Guest Reviews
- Gregg (10/5): A relaxing and comfortable house with stunning views. - The stunning views of the inlet from every angle of the house. Trying to work out where the washing machine is located if one stayed 5 days or more!
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katrine (10/5): Blissful location - It’s a gorgeous place with a beautiful view through the trees to the water. We enjoyed walking down to the little pier at sunset. The kitchen seems to be well equipped. The beds were comfortable. We couldn’t get the wifi working (there were instructions but one of the plugs didn’t seem to be the right one for that socket). It didn’t matter anyway as we really didn’t need it- there was good phone reception 🙂

- Br (9/5): Sense of calm and peace will linger as long as the memories of the views and the wildlife - Sense of calm and peace & the views and wildlife
- Sandra (10/5): Little piece of heaven - The beauty of the forrest meeting the ocean sets up the most healing and serene environment possible. Great birds nest for human birds. Soulful house and very thoughtful owners providing everything you could possibly need to make a memorable stay. Thank you Lauris for sharing your little piece of heaven. San and Nicola That we couldn't stay forever :(
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- David (8/5): All up very enjoyable and peaceful. - The view and forest surrounds are beautiful. The balcony facing Wilson Inlet is fantastic and we spent a lot of time there. The house is very comfortable and clean. This is what could have been better. It's all minor, but anyway:
1. One of the back doors is unlockable (the lock spigots and sockets don't align).
2. Some of the windows don't close completely due to warped frames.
3. Ants kept finding their way into the kitchen. We couldn't work out from where, but probably under the house.
4. There are no rails for drying out towels in one of the bathrooms, only hooks and rings. We had to hang towels out on a clothes horse.
5. It was difficult to control the water temperature in one of the showers. Tiny movements of the flip mixer made big changes.
- Heidi (10/5): Breathtaking ocean views amongst nature, felt like a home away from home! - Breathtaking ocean views and nature all around. I wouldn’t call the home ultra modern but it felt very homely and comfortable…very relaxing. Like a home away from home! Nothing
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andy2205 (10/5): Wonderful and peaceful stay - Wonderful and peaceful stay. somewhere you can truly relax and enjoy the environment. Close to the town a short drive away. Close to natural sites. Nothing everything was exactly what I wanted
- Melanie (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing, apart from the cockatoos dropping the gum nuts on the roof! But we did enjoy - What breakfast? We liked everything, and having cool nights was a bonus to light the fire. Nothing
- Claire (8/5): Very good -
- Olga (10/5): Hideaway Retreat - Beautiful views of Wilson Inlet.
Very peaceful, like a retreat.
Had a number of birds coming to have a feed.
The accommodation was very clean, spacious and had a great feel about it. Nothing
- Jen (10/5): we came down to Denmark with another couple for the weekend and our accommodation was wonderful. We will definitely be c - it was very well set up, clean and comfy that we couldn’t stay longer
- S (7/5): Good -
- Bernard (9/5): Superb -
- Nikki (9/5): Excellent stay …loved the place …will be back ! - Excellent seating …great beds …fabulous view …kitchen had everything you would need ! Nestled in the gum trees with the birds coming for a visit … The door keys …hard to work the doors to the verandah with a bottom and top lock …not easy for an 80 year old as handle knobs also need replacing . Only one front door entry and this needed to be locked with a key at night but needed the key to get out. Needs easier option for safety to get out in emergency .
- Katherine (10/5): Very comfortable with beautiful views and surrounds - Amazing location and views. Lovely fireplace and unique style of home.
- Ellen (10/5): Fantastic property in a stunning location - The property was very comfortable making you feel relaxed instantly. Everything you could need was provided and the views were exceptional. Nothing

- Heather (6/5): Overpriced for an old house in a tranquil location which obviously sees some work done. - The location was very tranquil & pretty. The bed was very comfortable. The fire was great. The caretaker was a very nice man who replied quickly & was quick to respond to requests for extra supplies or any questions. It’s a lovely home although quite tired. It’s a lovely old house which has a lot of issues requiring some care & attention. For $308 per night we felt it was overpriced. The front door is very difficult to unlock - & another door to the deck doesn’t unlock. Many windows don’t close properly so it can be draughty. The water pump is noisy for 15+ mins when the toilet is flushed so in the middle of the night it’s especially loud. The range hood & its overhead light doesn’t work so it gets smelly in the kitchen & it’s quite poorly lit. The house is clean however it clearly states there’s no pets allowed but then we were told that the owner takes her long haired dog there which explains why I had a severe bout of hayfever the entire time which made me unwell. We stayed for 7 nights & the promised bottle of wine as per the description was nowhere to be found. AAA rating hasn’t existed in Australia since 2013 so we don’t understand the relevance of it on the sign as you drive in and the house wouldn’t be given that high a rating given its state now anyway. If the owner wants to attract high paying clients they need to spend some money on this house & be more honest in the description ( and leave the give the high paying client the promised bottle of wine!)

- Anelise (8/5): Very good - This is a lovely home in a beautiful setting. It is fully equipped with everything you need and is close to Denmark, wineries, beaches and walking trails. The views from the deck are wonderful and Ric (who gave us the keys)was friendly and helpful. One of the two bedrooms, is situated behind a wall but there are no doors so it lacks a little privacy and is impossible to block noise and light from the kitchen/living room.
- Linda (9/5): A lovely house . large comfortable rooms with beautiful views. it was 7 kms from town but we enjoyed cooking at home for - The house was incredibly comfortable with great views over the inlet. we liked everything
- Robert (9/5): we needed more time and we look forward to returning for a longer stay 😀 - The house was well presented, clean and had a beautiful view The dirt on the floor in the bathroom off the closed bedroom was from the towel rail that was loose and needs repairing
