Guest Reviews
- Joanne (9/5): -
- Bruce (7/5): - Great location with an easy walk to shops, pub and restaurants. Extremely clean and had modern quality fittings. Heating was excellent. A very quaint property that lacked some room in the kitchen (bench space), lounge (only one couch and uncomfortable chairs for the small dining table), bedroom (limited space for suitcases and just two hooks for clothes) and bathroom (vanity bench top did not allow for placement of toiletry bags).
- Diane (10/5): Immaculate presentation, good location, easy check in, great breakfast, highly recommend - Immaculate presentation, good location, good breakfast, warm & cosy N/a
- John (10/5): - Warm and comfortable and generously provisioned. Nothing.
- Margie (10/5): Thoroughly recommend. - Beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches. We loved the Easter eggs hidden around the house. Breakfast was great, linen was luxurious and the fire was set ready. Steps up to the bathroom but that was only because of my wonky knee
- Paula (10/5): Our stay at The Chapel was perfect and a big THANKYOU to our wonderful hosts who have thought of everything for a memora - The Chapel was thoughtfully decorated throughout. Little touches like a decanter of port for a tipple in the evening. We wished we were spending more than one night.
- Grant (10/5): This accomodation is highly recommended - Beautifully presented with quality inclusions and close to town
- Margot (10/5): High quality in a luxurious property! - This is a 5 star luxury property in a beautiful setting. The amenities and provisions are of excellent quality. Highly recommendable and very good value.
- Holly (9/5): We enjoyed our stay at the chapel - it was very comfortable. We’ll be back! - Very clean, great location. Charming & comfortable cottage. Enjoyed the breakfast. Nothing
- Bob (10/5): A great experience - The chapel was beautifully decorated and fitted out. Great breakfast plus chocolates and port. Couldn’t fault anything
- hangglider (10/5): Everything was the best - we loved it - We loved everything about this place. The beds were very comfortable, the shower was excellent as were the soap and shampoo. We really appreciated the loaf of fresh home-baked bread that was waiting for us with jam, peanut butter, butter and vegemite in the fridge. Coffee pods were supplied as was a decanter of port(?) and some chocolates. The fridge was large and had a thermometer in it which read 4 deg C - just right. The decor was magnificent and although the building was very old, it had been tastefully renovated. You should not miss staying here if you have a chance. Would have appreciated more than 3 tissues in the box.
- SALLY (10/5): Wonderful overnight stay. Wished we could’ve stayed longer - Lovely personal touches. Spotlessly clean. Excellent facilities and comfortable. Delicious breakfast
Great communication from host. Walkable location to shops and restaurants. Nothing

Herzlichen Dank Gayle and Michael

- Phillip (10/5): Lovely accommodation with excellent hosts - Everything Nothing

They have thought of everything. One of the best places I've ever stayed in. Breakfast was fantastic! I couldn't think of anything I didn't like.
- Susanne (9/5): Comfy chapel - Very easily accessible to Deloraine. The comfy Chapel has all the old world charm with modern conveniences. Bathromm ventilation fan too small for room.
- Takeshi (10/5): -

- Kate (10/5): A perfect little spot to stop on our roadtrip. - A very sweet heritage place that was well located and cosy. We would definitely return.
- Katrina (10/5): Beautiful, comfortable accommodation with thoughtful details. Will be recommending to my friends. - The property was like stepping back in time. The details in furnishings and decor were spot on. It was also very well appointed and the hosts provided little surprises that went above and beyond. The space was smaller than some places we have stayed, but it was such an inconsequential thing I feel like everything else made up for it.
- Jennifer (10/5): Great set up and lovely experience - Delightful
- Gerard (9/5): Superb -
- Anne (10/5): Quality historic property - A beautifully renovated & furnished property with comfortable beds, freshly baked bread & breakfast supplies most appreciated!
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was lovely. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. The location is quite central.
- Graham (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully presented. Lovely extra touches. Couldn’t fault it.
- Pam (8/5): Very good accommodation in Deloraine - Very good communication with the host. This is a very cute historic cottage - lovingly restored - with everything you need. We really appreciated the BBQ and enjoyed sitting outside under the umbrella. Short walk to town. Good breakfast :)
- Cheryl (10/5): Location, Location, Location - Many things we liked about this property - proximity for easy walking - we could park up the car and walk to the local areas, including the Main Street and Visitor Information Centre. We were only a short drive to the other areas we wanted to visit like Liffey Falls, Mole Creek, Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm etc. The small touches, including a tipple of Port at the end of the day and some chocolates. You can park on the property and not have to drag luggage great distances. We took advantage of the fresh apples on the tree out back. There was nothing we didn’t like about The Chapel.
- Kylie (10/5): Loved our stay at the Chapel. It was even decorated with beautiful Christmas decorations - Great, quaint atmosphere
- Lorraine (10/5): Perfect for our two nights in beautiful Deloraine - would definitely recommend - Everything. It was so beautifully fitted out in keeping with the restored former chapel. The breakfast supplies included were great - selection of cereals, tinned peaches, yogurt, lovely loaf of fresh bread, butter and jam. Port and chocolates was a nice touch too. It’s central location - just a five minute walk down the road to the main street. Our host Michael was lovely too and very east to deal with. Nothing
- Van (10/5): Beautiful place with lovely amenities - Everything. Port and chocolates were a lovely touch and so was the breakfast provisions
- Michelle (8/5): Welcoming space in keeping with a beautiful building. - Unique decor to suit the old chapel building. Thoughtful tasteful touches to create a consistent feel, eg toiletries in the bathroom were presented in an older style, crockery was a bit fancy, microwave and fridge were behind a door. The bed was a bit firm for our taste.
- Joan (10/5): Fabulous accommodation, dont miss it! - Charming, pristine, classy, stylish interior design complimenting the historic nature of the building, with the garden in keeping. All the complementary treats on offer to guests. Friendly interesting host. We loved everything about it!
- Mark (10/5): Great place to stay in a lovely town. -
- Karon (8/5): We had a lovely long weekend staying at The Chapel. It was a great base to explore Deloraine area. - Property's cleanliness, breakfast provisions, central but quiet location and it was furnished to match its history (but with modern appliances/bathroom). Bed was a bit short for a tall person.
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michele (10/5): Very comfortable, luxury stay with a beautiful garden to relax in as well. - Lovely breakfast supplied for stay. Quiet location, beautifully appointed throughout with everything thought of. Lots of extra personal touches. If I had to think of anything it would be something to put your bags on.
- Rowland (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Nostalgic and beautiful setting. - The quaintness of this Chapel and its excellent facilities. We were able to show our 13 yr old grandson, what it was like living in an older era. The knick knacks in this cute accommodation were amazing! Nothing could really have been better, except that we could only stay 1 night. Perhaps to be assisted with ideas for dinner places may have helped, but a drive to the Main Street soon sorted that out and it was a Sunday evening.
- Janet (10/5): Well worth the experience - Fabulously fitted out. Everything you could think of is there. Breakfast was provided and wonderful. Rooms are a bit small for luggage but when only a short stay you don’t care
- Kim (10/5): A short but memorable stay which included a charming little Chapel full of history. We loved the provided breakfast whic - The Chapel was a cosy, inviting and unique stay. We loved everything about it.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suzanne (9/5): Superb -
- Sarann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): I would definitely stay here again. - It is an absolute charming property in a lovely town. Comfortable bed. The bread and breakfast material was ample and a little different with peaches and cream.
- Annalisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Well located accommodation that was just off the main street in a quiet area. - This renovated historic chapel, was well appointed with all the mod cons including a fireplace and a very healthy breakfast was provided. Host went the extra yard by offering additional wood for the fire, which we did ask for and it was dropped over while we were touring the region. Deloraine is such a good central location for touring, on this trip we visitied Ulverstone for the Leven River Cruise, Mole Creek for 6 course degustation dinner at the Wandering Trout Brewery and lunch at Eastford Creek Vineyard for a seasonal platter and accompanying wines among the highlights.
- Judith (9/5): We had a very pleasant stay in The Chapel, which is beautifully furnished, in a quiet neighbourhood. Our continental bre - Very clean, quiet neighbourhood, private and an excellent continental breakfast was supplied. Nothing comes to mind.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerri (10/5): Excellent accommodation close to the town centre and close to other attractions close to Deloraine. - The accommodation was exceptional. It was extremely comfortable and the attention to detail throughout the Chapel was evident. Breakfast was provided and it was delicious with generous amounts of food. There were no negatives with this accommodation.
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (8/5): Step back in time to early Australia for a night. - Really interesting 1800s decor. Modern kitchen and bathroom.
- Annabel (10/5): Standout accommodation in delightful Deloraine. - The Chapel is a delightful 2 bedroom cottage located a short stroll from the Main Street. There is a lounge/dining room, well equipped Kitchen and a laundry with washing machine and dryer.
The hosts have thought of everything and are very welcoming. Nothing at all.
- Warren (10/5): Great access point to lots of hikes in the region. Lovely friendly interesting town, quirky shops and everything you nee - We loved the historic nature of the building and also how well the refurbishment into holiday accommodation had been achieved.
- Antonio (10/5): Stunning Chapel Escape in Deloraine - It was beautifully restored & exquisitely decorated.A really memorable experience staying in The Chapel. Thank you Gayle & Michael for all the special little touches.Best Wishes.Sharon & Tony Everything was was fabulous!
- Rod (9/5): Excellent location, character property, well appointed - Excellent location, helpful owners, well appointed
- Karen (10/5): Very comfortable stay in this quaint little cottage. - Quaint former chapel that has amazing history, with some very comfy updates while keeping true to era.
- Kathy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pullen (9/5): Superb -
- Annemarie (10/5): Perfect attention to detail. Absolutely loved it - Absolutely stunning accommodation, exceptional attention to detail. Such a lovely stay.. can’t rate high enough Nothing
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Stacey (10/5): Quick overnighter to see the town and break up driving. The place is beautiful. - Location and the Breakfast included! The bath tub and bath salts were beautiful. The bed was a little bit squeaky and uncomfortable.
- Ann-maree (10/5): We spent our last two nights of our Tassie trip at The Chapel - it will definitely be on our agenda again next trip! - It was amazing! So comfortable, homely, tranquil and also, central.
- Mark (10/5): Already planning our next visit to Tasmania and will stay here again. - The chapel is beautiful, both inside and out. Breakfast supplies were great. Everything was comfortable. The open fireplace was a step back to earlier days and for me was the highlight of our visit. The bed in the main bedroom is only a double but it appears to be an original brass and iron bed made in Birmingham complete with overhead canopy for a mosquito screen. something most visitors, including my wife will have never seen. A one minute drive to the town centre or a few minutes walk. Since you cannot see everything in this part of Tasmania in a week or even a month this would be a great base to start from. We only had two nights. Really nothing I didn’t like. The driveway is narrow which maybe difficult for city dwellers, but that’s the way it is and there was a beautiful hedge. It might take two or three entries to get used to it. The TV in the room is quite a small screen. We only wanted to watch some football at night. And after all who wants to watch TV when you are on the most beautiful island on the planet.
- Cheryl (10/5): Fantastic stay, highly recommend! Photos do not do it justice - Impeccable attention to details, whatever you think you could need, they already had provided. Feather doonas were so lovely and warm, fire was all ready to go, lovely bath with rose scented epsom salts and candles in a modern bathroom, full kitchen available, apples growing on a tree in the backyard. Just a lovely period home to stay in, highly recommend. They had the heater on when we arrived ready for us, and also called me when I had forgotten my jacket there. Nothing, they were lovely.
- Byron (10/5): Welcome respite after spending a significant amount of time hiking through the Tassie's Wilderness - The complimentary continental breakfast and associated comforts were fantastic. Highly recommend staying at The Chapel Nothing
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (10/5): Private, relaxing, elegant, beautifully presented. Highly recommend! - Beautifully maintained, historic property, everything was arranged and presented thoughtfully. There was fresh bread, milk, butter, yoghurt etc left for us, choccies and port in the living room, gorgeous antique furniture, everything was spotlessly clean, blockout blinds, comfortable bed, elegant bathroom with tub (much to my excitement), dish and clothes washing consumables provided, all the kitchenware you could need, private backyard, onsite parking… just fabulous. If I had to be super picky, the TV was rather small (not that I watched it, but my partner did), and it would have been nice to have a queen instead of double main bed but I imagine this is a size restraint due to the room/building.
- Wu (10/5): Full of characters, beautiful house - Very clean No
- Patricia (10/5): A beautiful well-appointed gem to experience in Deloraine. The attention to detail was on point. - Great breakfast and great location.
The brekky was generous with quality produce. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. Nothing
- Judy (10/5): We enjoyed the beautiful decor of the Chapel and lovely continental breakfast catering to our requirements. - Beautiful home away from home, very comfortable.
- Dodie (10/5): Exceptional - breakfast was provided and it was a nice touch.
- Janet (10/5): Absolutely delightful cottage -
- Carol (8/5): Lovely historic property -
- Maria (10/5): Wonderful place to stay in Deloraine - Beautiful place to stay a couple of nights! Very charming :) Nothing. All was perfect!
