Guest Reviews
- CAROLINA (10/5): -
- Georgina (10/5): Great one night stopover - We loved staying in this beautiful old property on the edge of town. It was quiet and clean and our large bedroom was very comfortable. Gardens are beautiful with lots of birds to watch and their horses are in the fields beside house. We were able to buy some wine and empanadas for dinner.
Staff and owners really lovely. Looked like they had a lovely swimming pool on booking website but the water was green and so we didn’t get in.
Having to pay in cash.
- SONIA (10/5): A beautiful charming finca on the edge of Salta. - What a beautiful, charming place to stay just on the edge of Salta not far from the airport. A traditional building with comfortable accommodation. The family were very welcoming and offered a meal after their family party.
- isabelle (9/5): - Le lieu, qui est un ancien couvent, est superbe. L’appartement que nous avons occupé était très beau et agréable.
- Polie (10/5): -
- maria jose (10/5): - Excelente
- Ann (9/5): Superb -
- Charlotte (10/5): An absolute gem!! - Everything!! Nothing!!
- Stephan (8/5): Very good - Very nice setting, nice rooms with great bed, great breakfast, friendly service Pool not clean, not usable, too expensive for current offerings
- Harold (10/5): Beautiful Hacienda Stay - Fantastic hacienda, immaculate gardens and property, lovely staff, Gloria and Niko were super! Check in was a little odd, as we arrived late, 10pm, as we stated on our booking but couldn't really find anyone to greet us initially. All went well in the end though.
- Loelia (8/5): Very good - The view and the little farm nearby Cleanliness of the pool
- Uruidana (9/5): Authentic place - - authentic place, it’s like family rancho
- spacious room, we had two rooms for three people
- private parking
- everything was clean
- very quiet - our door could not be closed so we felt a little unsafe in a new place
- also it was felt like we slept in the museum
- breakfast could be with more protein
- location is perfect if you are on the car, because it’s outside of the city
- Guillaume (10/5): An amazing place to stay! - this property is amazing!
Not only the buildings that have history and a lot of charm but also the whole garden and facilities.
Ricardo the owner welcomed us himself and cooked for us an amazing Argentinian Asado, chatting with us all along the night. Gloria and Sylvia were also amazingly nice and helpful.
what a stay! nothing
- Cindy (8/5): Good place to stay between Cafayate and Salta airport - ~beautiful peaceful well-maintained grounds with flowers and various sitting areas
~the reason we picked it: easy location with a rental car when coming from Cafayate before flying out of Salta. We found it easily with Google maps. It was a very smooth <20 minute drive to the airport in the morning with several gas station options en route. It was nice to have such a peaceful place to stay and not have to drive or park in the city.
~cool historic building that’s been renovated comfortably. Our room was large with a large modern bathroom. Plenty of space for reorganizing our luggage. I was doubtful the air conditioner could cool our high-ceiling room on a very hot day, but it eventually did very well.
~as other reviews mentioned having dinner there, we asked after booking if this was possible. They agreed and we were served yummy little beef empanadas. Not sure what restaurant options would be in the nearby little town. Breakfast on the large patio was also lovely including fresh croissants and scrambled eggs.
~Gloria appears to be a very hard-worker and put in great effort to answer all questions and requests. ~there appeared to be a missing communication link. We initiated communication after booking to confirm parking and ask about dinner, but no other information from La Secundina was initiated or given, unlike most other accommodations we stayed in. When we arrived, kind Gloria showed us to our room, but again no other information was offered without asking (like Wifi, meals, etc). This is possibly more natural with native Spanish-speakers. I do think some degree of Spanish would be necessary to stay here.
~wifi was variable. Not available in our room. It was initially not in the main area, but it eventually worked after Gloria worked on the box.
~it’s a farm so expect some small bugs in the summer. Not a deterrent though.
- Andrew (10/5): Brilliant place, great food, people, facilities and space. Highly recommend! - Brilliant place! The lady who ran the accomodation was so lovely, cooked us an outstanding meal late. Nothing, was all excellent.
- Galeb (10/5): Exceptional - The best accommodation we have ever stayed in, a beautiful property, a whole ranch for the 20 of us. With people there for anything we need, from making the best dinner in the world, breakfast, to doing laundry.
- Ana (5/5): Passable -
- Rachel (9/5): A peaceful haven south of salta - This was only meant to be somewhere to stop for a night before continuing our road trip, but we were pleasantly surprised. Beautiful gardens, lovely large rooms, great staff. We had dinner which was well made and plentiful. It was so relaxing, we had a few hours by the pool. Lots of tranquil places in the gardens. Highly recommended Nothing. All was way above expectations
- Javier (5/5): Passable -
- Irene (8/5): Very good -
- Lidia (10/5): Exceptional - The property is an old convent, with massive rooms and lovely gardens. The hosts made us an amazing dinner with probably the best empanadas we had in all of Argentina.
- Jonathan (9/5): Nice quiet stay in a old finca (hacienda). - Nice rustic rural finca. Away from the noise and pollution in the city. Hard to find. Not a problem with the Finca. Google maps sends you to and abandoned subdivision development.
- Maria (10/5): we all loved this place so much we extended our stay by 2 days - authentic farm house with friendly and very helpful staff
