I loved our room, most comfortable bed that I have slept in! Best Colombian/International breakfast, which can be adapted to your requests. Lovely pool for cooling down. Ethical ethos e.g. electricity all solar energy! Shower pressure could be stronger.

• Moreno (10/5): Very nice spot in the middle of nature - The property is very nice. It is a bit out of town and therefor really peaceful and quiet. The suroundings are very nice in the mittle of nature. I came to Santa Helena for paragliding and the owners always drove me to Siga La Vaca where the pickups for the Piedechinche launch site take of in the morning. In the evening when I wanted to go to town for dinner the owners drove me as well. On top they were really helpful and responded within seconds to any request. Can highly recommend! If you really have to be close to town then this isn‘t for you. But as said, the free pickup service is amazing so no need for that.

• George (10/5): A Country Stay at Villa Cristal - Hosts provided transportation to and from eating places and to shuttles for activities at no charge. They were were very welcoming and willing to help when I needed extra assistance. The venue was quiet with a nice pool. There were cats, dogs and, outside the fence, farm animals such as a potbellied pig, chickens, turkeys and goats. There were clothes lines for hanging wet laundry. The facility was very secure being inside a gated community and then inside its own gated property. Breakfast was available at a very reasonable cost. The ride from the airport was cheaper and more convenient than taking a taxi. Our hosts arranged for a driver to take us back to the airport for our 04:51 flight. Overall, I would highly recommend a stay here. The only thing that made staying here less than ideal is common to many places in Colombia, the hot water supply is somewhat variable. Sometimes it was cool and other times, too hot. By the end of my stay, I had figured it out enough to get a comfortable shower. Typically, there was no hot water in the sink.
