The location of the house was very convenient, with many places easily accessible by car within a short drive. As a traditional Cypriot house, it had an authentic and charming atmosphere.
However, the hosts were extremely attentive. Although well-intentioned, this attention sometimes felt a bit excessive and slightly uncomfortable. Other than that, the stay was generally pleasant.

- Mikelis (1/5): I did not even stayed there I went on another hotel … - We did not even stayed - it was bad Cold, dirty and not what it looks like from the photos
- Anna (10/5): - Everything. The owner had the fireplace already on when we arrived late. The place is cozy, there is hot water for showering, she had extra blankets in case it got more cold. Lovely place :)

- Adamou (8/5): - I really liked the kindness of our host and how the place seemed really comfortable and cosy
There was a nice environment as well. There were a couple of leaks due to the heavy rain, but that wasn't too much of a problem
- Serguei (7/5): - Good location. Very welcoming owner. There was a bottle of offered red wine, it was very nice. For some reason there was no hot water in the shower. Some light switches didn't work. There is no panel sign indicating the entry of the property's parking, so it can be tricky to find, especially during the night.

- Fabian (10/5): - We had a wounderfoul stay in Xenis House. The landlady was helpful, forthcoming and charming. She even gave us freshly picked clementines. We really enjoyed our stay and would come again.
- Bartosz (8/5): - parking, cisza, ładny dom i pokój, stolik i taras dostępny przed domem

- Marisa (8/5): It was a beautiful stay surrounded by nature with a waterfall within walking distance. - The "apartment" is very rustic and has a beautiful courtyard which makes the place feel like home. It feels a little like going back in time and not touristy at all. The host is an excellent helpful person who comes to check if you need anything very frequently. The decor needs an uplift

- Prygay (10/5): Exceptional - The hostess was very generous. The apartment is very spacious, and we enjoyed our stay there."
- Serghei (10/5): Authentic Cyprus Experience - The place was wonderful, it has a beautiful front yard with a peaceful garden filled with fruit trees that is right next to the river which you can hear when you’re there, making for a great relaxing time. The studio on the first floor that I was staying has a very traditional Cypriot theme to it which was cool to experience. It had everything you’d need, fully equipped and spacious. It was very quiet when I was staying there. The location is just perfect, very close to the supermarket and also the beautiful walking tracks that lead you to the top of the village and towards the mountains. The owner lady and her partner were incredibly friendly!
- Florian (8/5): Really enjoyed our time - Great and welcoming host! Love the fruits from her garden Bathroom and kitchen are fully functional but renovation would be nice.
- Andrie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mariia (9/5): A perfect place for a quiet weekend, to unwind, recharge, and enjoy the mountains. - We absolutely loved this place and would love to come back. Our room had a fireplace, and even though we paid extra for the firewood, the joy of lighting it was worth 100 times more. Waking up to the mountain view was amazing — such a peaceful and beautiful moment. It was hard to get the shower water temperature right, but since the weather was warm, it wasn’t a big problem. Also, we couldn’t find any tea in the house or in the village — everything was closed for Easter.
- Zafrir (9/5): big quiet view - The upstair room has a big balcony with nice view to the mountain
large room with well equiped kitchen The shower hot stream is not so good
- Marta (10/5): Amazing place that cannot be missed - What I liked first was the hospitality and welcoming approach of the host. The host is lovely person ;-). The place is in perfect location, walking distance to Galata centre and to Kakopetria also. Very quiet area
- Athanasios (10/5): Exceptional -
- Antonio (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location for a getaway. The owner was very sweet and welcoming and helped guide us of the area. She also had firewood available and gifted us a delicious wine from Kyperounta. Bed was cozy and warm. Bath was bubbly. ^^
- Andreas (9/5): Really well taken care of. Overall amazing experience, quiet and peacful, very minor complaints. - Very kind host. Everything we needed was provided and if something was missing they would respond very quickly.
Complimentary bottle of village wine was waiting for us on the table and the room was tidy and clean.
Fireplace was beautiful with all the tools needed for us to cook directly on it. BBQ basics were provided.
Water for the shower was always hot.
As quiet as it gets. Haven't enjoyed sleep like this in a long while. I would appriciate if the wood for the fireplace was included in the price and not paid after the booking. We shouldnt be forced to pay 10 euro for a small box of wood lasting one night. Not a big deal but would be appriciated as other more affordable stays provided the wood for free.
Bathroom was a bit cramped as they decided to fit a small jacuzi in it and not much room to sit on the toilet. Spacious shower would have been way more appriciated.
- Neofytos (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (3/5): Poor -
- Andreas (8/5): Very good -
- Tomer (10/5): A really homey spot - The ambiance was amazing, nice fireplace and they provide the wood at an additional price. the owner was very cute and made sure we have everything.
There is a great spot to sit outside and chat.
Also the bed was great. The jacuzzi was small, me and my partner like to bath together and there wasn't enough space.

- Ellie (1/5): Will not visit again, listing is not representing the truth. - Fruit on table, got the extra sheet I asked for, cold water in fridge and coffee and coffee mixer available. Was difficult to find, had to find small signs on the road instead of using our google maps. We contacted the host when we arrived, she was difficult to understand. Told us she would get there in 5 minutes, was nowhere to be found. We wanted to lay down after our trip, had to wait for her. The door is difficult to open/close/lock, didn't feel secure. No view at the mountain, as advertised. No table outside either, as shown in photos. The bathroom was really bad, toilet was squished in corner between jacuzzi and wall, could not use it comfortably, had to hold it in for 2 days. Also, bathroom sink is tiny, and hands fit barely to get washed. Bathroom window does not have a net, to protect from insects etc. so that we can leave it open to air out bathroom, not romantic at all. In terms of sleeping, pillows were tiny and really low, mattress was too firm and our heads ended up in weird angle and couldn't sleep, no extra pillows in wardrobe. Curtain and bed cover had cigarette burn holes and wall next to bed was dirty and had dead spider dangling. Blanket had hair from previous person. In terms of amenities, hand soaps were tiny, dish sponge dirty and no paper towel for our hands in kitchen, or even a kitchen towel. Toilet paper was bad quality and too thin, had 2 rolls available. Biggest issue was that we couldn't sleep, at night there was lots of light from kitchen window, straight opposite from bed, so no privacy either, curtains were almost transparent. No dark curtains or way to keep the light out. When the sun came up, around 6 am, whole room was lit, couldn't sleep. I didn't use the jacuzzi, so no idea about that. Air condition was noisy and old, took sometime to work properly. Needs a new one.
- Gansach (10/5): Exceptional - In a hidden peaceful corner of Troodos mountains, a lovely spacious studio and a very friendly host
- Javier (9/5): Haven of peace in the mountain - The owners were so friendly
Charming rustic house in a quiet place to relax, including a jacuzzi that worked perfectly (for more services, Kakopetria is less than 5 minutes driving)
Parking next to the house
The terrace has a beautiful vine (full of bunches of grapes), ideal for sitting and spending a nice evening with the freshness of the mountain
Complete kitchen, with all the necessary utensils for cooking The bed and pillows could be more comfortable
Booking (or owners) should be notified that payment can only be made in cash

- Kurt (4/5): Not a place to feel well and at home. - Good view from the terasse. Mini market nearby. Parking right in front of the house. Peaceful, quiet environment. Good bed. Very old shabby furniture. No towels. Smelling AC that needs maintenance. A dark unpleasant place without any atmosphere at all.
- Georgesavvides (7/5): Good -
- Peristiani (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly and hospitable host!
Loved the location! And the simplicity of the home. I personally love more lighting in a house.
Due to the fact it's an traditional home it's built to have less light coming into it that I'd personally like.
It has character though. So it's still quite nice.
- Roydah (8/5): Great location and great host - Old type but great location , great host,
Working equipment kitchen utensils The stairs rails loose.
The toilet downstairs quite small
Door not lockable
- El (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Everything
- Arie (8/5): Like visiting your grandparents in the countryside - The hosts were very nice and accommodating. It felt like visiting your grandparents in the countryside. they tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They went to pick fruits from their tree and shared them with us. The map on Booking showed the wrong address so it was hard to find. I suggest contacting the host and asking for the exact location on Google Maps otherwise it is hard to find even with the address since it is a tiny street and even when you enter the street it is a sharp left turn that is so easy to miss. But once you find it its OK.
- Mirko (10/5): Loved this place! - Lovely apartment at Troodos mountains, in Galata town. The owner is an amazing person. She was so welcoming and was able to communicate with us in English. The accommodation had everything we needed. Parking right outside the door, nice bed and great location. Wish I had time to stay longer. Efjaristó!
- Joaquim (3/5): Greedy owner, please stay away - Kitchen The owner is very greedy. Tried to charge us 20 EUR more after we arrived The communication is very hard. Recommend to book other places around. The house was not used for long and the air inside was not fresh.
The bed was uncomfortable.
- Mpitar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clara (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved our stay here, and we'll definitely come back. Beautiful property, an authentic old house, a beautiful garden where you can sit and have breakfast. The owners are so friendly and welcoming, they brought us oranges and eggs from their own chicken. The kitchen is well equipped so that you can cook as well.
The house is located in Galata, you have a supermarket and the bar of the village close by, and it's only a 20 minute walk to Kakopetria. The surroundings are extremely beautiful. Stay here, you won't regret it! Everything was great! Just keep in mind that the location on Booking is wrong, but on Google maps it's correct.

- Nikoletta (8/5): Very good - How peaceful it was. Great place!
- Michelle (7/5): Good -
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Fiodor (6/5): Pleasant - The room is big, close to the village center and the main road with some drug store and coffee bar. Inside, is like wooden made.
Nice place but too expensive for what you get. Pay attention because the room isn't located at the booking's address, it's wrong, it's better to follow the google maps one, I spoke about it with the owner.
The owners don't speak english so much, they ask for cash payment despite I payed online. I think that they just didn't understand the booking system at 100%, but, finally, we managed to clarify.
- Mike (4/5): used Booking.com a number of times and property does not meet the standard we have come to expect - N/A Room badly laid out. Shower/toilet did not keep up with the theme of being an old house.
The bed was very high and the host said if it was too high we could use the sofa which converted into a bed.
- Ramas (7/5): Good - It looks authentic. Nice view of nature. Nice property owner. Uncomfortable bed (need minor repair, squeaky). Dificult to regulate hot water in shower. Property is not at lokation speciied in booking page (need to search Xenis house on googlemaps).
- Andreani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valentina (8/5): Very good - Location is good, in the center of Galata and near one of the Troodos Monastry. The apartment is very big with kitchen and fridge. It is a traditional house with a wooden balcony, very tipical. The apartment is a little dark and the furniture need an update. The light switch of the bathroom is in an uncorfortable position.
The payment can be done only in cash.
- Georgia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - It's located right in the centre of the village. There is a supermarket 5 minutes from there and it's only 20 minutes on foot to Kakopetria! The room is traditional and cosy and the air conditioning works really well 😁 The property didn't include a lot of pots and pans and the fridge is quite small.
- Yousef (10/5): The wonderful village - The host is very gracious and helpful, We had an amazing time staying ,Romantic and beatiful, perfection place, everything is perfect rooms, kitchen, bathroom and terrace,
Close to the market and the bus station, The village has stunning views, You wake up in the morning to the sound of birdsong and the sound of river water near the hotel, Close to the market and the bus station,
I will definitely stay there next time when I visit Kakopetria again.
- Kiriakos (10/5): Exceptional - Grear place to stay, quite and friendly owners. Definately will come back Everything was perfect
- Pablo (10/5): Best choice for Kakospetria! - The owner is the best, so kind, and the apartment was so clean and the best experience. The place is surrounded by nature and really nice people
