Guest Reviews
- Rolf (9/5): Wonderful hosts, yummy breakfast. -
- Michelle (10/5): Very relaxing and comfortable stay with fantastic host! - Wonderful host, amazing breakfast, beautiful and comfortable room/bed, great tips on places to visit, super relaxing. Everything was wonderful! No complaints whatsoever.
- Denise (8/5): - Very friendly host. Wonderful breakfast. Nice location out of town Room a little dusty and musty. Host trying to combat mustiness with an air purifier
- James (10/5): Perfect. - I loved that it was in the country. It was quiet and dark at night. There were beautiful gardens and a very large field to walk our dog. It was wonderful. The refrigerator was loud, off and on and, if it is replaced, I think a smaller refrigerator would look so cute in that one bedroom cottage.
- Sherrill (8/5): We had a beautiful relaxing stay with optimal breakfasts included. - Beautiful spot and we would go back if returning to PEI. The shower tap was loose and we couldn’t control the hot water very well so we informed the owner. There was also the occasional ant cruising through which the owner was aware and taking care of it. The unit is in a walk out basement in the country.
- Sarah (10/5): - We had a lovely experience at the Linden Homestead. Our host, Drew, couldn't have been more hospitable, the location was fantastic, the room was just what we needed, and the value was great. We couldn't have asked for better lodgings and would highly recommend it.
- Armand (9/5): Séjour très agréable. L'hôte est très accueillant - Petit déjeuner copieux et varié chaque jour Une table pour poser un ordinateur
- Caroline (10/5): - The Queen Suite was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent with a nice variety over the several days we were there. We were able to travel to the different areas on the island in good time from our location. Drew was helpful with local restaurant suggestions for our evening meals.
- Thierry (7/5): - Problèmes d’accessibilité (inadapté aux PMR bien qu’étant indiqué en rez de chaussée).
- Janet (7/5): Perfect for our purposes. - Proximity to my brother’s home and his daughter’s wedding venue was excellent. Queen suite comfortable and clean with silent A/C and large bathroom with clawfoot tub. The host was knowledgeable, responsive and pleasant. Breakfasts were much larger than we needed,
- Sharon (8/5): Comfortable and quiet location. - Comfortable bed and excellent breakfasts. The host was very knowledgeable and provided suggestions for us. A small table or something to sit at would be nice in case you want to play cards, etc.
- Jorge (8/5): -
- Ando (10/5): -
- Shaoxia (8/5): - 位置很好,距离安妮小屋和海滩都方便,周围不远处有餐厅咖啡馆。房间宽敞且安静,窗外景色不错。
- Larry (9/5): We should have stayed longer than two days! Great experience. - Super quiet and very private, off the beaten path but still very close to Cavendish, without being anywhere near the bustle of the strip.
Very relaxing.
Awakening in the morning to red eyed vireos singing in the bushes/trees. Good value… Could use a bit of a facelift as it showing its age (the windows). But that is reflected in the price as well, which was a good value.
- Lisa (10/5): Wonderful place! We will be back. - Beautiful property. It was very quiet, no traffic noise. The room was perfect. The bed was comfortable. Everything was spotless. Delicious breakfast both mornings. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful.
- Kelsey (8/5): We had a lovely trip! - It was beautiful and very quiet. There was to much for the young man to do during the day
- Sondra (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jillian (10/5): Beautiful cottage, will be returning! - Linden Homestead is on a beautiful property in Stanley Bridge. The 2 cottages are attached behind a treed in area. I didn’t hear our neighbours that were in the 2 bedroom cottage at all and enjoyed that although the outside of the property looked rustic they had updated a lot of the inside.
In the 1 bedroom cottage there was a full kitchen, a nice sitting area, a large king bed, a nicely renovated bathroom, and a glorious tub that offered nice relaxing soaks after long days of exploring and going to cbmf. I didn’t have any issues. I really enjoyed my stay. I just need to remember to bring Epson salts when I book next time as that bath was amazing for relaxing after long days of exploring the beautiful island and going to shows
- David (10/5): This is a great place to stay, relax and unwind; Dru is a great host. - We loved Becky the dog. This property is off the beaten track. It is quiet, clean and comfortable. Dru was a great host. The breakfast was hand made and shared around a communal table with other guests. We loved chatting with Dru and the others over breakfast. We would recommend this even to our pickiest friends. There were no hot water facilities in the room but I’m sure if we had asked Dru would have provided.
- Gursahib (6/5): Pleasant -
- Pat (6/5): Pleasant - Cottage was large enough No water view as advertised
- Sandra (8/5): Very good - The owner, Drew, made the place really. Accommodations were good but the owner's nice personality and willingness to make sure you were attended to was so nice. Not much. It was a pleasant stay.
- Lodilyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Oleksii (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dan (8/5): Very good - Great breakfast. Neil was flexible when I wanted to leave earlier in the morning. King suite is a cozy room with a spacious ensuite bathroom. Was there at the end of the season and many of the nearby attractions were closed.
- Angela (10/5): We were looking for an authentic "BnB" experience on beautiful Prince Edward Island and found it! - Staying at Linden Homestead was the best possible choice we could have made for our "base" to experience (our first visit) Prince Edward Island. The host was wonderful and a very informed about PEI's history. The two homemade breakfasts were super delicious. The quiet rural location and comfy bed made for great and restful sleeping.
- Jordan (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy place just a short distance drive from Cavendish. The owner was attentive and very nice to talk too. Adorable dog as well! It was what my partner and I were looking for! Thank you.
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lamont (10/5): Exceptional - I loved the room, it was spacious enough to put our dog bed in the room and we were not tripping over it. The bathroom was spectacular, spacious with a claw tub👌
Also, loved the space on the property for my dog to run around with out disturbing anyone. Breakfast was very good, delicious and options, tea many selections and coffee, juice, fruit, yogurt, toast, eggs, bacon... Amazing!!! Hmmm, good question. Maybe the air conditioning over the bed, minor thing so we turned it off.
- Martine (9/5): A truly wonderful stay! - Wonderful little gem this place is! Drew is a very friendly host who served us these great breakfasts! Quiet and Becky is a sweet friendly dog! Nothing!
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michel (3/5): Poor - The location. Outdated, unkept, no sitting outside. The room had a strong musty smell.
- Ann (8/5): Very good - close to places I wanted to visit softer bed sheets
- Valerie (7/5): Pretty good stay although we should have just stayed one night. - Clean enough. Couldn’t figure out the shower. Water way too hot. Bath instead at least. Nice gentlemen to chat with. Sophie was nice too. Breakfast could have been better. Scrambled eggs for breakfast both days. Not too close to anything. Lots of driving around.
- William (6/5): Ok. - Never spent time outside. Raining but not much to like about property Need some work. ?
- Ann (8/5): Very good - Great location The unit in which we stayed, didn’t look anything like the picture on the listing.
Also, it was very stuffy, and I couldn’t figure out how to open a window
- Andy (7/5): Good -
- Richard (7/5): An ok stay!! - Facilities are pretty run down. Toilet bowl is leaking with bad smell. Maintenance of facilities not being kept.
- Margaret (10/5): Drew was very hospitable and prepare good breakfast. - The room was very comfortable and Drew was very welcoming. When I left my charger behind Drew was very helpful. Everything was great.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gaire (10/5): Awesome stay. Helpful host - Host is amazing. He helped with with my bday celebration . Nothing
- Anonymous (10/5): The owners were very friendly and the room was very clean, would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting t -
- Reiko (9/5): Quaint and quiet lifestyle - The location had worked for our trip schedule.
We liked the personal touch in the unit, just like a home. None
- Sean (8/5): The owners are nice, breakfast great but we wouldn't return. - The breakfast was great and the owners are very nice. The outdoor state of the cabin. It's in such disrepair that we were ready to turn around and go elsewhere.
- Rachel (8/5): nice quiet spot half an hour from Charlottetown, hosts were lovely. - quiet and private not much to do- no grounds to go hang out on
- Alanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Immanuel (1/5): I would never return here. - Not much to like here. Breakfast not included. Host was grumpy rude old man.
- Tyler (1/5): Felt scammed. Not a cottage. - Nothing. Nice bathroom but they're too cheap to put in hot water tank to use facilities properly. What's the point of a soaker tub if u can't soak in hot water. Even after everyone complains on reviews you think they would change it but no. Motel style lodging. They have portioned a bungalow into multi use lodge. You do not get a private entrance it is right beside next room. I thought we were getting entire cottage as advertised but they misrepresent by not posting the pics that make it clear. Felt frauded and scammed. Dogs barking and can hear ppl next door. Even denied sending pictures I requested prior to stay to make it clear what was being rented.
- Lucia (8/5): Fabulous breakfast. Great location. -
- Steve (9/5): Superb - House is space enough, very clean and nice staff. Not enough hot water for bath, just enough for shower. If add more towl rack would be better and more convenient.
- Jo-anne (8/5): Nicest couple, very welcoming and great breakfasts. Provided great info on what to do and visit. -
- Scott (5/5): We were not at the location for long periods which was good. I was not comfortable with outside. - Location was good. Outside appearance was awful. Landscaping was not kept up at all and for the cost it should have been perfect.
- Robert (10/5): An excellent place to spend a couple of days and close to all of the Anne of Green Gables sites. - The breakfast was excellent and probably the best we have ever had at a b&b. The hosts were both very good and interesting. The room was large and had all good furnishings and appliances. The shower and bathtub were top notch and a pleasure to use. Nothing, everything good.
- Gail (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debbie (5/5): Passable - The owners had forgotten that we were arriving that day and our room was not ready. The rooms had a very stale and musty odor.
- Anna (8/5): We would stay here again! - Loved the rural, quiet shaded location. Very good breakfasts with pleasant hosts. The room was comfortable with a king bed, updated bathroom and private entrance. We had nice conversations with Drew and Francis.
- Raymond (2/5): Would not recommend Holiday House - Holiday House was large, great bathroom and comfortable bed. Holiday House: Unfortunately this cottage had a terrible mildew smell. We would have left but everything else booked up. Grass not cut. Front porch rotted and BBQ disgusting
- Keilty-gray (8/5): Great location, friendly people - Privacy and we could bring our dog.
- Richard (8/5): Centrally located to all of the island - Breakfast was great! Loved chatting with the hosts and other guests.
- Sue (10/5): Great place to stay. - Drew and Frances were excellent hosts. Friendly, helpful with ideas of what to see. Having breakfast with other guests was lovely getting to know other people and hear their stories. The room was comfortable and the location great. The breakfast each morning was great. Would highly recommend to anyone. Would have liked to stay longer!
- Cynthia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathy (10/5): Exceptional - We enjoyed staying here. The cottage gave us lots of space and was quite comfortable. Absolutely loved the breakfasts.
- Mathieu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pradeep (9/5): Superb -
- Yves (10/5): Very highly recommended!! - Very comfortable in all aspects. Awesome breakfast!
The host are just great!
Thank you for a wonderful couple of days. I would not change anything.
- Jennifer (9/5): Easy access to all of PEI - I had a luxurious King bed and a beautifully appointed bathroom. The breakfasts were varied, abundant, and delicious. The property is centrally located, and host provided valuable suggestions for places to go and places to eat. The outside of the property looked a little tired
- Nicolas (10/5): Best B&B in PEI! - The hosts were super friendly and accomodating! Their dog Becky is a beauty!
The breakfasts were out of this world. Diverse, tasty and filling which sets you up for a great day of touring the island.
The room was really spacious and clean!
Located in the northern central portion of the island approx. 30m from Charlottetown and 15m from Kensington, it was perfect to visit both sides of the island.
- Maureen (9/5): The breakfast and the hosts were exceptional! -
- Andrei (9/5): Superb -
- Tobias (7/5): Good - Very good self made breakfast
We could do bbq Bathtap we could not really use as the Boiler is too small. There is simply not enough hot water to use the nice bath
- Susannah (10/5): Great Stay - We loved our stay. The unit was spacious, modern, and comfortable.
- Charlotte (10/5): Everything was just perfect! - One of the nicest accommodations we have ever had. The hosts are infinitely nice and help where they can. A 2-course menu is served every morning and it is delicious - and something new every day. The decor of the rooms is just beautiful! They know so much about the island and can give you great tips. We would come back anytime, it was a great stay!
- Lori (8/5): comfortable stay - pet friendly, kitchenette, appeared newly renovated stated had a garden view but it did leave something to be desired
- David (9/5): Superb - Very friendly and welcoming. Lovely comfortable room and good breakfasts
- Anatoly (8/5): Very good -
- Andrée-ann (9/5): Superb -
- Stella (8/5): Very good - Spacy, very clean and homy. No instruction for thermopump settings.
- Arjun (10/5): feel like home - drew and Beth was exceptional , they where very
welcoming and we absolutely felt like home and
the best part is the breakfast , freshly cooked meal,
my wife is a vegetarian and they could accommodate
her needs very well . there is none
- Jianjun (9/5): Superb - Nice place, nice couple, we will come back again! Nothing bad but mosquitoes.
- Brenda (8/5): Perfect for a two night stay - Location, location, location. Private, secluded accommodation but very close to all the Stanley Bridge and Cavendish attractions. Bathroom was very spacious and modern. Photos of the deck and its usability and maintenance were not in line with in person experience. Minimal basic housekeeping supplies, such as paper towel, extra garbage bags etc
- Vladimir (8/5): Overall very pleasant stay - Great place to stay to explore Atlantic shore of PIE. Located close to Cavendish part of the national park with beautiful beaches. The hosts are very kind and helpful, not to mention an exceptional breakfast. Thank you very much!
Viktoria and Vlad A small fridge will be helpful
- Cheryl (10/5): very convenient to see Stanley Bridge concert - nice people and delicious breakfast
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Kimberly (8/5): Very good -
- Kevin (7/5): Ideal location to tour the Anne of Green Gables attractions. - Owners are very pleasant, location is close to Cavendish. Property was clean, the bathroom was excellent and the bed was comfortable. The property is in need of some maintenance and externally the shrubs and bushes were very overgrown making the rooms very dark. Additional utensils are required in the kitchen, eg no measuring jug. A box of tissues would have been helpful.
- Janice (7/5): Good -
- Leo (9/5): Superb - Great breakfast. Spacious bedroom with couch. Large modern bathroom with separate tub and shower. Private entrance. Quiet, green property. A mini fridge would be nice to have.
- Chen (9/5): Peaceful and lovely - Excellent facility and comfortable rooms. My kids said it's just like nanna's house, and we love the big, cozy beds.
Breakfast is fantastic. it's very nice even though my picky kids didn't try them all but definitely they enjoy the customized toasts. Great host and hostess, thank you! If there is a small fridge for storing the milk, fruit and sandwiches will be great.
- Adam (10/5): perfect place for a couple looking for a private but we’ll catered to place to stay! very friendly and breakfast was ama - hospitality and privacy !
- Eric (8/5): Very good - There was no breakfast. loved the location, loved the updated bathroom and how spacious bathroom and bedroom were. Just needed more tender loving care In the bathroom
