Guest Reviews
- Didier (10/5): - Séjour parfait, face un cadre en pleine nature, décoration des pièces pleines de goût.
Mossman n’est pas très animé le soir, mais il y a au moins deux petits restaurants. Rien.
- Gerda (10/5): Perfect accomodation - Lovely host family, marvellous breakfast, super informative, excellent location. Could not have asked for more. Highly recommended for couples, also oldies like us!
- edith (10/5): - La gentillesse des proprietaires
La vue depuis la terrasse. Splendide.
On se sent comme à la maison
La possibilité d avoir un take away breakfast Rien

I especially enjoyed the breakfast, with homemade spreads that were a thoughtful touch, and the breads were absolutely delicious. A wonderful, cozy experience overall! Nothing. It exceeded my expectations.

- Maggie (10/5): Great - The environment
- Margaret (7/5): Attractive shared spaces & forest setting - Nice bedroom, spacious shared living area & verandah, beautiful forest views, very good breakfast. Quite a few rules were communicated to us during our stay; most may be necessary but the process did affect our ability to feel relaxed.
It is possible to use a little electric BBQ but it takes a very, very long time to cook food. There is a cooktop in the shared living area but unfortunately we were not allowed to use that.
- Kerry (10/5): Exceptional - The host was delightful Very helpful. A lot of knowledge of the area.
The best homemade breaky
- Therese (10/5): Exceptional - Mandy and Chris were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, views to die for, unbelievable breakfast provided. Just a beautiful, clean peaceful place to relax, especially on the deck 🙏
- Carolyn (10/5): Perfect Daintree stay - Location, facilities, location. On first arrival it appears you are driving into a regular street on a regular road. The property is on the edge of the forest and you completely feel immersed in raintrees. Nothing
- Myo (9/5): A perfect stay - The accommodation exceeded my expectations-clean, comfortable and adorned with a delightful breakfast provided by the host. The host's friendliness and helpfulness added an extra layer of warmth to the entire experience. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning in the future.
- Veronica (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful hosts who made sure that we and the other guests were well informed about things to do in the area. Even drew maps for us! Room was clean and comfy and breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend.
- Julie (10/5): A perfect 3 night stay close to Mossman Goege and Port Douglas. - Spacious facilities outside of the room. A variety of seating areas inside and out. Overlooks fantastic rainforest grounds. Host makes a delicious breakfast which differs each day and includes fresh fruit, croissants or pancakes or danish, plus a selection of breads and jams. Nothing
- Susan (8/5): Beautiful location and kind Host. - beautiful house- you get the whole upstairs with a 2nd story balcony overlooking the tropical forest. Pool was relaxing and beautiful. Breakfast was good. As I was the only guest the host cook early for me. Would be nice to cook on the stove. Also once I rent a room I like it private but host came in and remade my bed and also moved my toiletries around.
- Ilio (10/5): A must stop in the rainforest of mossman gorge - Simply the best B&B we had during our visit in Australia. The rooms are lovely, like the rest of the house surrounded by a beautiful rainforest. The owner, Maggie, took really care of us offering a beautiful breakfast every morning beyond coming with suggestions and ideas for improving our touristic experience in Moosman Gorge. I would say a must stop if you have chance to cross this beautiful place. Truly and warmly recommended. Nothing! Just perfect!
- Andrew (10/5): Lovely surroundings, plenty of privacy and interesting informative hosts. - A wonderful breakfast of local produce served by Mandy
- Janet (10/5): Lovely home in the treetops. - An idyllic rural retreat in the tree canopy, with birds, bats, geckos, a perfect balcony to view them from and great hosts. Mandy served us a brilliant breakfast and we could help ourselves to tea/coffee etc. anytime. Parking outside the door, hot shower, comfy bed. Wonderful. We were a bit spoilt as we had the place to ourselves and loved everything.
- Ian (9/5): Superb - The ambiance and views were wonderful and the hosts welcoming and helpful. A very good breakfast as well. The bed was softer than I prefer.
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - Hosts were so friendly and very knowledgeable about the area, the history and the wildlife. A wonderful experience being able to have breakfast overlooking the rainforest. Will definitely be recommending to our friends and family!
- Kaye (9/5): Nice quiet option near Mossman gorge. - House has a kind of Bali vibe and is in a quiet pretty location. Breakfast with other guests was generous and convivial. Room bed shower all very good. There is a communal tv which was fine by us. Thai restaurant in town was good. If weather is bad during the day you can come and go as you like. Owners are on lower floor. These things didn't bother us but If you are self catering be aware there is only bbq and microwave. Beautiful floors so you need to go shoeless in the house.
- Lauren (10/5): Amazing stay! Highly recommend - Incredible stay! Chris was a fantastic host. The property was beautiful. Super clean, very homely, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed throughout our stay. The view from the balcony is exceptional and we loved staying right in the rainforest, listening to all the various nosies and watching the wildlife! The location is brilliant and only a short drive to the gorge and well located for exploring the coast and going up to Cape Trib or into Port Douglas where you can jump on a boat to explore the Great Barrier Reef. Highly recommend this place. Also the breakfast was delicious! Thank you for a brilliant and memorable stay!
- Hugh (10/5): We liked it. - We had a very nice stay at Mandy and Chris’ bed and breakfast. The location is just on the edge of the rainforest and convenient to many places but not in a busy area. Mandy was a great help at organizing our time in the area, and there is a lot to do between the rainforest and the water.
The highlight of breakfast on the patio deck was a variety of homemade jams that were very delicious. There is a beautiful view from the deck, including many birds to see.
We found Mossman Gorge was a great place from which to visit the general area, and this b&b was a terrific place to stay.

- Alejandra (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely hosts, great location and beautiful place
- Sara (9/5): Beautiful, clean property and wonderful hosts - Mandy and Chris were wonderful hosts. My room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had lots of natural light & air. The shared spaces in the house were wonderful - particularly the outdoor deck/breakfast area where you look right out onto the forest and all the local birds & fauna. Very peaceful and gorgeous stay. Mandy made delicious breakfast every morning and was super personable, kind, and informative in every other regard. I loved staying here nothing!

Very clean and multiple sitting areas indoors and outdoors. Breakfast of homemade pastries was delicious and the best tropical fruit salad I’ve ever had! There were 3 of us staying in one room and we could have used more hooks in our room to hang up damp towels/clothes. It’s not called the wet tropics for nothing haha.
