• Justin (9/5): A great place for a mountain getaway. - A very comfortable place to spend a few days. It was quiet and peaceful perched on the hillside. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. I would stay again. We were able to take public buses from Nicosia without a problem. The one day pass (4 rides w/transfers) ticket, if used properly will cover transportation there and back. Several bus choices from the central station to Makariou Stadium, then bus 405 to Astas stop, then bus 81 to Markou Drakou stop a few steps from Maison Elena. Host was very helpful in providing our bus options for our trip home which worked out great. While our room was great, if we stayed again, we would rent one of the other units with a better view/patio. Our patio area was a bit of a walkway for other guests and less comfortable than the others.

• Irma (10/5): Relaxing and Picturesque - Great location in a beautiful village. Owner was very attentive and answered very quickly our messages. House was clean and neat. Parking is difficult as its on the main road of the village.
• Peter (10/5): Xmas Village Festivities - On arrival we contacted the host, as requested, who was very friendly and helpful regarding access. The location was great for village access, tavernas & coffee shops. The property was very clean and cosy, traditional stone walls & wooden beams. Very 'quirky/ rustic' with the bedroom being downstairs.... Beds were very comfortable and plenty of hot water. The view from the balcony was fantastic- you could see all the village along with the lights for Xmas village event .... Nothing...
• ANDREAS (10/5): Περάσαμε υπέροχα! Σίγουρα θα το προτιμήσουμε ξανά και ξανά!!! - Η τοποθεσία ήταν εξαιρετική, αφού ήταν στον κεντρικό δρόμο του χωριού. Βρήκαμε εύκολα χώρο στάθμευσης. Από το κατάλυμα , περνά μονοπάτι με σκαλοπάτια για να πας στο κάτω μέρος του χωριού που οδηγεί στο μοναστήρι του Αγίου Ιωάννη του Λαμπαδιστή. Το κατάλυμα ήταν πεντακάθαρο, με όλες τις ανέσεις (πιστολάκι μαλλιών, έξτρα κουβέρτες, είδη κουζίνας...). Η θέα από το μπαλκόνι ήταν υπέροχη , βλέπεις όλο το κάτω χωριό και το μοναστήρι. Είχαμε την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσουμε και τους ιδιοκτήτες του καταλύματος, οι οποίοι είναι ευγενέστατοι και πρόθυμοι να μας βοηθήσουν. Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα! Όλα ήταν εξαιρετικά.
• Egli (9/5): πολύ ωραία - πολύ άνετο κρεβάτι και μαξιλάρια, υπήρχε εξοπλισμός για να φτιάξεις το πρόγευμα σου αν ήθελες. το μπάνιο είναι μικρό, ειδικά ο νιπτήρας δεν μπορούσες να τον χρησιμοποιήσεις γιατί ήταν πολύ μικρός και όταν έσκυβες χτυπούσες πάνω στο καθρέφτη. Δεν υπήρχε εγκατεστημένη ντουζιέρα ή έστω κτισμένη και ούτε κάπινετ γύρω με αποτέλεσμα να πλημμυρίζει ο χώρος με νερά.

• EVANGELIA (7/5): Would visit again! - Very comfortable for a family, great location, nice aesthetic of the place. The owners were very helpful and polite, and a very nice touch to have complimentary wine and traditional christmas sweets! Not so clean which is a shame for such a nice place

Η τοποθεσία ήταν πραγματικά ιδανική, καθώς βρισκόταν πολύ κοντά σε όλα. Πρόκειται για μία από τις καλύτερες κρατήσεις που έχω κάνει· σίγουρα αξίζει τα χρήματά του.

• Georgi (10/5): Wonderful stay at Mason Elena in Kalopanayiotis - I had a fantastic experience at Mason Elena. The host was incredibly helpful and accommodating, even though I arrived very late at night. The house itself is charming and offers a breathtaking view from the terrace — perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Kalopanayiotis is full of beautiful historical sites, making it a great destination for a peaceful weekend getaway away from the coast. Highly recommended!

• Anat (8/5): Authentic, cosy, quiet mountain stay - A very cosy, clean, romantic apartment, authentically built into the mountain side. We stayed in April, and the place was decorate with cute Easter \ spring time ornaments, a bottle of wine and chocolate eggs - thank you, hosts! For two people, there was enough space for everything. seating area both inside and out, enabled us to enjoy quality family time with the other units. Great view of the valley. Easy check in and check out Responsive team Grocery store and coffee place across the road and close to the mountain lift The little kitchen is practical Good value for money Some issues with the hot water system, which is understandably challenging to maintain in that area. I recommend updating the instructions manual on the wall. For older \ Australian \ American travellers: the bed size is a double (not queen). Parking is unclear in the area, some instructions would be useful. Be aware that access to any space in this area includes stairs, some places many of them, some uneven surfaces. Its all part of the authentic feel to the place, however, important for travellers to be aware of.
• Avigail (9/5): Good value for money - The place has character and it’s beautiful. Showers are small, beds are not so comfortable- especially if you are more than two… Not all studios are the same. And important to know there is no laundromat or laundry service within 50 kilometres.

• David (10/5): Amazing Birthday Trip to Kalopanayiotis! - It was wonderful! On Saturday was my wife's birthday, and we wanted to spend it in a cozy little village with a beautiful view - which we did! Check in was nice and easy - even though we arrived late, I called Maro, and she explained everything. The place was very cozy, very nice and clean, and the split unit worked amazing - we were cold when we arrived, but within 10 minutes it was hot like in the summer😃. The views from the place were amazing, and we made ourselves breakfast and sat outside looking at the mountain! There was even coffee, sugar and tea at the place. The village is beautiful, and Maro gave us some instructions of the village and what there is to do, and when we came back from our walk in the village, we found that Maro gave us a cake and flowers as a birthday present for my wife! Thank you very much for the stay and for you kindness, Maro, we will be visiting again for sure!

The path that passes by the entrance leads to the Ioann Lampadist monastery and the trecking trails that goes along the stream. Shower door is not closing properly and needs to be fixed.
• Evi (9/5): traditional stay at Kalopanayiotis - The location was perfect for my purpose. It was also close to a mini market and coffee shops. The appartment was very very clean, and included all the facilities a family would need. I wish there was some sort of breakfast, something "to go" facility delivered on our door!

We definitely recommend Maison Elena and we would stay again unquestionably. We recommend that more attention is paid to tidying up and cleaning. (detail) It was noisy as we had a family with children staying above us which was not so good as they ran back and forth constantly. The TV control was missing and we found it on the last day under the bed which was inconvenient. However, none of the above disturbed our stay and would definitely stay again.

• Vassilis (7/5): Good - Location, beautiful views, tastefully decorated amenity. Welcoming chokolate and a bottle of red wine, is a beautiful gesture. This was the third and last time, as it seems, that we stay at this place. This time it was a dissapointment. The house was not properly clean. The furniture, floor and shower were stained dirty. Kitchenette light was nt working. The bedroom window would not open, it seemed blocked, or the lock broken. The Shower phone of the sole shower room of the property was broken. When kindly asked the owner to provide replacement, an also broken replacement was installed, without being tested by the person who installed it. Immediately after this incident, the owner sent embarassing messages on my mobile asking for my credit card details! She was trying to re charge the already confirmed and fully payed stay through booking!!. Instead of apologizing for her insulting contact, she sent a message the last day saying we had to leave the house by 12 as she was expecting guests at 2. We had already left earlier this morning swearing not to ever come back to a place or people that made us feel so uncomfortable. Although the two previous times we stayed, the property had minor issues again, (ac did not work, wi fi did not work) and our stay was acceptable, this time it was a big dissapointment. I hope the owners improve the overall quality of service soon.
