (10/5): A great little escape - Pictures don't do justice. Is much more beautiful in reality. Comfy beds, it has all the necessities including dishwasher and washing machine. Beside central heating (and hot water) there is also a wood stove which covers the whole apartment. Mr. Kleopas is very helpful and gives you all the information you will need for your stay. He also provided coffee,tea,cookies and a bottle of his own wine (which was great).

The owner Kleopas treated us to snacks and even firewood for the fireplace. The village was quiet and the perfect get-away from the noisy city. Overall, this was one of the most amazing weekends we had on the mountains and we have Kleopas and the beautiful little heaven he created to thank for this! We will be back for sure!

Well welcomed by host with small attentions (home made wine and cookies) Sound Isolation is not that good especially for seconde floor. The room which is between stairs and shower room is screened with wood wall but not untill the roof so we can hear all of the first floor. It could be very annoying for those who are sensitive to noise. Not very convient for those who like going to restaurants during the vacation (only one family restaurant in the village)

There is a signed nature walk from the village church. The path to the front door is very uneven and rocky. Alona is very quiet with limited choice of one sports bar taverna for dinner. There are no kiosks, so bring your staples.

• Anton (10/5): Whether you're going to work remotely or have a nice quiet weekend, choose this place! - This is an ideal place in summer. In Alona (the village where "To Apokentro" is situated) the temperature is 8-10 grades less than on the shore. So, it's much more comfortable in July and in August. 1nd. The house is perfect. Fully equipped and extraordinarily clean. 2rd. The owner is great. If the internet is slow, he fixes it. If you want some local food, he brings it. If you have any questions, he answers. And does not disturb you! 3rd Very quiet place. You can walk for an hour and don't meet a car. People in the village are very friendly (but don't speak English well) and ready to help. Be ready to say "Yasas" or "Hello" 15-20 times per hour). And the last thing. If you work remotely, this is a great place! Nothing disturbs you and you can focus! Nothing! But be ready that this is a real village. One cafe, no shops, no pharmacies, no stores.

• Anastasia (10/5): I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a cozy and quiet weekend getaway. - I was looking for a quiet weekend getaway and To Apokentro turned out to be exactly what I was looking for and more. The interior of the house where I stayed was a charming combination of the traditional old house with wood and stone elements and modern kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen was equipped with everything necessary for making the kind of coffee that you like, as well as making a proper meal. The owners also took great care in adding little details to interior decor that made my stay even more pleasant. A bowl of fresh cherries from the garden was also a treat! The large outside terrace was an ideal place for morning coffee and breakfast, as well as for cozy dinners. The place was also very quiet, so great for a good night's sleep.

• Shachar (10/5): Perfect - Everything was just perfect and much beyond our expectations! Just book the place without any hesitations! One of the most best places I stayed, and it was by far the most cleanest place I ever saw. Beside the fact everything was super clean it also has a personal touch of the lovely host. The house was full with everything we needed, including lots of fruits of the host's personal garden. We will definitely come back and recommend to all our friends. PLS note there are not any open restaurants/ coffee shops in Alona village, so the place is perfect for people who like to cook their own food or to drive to the closest village.
