- Arianne (8/5): Beautiful estate, however lacked strong aircon for the house and cellar door. - The estate was beautiful. The home was beautifully designed with a lovely kitchen. We also liked the wine tasting cellar being next door, but the main tasting room lacked aircon. The aircon for half of the house wasn’t working or was not strong enough, so half the home was really hot compared to the other half. It was a particularly hot weekend so we really needed stronger aircon to feel comfortable throughout the daytime.
Needed a thorough deep clean (spiders and dead wasps were around the home) and some corners of the home were really dusty. The curtains needed updating, the some of them looked dated and had stains on them.
Also the pool had to be cleaned during our stay which took away one of the mornings for the kids to swim in the pool. (Even though cleaning took only a couple of hours - with kids, that feels like a lifetime for them) Would have preferred the pool being cleaned prior to our arrival.
- PETA (9/5): Vinden Estate is a generously proportioned homestead, perfect for groups. - The bedrooms were all generously sized and split into two wings which allowed for privacy as we were travelling as two family groups. The kitchen was especially well equipped. The views of the vineyard were spectacular. Nothing, we had a wonderful time and Angus the host was quick to answer any queries we had.
- Neomi (8/5): Our stay at the vinden estate homestead - Big house comfortable for the whole family. Location was excellent. I could take our furry friend. Enough bathrooms for everyone House needs renovations. Bed in main bedroom was not comfortable. Wanted to take a bath but the water was not clear. slightly brown
- Lizzy (10/5): - Such a beautiful home and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to host a group of 11. The boys at the cellar door were so friendly.

- Sian (9/5): Breathtaking house for a large group! - Beautiful spacious property that was perfect for our group of 10! The staff were awesome and responsive all weekend, and the location was perfect for attending a Pokolbin wedding. The place could have been a little cleaner - we went to make coffee to find the kettle home to a family of ants.
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Beautiful homestead and beds were all super comfortable
- Amy (8/5): Amazing I loved it - Pool could of been cleaner
Possibly could have another shower
- Christopher (10/5): What an exceptional house. - What an exceptional house. Huge for a group of 8 travelling for a weekend in the vineyards, large comfortable bedrooms (and 3 king beds) and lots of living space so we could spread out, or stay close as we pleased. Lovely pool. We started with a wine tasting at the Cellar Door on the first afternoon, a great way to kickstart the weekend. Angus was great with communication prior to arrival with suggestions. N/a
- John (9/5): I had a fantastic stay and truly enjoyed the experience. - The rooms are spacious and beautifully maintained. Having curtains or blinds in the main shower room would be good.
Swimming pool seems to be not cleanly maintained.
- Peter (8/5): Fabulous accommodation with sense of charm and history. - Location close to family wedding.
Spacious accommodation.
Friendly staff. Some locks in glass doors were difficult to lock and unlock.
- Van (10/5): Great place to stay, very affordable, plenty of room , clean and well equiped. - The location was fantastic, close to everything but far enough away to be quiet and secluded. Nothing
- Suraj (10/5): Exceptional - Very quiet and nice place for the group holiday.
- Athanasios (8/5): Very good -
- Kim (10/5): Highly recommended , will definitely be back. - Absolutely beautiful surroundings, very private , gorgeous property.
Delicious wine tasting , lovely friendly staff. Maybe put cover over chairs in lower garden under foliage , would have been lovely to sit there , birds beat us to it Lol.

- Gregory (7/5): Family wedding - Dead bug in spa. Stove greasy.
- Kelly (10/5): An awesome girls weekend away. Plenty of room with beautiful spots to relax around the grounds with wine and a cheese bo - Fabulous house and great location
- Jennifer (4/5): Disappointed by what should have been amazing - The location was perfect. The homestead has the wow factor when you first arrive and the views are wonderful.
The size was perfect for our group of 5 friends to each have their own room.
We hired a personal chef for an evening, finding the kitchen perfect for preparing our meal.
It is a charming residence with some lovely features, however is in need of quite a bit of maintenance and TLC.
The beds were big and comfy with lovely clean linen. The house was dusty and dirty in most areas. There was rubbish down the sides of cabinets and tissues left behind the piano as mentioned in a recent review. Some areas, including the main lounge area smelt musty and the smell of ash from the fireplace was quite strong even though it had not been lit.
There was dog hair obvious in places including the lounge and the lounge was dirty with visible marks/stains on the back facing the dining area.
For award winning accommodation, paying top dollar, it was disappointing not to have been provided with at least basic hotel type toiletries, face washers, and separate pool towels. I might even be great marketing to have included a welcome note with a bottle of the estates wine or vouchers for tasting at the adjoining cellar door.
Make sure to read the fine print - additional charges apply to firewood past the first use, pool towels and for not sorting and removing your rubbish to the main waste bins.
Previous reviews mention the master bath windows with no privacy (response was that they were one way viewing) - the windows are not one way, full viewing of persons in the bath/shower or on the loo are enabled and even more on show at night with the lights on! Please look to installing the option of blinds or curtains.
Also mentioned was the insects/mosquitos due to no screens on windows. It was stated while the french doors don't have screens, the windows do. This is not the case. Of the dozens of windows, there is one screen on one that wouldn't be opened. We were fortunate to find some left over spray under the sink so we could sleep without being eaten alive.
There are other concerns for which we have left listed on departure from the property. We hope our feedback is considered for the comfort of future guests.
- Sol (10/5): Amazing and worthy. - Number of rooms and size perfect to accommodate large family group. Kitchen very well equipped. Pool area and vineyard views. Coffee machine needs special pods. We couldn’t use pods bought as we weren’t aware that specials pods were required.
Behind the piano were some tissues and dust which shows that cleaning could be better.
- Anonymous (5/5): Not what we expected as per the photos on your website - The location was great and beds were comfy.
It fitted my family. The Air-conditioner does not seem to be able to cope as was very poor, maybe they should be serviced, maybe ceiling fans would help.
Maintenance and cleaning needs to be more accurate to detail (Ceiling architraves are falling down, curtains dirty and stained.
So many wasp around the house as nest need to be removed and didn't feel comfortable spending time outdoors as also outdoor areas went swept or clean.
The photos on your site aswell shows different lounges as of must of been earlier photos.
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (8/5): Loved the property, enjoyable and relaxing weekend great away. - The property was very comfortable and cozy, clean and perfect location. Needs a bit of maintenance. Would have liked to have locks in the bathrooms as we were a big group.
- Tiffany (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rajdeep (10/5): Felt at home - Everything, the location, the character of this beautiful house, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, cosy family areas to hang out and the whole vineyard for everyone to enjoy.
It was so good to just step out of the property for wine tasting next door without worrying about driving.
And we were super impressed with Kelly, our beautiful host for wine tasting. A knowledgeable beautiful person with ability to engage in a meaningful conversation. It would be nice to have blinds in the main bathroom. Not comfortable and bit awkward for users.
- Dianne (8/5): A breathtaking home for a large group - The house is perfect for a large group. Waking up to the view of the vineyards was spectacular! Loved the location, facilities, space, the view of hot air balloons flying over was magic! Limited to hot water
- Ellen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vanishree (10/5): Exceptional - The property was absolutely beautiful. Would highly recommend this home for a holiday. It has all that is needed to make your stay as pleasant. There were few blips, but it was all sorted out by the friendly staff. My family really enjoyed this home. There is really nothing to pinpoint. Issues were resolved as soon as possible. Thank you.
- Maria (8/5): Very good -
- Dee (10/5): Amazing house and very accomodating and helpful hosts - Amazing house and very helpful hosts
- Wildnez (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful property - even better than the photos. Fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful grounds and despite being attached to cellar door it was very private. The owner sent all the information for self check in and out promptly and was otherwise hands-off which is always appreciated.
- Kathy (8/5): Pretty location, large house - House size was great and the gardens beautiful and spacious, the separate living areas were comfy and large. The fireplaces were well stacked with wood. The kitchen is large and fully equipped to handle group meals. The pool was very pretty and well maintained and the new BBQ was great. Lots of outdoor seating areas to enjoy the lovely views. The contact with the property great, all contact responses were prompt and friendly. The house was pretty but very tired inside, needs some TLC as it looks old and needing more regular maintenance - for the price I expected better, sorry.
- Kate (10/5): Amazing, loved it all, perfect accommodation for our sons wedding. - Lots if room, beautiful fireplaces, quiet surroundings nothing
- Elfia (10/5): Exceptional - The location was outstanding and the house exceptional. It had real country charm whilst also offering luxury and sophistication.
- Sophie (8/5): Amazing! Had the time of my life getting married! - Place was perfect for what we needed it for. Had a lot of people so the space was great! Accommodated everyone and provided the perfect backdrop for my wedding photos!

- Apral (9/5): quiet. relaxing. - great customer service. beautiful old house. picturesque. waiting on repairs and some smoke damage to house wasn’t mentioned in any advertisement.
- Markh8 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edwards (9/5): Serene and comfy. A magical place, wallabies, ducks, turtles, wine.. - The location, wallaby visits, ducks turtles, wines, pool. Pet friendly. A brilliant place for a stay with family and friends, highly recommend. The locks on doors didnt work properly so security when out was a little concerning, however we always felt safe and secure whilst there. Due to french doors everywhere a few bugs inside at night. It was pet friendly but there was no fenced yard.
- Craig (9/5): Superb -
- Deirdre (8/5): Very good -
- Nicole (10/5): Absolutely perfect, this is where you want to stay!! - Absolutely beautiful, I knew it would be good but it exceeded my expectations and blew my mind how beautiful it actually is!!
It’s was more the comfortable for 12 ladies, the kitchen was so well equipped for us to cook up a storm, the beds and pillows were so comfortable in every room, the couches and furnishings were cosy and stunning and the fire place was the cherry on top!!
Location is perfect for wine tasting and the hunter valley gardens.
I could go on and on!!!
