Guest Reviews
- Nigel (9/5): - Plenty of room , close to everything, , cosy Low door frame into bathroom, , ok once you got used to it.
- Erin (9/5): -
- Julia (10/5): Great little spot to stay, lovely staff 🩵 - Close to local wineries N/A
- Tahlia (8/5): -
- David (10/5): -
- john (7/5): - Nice peaceful setting Access at night was very dark
- Gina (8/5): we enjoyed our afternoon and evening relaxing...prior to leaving at 8am next morning - location good...room comfortable well laid out....outdoor area a real bonus as weather was warm...gardens well maintained.. loved the extra towels in bathroom....heater was quiet and loved the heater in the bathroom for the chilli morning. bathroom sink had nasty crack in it....toilet paper is single ply....not good...no tissues in room or bathroom...as the shower is situated over the old spa bath a grab rail would be handy...shower head needs a soak in CLR to clear the calcium build up so head is more effective
- Wheat's (5/5): You asked - Location, novelty of the accommodation Opening the door was difficult, the pillow topper kept moving facilitating a poor sleep, when we went out at night there was no lighting to show us the driveways to turn into the bathroom is very tired
- Gary (10/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): -
- Carolyn (10/5): -
- Eliane (9/5): -
- Simone (7/5): Very good - Great location, clean, staff lovely, cafe exceptional. Bathroom a bit dated, but is in keeping with the age and style of the cottages
- Philip (9/5): A lovely place to stay in the Barossa. - The cluster of cottages around a landscape and the winery is very appealing. The location is removed from any hustle and bustle but very close to coffee, fuel, snacks and of course everything else the Barossa offers. We would suggest swapping out the cold blue light globes for a warm white to really celebrate the character of the cottage and create a more rustic and maybe romantic quality.
- graham (10/5): relaxing and comfortable - N/A it was all very good
- Karen (8/5): -
- Daniela (9/5): Lovely spot, tucked away within the winery! The cottage we stayed in was nicely presented, clean and comfortable. The co - Gorgeous property with quaint little cottages that were nicely presented and comfortable. Water pressure (or lack there of)
- Stacey (10/5): Relaxing, quiet and comfortable - It was central, clean and comfortable. We loved that we could walk to places for dinner, and there was the patisserie on site for breakfast when we finally rolled out of the comfortable bed. It was lovely and quiet and I know where we’ll be staying next time we visit the Barossa.
- Gerard (10/5): Very relaxing stay and will definitely book again in future - Surprisingly quiet. Friendly staff. Very nice cellar door and cafe Nothing
- Jennifer (10/5): A beautifully relaxing stay in a great boutique vineyard ! A gem in The Barossa! - It was a wonderful stay . The staff were great!
Very accomodating and I slipped into a winetasting straight away!
So, impressed by the wonderful young woman who lead me through all their delicious drops!
Will definitely return !
- Melissa (9/5): Relaxing and enjoyable - Cottage 1 was large and had a king size bed. Loved the free wine tasting at the cellar door. Close to Nuri and Tanunda. Short drive everywhere else. Courtyard was cute unfortunately the weather did not allow us to appreciate it. Bathroom doorway was low for my husband; he is tall.
- Paul (8/5): -
- Sally At (9/5): -
- Ken (7/5): Quiet clean comforatble, but I would not be able to bring my wife there. - Quiet, comfortable, easy to park, nice surroundings, good WiFi,
Guest amenities were nice
Adequate crockery/cutlery, microwave adequate,
Clean
I am 6'4" so the King Size bed was very welcome, and it was very comfortable To justify the price, better cooking facilities would have been well received.
The bath was in quite poor shape, bits an pieces fallen off, chips in the surface.
Lighting was only just good enough
Basin waste was in need of replacement too
- Grant (9/5): wonderful place , well thought out - Na Water pressure in shower was vey poor and hottook a long time to come through
- Rosemary (7/5): Pleasant, one night stay in a comfortable and pleasant location. - Value for money and very clean accommodation. Pleasant decor and comfortable. Also staff were attentive. When the a/c wasn’t working, a staff member came promptly and fixed the problem. Very positive outcome.
- Kay (10/5): - A comfortable, pretty cottage in a lovely courtyard on the Kaesler Vineyard and winery estate. A stonesthrow from the Cellar Door and also the Patisserie and Farm Shop. Generous and friendly hosts and a welcome bottle of wine. What’s not to love!
- Louise (8/5): Kaesler Cottages are a lovely place to stay whilst exploring the Barossa Valley. - Very pretty cottage and gardens. The complimentary wine and chocolates were very thoughtful. Very clean and nicely decorated. The central heating was broken. 2 heaters were provided in their place thank you, but we had to turn the bedroom heater off during the night due to the high pitched noise it was making.
- Joanne (9/5): Great accommodation, handy to many Barossa activities. - It was very quiet, the bed was very comfortable and the bottle of wine was a nice touch. Nothing
- Stuart (9/5): Exclusive - The room was very nice, and clean. Bed was very comfortable. The room was well set out.staff were so friendly and helpful. I loved that there is only 3 cabins, which makes it so romantic. I can't recommend this place enough. The pillows were a little flat. Which was so minor.

- Charmaine (8/5): - Good location and liked that the winery had tastings on site. Liked the location next to the beautiful garden centre. Lots of towels in the bathroom which was great. Lovely addition of free bottle of wine in room. Cleanliness of the room, with a bit of dust and cob webs in the lamps, lights etc. Would have been great to have a sink to do dishes and tidy up.
- James (9/5): -
- Stewart (8/5): -
- Kirsty (9/5): Good value overnight stay - Tidy cottage in easy to get to location. Bonus being right by the winery and included amenities. Good information in lead up to booking about check-in etc. and the bed was super comfy to sleep in. Lawn moving and edging started right outside at 7am and went till 9am, so was a bit disruptive to sleeping in.
- Bernie (9/5): very enjoyable - The ambience very chilled relaxing. We had 3 units and a lovely courtyard to ourselves. The rooms were very nice and roomy nothing
- Merin (9/5): Great place to spend a few days - Lovely clean, quiet property N/A
- James (9/5): -
- Jason (10/5): -
- Chloe (10/5): -
- Paul (10/5): Beautiful cottage in a great location, loved our time here. - The cottage was fantastic - fully self-contained with a beautiful garden setting and a complimentary bottle of wine. It had a well-equipped kitchenette and really comfortable bed. This is a great location to explore the area from with many wineries and points of interest a short drive away. Loved our stay here. Not much - the adjacent bakery is a little expensive but there are plenty of options in the township which is a 10-minute walk away.
- Catherine (6/5): - Overall the room was nice. The cafe nearby was good. The cleaning staff were delightful and tried to assist as much as possible when we alerted them to having hot water issues.
So too were the staff in the wine tasting venue. They tried to compensate for our luke warm showers. There was no 'hot' water for a shower. At its best it became luke warm. Once after my partner had a shower the water stopped completely leaving me without water for anything. Thankfully it started again after a short while. Though the staff were lovely, the manager who was the one responsible for getting a plumber out was no where to be seen. They failed to respond to my email and a message from a staff member. That was the most disappointing thing for us.
There were 2 tvs in the room. The second TV in the lounge room would randomly turn on without us doing anything while watching a movie on the bedroom TV. Weird.
I dont usually logged bad reviews but this place was disappointing.
- Annie (10/5): A great experience and surroundings. - The location was amazing, the staff at the winery for our free tasting were happy, bright and helpful. The communication was great before we arrived and after, we would definitely recommend to others and stay again.
- Marisha (9/5): lovely, would come back - very nice cottage, clean and tastefully decorated. chocolates and wine were very welcoming the bath/shower combination was a bit awkward. bath had loose plugs
- Colin (7/5): -
- Jock (9/5): Great location, great accommodation in the vines! - Beautiful location in a vineyard, lovely room, friendly staff, great cafe on Thursday to Saturday Some road noise early in the morning.
- Annette (8/5): Very comfortable and convenient in a beautiful setting. - Beautiful surroundings, green grass and shady trees. Close to Nuriootpa and Seppeltsfield. Easy check in. Goodies like orange juice and wine a lovely gesture. A bit of a juggle to use toaster and boil kettle on flat spaces near power. A couple of mozzies during the night.
- Robert (10/5): A great time in a great location! - Comfort, location and friendly/helpful staff Liked it all
- Troy (9/5): -
- Nicholas (9/5): -
- Rachel (10/5): -
- Julie (10/5): -
- Iro (8/5): A beautiful welcoming place to stay. - We loved the welcoming feel of the cottage with the beautiful gardens surrounding it. The bottle of wine and chocolates were also a lovely welcoming gesture. Staff were very friendly and informative. The bathroom is a bit dated with the shower over a spa bath.
- Samuel (7/5): Unfortunately the weather was terrible and this impacted our enjoyment and sight-seeing. - The supply of milk and juice allowed for self catering breakfast. The complementary bottle of wine. The gardens were beautiful and well maintained. Shower over the bath - dangerous for older people. Room was faily small.
There was a fair walk from the car park to the accommodation.
The air conditioner wasn't heating but worked after Robyn visited.
- Mitchell (10/5): -
- Petersen (10/5): We enjoyed every minute - Beautiful with a wonderful winery to visit. The staff were so helpful.
- Hels (8/5): Great place for a stay over. - Location, big bed & amenities The shower!! Very disappointed. Hardly any water, no water pressure & no hot cold adjustability.
- Deb (9/5): Great accommodation. Will be back -
- Luana (8/5): Cosy, picturesque cottage handy to Barossa Valley. - Fantastic Barossa location. The cottage was cosy and comfortable with a lovely outdoor area. We enjoyed the Kaesler wine tasting, the delicious patisserie on-site and the complimentary bottle of wine. Well-stocked with essentials. Slightly let down on cleanliness. The bathroom floor could have been cleaner and there were cobwebs around the base of the vanity and on the cornices in the bedroom ceiling. A shower curtain would also have been useful. The bathroom needs updating (especially the awful wooden toilet seat). Apart from these specific issues, overall the amenities were great.
- Peter (8/5): -
- Rob (6/5): -
- Cheryl (7/5): Pleasant overall. - The location is great and the garden is lovely. The bathroom in particular getting in and out of a non working spa is hazardous for us oldies.
- Ridgwell (10/5): Loved it! Perfect place for a getaway in the Barossa. Good bed and amenities- we loved it - It was great! Comfy bed, spacious room and everything you need Perhaps more bottles of water
- Marie - Christine (10/5): -
- Emma (10/5): Fantastic place to stay after a day wine tasting in the Barossa Valley. - Fantastic place to stay after a day wine tasting in the Barossa Valley.
Comfortable and cosy, clean and tidy. Walls are quite thin with the other cottage, as they were watching TV and heard them really clearly. Not a big issue at all and did not disrupt our stay at all. Just a note
- Louise (10/5): Perfect Barossa getaway spot! - Everything! We stayed in cottage 1 and it was sensational. Clean, warm and cosy. Grounds are beautiful too. Staff were all lovely. Nothing at all. We loved it.
- Eugenio (10/5): -
- Mick (10/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): - We had two cottages and they were fabulous. Comfy beds and everything we needed. Loved the wine tasting right at our door. Shower was a little slippery getting in and out.
- West (10/5): - Cottages were so charming, in an excellent location with the bonus of a patisserie and cellar door right on your doorstep.
- Susan (10/5): It was a beautiful mini break away from it all - We loved the comfortable and spacious cottage, the bottle of wine was a beautiful touch! Gorgeous cafe on site, nice to look out on the vines :)
- Pires (8/5): -
- Ben (10/5): Excellent, highly recommend and will be back ... for longer. - The cottage was in a great spot in the centre of the Barossa Valley close to the main towns and wineries. The cottage itself was spacious and very clean. Nothing we didn't like about the cottage. The only issue we came across was trying to find somewhere open for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It seemed like a lot were closed or did not open until late which was unusual for a tourist area.
- Barbora (10/5): Adorable & comfortable cottage stay - The cottage was adorable! It was super comfortable, had a beautiful old winery charm. It was close to everywhere we needed to get to. Check in instructions were super easy. Nothing really! We didn't get to make the most of the winery and patisserie next door because of the opening hours.
- Rebecca (9/5): -
- Black (7/5): Lovely facilities beautifully updated but still allowed for the history to show. Overall pleasant - No breakfast, no interaction with staff
Long way between parking and cottages. Arrived after dark so difficult to navigate.
Unfortunately bad back and rough pavement and not fantastic lighting. Couldn't use showering facilities as impossible to climb into spa.
Pity doona filled with polyester not natural fibre cotton or wool.
Very pleasant surroundings and amenities. Bed beautifully comfortable.Lighting not good for reading. Signage to cottages from car park if arriving for first time after dark
Mentioned in comments before
- Jill (8/5): Comfortable accommodation close to everything. Staff at the Cellar Door were lovely - Great location Lack of cooking facilities & sink but we were forewarned so no big issue
- Bron Marshall (8/5): Good place to stay! - Comfortable and clean.
Close to restaurants and wineries.
Patisserie next door was great for breakfast. Bathroom needs an upgrade.
- Victoria (10/5): A gorgeous spot that ticks all boxes - Beautifully appointed and decorated, and so warm and snug. A real ‘home’ with a heritage feel and attention to detail for guests. We had Room 1 cottage with bathroom, bedroom and seperate kitchenette/sitting room. Lovely smelling toiletries, linen, rug for snuggling under on the sofa, complimentary bottle of delicious Kaesler Shiraz, OJ in fridge and dear little sitting area front and back of the cottage to enjoy the winter sunshine with a coffee or wine. Absolutely recommend the Kaesler Winery tasting, breakfast at the Patisserie & Farm Shop and a short walk into Nurioopta for restaurants, coffee and Barossa Fresh shopping complex. Great location and topped off by lovely, friendly staff. It was perfect.
- Kim (8/5): - No sink available
- Blake (9/5): -
- Donna (10/5): A very quaint establishment for a short stay. Very clean and lovely hosts. - The patisserie next door was amazing. We had brekky there one day. So disappointed we couldn't fit in a winery tasting at Kaisler. The inclusions of a bottle of wine was a great touch and finally, it is next door to the nursery. Amazing! Struggling to think of anything that could be improved. It was really lovely.
- Cristina (9/5): Cosy and comfy romantic gettaway. - Lovely cottages. So comfortable and relaxing. The day was rainy and cold and they left the heater on. It was so nice to enter a warm and cosy place. The bonus chocolates and bottle of wine was great. Check instructions were super clear. It was honetly so lovely.
- Michael (9/5): Recommend as cottage was comfortable and in a good location - Great location. Amenities were good, excellent shower. Bonus was a new cafe on site which served good breakfast.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good -
- Nicole (9/5): Superb - The cellar door being 100m from the cottage Leaving
- Diane (8/5): Very good -
- Barry (6/5): Staff we met were great & aware of issues. With a bit more support it could be good. - Staff went out of their way to overcome lack of cooking facilities that we were expecting when we booked We were expecting a stand alone cottage when booking but really it was only a motel room. That said we enjoyed our stay
- Rhys (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Geoff (8/5): Loved it.will be back - Cosy convenient clean No complaints
- Amanda (10/5): We will be back! Loved our stay - Cosy, quiet , private. loved being next to the cellar door. We did a tasting then bought some wine to enjoy in the garden. Loved the little touches in the room like bottle of complimentary wine, juice tea and coffee machine. We will be back! Nothing!
