- Yvonne (10/5): The cottage was beautifuly set up and the furniture was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. - I loved the entire property and the home was just beautiful. There wasn't any flyscreen doors, the flies and mosquitoes snuck in when the doors were opened.
- Olwyn (8/5): A peaceful night and a gorgeous sunrise. - Gorgeous location, beautifully clean and nicely decorated. The beds and pillows weren’t particularly comfortable

Loved the fresh bread and bacon and eggs left for us. That was a lovely touch we don’t normally get any breakfast left. There was nothing that you wouldn’t have liked, excellent place

- Paul (10/5): Wonderful experience so quiet and away from the noise of the traffic and town. - Wow! This property is a real retreat from the noise and congestion of the busy road north. It is a little way out of Keith about 5 km but worthwhile
It is set in a farmstead away from the main road and very peaceful and quiet. The joining instructions by the host was excellent although it would have been better had simple instructions as to how to locate the retreat from the town. We had sat nav in the car but we had difficulty engaging We were also out of wi-fi since we were oversees tourists and could not access google map.The breakfast food of eggs and bacon plus milk that was provided was well received We would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation We would have liked to have stayed longer but we had a schedule to keep to. Absolutely nothing !
- Krista (10/5): A lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. -
- Rita (10/5): - Unglaubliche Ruhe und tolle Natur, sehr ländlich. Bratpfanne war alt und Bratgut klebte. Könnte bei gelegenheit mal erwtzt werden. Aber für uns war war nebensächlich.

- Di (10/5): -

- Michelle (10/5): - The Lakehouse Retreat is an absolute gem. The cottage was spotlessly clean, had all amenities you would need in a cottage for an overnight stay, and the personal touches including flowers, home made bread / jams / sauce, candles to burn, and a ready to light fire made my stay more like a retreat than a business stay.
- Peacock (10/5): Perfect place to break up our journey home. - Well equipped, comfy pillows and beds, lovely towels, fantastic breakfast. Highly recommended!
- bruce mair (10/5): sensational place to stay -
- Jankees (9/5): beautiful country cottage for when you really want to relax! - This is a beautiful cottage in a very nice setting For anyone who wants to break the journey from Adelaide to Coonawarra, or mt Gambier, this is your spot! Nicely appointed, clean, very quiet, surrounded by birds. 10 minutes to Keith. Golf course close by. Nothing about the cottage, it is perfect. The location is fairly isolated and there is not that much to do around Keith. So, perfect for a couple of relaxing days with a couple of walks, books etc
- JEFFREY (10/5): -
- elizabeth (10/5): Brilliant, slept like babies! - Everything.. clean, comfy and good breakfast supplies. Owner went above and beyond to return a misplaced item. Peaceful and lovely location Nil

- Ken (10/5): - Beautifully decorated in a delightful setting
- Cheryl (10/5): Gorgeous - Beautiful little cottage in a tranquil location. The hosts have thought of everything, absolutely everything that you may need for your stay. Ideal for both couples and families. Beds were lovely and comfortable. It would be lovely in the colder months with the fire going. Would have loved to have spent longer than the one night we had booked.
Would definitely book again.

- Flos (10/5): Beth, the owner is very easy to communicate with, so all round a GREAT stay. - Peaceful.
Beautiful outlook. Large property.
Super clean.
2 separate toilets, easy access.
Only 5 min out of Keith, and easy to find.
Genuine Free Range Lakehouse eggs :)
By request, our dog was welcomed too, which always makes travelling far less stressful.
Fireplace- we didn’t use it , as it wasn’t cold enough to warrant lighting it , but it was all set ready to go.
- Nadine (9/5): An idyllic place - Lake house Retreat - What a magical place this is, set by a lake in the countryside. We stayed for 1 night as part of our road trip to Melbourne.
The house was comfortably furnished, a warm fire and beautiful outlook, and we saw a double rainbow.
We had no problems cooking dinner in the kitchen and then settling in for the night.
On opening the curtains the next morning we were greeted by the sight of ducks and ducklings and a morning mist over the lake.
Beth had provided us with delicious breakfast provisions - bacon, fresh eggs and homemade bread, a good start to another long day on the road.
This place is so pretty, and perfect to rest up and relax. Nothing
- David (9/5): Excellent - Breakfast provisions were great. Open fire was set up ready to go. Ambience and view over the dam was lovely.
- Margaret (10/5): A great stay & would highly recommend it to anyone - The view was wonderful, home made bread was a winner, quiet, relaxing stay The bed was small in comparison to our own, but lovely linen & warm enough
- michelle (9/5): Relaxing and peaceful -
- David (10/5): -
- Vicky (10/5): Lovely stay in relaxing setting - The house is very clean and comfortable, and it was nice to have the car undercover
- Nanette (10/5): A one night stop over on our return home from South Australia. - The surroundings were beautiful Nothing
- Janette (8/5): A charming cottage with character that made a great place to overnight during our journey - A lovely quiet retreat conveniently located to break the journey between Melbourne and Adelaide. Great communication from the host and the warm fresh bread that greeted us on arrival was a delight. The breakfast supplies in the fridge were enjoyed by all The bunk beds were a little noisy, so our son who moves a lot did not get the best nights sleep
- Bell (8/5): Beautiful scenery, gorgeous cottage, (great company but you weren't responsible for that lol) - The eggs were lovely and fresh, the bacon was delish (duh - its bacon! how can it not be) and the bread was delicious
Loved the wood fire - so cosy.
But it was a beautiful experience, my partner travelled for work.
comfortable bed, very homey and beautiful surrounds.
Look forwards to our next stay there.
thank you the bathroom mirror light didn't work, nor did the rangehood light, but that was a very minor blip.
- Greg (8/5): -
- Natasha (10/5): - Beautiful location, extremely clean, cozy.
Great communication from the owner. Beautiful breakfast supplied.
- Peter (9/5): -
- Patricia (8/5): A very picturesque cottage. - A beautiful place to stay. A delicious generous breakfast. So much bird life to welcome in the day. A very picturesque spot. It was rather chilly. Could really do with a backup heater in the main room which contained the living room, kitchen and queen bed. The wood heater struggled to heat the large area. It was 4⁰ and certainly felt like it. A spectacular white frost to welcome in the day.
- Michael (10/5): Lovely place overnight stay when travelling from Melbourne to Adelaide - Location. Beautiful decor in cottage
- Terry (9/5): Great place for stop over with nice surrounds - Great location for our purpose. Neat and clean Nothing I can think of
- Donald (10/5): One of the best overnight stays we've ever booked! - Electronic communication with the owner was thorough and I liked that she got the log fire going prior to our arrival. This meant that, after a long drive from Melbourne on a cold winter day, we stepped into a warm and very cosy environment. Also, the included breakfast was excellent and the property is in a visually stunning location.
- Andrew (10/5): Excellent choice if you need to stay in Keith. I wish we knew about it sooner. - The Lakehouse Retreat is a gem. It had everything we would want in a quick stay. Under cover parking, well appointed kitchen, comfortable bed, air conditioning and a wood fire, quiet and with a delightful outlook. Nothing really
- Kenneth (10/5): Peaceful and comfortable country retreat to refresh the soul - Peaceful and quiet spot with plenty of birdlife that frequent the lake that the house is next to. Really enjoyed listening to their songs and chirping in the evening and morning. Also lovely touches by the owner to provide bread, bacon, fresh eggs, homemade jam and butter for breakfast. Would love to visit again. Lake was low this time of year and the view not as appealing but still very picturesque.
- Quilty (10/5): Peaceful - Great location, fire was beautiful. A freshly-baked loaf was awaiting us.
- Maxine (9/5): Lovely, comfortable stop over with extra special touches like the fresh bread, still warm on arrival - Lovely freshly baked bread, eggs and bacon for breakfast

- Barry (9/5): We enjoyed our stay, and would have have loved to stay longer. Maybe next time…. - The property is lakeside and private. The furnishings are what we liked, gave as a cosy country feeling. Everything we needed was there. Beth also provided bread ( which she baked herself), and other breakfast items, which we appreciate very much. The weather was chilly and we did use the air conditioning and the fireplace, but it was still a little too chilly. Not a big issue.
- Chris (10/5): A perfect stay - This place was perfect I wished we could stay longer. Will use it again and highly recommend it. Everything

The place was clean and beautifully decorated and enjoyed the wood fire. Beth provided the breakfast including the home baked bread that was a great touch. Nothing comes to our mind.
