It was such a pleasure to be there and to enjoy the facilities as well as resting and relaxing in our room. The pool was divine. We brought our own food and our hosts offered to go to town and buy in anything we wanted at no extra cost. Very suitable arrangement. Everything was marvellous, it couldn't have been better.

Our apartment was wonderful - very clean, spacious and stylish, with floor to ceiling windows and a large terrace with a serene country outlook. My husband and I needed a relaxing getaway - we certainly got this at Mt. Hay Retreat. The indoor heated pool and spa area was spectacular - it included a beautiful waterfall over the pool. There were so many things to love about this retreat and we will definitely be back. Thanks a lot Anthony and Louise! There was nothing that we didn't like about the retreat itself... The only thing that wasn't great was the narrow, rough road leading into the Berry township. It was a bit scary driving around some corners and hills as the road could really only fit one car and one could not see in places if there was another car coming in the opposite direction. Fortunately this hardly ever happened and when there was an oncoming car we or the other driver immediately pulled away to the side and stopped for the other car to pass. This issue did not detract at all from our wonderful stay.

I would definitely recommend this retreat. - Amazing location with stunning views within a natural environment setting. The floor to ceiling windows treated us to viewing awesome sunrise and sunsets. Very comfortable accommodation with everything we needed. We loved the wildlife and the tranquillity. Our hosts were very attentive and helpful. Nothing exceeded our expectations.

• Niamh (10/5): Peaceful and stunning experience atop a mountain - My Hay Retreat is a serene property on top of a mountain with a gorgeous view of Berry below. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the peace and quiet on our balcony, swimming in the incredible pool, playing giant chess and swinging on a hill that feels like you’re flying out over the valley. I highly recommend this place for a peaceful stay. We also booked in massages which took place in our room and was the best massage I ever had! The only difficult part of the stay is needing to leave for meals. Although this is only a 10 minute drive to Berry, which has everything you need.

Booked for my partners birthday and couldn’t have picked a better spot. Just a stones throw from berry. Perfect indoor pool, and grounds to walk round. Total 10/10. Absolutely nothing
• Greg (10/5): Exceptional - A fantastic retreat and an ideal location for couples to enjoy a little peaceful and relaxing time together. Our room was both very spacious and luxurious, including a huge bathroom with underfloor heating, very comfortable king size beds, 2 great places to relax and chat (1 inside and the other an outdoor verandah). Spectacular views from all areas through huge glass doors and windows that cover all of the east facing wall . Outside the gardens are well established and maintained attracting a wide range of birds and animals. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful which was much appreciated Nothing

• Maria (10/5): 3 days stay felt like a whole week of relaxation. So peaceful, relaxing but close enough to shops and restaurants and na - Stunning views, heated and sizeable pool, privacy and host was very attentive. Berry Village very close by with lots of charming cafes, restaurants, shops and nature sightseeing, if one was inclined to do so. Was not anyone’s fault and it was mentioned beforehand but due to the recent heavy rain, quite a few potholes on the drive up on the private road. However, my understanding is it’s a very temporary situation.

• Karen (10/5): The calmness, the stunning views, the friendliness of the owners = complete package - Luckily we travelled in a 4WD as the road up to the retreat is quite steep and ruff in places. It's both bitumen and gravel. However all that is forgotten once you reach the top. It truely was like the rest of the world didn't exist. Calm just settled over you. We own a small property out of town so it's not even the fact we were out of town, we are use to that. I can't describe it as anything else other than calm. The view was intoxicating. Due to the privacy out there we could leave the blinds open and the massive windows were like our own private view of the landscape. From the sun rising to the storms rolling in, the rain on the tin roof to the songs of frogs at night, it just took you to another place. The last night of our stay, after a nice hot shower, we wrapped ourselves in the robes supplied and lay out on the lounges on our verandah watching the lightening put on a mesmerising show across the sky. The calm of Mt Hay Retreat has already got me thinking about our next stay. And the pool & spa.... sigh! Not a single thing!

The bathroom overlooked a private garden but was not maintained and had empty pots sitting around, wasn’t very appealing. the private road in and out was filled with pot holes that were not well maintained.
