- Parker (10/5): Sunset cottages - I stay 3 nights, and it was a girly time out. It's a absolutely beautiful place with everything you need. Quiet and yet a short drive there's plenty of shops. Neil and Pat are very welcoming host, it was nice to meet them đ. You can not pay for the peace I received at this lovely cottage. Has all the kitchen setup, all you need to stay comfortably. Beds are great and movies games, and outdoors. Cosy.
- Amanda (9/5): Beautiful, peaceful and enjoyable. - We loved everything about the Sunset Cottage. The location - great. The view - great. It was cosy and comfortable and really enjoyable. Nothing.

- Carolyn (9/5): We loved Sunset cottage and hope to stay again. - It was close to Healesville and the venue where we had tickets for a band. It was quiet and had a lovely view. We were thankful for the aircon which was very efficient, as the weather was extreme. The kitchen was well appointed and little extras that were a lovely surprise. The bed was comfy and hooks for things that needed to hang up. Nothing
- Moksha (9/5): -
- Bjoern (10/5): - Best stay ever ! What a lovely cottage. ââ-
- Sophie (10/5): Perfect cottage escape - We had a lovely stay at Sunset Cottage. Pat & Neil were very communicative and have thought of everything. We appreciated the kitchen facilities and everything we needed to cook at the property including a BBQ. The inclusion of butter and milk (including oat & almond milks) was fantastic. The view is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- Lauren (10/5): Peaceful Cottage with incredible views - Cosy, homely feel with incredible views. Pat and Neil are so kind and have thought of every detail to make it a home away from home.

- Michelle (8/5): I would have liked to spend more time at the cottage but circumstances didnât allow that. - We found the accommodation quite rustic and very comfortable. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. Having the heating on for our arrival was very nice. I wasnât aware we had to pay extra for the second bedroom. I hadnât read that information on Booking.com
I probably would not have booked it if Iâd known that.
But it was my fault for not reading the information.
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Samantha (10/5): Idyllic cottage retreat in wine country with the family. - The hosts Pat and Neil were the most delightful people. Not only did they take my daughters to see their cows and calfs during calving season (including letting my daughter give milk to a 2 day old calf), but Pat kindly mailed my kindle to my home address after I left it in the property. In addition, the setting was stunning and cottage cosy and lovely. I couldnât recommend more.
- emma_aus_77 (10/5): Charming cottage, a relaxing stay - This cosy cottage is one that I would definitely stay at again! We were there on a cold weekend and we were very comfortable. I can see this being a great place to be in the summer too, sitting out on the deck. We enjoyed the sunset view, the proximity to the town, and the breakfast goodies were a nice touch. We had a relaxing time watching the smart TV, cooking up meals, and spotting the kangaroos. The hosts are very responsive and friendly. I would love to come back again to Sunset Cottage. Thank you Pat and Neil. I can't think of anything - we were happy with our stay.
- Pritesh (10/5): Exceptional -

- Alexandra (10/5): Lovely country stay - Wonderful views and a real escape in the countryside but still close to Healesville centre. Comfortable living area and well equipped. Electric blankets and plenty of throws and blankets helped for the cold weather. Very thin light curtains in bedrooms so hard to sleep in.
- Lee (10/5): Beautiful eclectic cottage with welcoming hosts set in the most amazing location. Just perfect. - What an amazing cottage. Beautifully decorated and with lots of extra touches. Pat and Neil were so welcoming. They provided fresh fruit, wine, bread on our arrival. The sunset each afternoon was devine. Lovely and warm and very homely. Highly recommend this cottage. - John (10/5): We have and will recommend Sunset Cottage to our friends and family. I look forward to returning for another stay and th - My friend and I stayed overnight at Sunset Cottage to celebrate her 60th birthday and it was perfect. The cottage is so beautiful and also interesting. We had the most relaxing time and everything we needed was supplied including breakfast supplies. We spent quite a few hours admiring the view from the veranda. Pat and Neil were so lovely and popped over to introduce themselves and also just to check that everything was ok.
- Lachlan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gareth (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rob (9/5): Superb -
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annabel (9/5): Superb - The love and care that has gone into creating this lovely little eclectic cottage was evident as soon as we arrived. Pat & Neil have captured all that a relaxing getaway is supposed to be. Waking up to a foggy misty Yarra Valley morning made it even more special, and we absolutely loved our stay here. The bed was a little too firm, but everyone has different comfort levels, so it is often hard to get this right.
- Verena (8/5): Very good -
- Louise (10/5): The perfect spot to energise and soak up all the Birrabung / Yarra has to offer - Absolutely stunning accommodation!!! A beautiful cottage set up with everything you could need. We loved every part of our stay. All of the little touches just made it a real stand out... the fresh bread and condiments, fruit, chocolate treats, even things like washing powder....the hosts have thought of everything! Love the coffee maker too!!! The cleanliness was top notch too. We just loved sitting and drinking local wine with local cheeses on the deck each evening. Such a peaceful country setting yet Healesville is only a 2minute drive down the road. Totally recommend staying at Sunset Cottage....I just hope we get the opportunity to return. Lovely clear instructions prior to arrival. You will not be disappointed staying here!
- Caitlin (10/5): Exceptional - Relaxing with an amazing view. The property had everything we needed and more! The hosts were lovely and helpful
- Soo (10/5): Our hosts came by to check on us, making us feel welcomed and supported in case we needed any help. Our needs were fully - We love how the cottage was lovingly and imaginatively furnished, creating a space that is cosy and welcoming! Nil
- Cassandra (10/5): Beautiful cottage with gorgeous view - Beautiful views, friendly staff, spacious accommodation, rustic decor, yet modern appliances.
- Nicole (7/5): Good -
- Jesse (10/5): It was cozy and comfy. just what you need when you off visiting wineries and dinning out etc.. - location was great. close to everything while still just far enough to give us some quiet and a view of the countryside. served as a great base to explore the area from. I do not think there is anything we disliked. the room location was perfect.
Not related to the room, but the area needs better Uber and taxi services with the amount of wineries and restaurants around. we managed though.
- Martin (10/5): The stay way exceeded our expectations - Very handy, comfortable, quaint, country style cottage - Location was perfect - very hand to Healesville and WIneries Nothing
- Kirsty (9/5): Lovely stay while taking a break from the busy city life - As the pictures show, which was nice. Cozy when it was cold, and enjoyed watching the sunsets. Pleasant and discrete hosts.
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Broadwood (10/5): Exceptional - This place was in paradise. Sweeping, rolling green hills. Gorgeous sunset. Beautiful and private. Added touches next level, fresh eggs from their chickens, fruit bowl, fresh loaf of bread...various milk choices. These guys thought of everything!!! Nothing. It was amazing
- Stephen (9/5): Beautiful location, beautiful views, beautiful rustic interior and we had a beautiful time. I also made a mistake with m - Great location with beautiful sweeping views of the valley. Very close to township of Healsville and many wineries and restaurants. Milk and fresh bread were provided when checking in which was a lovely touch. If I had to find something Iâd just say the couch was a little uncomfortable but that would just be nit picking really. Everything was great and well thought out by the owners.
- Maria (9/5): Superb -
- Stephanie (10/5): A cosy well thought out cottage with beautiful views no matter what time of year. - We absolutely loved every detail put into this beautiful cottage. The view with a morning coffee was absolutely stunning as well.
Facilities were lovely, with complimentary bits and pieces which we adored.
Neil and Pat spoke to us and we felt very welcome and looked after.
Will recommend and will be returning! What was not to love!
- Meagan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Khoo (10/5): Great base for exploring Yarra Valley, look out for the Kangaroos! - We really loved the Sunset Cottage! It was cozy, beautiful, unique and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay during winter. In the first night especially, temperatures dipped below 0 degrees but we felt warm in the cottage.
The cottage is also situated close to the main street in Healesville, where all the supermarkets and eateries are. So very convenient for cooking or dining out. Just be on the look out for the kangaroo family living on the farm!
Special thanks to Pat and Neil for arranging a rollaway bed for my young daughter to sleep in, she slept well for the two nights :) Just a minor problem with the provided towels, not sure if it was due to the cold weather, but they were very hard for some reason.
- Matthew (9/5): Rustic charm, beautiful setting, relaxing stay. -
- Mora (10/5): Exceptional - The location is perfect, quiet, my kid loves to see rabbits and kangaroos. Offering breakfast it is a bonus, so we were ready to go have a good time after breakfast in a family in this cosy cottage. I can't think nothing that we didn't like it
- Vivian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachael (10/5): Perfect getaway. - Beautiful and unique getaway. The people that own it are extremely lovely and very thoughtful. I would recommend.
- Alice (10/5): Beautiful cottage, amazing view, excellent host - The sunset view from this cottage really is beautiful- even in the rain! It's cosy, well equipped and in a serene location, yet still very near to the main town. Pat is an excellent host, so accommodating and friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here.

- Aghilan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Poppy (9/5): Superb -
- Alicia (8/5): So loving and relaxing. Perfect location for us to stay with our hot air balloon ride booked in. Would definitely recomm - Loved it all! Especially loved the style. There wasnât anything that I didnât like, but it could be improved with a wood fireplace.
- Donnalem (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (9/5): Superb -
- Gemma (9/5): Cutest little cottage - The location was amazing nice and secluded but also close to the main parts of town. Pat and Neil were lovely hosts and the welcome visit was such a nice touch. They were so hospitable and it made our stay so much better. Nothing everything was amazing
- Helen (10/5): Beautiful retreat in one of Victoria's nicest regions. - Loved getting visited by the chickens every evening. We used the BBQ which was a luxurious touch. All the amenities were incredible, and the hosts were lovely. Can't wait to rebook.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Very enjoyable stay A bit dirty under and inside couch
- Roland (10/5): An idyllic cottage that delivered the perfect weekend getaway - ' Quirky ' is a term that can be seen as good or bad. In the case of Sunset Cottage it has only positive attributes. An unexpected little nook nestled a grape pip spit from Healesville with the Yarra Valley wineries on its doorstep. Comfortable and inviting - the hosts supplied bread , milk , fruit and copious coffee capsules. Sadly we were unable to entice the hens to leave us some eggs ! Could not fault anything.....
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - Quiet country side
- Ian (9/5): Superb - the recycled design and loci
- Ronda (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cottage, lovely hosts that were very thoughtful. Nothing
- Debbie (8/5): Enchanting Rural Experience - This was a great place to stay. Its set in a beautiful location with rural views. The cottage is beautifully designed and suits and makes the most of the setting. It is clean and there are lots of thoughtful touches; the owners have gone out of their way to make the stay a good experience and its a lovely space to stay, rustic but with all the modern cons. The walls between the two bedrooms are so thin that it was almost like being in the same room. We could hear everything each other said and had to be extra quiet so as not to wake each other in the morning. However, this was a minor issue given that everything else was so exceptional. It's just something to consider if you're wanting privacy in the bedroom.
- Julia (10/5): A little gem of a place in this area. - This is a lovely, quiet little hideaway that is close to shops and eateries in Healesville. It is a great base for travelling around the area. The cottage is well presented and comfortable. Itâs easy to feel calm and relaxed. Pat and Neil are wonderful hosts who genuinely want their guests to enjoy the stay. Great little gem in this area. Nothing!
- Hall (10/5): Exceptional -
- Irja (10/5): Exceptional - The location and style of the building. Nice touches everywhere. Welcoming host.
- Karin (9/5): Very cozy cottage with wonderful details. Loved it. -
- Andrew (10/5): Fabulous - "A getaway with a difference!" - An imaginative house with quality, distinctive furnishings, and a great view to boot!
The owners have gone to great trouble to consider a wide range of visitor needs, with many thoughtful, quality additions that go well beyond what's normally expected.
We enjoyed it thoroughly and would heartily recommend it to anyone.
A round of applause! :-)
- Vos (8/5): Great short stay venue for the Yarra Valley, so close to everything and a very quiet location - Very funky accomodation with great views and perfect location. Close to everything without being in the middle of everything. Very much appreciated the coffee making facilities including fresh milk as well as the delicous loaf of bread. Small item, an adiditonal comfy chair in the main area would have been great
- Gnahf (9/5): Lovely stay in Healesville - Very pretty, quiet. The accommodation is really cool, lots of great touches, thoughtful elements. So nicely restored, keeping charm but also very modern. Hosts were very friendly, great to have items such as toiletries in the shower, teas and coffees, bread for breakfast with spreads, milk etc. Little things go a long way. Fully kitted out so that you could stay there for a week or so easily. Cute private courtyard. Close to everything you need by car. I would definitely like to stay there again. It's only a tiny tiny thing but we did spend quite a bit of time in the cottage and the chairs in the living area weren't very comfortable. The sofa is pretty comfortable though!
- Woo (9/5): Superb -
