Guest Reviews
- Barnes (7/5): -
- Rebecca (8/5): - Children loved the garden, horses and little treats. Needs a bit of a dust in bedroom.
- maree (10/5): A perfect place to relax, unwind & get a good night's sleep during travels. All aspects excellent. - Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. Our hosts were helpful, friendly, interesting & knowledgeable. They went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant experience. Banjo (Kelpie) was lovable. Very comfortable beds. Beautiful areas in the premises to relax with nature. Highly recommendable. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Sarah (10/5): - Beautiful cottage
- Meates (10/5): We all enjoyed it immensely and there was 7 of us. Thankyou so much Wanda. You were very welcoming. - Absolute fabulous continental breakfast.
Everything was so lovely and we really enjoyed the washing service!! So so good after being on the Bibulmun Track and we were heading out again.
- George and Paula (2/5): Photos are very misleading - The surroundings, gardens, paths and river access was beautiful. Needed upkeep and more maintenance on all external areas, walls and windows. Dust throughout room and home, cobwebs, insects, cracks in walls, air-conditioner didn't work, lighting was very dim.
Breakfast cereal had insect eggs, stale, or out of date.
Mould in bathroom and tiling lifting.
Windows inside and outside haven't been cleaned in a long time. 4 poster bed curtains, window curtains, very dirty. Needs a total deep clean and new flooring, curtains and fixing damage.
- Kat (7/5): Beautifully vintage house - Wanda was a wonderful hostess. The house is vintage and the surroundings are stunning. There are lots of lovely little touches to room like fresh cake and Yorkshire tea! I was unable to get the AC working as it was a chilly night and I did not realise there was an electric blanket on the bed until I awoke after a broken nights sleep.

- Rob (10/5): Awesome, will stay again - Amazing place with great amenities, comfortable and quiet.
- Haenle (7/5): Für 1 Nacht ok - Sehr ruhig Das Zimmer war eigentlich ein Kinderzimmer, klein, kein Kleiderschrank, kein Stuhl - unbequem
- Shannen (10/5): Loved watching tv going to sleep and eating breakfast - The breakfast Nothing

- GeoffStew (8/5): Classically decorated, in house B&B room with a good DIY breakfast and everything you need - Beautifully decorated classic style, good sized room, with a comfortable bed and everything you needed. Great range of breakfast staples provided. Located in a lovely rural setting. Our room was inside the house, next to a living area used by the owner. No problem, as we were there only to sleep.

- Kim (10/5): -
- Gianluigi (8/5): Very accommodating hosts. Lovely dog Banjo - Quiet and peaceful NA
- John (6/5): Interesting part of the world but house and garden have seen better days - Breakfast continental cereals, fruit , toast preserves etc all supplied very good with complimentary biscuits &cakes cleaniness and steep stairs with no key for room
- Allan (10/5): Relaxing - The owners were polite and respectful, the decor in the room was quaint and. We loved the 4 poster bed.
Lots of off sweets and things to pick at even a carafe of port by the bed. A lot of thought went into the presentation of the room. It was tranquil walking out onto the balcony among the trees. All was well
- JUS (10/5): Absolutely perfect - This is as good as you’ll ever find. What a pure pleasure in every way.!!

- Olga (9/5): A wonderful, peaceful place with warm hospitality — we’d happily stay here again. - We really enjoyed our stay. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were cosy and clean, and the property itself is lovely — it was especially nice to see the horses, chickens, and peacocks around the grounds. There is plenty of parking, and both hot and cold water worked perfectly. A simple but pleasant breakfast is provided, which is enough to get you through the first part of the day. We had a great experience and would happily stay here again.

- Danika (5/5): We come to collie 5 times a year to work. We are up early and work lomg days. We need a good sleep! - Great location. Horses, chickens, a dog. I heard someone turn off my aircon at 9:30pm and i had the worst nights sleep. It was so hot the first half of the night. Google reviews show they have done that to other people in the past. They saved $3 on power that night but have lost thousands as we wont book there again!
- DEBRA (8/5): Comfortable for 1 night - Well equipped
Nice decor Big wolf spider sitting on outside of air conditioner

- Zhark (8/5): Enjoyed our stay and the host was delightful. Beautiful birds and a peacock made the venue delightful. The unusual creep - Secluded Was not aware it was a farm stay, although it was not a bother.

- Lana (7/5): Great comfortable stay - Wanda is lovely and very welcoming for Bibb track travellers. Comfortable stay, great warm shower and amazing variety of food and beverages for breakfast. It’s 4km outside of town, so get everything you need before you go to property. Wanda offered to drop me back at the Bibb track.

- Alan (1/5): We did not stay more than 10 minutes, disgusting - Nothing …. The room given to us was dirty, very dusty, numerous live spiders in bedroom and bathroom, to many spider webs to count on ceiling above bed and window frame, the proprietor has ignored all messages sent and does not answer calls so we walked out after 10 minutes and asked for a refund as room was unacceptable for us to stay in for 2 nights. So Whispering pines b&b has taken our $330 and kept it and now ignore our calls and messages.
Utterly disgraceful accommodation and zero service. See above……. Ripped off for our $330
No communication from them, will not answer calls or messages.
Luckily I was able to find alternative accommodation for the 2 nights as we were a 3 hour drive from home,
Collie is a lovely town to visit….
Just not Whispering pines .
- YUN (10/5): -
- Mark (8/5): Delighted by the cottage we stayed in. Had all we needed and more - Breakfast was great, good selection of cereals, fruit. Eggs from property were delicious on toast. We only stayed one night, should have stayed longer to explore the area
- Michael (7/5): -
- Sock (9/5): -
- Holiday (8/5): Enjoyed stay in quaint house and close to where we needed to be. -
- julie (1/5): Don't stay there - The location The smell of dirty cat smell greeted me at the door. The table in the kitchen was covered with crap and was not clean.
- Fiona (10/5): Highly recommended and host is very welcoming and warm - Host was very warm and rooms were beautifully decorated and breakfast was lovely in a very pretty setting overlooking the garden Nothing
- Mary (10/5): -
- Tania (5/5): -
- Brad (10/5): - The proprietors were very accomodating as I was on a cycling trip and I was dropped at a location to start my cycling trip from
- Carol (10/5): - The welcome of horses in the paddock, the dog, a beautiful peacock, the smell of fresh air and the bush. And of course our hosts Wanda and John.
The memory's of growing up on a farm. The old style of living. Came to mind. Very comfortable beds. Very clean. Breafast awaited us all set up in the share kitchen.
- Muhammad Arslan (4/5): Good but not Good - The extras in the fridge and kicthen stuff. The size of the room as well. Even though the dog was friendly but was a trouble to coming out of the room. It was a bit hot so air con was switched off in the middle of the night. The kitchen was using water tanks and that means no hot water as well.
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Pam (9/5): -
- Matthew (8/5): -
- Nic (9/5): Quiet, peaceful comfortable stay - The breakfast was lovely. All the little touches - cloth napkins and the Dutch coasters. They re-laid the fire while we were asleep. And the guard peacock. As interested in us as we were of it.
- callum (8/5): -
- Neil (10/5): Peaceful, comfortable and good host - Peaceful, comfortable and good host Nothing
- Deb (2/5): Not up to scratch - Location
The outdoor deck
The garden (but a lot of furniture was rusty and unusable) Someone else was in our room upon arrival (however, this was solved quickly)
It was very dusty and cluttered
Too small had 3 of us coming (we ended up just 2 of us)
The sofa bed fills up the living area and too much trouble to fold it up each day
The main host was quite rude to my support worker, who incidentally has had 30 years experience running her own accommodation and restaurant business
My support worker did a lot if cleaning!!!
- Brian (10/5): -
- Patricia (10/5): - Very homely B&B with complete privacy. Lots of treats for guests.
- Schwebel (10/5): -
- HIROYUKI (10/5): Wonderful - Very comfortable room and living. Very kind and warm owner. No
- Tommy (6/5): Pleasant but cold - Good breakfast, The room was very cold and the heater did not work.
The main relaxation room was also very cold, which forced us to go to bed at 9.00pm.
- John (10/5): - The homeliness and location and friendliness. Brilliant.
- Sarah (9/5): - Such lovely hosts, beautiful surroundings, warm log fire to relax in front of, very comfortable bedroom and lots of attention to detail. Plenty to eat at breakfast. Many thanks, looking forward to our next stay.
- Kee Hwang Catherine (8/5): -
- Akshaya (10/5): -
- Wittig (7/5): -
- David (8/5): -
- Jan (6/5): Quirky - It was quiet, quirky, lots of knick knacks had lots to choose from for breakfast. Could have been a little bit more attention to dust some hair in sink . Bit disappointed no pancakes as that was mentioned in reviews I saw.
- Dilushan (6/5): -
- Chris (10/5): -
- andrea (8/5): -
- felicia (10/5): -
- Emily Hill-Ogbonnaya (7/5): -
- Marie (10/5): Home away from home - The home feel, the small touches that make you feel welcome. Wanda made us feel so welcome. I would stay again.
- Christina (10/5): A hidden little Eden with easy check-in, great facilities and a home away from home. - Clean, cosy and great amenities. Nothing.
- Sebastian (9/5): - Charming location, surrounded by lush green
- Robyn (8/5): A little piece of paradise in our beautiful W A Bushland. - Rhonda thought of every little detail to make our stay comfortable and delightful. The setting of Whispering Pines is so beautiful and the building is so wonderfully, carefully decorated. The beautiful garden has been planted amongst nature and well maintained. It was nobody's fault that the weather turned on a blast of cold, wet air. However, we truly appreciated the electric blanket.
- Brenda (8/5): Very good - Cosy little cottage, pleasant rural/ farm outlook. Comfortable, good bed, nice linen. Selection of little treats to enjoy, good varieties of beverages and breakfast supplies.
- Brendan (5/5): Reasonable value for money but cleanliness of unit was not up to expectations - Location good, breakfast provided fair, lovely setting and gardens. Key to be able to lock unit was not provided, blood stains on bedding, bench and room cleanliness was not good. A little more time presenting property would improve our review. Thank you. We did enjoy your property apart from the above remarks.
- Tzu (10/5): Exceptional - Garden.
Good vibe.
- Therese (8/5): Very relaxed after a stay in the bush - Peaceful beautiful gardens Nothing
