• Warren (10/5): A Beautiful, scenic and homely hideaway - We really enjoyed the views, the ambiance of our surroundings and the earthy, cosy aspects of the house itself. The fire was a wonderful addition to each chilly and wet evening, and being able to sit on the verandah and feed the rosellas or have a spa was a very special extra. New pans and pots, and potentially some cozier couches, would definitely be welcome additions but these are minor details.

• Chris (9/5): Amazing tranquility with a touch of luxury at an affordable price - This is an outstanding property for a short stay. The tranquility is through the roof, the spa under the stars on our last night was next level. So much to love, abundant wildlife, beautifully appointed, plenty of space, sunrise views from our private deck, responsive hosts. A very affordable gem right on the Great Ocean Road, a perfect base for our Great Ocean Walk. I really couldn't fault this property. I'll definitely stay again.

• Azi (10/5): A peaceful and memorable stay surrounded by nature and friendly hosts. - We had a wonderful and peaceful stay at Glenaire Cottages. We were lucky to spot a few koalas, including one with her baby, and even saw one right from the balcony of our cottage. Bek and Sev were incredibly kind and thoughtful. When we asked where we might find koalas nearby, they called us straight away once they spotted one, which made our experience extra special. We also enjoyed feeding the birds using the complimentary bird food provided on the balcony. It truly felt like sleeping in nature, a quiet and relaxing escape that made us feel completely refreshed. We would definitely love to come back with our family. While our stay was excellent, breakfast items such as bread, milk, or cereal were not provided. This was not a big issue for us as we were informed beforehand and had packed our own food, and since it was only the two of us, we had enough space in the car to bring what we needed. However, it might be more convenient for families or larger groups if basic breakfast options were available. Even a small addition like milk and cereal would make the stay even better.

• Aromin (10/5): We were extremely pleased with the whole experience & will be back. - Location was wonderfully peaceful & the views were outstanding as you look out over the hills to the ocean. Beautiful crimson Rosella's eating out of your hand & the local feral deer eating on the border between the bush & lawns. If it wasn't for mains electricity you could almost call this "off grid".
• Helen (7/5): A lovely relaxing hideaway - The location and peacefulness Don’t dislike the property , just a few extras could be added to make it value for money, such as a choice of 2 pillows on the beds and a couple of cushions on the sofas ,.Also the hot water ran out very quickly so the spa was only lukewarm warm and not enough for a shower too . There was also only seating for 2 people outside when the property is marketed for 2-4 .
• Georgia (7/5): Lovely location, outdoor bath was incredible. - Location was fantastic, and having the fenced yard for our dog was wonderful (she loved having a run around). We stayed in the Lake Cottage. Bed was very comfortable, and the outdoor bath was the real highlight. Being able to have a hot bath whilst its cold outside, and watching the birds land balcony rail, was beautiful. Having the firewood stacked ready beside the fireplace inside, with more wood prepped outside, was also great. Place was neat and clean on a surface level, but for the price per night, I would have expected a bit more care. One of the blinds didn't have a chain to lower it (you did it manually, and had to roll it back up yourself), and the sliding door on the water closet isn't actually snug/was prone to sliding out of frame. Whole cottage could do with a proper deep clean, and a bit of TLC, to really make it feel cosy and like you're getting value for money. I would be happy to recommend to friends for location/the experience, but would be forewarning them re: these things so they could make an informed choice re: if they think its good value.

• Sarah (10/5): Amazing! - I am so glad that we chose to stay at Glenaire cottages. The owners were so helpful and provided some ideas for eating places and things to do around the area. The location was great, only about half an hour from Apollo Bay. The accomodation was spacious and everything we needed for a couple night stay was provided. There is a bbq area, wood fire inside (would be perfect for a winter stay) and lots of space outside. It was perfect for our two children. We were able to put a little seed out and had some beautiful Crimson Rosella’s come and say hello- both the kids loved this! It was such a peaceful, relaxing location for our stay along the Great Ocean Road and if we come back to the area will definitely come back! There wasn’t much not to like!!

The cottage was cozy, charming, and the perfect escape for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the stunning Otways. I arrived to find a spotless, well-equipped space, complete with breathtaking views of the bushland and ocean. Being able to bring my dog along was an added bonus that made the experience even more special. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and communication with the hosts was easy and pleasant. They provided an extensive list of recommendations for things to see and do in the local area, which was incredibly helpful. I would be delighted to stay here again!

• Ludwig (10/5): Perfect stay for a couple or group of friends to fully recharge your battery - A great spa with a view, nunerous Koalas nearby, parking the car right outside the entrance door, heated blankets. Not much besides a couple moldy/dirty saucepans

Although designed to be rustic, the cleaning team could up their game…. Large cobwebs in the skylights, oven needed a clean, some lights not working.

• Kylie (8/5): We had a lovely peaceful stay at the cottage. - Location was great, and the space between the cabins was superb. We didn't hear our neighbours, was very peaceful. The place was very pet friendly with a large pen for the dog. Fire was great. We were provided a great list of things to do in the area if we wanted. The place was a little tired, kitchen was a bit dusty, felt I wanted to clean items before using them.
• Christopher (7/5): Good - Scenic, private location. Wood fire made the evenings cosy with only just enough wood for our stay. Overall the cottage was clean and had all the necessary facilities. The bed was not the most comfortable with quilt only just big enough to cover the bed and there were only 2 flat/lumpy pillows on the bed. There were more pillows in the cupboard but no pillow cases. Kitchen had the expected utensils if a bit flimsy and knives were blunt. Tv didn't have normal tv channels (satellite not working?) but internet was adequate to enable streaming (with own Chrome cast).

The birdlife that came to our balcony was exceptional. The fireplace made the cabin warm and cosy. Close to heaps of nearby attractions.

• Sandra (8/5): Really enjoyable, and the view is spectacular! - The cottage is rustic, that is, on the older side, but it is large and has a spectacular view! It is also surrounded by beautiful bush. It is beautifully decorated with lots of charming and quirky things. I loved the fire place, and I lit a fire each night as it was quite cold. There was also air conditioning in the main living area and a bar heater in the bedroom. There are crimson rosellas and other birds, and wallabies, I’m sure there is lots more wildlife I just didn’t get to see, The kitchen cupboards could be updated, and I couldn’t get the oven started, but that was fine, I just cooked my food on the stove top instead.

• Alannah (8/5): Very good - Well fenced off yard for our dog to run around in, a fireplace with ample kindling and wood (which had already been set up for us to light, which was a nice touch), bird seed for us to feed the native birds and an outdoor spa with a gorgeous view. Turn all the lights off at night for absolutely no light pollution - pretty nice change from the CBD!
• Sofia (8/5): Very good - The cottage was clean, good size, brilliant views, totally surrounded by nature. Warm with the fire going on arrival and plenty of fire wood. The supplied pantry provisions were non-existent. It did advertise the property as having a kitchen. There wasn't even oil, basic spices, butter (or even butter sachets), 2 coffee pods for the machine (2 people for 2 nights)
