Guest Reviews
- Darly (8/5): - Good attractions
- Lisa (5/5): - Cheap Run-down
- William (8/5): - amazing view small room
- Reuben (5/5): -
- Stephen (3/5): When windy it whistles and keeps you awake , over priced for what you get also no tea bags and bugger all sugar - Great view Dirty could see the dust on the floor , behind the stairwell had dead bugs, room 6 has dog door and hall light shines through
- Romika (10/5): Excellent views of Hobart, close to town. Owners very friendly and accommodating to any changes. - Loved the view! How clean it was and how all the other guests were friendly. Unfortunately the hot tub was broken đ
- Makenna (4/5): - Location The staff were very rude. Check in was at 2pm, we got there at 3 and got told the room wasnât ready, it would take 20-30 minutes. We came back 1.5 hours later to a staff member sitting in our room on his phone, room still was not ready.
- Glenn (8/5): - Excellent location, beautiful views and outstanding building. I was certainly not expecting such a great place to stay. I had terrible trouble locating the keys. When I called the supplied phone number, he was less than helpful. To this day I have still never received the email or Booking message telling me the code to access the keys. Luckily another guest spotted a different phone number on the window. We called that and were eventually provided with a code via SMS. Another guest had the same experience. It took both myself and them more than an hour to gain access.
- William (7/5): -
- Tarj (10/5): Walking upstairs to a nice overview of Hobart was amazing, my room was nice and cozy and everything was incredibly clean - Upstairs had an unreal view and the beds were so comfy There wasnât anything not to like, it was great!
- Philippa (3/5): -
- Kim (9/5): A comfortable, incredible stay with 180 degree view of Hobart. - The view and open kitchen/ lounge.
- Joy (4/5): The stay was not as we expected but it was sufficient for a night - The view was good It was unclear what facilities and products I.e. soap milk coffee, were shared or belong to someone. Only one shower. It was basically a share house
- KARLOS (5/5): - Itâs clean and very nice staff are rude
- Karolina (5/5): Would not recommend for families - Nice villa and view The host was very rude. I would not book this place again because of him. When I needed help, he hung up on me, and when he came to the property during the day, he didnât even say âhiâ to anyone. I later spoke with other guests who had the same horrible experience
- Bishnu (5/5): -
- Kalil (1/5): Disappointed and sad - The only good thing about this stay was that there were 4 walls and a roof over our heads. The view was nice too but just not worth the overall experience. To start off the check-in process was bad, we were provided a email that told us the lock key box code for our key and the WiFi password, there were 6 key box's and no indication what is for where and had to just try them all. We had to call the provided number for assistance to figuring out what room we booked as the email didn't specify, and the staff was rude and unhelpful just telling me I was wrong and to read the email. After giving up and simply trying the key on all the doors we found our spot. Inside we found unwashed dishes, a TV that didn't work and no ventilation at all. We also found two Tasmanian ticks in our room on the first night.
All round bad experience and a waste of money, don't bother saving the extra 100 that you would have spent on a hotel, a youth hostel would have been better.
- Marisa (10/5): Been to a lot of places but will never forget this one. Beat any Sydney view. - The views were out of this world. Breathtaking.
- Jenna (4/5): -
- Alison (8/5): -
- Max (1/5): Very disappointed. Was advertised as ground unit but the kitchen was upstairs which I couldnât access due to health reas - The view The room wasnât clean, the bed wasnât changed, the rubbish bin wasnât empty. The kitchen was shared and dirty
- Gregory (5/5): - Light not working in the room. Booking staff abrupt in phone manner.
- Bishnu (5/5): -
- Peter (8/5): It more than met my expectations - I loved the view - it was clean and perfect for my stay . Bed was comfortable and the shower was great . I would like these comments to be seen as having a very minor impact on my stay - vent in the bathroom is loose , light switch on the right hand side of the bed has been damaged and is loose . I would have liked there to be a fridge and some drinking glasses . I would prefer if these comments weren't for public display - as this location more than satisfied my expectations .
- Andrew (10/5): - The view and location They ran out of tea bags
- Rachel (10/5): - The View it was out of this world, The Feel of the Place was really homelike and you could for a moment feel like you was living the high life of the rich and famous đ. I loved the shower and court yard Privacy. Nothing really.
- Ada (1/5): We did not end up staying after seeing the place in person and had to book alternative accommodation - Only good thing was the view The facilities were not up to standard, including faulty bathroom doors which you could only open with the help of a second person meaning you got locked inside as well as a wet bed and un-vacuumed carpet.
- Shaun (4/5): -
- Shrestha (9/5): - Great location. The owner gave us a complementary room, very thankful for that.
- Rodney (8/5): -
- Kay (7/5): -
- Simon (10/5): -
- Choo (3/5): - Location No air condition and a convert garage for a bed room
- O'mahony (5/5): Overall nice rooms and pleasant shame partying neighbours tarnished our stay - Rooms was large with modern appliances and fixtures People in the other rooms was making a lot of noise til 2:30 am until I intervened
- Md Firoz (7/5): - Location/ view is awesome. Everything is good. I recommend it for others. Store food at kitchen is not safe. Other guys eat/stole my food from fridge.
- Elijah (10/5): Will be back - View over Hobart is spectacular. Facilities were extremely clean and provided everything to be able to cook. Bathrooms extremely large and clean. Amazing value for price.
- Harry (1/5): -
- Dragonslayer (4/5): Dissapointing, lack of amenities for the price. - The key lock box was confusing, there were multiple unlabeled boxes. I was sent 2 contradictory codes. No fridge or glasses/cups. I was not told ablutions were shared like a dorm
- Hanna (7/5): -
- Karen (4/5): -
- Megan (5/5): -
- Michael (3/5): Disappointing - Bed
Great views mostly It appears a to be a fire trap. The front door - if locked cannot be opened from the inside !!!
I could not get a refund when circle stances changed.
If mobile phone is low charged it is difficult to gain entry.
Lighting to access entry key is too dim.
TV is not connected to free-to-air.
No jug etc on lower floor.
Shared toilet also bathroom would be inadequate if fully booked.
âUpgradedâ room did not have view & original room had defective electrics.
Hall lighting disturbed another occupant.
No instructions on anything.
Modern but poorly thought through.
No residents manager.
EtcâŚ
- Carolyn (4/5): Please don't assume you will get the whole house to yourself - The house is in a really good location, very close drive to the CBD and anything you need and there is a super cute cafe down the hill. The view from upstairs was actually really stunning with a balcony you could sit out on, and the lounge and kitchen area are very spacious. We were not expecting to share the house with other people. On the host information on the booking page, it clearly states that they will not be subletting the rooms anymore and that they only offer to whole guests. We were horrified to find out that every room had been booked out the evening that we stayed, and even overheard the other guests had no idea as well. There is one share bathroom with a shower on the ground floor, luckily one of the rooms we had booked had an ensuite so we all used that one. My friend who got a room upstairs, told me that the lights did not work, there was only a bedside lamp, also that the upstairs toilet door would not close properly and was very difficult to open back up. There was a terrible smell coming from the toilets on the ground floor (unsure if this was just from people using it), the spa was also dirty (again possibly from one of the other guests using it). The cheap price really wasn't worth having to share a living space with strangers.
- Stuart (8/5): -
- Rob (10/5): Lovely - Great location, very nice place. Great views of Hobart Nothing...all was good
- Rydawg151515 (7/5): -
- PRABHJOT (9/5): -
- Caleb (7/5): - The view was excellent The bins were nearly full when we arrived. We had to take some of our own trash with us. There is not a hot tub, but a spa bath inside. The faucet in the upstairs toilet room was faulty.
- Omar (1/5): Horrible expericne at a good property - we stayed here, the view is great, and the property is good. However, we had 40-50 teenagers come in to the property and ruined our night completely. The police was called and there was alcohol, abuse, blood everywhere. my kids were terrified. When we asked the owner to refund, he simply refused and blamed it on the other tenant they booked. They should use their insurance and provide these refunds for such a terrifying incident, as our kids were left in shock.
- Nellie Kurapai (10/5): -
- Heidi (1/5): -
- Maureen (1/5): -
- Zack (10/5): -
- Adikelana (7/5): nice house but need maintenance - Excellent location and nice house need more maitanance, the toaster and ketel need to be replaced . Some minor Maintenance need to be dosen. A nice house but need maintenance
- Tom (1/5): Terrible, won't be back - Teenage entered the building and made noise, around 40-50, even police came in, very horrible experience, can't sleep after midnight, won't be back anymore. Teenage entered the building and made noise, around 40-50, even police came in, very horrible experience, can't sleep after midnight, won't be back anymore.
- Sarita (5/5): Bed sheet not changed and noise all over night upstairs - Noise and bad other guest
- Ma Cristina (10/5): We had a very good stay and we really enjoyed the view and the spacious house, and comfortable beds. - The view is exceptional. The location is great and the house is really good for big group. When we came, the house isnât vacuum well, I have to sweep the floors in the kitchen and dining area. The door in the toilet almost lock my niece from the inside as it was difficult to open. Housekeeping wise, it needs a bit of improvement.
- sarah (10/5): -
- Jimmy (8/5): An accommodation with good view and privacy but don't forget to close the curtain - I love the view . The view is exactly the same with the one you showed . The night scene was beautiful too but I didn't have a good camera . My room is different from the one you showed but it is still good . You may say it is not close to the Hobart CBD . You may need to call a cab . I couldn't find any light except a desk lamp .
- van dyk (9/5): -
- Martin (8/5): - Location was very quiet and close to the city. Comfortable bed and good shower. Minor grumble that room wasn't ready even though we'd received text to say it was. Area is very hilly if you have mobility issues. But can't fault the property.
- Archer (1/5): Waste of money - Nothing they âforgot to mentionâ it was a sharehouse and we would be there with multiple other people Everything it sucked
âJacuzziâ was a bathtub that the hot water didnât work in, the tap was broken the plug didnât work and the blowers didnât work it was basically a bathtub that didnât hold water
- Sayle (5/5): -
- Maria (1/5): Extremely disappointing stay with false advertising, unclean facilities & felt unsafe. Waste of money & owners n - View Property did not state it was shared accommodation (with 5 other rooms). Upon arrival other guests arrived and were also completely unaware & disappointed in their room! . Not clean, beds were itchy (in between the sheets). Toilet door couldnât open and close properly (got stuck)!! No hand towels in upstairs toilet, no toilet roll holder, clearly missing items off the bottom of tv in lounge area (exposed cables). At 11pm someone came around to our bedroom window/sliding door and were looking inside and we were unable to know if they were a guest or intruder!! Front door was clearly left open when we left at 7am the following morning as we didnât want to stay a moment longer!! .
- Robert (5/5): A lot of false advertising on there website - The bath Other people taking your things out of the fridge the tv not working properly
- walker (4/5): Our food and private property were stolen - Most definitely the view and location The shared areas
- Adrian (9/5): Great price for the value, one of best Hobart views from the living room. - The place is well located, easy to access, and communication with the owners was totally clear and fast. The Hobart stunning views from the living room are one of the memories that I'll bring with me forever. I don't have nothing to say or don't like about the property, according to the price and location.
- Peter (8/5): In short, well-appointed premises with good kitchen facilities. - No breakfast was supplied but there were very good cooking facilities and we prepared our own breakfast. A compendium or similar would have been very helpful. For example, once the bedroom lights were turned off, there was one light in the that illuminated softly for a period of time then turned off. This continually repeated and there were no instructions on how to disable this feature.
- Nadia (4/5): - Was clean and nice I paid for a room that had spa use. But U cldnt use it because there was no plug. Another quest told me they just shove a hand towel in the plug hole. How unhygienic
.
Also the internet didn't even work. So U couldn't watch nexflix or use the smart tv. The free to air channels glitched
- Federico (4/5): -
- Paige (4/5): -
- Ericka (9/5): -
- Jacinta (7/5): -
- Kaine (1/5): Terrible! Steer clear please - Modern home, decent location Wasnât advertised as a shared house, booked entire holiday home and someone was staying in the front self contained flat that wasnât disclosed and had access to the house. Surprised us when they walked in. Leaking sewer and human waste all over the rear yard. Place was grubby and let go. Not worth the money. Owner and manager are rude and just let themselves in. Very bad experience
- Colin (3/5): Nonexistent staff. Lack of facilities and poor maintenance. A posh (but tired)backpackers with a fabulous view - Sensational view Shared facilities. I didnât read the fine print. To me it read like the deluxe room had its own shower and toilet. Broken window blind, dodgy toilet door. No hot water and dodgy plug in upstairs âbathroomâ . Lights not working in common room
- Samuel (10/5): Wish i could stay here permanently - View Nothing
- Karen (8/5): -
