Guest Reviews
- PAUL (9/5): A delightful retreat that gave us a sense of life in the jungle! - We loved its remote location and being woken to bird song. We enjoyed the the warm hospitality. Mosquitoes could be annoying
- Lorraine (10/5): -
- Svava (10/5): Fantastisk vertskap, mye natur - Elsker vertskapet og maten.
- Jordan (10/5): Peaceful paradise! - We had a truly amazing time at Casa AliBri, it felt like we were staying with friends. You are surrounded by beautiful views and the sounds of birds, monkeys and the sea, so you can completely relax. The food was delicious, every meal felt like a treat. There was lots to do nearby and then you can come back to a very comfortable room. We’d highly recommend! Nothing bad about the place! Just bring insect repellent!
- Lydia (10/5): A refuge in the selva - Alix and Brice made my stay an absolute joy!
They are so kind and attentive without being intrusive and they made sure that I was safe and that I had everything that I needed.
The animals are very chilled and affectionate too.
Such close proximity to the Poza is a dream when the weather is so hot.
I had the loveliest time with them and I will stay with them again if I am lucky enough to make it back.
Thank you both so much for sharing your home with me and making me feel like it was my home too. Everything was wonderful.

- Allen (10/5): Up in the hills and forest, above the river, with engaging hosts - Alix and Brice are fine hosts. Knowledgeable about the surroundings and good conversationalists, they have created a restful place, immersed in forest. I liked everything about the property.
- Ákos (10/5): A paradise in the jungle for nature lovers. - Perfect. Everything. Wonderful hosts, excellent food (I asked for vegetarian), superb rooms and even better shared spaces to relax in an incredibly rich natural setting. The Enchanted Pools are also very close and well worth the visit. I am grateful for this experience and would love to come back in the future. It was so amazing, that I didn’t want to leave.
- Peterson (10/5): Most relaxing time with a super accommodating brother and sister team. - Very remote and peaceful. Loved waking up to the sound of birds and nothing else. Beautiful view over hills and valleys to the sea.
- Anita (9/5): Superb - The beautiful place and the host and hostess who did their utmost to offer us a pleasant stay The weather (rain1 all day) but that was just bad luck
- Michael (10/5): Amazing hosts! - Super amazing hosts--like visiting relatives! Alix and Brice are so cool, kind and hospitable. Brice is an amazing chef, and their pets are awesome. Highly recommend if you'd like to have a unique experience secluded in nature with lovely hosts. Everything was great from what we wanted and fairly represented in the reviews. So know what to expect: simple lodging in a beautiful natural setting with great food and hosts, and see if the following is right for you: it's quite far from the beach, an "adventurous" ride uphill on motos, the rooms are very basic--no doors separating the toilets from the rest of the room, no a/c--but this is all fairly reflected in the price. If you focus on enjoying the incredible hospitality, the nearby nature and the poza, you'll have a great time!
- Galina (10/5): Exceptional - The setting is breathtaking—views that will steal your words. You can explore beaches, hike through nature, swim in the pristine waterfall, or just chill (frog songs at night are unreal).
The accommodations are simple but more than enough when the vibe and the surroundings are this rich. The hosts? Next level. They’re not only friendly but also deeply interesting, making sure every detail of your stay feels personal. The food—prepared by the owner—is a highlight, every meal fresh and full of flavor.
It’s clear from the conversations with Alix and Brice that they’re not just caretakers of the house. They’re storytellers, adventurers, and deeply rooted in the land.
Their knowledge of the area adds so much to the experience.
Honestly , their warmth and insight make the stay feel less like a getaway and more like being welcomed into a family.
If you’re looking for a mix of adventure, serenity, and authentic connection, this place nails it.

- Josh (10/5): Relax and eat well with great surroundings - Extremely relaxing place to stay with the best hosts and amazing food. There are also plenty of fun activities nearby. Nothing
- Jake (10/5): A jungle paradise that you will never want to leave! - Casa Alibri is one of the most unique locations I have ever stayed at. Situated in the jungle (but not too far from the coast) it offers the perfect escape from the busy city of Santa Marta, while not being as far away as some other options such as palomino and surrounding towns. The large, river fed, natural pool just below the house is probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever swum. You are literally surrounded by the noises of the jungle the entire stay. Also worth a quick mention is the food! Brice (one of the co owners of the house) was a chef for 20 years. The food they have on offer there not only is super economical, but some of the best food I’ve had in very long time! Alix and Brice and extremely accommodating and friendly. They are always happy to have a chat or tell you lots about the history of the town, people and area. 100% will be back in the years to come!
Also there are a few cute & well trained animals at house to accompany you as well!
- Jennifer (9/5): A wonderful place to rest and replenish, surrounded by beautiful nature - A beautiful, peaceful location surrounded by spectacular nature and close to the Poza Encantada and 15 minutes by motorbike to Playa Mendihuaca, the house was spacious and comfortable, the food was delicious, Alix and Brice were so warm and welcoming and really looked after us. The dogs and cats were also a hit with my daughter. A wonderful place to stay while exploring the local area.
- Andrés (9/5): Faboulous river, jungle and beach experience. - Ali and Bri are amazing hosts. Bri´s cooking is World Class. The location makes you feel deep in the jungle but also close to the beach. They have a private access to a river with amazing natural pool.
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional - This place is really special and different from the other locations we stayed at during our travels in Colombia. It turned out being exactly what we expected when making the booking.
Alix and Brice have created such a cozy and down to earth home in the hills of the amazing Sierra Nevada. The finca fits perfectly into the environment, which made us feel so at ease and so close to nature. We spent a precious time up there, having interesting talks with the two guys and other guests, being surrounded by lovely dogs and cats, enjoying the views over the landscape.
The room was simple but clean and the bed was comfortable with a mosquito net (which is necessary, there are so many mosquitos in this area).
The location is up in the hill. You can walk around 45 minutes or take a moto taxi from the main road, which is very convenient. The hosts will arrange moto taxis for you whenever needed.
- Nina (10/5): Amazing - Perfect location off track if you are looking for being in nature. Lovely hosts
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional - Great room, pool and kitchen/bar
- Eva (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our stay at Casa AliBri. Alex and Brix are incredibly welcoming and couldn't have been more obliging or helpful. The food is delicious and the location is fantastic, very off the beaten track. Our kids really enjoyed the stay and it will certainly be one of the highlights of our trip to Colombia. I'd recommend anyone who wants to go somewhere off the beaten track to stay at Casa AliBri.
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional - Our 6-night stay at Casa Alibri felt something like a soul retrieval. Here you will find all the essential ingredients of a bespoke vacation under the expert guidance of Alix and Brice, your exceptional hosts/ humans. With the diversity of activities available in in the local area there is curb appeal for all traveller profiles. However the tranquil setting of the property also lends itself naturally to the art of doing nothing, with its intentional fusion of beautiful food, meaningful connection, healing vistas and the jungle soundscape of the Sierra Nevada. While here you might find yourself contemplating what you have done to deserve your good fortune and the answer is probably not enough, but fortunately sometimes the universe provides anyway. Hours after our departure the pervasive sentiment was that of wonder and of loss. Casa Alibri truly is a Columbiam microcosm that reminds us of our unity and shared humanity. It beckons your return and your gratitude. Thank you.
- Gernot (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing Place!
Super friendly Hosts!
You will See a lot of Birds and other animals.
They offer you Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for a cheap price.
- Hannah (10/5): An unforgettable stay and great value for money. - Our stay at Casa Alibri was fantastic. We were essentially invited into the home of Ali and Bri along with their cats and dogs.
Prior to our arrival Ali was very responsive to our queries regarding how to get to their place (it’s a bus from Santa Marta and a motorbike taxi from the main road next to Parque Tayrona) and our dietary requirements. During our stay Bri cooked us some amazing vegan food using local ingredients. He also made us a great packed lunch for our trip into Parque Tayrona. We also got time to hang out with each of them and hear about their life which was a great personal touch.
In terms of the place, our room was sparkling clean and nicely decorated. There are many communal spaces to enjoy the beautiful views surrounding the property. Water is provided for free and Ali and Bri offer food and some alcohol and soft drinks which was really handy.
To top it off Ali took us on a mini tour of their grounds and for a private swim in their pool before our departure - this was incredible!
This stay was one of the highlights of our trip and is unbelievable value for money. This is not the fault of the property but we would like to mention that the shower is cold (but you’re staying in the tropics so this is common) and there are bugs so bring bug spray!
- Jade (10/5): We didn’t want to leave - It’s hard to put into words how much we loved this place. Alix and Brice are absolutely amazing hosts, we ate like royalty, the animals will steal your heart, the views are spectacular and the rivers around the property were absolutely stunning. We originally chose this place because it was close to tayrona but ended up not even going because we couldn’t bring ourselves to leave !
- Ron (10/5): Above and beyond - Everything was above and beyond - the hospitality, the atmosphere, the food and the care and warmth of Alix and Bris. Thank you! I liked everything.
- Maurice (10/5): Exceptional - The best accommodation I've stayed in a long long time. Beautiful surroundings, close enough to Tayrona and Costeno beach, lots of birds and beautiful nature all around with no one else in sight. The hosts were incredible and welcoming, making the place very homely. The food (as vegetarians) was some of the best we've had here. Cold showers.
- Jack (10/5): One of the most welcoming and unique hostels in South America. - Alix and Brice are incredible hosts who go to every effort to ensure you can make the most of your stay, whatever your plans!
Briefly, the location is amazing - close to Tyrona National Park but still far enough off the beaten track so that you feel as if you’re in a private part of the forest. The noises of the wildlife in the evening are amazing, especially whilst. relaxing in the hammock and watching the sunset.
The food is always excellent and will leave you wondering whether you ever want to leave. Definitely try the fish as it’s sourced locally and tastes incredible.
I think it’s the perfect retreat to spend a few nights and change pace if you’ve been spending lots of time in busy hostels. Even when all rooms are occupied the hostel still feels spacious and private. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and there’s plenty to do in the surround area - just ask your hosts for any recommendations!
Thank you so much for an perfect stay!!!🫶
- Johanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kaya (10/5): Absolutely perfect - If you are wondering whether or not to stay here please stop and just BOOK IT NOW!! Alix and Brice were both amazing. We loved our stay here and it will definitely be one of the highlight of our entire 6 months travelling. We were recommended to stay here and we were so glad that we did. It is a little slice of heaven with incredible views, a gorgeous secluded nearby swimming spot in the river and wonderful hosts. Brice cooked us amazing and affordable vegan food for our whole stay with delicious fresh ingredients from their finca. There is a gorgeous hammock spot overlooking the mountains, also with a view of the sea. Although they were having a problem with their electricity (and we were told in advance of staying) we decided to stay anyway. They worked extra hard to make sure we were comfortable on our stay regardless, evening arranging a day trip down the river which we all did together. Would absolutely stay again in the future. Perfection.
- Maxwell (10/5): Perfect for relaxation in nature - Perfect place to relax in nature with amazing hosts. We wanted somewhere to recover after doing the Lost City Trek, and we chose the ideal place. The area has so much wildlife, and the natural pool nearby is great to cool off. There's lots of places to relax, read etc, and having so many animals around makes a really nice atmosphere. The food was great and both Alix and Brice were really kind hosts. It's very secluded, so there's nothing much nearby (like shops etc) but that's exactly what we wanted! The dogs are very friendly and sweet too. We would definitely recommend, hopefully we can return one day! Nothing!
- Andeas (10/5): Wonderful - Very beatiful finca with amazing hosts. Enjoy the hills of the sierra with the sounds of birds and frogs. Also the food was delicious. Nearby there is the wonderful pozo encantada.
- Edisa (10/5): Alix and Bris are the best hosts ever. They will take care of you in all aspects 💚 we have been to Casa AliBri twice and - The property is located in a silent place where you can relax and get some rest surrounded by nature and birds. it’s just great
- Salustri (10/5): Michelin Star place! - A place full of nature and peace with lovely and committed owners that takes care of the place and of you! I really appreciated the food they offer you much better than many restaurants! Worth it all!
- Jessica (10/5): Relaxing paradise in the jungle where you will feel like family - Casa AliBri is a little piece of paradise that Alix and her brother, Brice, have created in the jungle. Away from it all (about 30 minutes up a bumpy dirt road), but close enough to enjoy all that the area has to offer (Tayrona, inner tubing down the Don Diego river, and respectfully visiting a Kogui village with a guide - all of which Alix was instrumental in organizing), Casa AliBri is also an easy 15 min walk to the magical Poza Encantada waterfall and swimming hole (so you can have the place to yourselves before others arrive). Although "no-frills", Casa AliBri is a special place with comfortable beds where you will feel like family, hanging out with their animals, chatting with the other guests over the delicious meals-to-order by Brice, a professional chef, taking in the sweeping views of the jungle and sea, the incredible star-filled skies, with nothing but the sound of birdsong. Highly recommend. As others have mentioned, a door or curtain of some type to give the bathroom some privacy would be nice.
- David (10/5): Amazing place with great hosts, fantastic food and wonderful location. - The location and the atmosphere. We arrived, both feeling ill and exhausted from the lost city trek and couldn’t have wished for a better place to recover. Alix and Breece welcomed us with open arms, prepared food and drinks to make us feel beter and we recovered fully in their wonderful and remote paradise. Would recommend it to any one, definitely our highlight of Colombia. Everything was perfect.
- Max (10/5): Exceptional - absolutely stunning location in the jungle, you wake up to birds chirping and fall asleep to crickets. Alix and Brise are fantastic hosts, they’re super kind and helpful and they have great tips for activities in the area and Brise’s cooking is delicious.
- Balthasar (10/5): Exceptional - We recently stayed at Casa Alibri which is located an hour's walk from the beach, and we were blown away by its tranquil surroundings, the beautiful views of both the mountains and the sea. The hosts were incredibly lovely and made sure we had a comfortable stay. The food was amazing and really added to the overall experience. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway. The added bonus of a beautiful nearby river with waterfalls where you can swim is just the cherry on top!
- Andrea (10/5): nice Place, nice people, silent - in the middle of Dschungel
- Isabella (10/5): We had an amazing 4 days stay at Casa AliBri, which was highly recommended to us by friends. Alix & Brice immediatel - The location is amazing, nestled right in the jungle and the property itself has clearly had so much love and care put into it. Nothing to dislike.
- Filip (10/5): Very special place - If you are looking for a peaceful place, Casa Alibri is the right choice. The house is surrounded by nature and its a great place to relax. Alix and Brice are people with big heart and they made us feel at home. We would love to come back one day. Thank you!
- Meilir (10/5): Home away from home! - I can't tell you how comfortable we felt here. A proper home from home as soon as we arrived.
Alix and Brice are so welcoming and we instantly felt like we'd known them for years.
The accommodation and views are outstanding and a perfect base for visiting Tayrona. We spent a couple of days just relaxing at the accommodation though as it's so peaceful there.
The food is absolutely delicious as well!
Will return one day. Thank you!
- Annie (10/5): Perfect - We spent 5 nights at Casa Alibri recommended to us by fellow travellers and it might just be our favourite place we’ve stayed in our 6 weeks in Colombia. Alix & Brice both have an incredible ability to make you feel at home from the first moment you arrive, something that cannot be taken for granted when travelling. Sharing breakfast and dinner times with them and other travellers gives the place a relaxed, sociable feel that contrasts with the contrived feel of some other hostels. The food is some of the best we’ve had so far on our travels, Brice is very talented and makes food from locally sourced or homegrown produce where possible. They have a gorgeous waterfall and swimming spot on their land that we had entirely to ourselves when we went. And we have to mention the 2 cute dogs + many cats that they own. Come here for a few nights of R&R and leave feeling completely restored. Nothing

- Lovetronic (10/5): Peaceful and isolated place immersed in Tayrona forest - Welcoming and friendly owners, smashing landscapes and location, delicious food (just let you surprise by the chef selection) Rough road, not easy to arrive after 4pm in winter season
- Veerle (10/5): Highly recommended, unique experience! - Casa AliBri is beautifully located with some of the most stunning jungle/mountain/sea views I saw throughout my trip in Colombia. It offers a real jungle experience: little waterfalls nearby, butterflies/birds coming to greet you, lush plants and (fruit)trees everywhere. The owners are lovely and very knowledgeable of the region. The food is a real treat, prepared with local ingredients, a lot of them home grown. This place is about an authentic experience shown by great hosts. Besides that, rooms are comfortable, electricity steady thanks to solar panels, internet too. -
- Dino (10/5): Exceptional - If you are looking for something personal as well as good vibes only, this is the place.
Surrounded by nature you will find a wonderful house with two so welcoming and warm-hearted owners who not only take best care of you, but also share their interesting daily lifes in the sierra nevada with you (if you want).
Besides a super relaxed and silent (except for the sounds of nature) atmosphere around the house there is a beautiful natural swimming spot just around the corner as well as tons of other stuff to do and everything within 10‘ by mototaxi. And food-wise guests are in for a big treat :)
Alix and Brice really created something with character and we are coming back a 1000%, if we are ever in colombia again.
Thank you guys for this amazing stay, we love you!
- Lisa (10/5): lovely place for relaxing days in nature - great location, amazing food, you immediately felt very welcome thanks to the lovely hosts. the house is in the middle of nature surrounded by many plants. highly recommend to stay here! all good!
- Mona (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice hosts and amazing food! We hat a great time :)
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional - Gourmet food. Great location. Great price. Amazing hosts. Accommodating to our child. Have not stayed at a better hotel in our whole lives. If you want to experience the jungle this is the place to do it
