Guest Reviews
- Tonion (9/5): -
- Samone (5/5): Would have been a great stay if the host had left us alone to enjoy the peace. - Loves: the animals, the artesian baths, the spa and the fairy lights around the dinner area. The male host was drinking and stayed around where we were all afternoon - he made us feel very uncomfortable and intimidated.
- Jacinda (7/5): -
- Melanie (10/5): Off the beaten track and we loved that! - The hosts were really friendly and accommodating, dinner was delicious and we all loved the interaction with the dark animals. I loved the soak in the artesian hot water spa. Heaven after long days on the road.
- Erica (8/5): - Easy check in. Self contained unit with laundry, shower, toilet. More cooking equipment than expected. Some board games available. Delicious breakfast included. Meals are available although we didn't take advantage of this. Able to park right by room. Light coming through glass louvres from next room. A small issue but the only thing I would change.
- Rikki (10/5): A comforting retreat in the middle of the outback, we thoroughly enjoyed our time and will definitely return! - We had a great stay with Georgi and Eric, loved switching off and enjoying the slower simpler time we were there. The naturally heated water was soooo comforting, we used the hot tub but would love to use the baths on another visit. Their animals are awesome to be around, our 4 year old had the best time and seems to think she also also seen a unicorn while she was here 😂
The room was well appointed and comfortable and Georgi’s dinner and breakfasts were polished off by everyone! Try the goat curry, it’s awesome!!
- BenB7 (10/5): Amazing Farm Stay Experience - The whole farm stay experience was amazing for a 1 night stay for us - from the dip in the hot tub under the stars, sitting around the campfire, children patting a bunch of wildlife at the property is a must do and the studio room was cozy and had all the essentials you need. Georgi & Eric is an amazing host, so accomodating and ensured everything's okay for us. Nothing really.
- George (6/5): -
- Mcclellan (9/5): Superb - Unique experience and very nice place to disconnect from digital vices to enjoy the starry skies and warm fire pit. No complaints.
- Reg (10/5): Wonderful remote experience - A wonderful place to stay, our hosts Georgi and Eric could not do enough to make us welcome. The room was very comfortable, the Spa was full of 37 degree Artesian bore water, the animals all greeted us as well. Lovely home cooked dinner (extra cost) and a scrambled eggs and toast breakfast was included which we enjoyed outside in the morning sunshine. If you want 5 star lodgings, this may not be for you, but, if you want genuine hospitality and a rustic experience, this is it. Sorry we could not stay longer. Nothing
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - Very authentic outback farm stay.
The animals are free to roam and are so happy and friendly. Can pat a cow, a pig, a dog, chooks.
We heard about what impact the drought and floods have on rural life.
Was lovely to have a camp fire and a home cooked meal.
Artesian hot tub was so beautiful and relaxing.
Gorgie and Eric doing a great job keeping everything running in difficult times.
Was lovely chatting to other campers and sharing travel stories. There was a little influx of beetles but that's country life. They didn't fly or bite and so just a part of the outback experience.
- Josephine (5/5): Lots of animals but not a farm - The breakfast was simple but nicely made. The whole place felt quite run down and uncared, for especially for the price we paid, with animals free range everywhere. We were also unlucky to be there during a gidgee bug plague with insects inside and out. The photos did not accurately reflect the state of the property.
I didn’t like having to drink the artesian bore water.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Rustic, homely and very co
Fortable
- Adam (9/5): Superb -
- Maddy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Iris (8/5): Great stay at lovely outback farm - Great stay at a lovely small farm. Loved the campfire with Millie the cow. We had fun and nice conversations with the owners including a very nice dinner. Georgi and Erik were more than happy to tell us about their time on the farm and the history of Nelia and surroundings. Enjoyed the artesian hot tub at night. And had a lovely morning with a freshly cooked breakie in a sunny spot sheltered from the wind with a nice outback view. Lots of animals around which we really enjoyed. Just before we left a wallaby family came to visit, and also a gentle female Red roo which we gave a little snack. Will be back again when we head west :)
- Nina (10/5): Exceptional - We loved out stay at Corella Creek. Georgi and Eric are wonderful hosts. The hot tub under the trees is such a nice way to end the day, the cabin is spacious and really comfy and there is everything you need in the room. There are lots of little extras like bath robes in the room which made the stay extra special. The animals are so much fun! We stayed with our dog and he had a ball meeting goats and cows for the first time. We will definitely stay here again.
- Sharlene (10/5): Highly recommend for a night on a farm. Kids will love it. Will definitely stay again. - Great authentic farm stay property that is not far off the highway. Hosts were amazing and the animals were the extra bonus. We stayed in the farm house with two rooms in the house and it was plenty of room for our family of 4. Food was amazing. Fire pit at night eating desert with the animals before bed was the perfect end to the evening. And the kids loved feeding the baby kangaroos and goats in the morning. Our family enjoyed everything about the stay.
- De (9/5): Superb - The owners were very friendly, the room exactly as in the photos. The food was excellent.
- Derek (5/5): Disappointing due to misleading advertising of facilities and amenities, meals etc. - Comfortable bed. Air conditioning. Interacting with animals. Grounds untidy, no signage, over priced meals and not to a good standard. I would strongly recommend ensuring that pets are properly managed and that cleanliness of grounds is prioritised for future guests.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Georgi was a fantastic host. Very communicative, thoughtful and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! Nothing!
- David (10/5): Excellent, very relaxing stay. - Friendly staff ,great meals good old country hospitality.would highly recommend.
- Melissa (1/5): No refund despite their fault of double booking - Booked the farm stay but was double booked so they have booked me into their other accommodation in town. This was not discussed prior with me and was a totally different experience to the farm stay. I asked to cancel and get a refund which was agreed to, am yet to receive agreed refund. Was booked into other accommodation by hosts after being double booked
- Joe (9/5): Very enjoyable experience staying here with great food as well - We loved the location of the property; it was peaceful and the animals on site made the experience of staying here more wholesome. Our hosts were very nice with great conversations and beautiful food. The property was rustic and we felt that added to the charm of the place. The artisan water was also very relaxing after a big day of driving
- Jacaline (9/5): Superb - Georgi and Eric are super nice. We love the farm animals. Georgi is so nice that she even let us feed the small kangaroos and let my son pet the chick.. Her cooking is also yummy. We got a nice dinner and breakfast. The room is a bit dusty. Maybe it is not the traveling season
- Dave (10/5): Fantastic spot to stop on our travels through Queensland. - Georgi & Eric were great hosts & made us feel at home, much like catching up with old friends.
The facilities and room were fantastic and the food was exceptional.
Loved the rustic farm atmosphere and all the animals 👍 Nothing
- Candice (9/5): Superb - We enjoyed our stay immensely! We will definitely be back!
- Christine (9/5): Superb -
- Donald (9/5): Superb -
- Isobel (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff, nice & peaceful, dog friendly & lots of beautiful animals.
- Sandra (10/5): A very relaxing spot to stay for a few days. - We stayed in the cabin for three nights and after travelling for five weeks this was a very relaxing stay. The artesian spa outside under the trees, the camp fire at night and the various animals were delightful. The cabin had it's own laundry and kitchenette which made life on the road very easy. Our hosts were friendly but not in your face and we enjoyed our chats with them. Nothing.
- Chris (8/5): Very good - It's a great place to stay while travelling.
- Carol (7/5): Very authentic outback experience! - Very authentic outback experience! Georgie and Eric were great hosts.
Georgie has put a lot of thought in to making the cabin comfortable. The bathroom had a fabulous shower! Excellent free laundry.
Loved the campfire with all the animals especially the cow!
The location was remote and unique. Loved the vast open space which was perfect for viewing sunrises and sunsets. The night sky was sensational! Unfortunately there were lots of rats at night because of a current rat plague in the whole area.
Lots of swearing around the campfire which may not suit everyone.
- Agnes (7/5): Lovely rustic and country authentic vibe - Rustic and country feel Can’t lock the toilet from the inside
- Chris (8/5): A great overnight accommodation and pet friendly with great meals. - Dinner was excellent.
Pet friendly. The directions as the address wasn’t in my gps.
- Hugues (9/5): Unforgettable ! - Animals and farm lovers this is the place!
Great host, interesting venue and good food The cold weather !
- Jenkins (8/5): Very good - Quirky place. All sorts of farm animals.
Beautiful food.
Georgi great cook. Nothing
- Laura (9/5): Superb - Loved all the animals and thermal bath/spa. The cabin was cosy and comfortable! The only thing we could fault was the amount of bugs out in the evening, but that’s the outback for you! I
- Danielle (9/5): Superb -
- Steph (8/5): What a place! - We loved the experience of staying here, so much character between the place itself, the hosts, and the animals. Definitely a stay we loved and will remember! The goats were a little noisy over night around our cabin, it would be great if there was some fencing to keep them off the building.
- Maree (9/5): It was great having access to the artesian bath after a long day of driving. - The animals were a big hit with our kids. Thank you! Would have been a little better off with sign posts indicating where to park for each room available as it was a little confusing where to go.
- Mirko (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monica (8/5): Wonderful location, lovely hosts, great breakfast - The breakfast was amazing! Would be good to come back in the season
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Bridget (9/5): Corolla Creek - We had so much fun. The animals were friendly. The artesian water tub was terrific. No signs on the highway to show where to go.
- Kate (8/5): Charming idiosyncratic country stay - Very eccentric and charming place. We stayed in the cabin which was good. They have had a tough time with floods etc so the area around the camp-site was untidy but didn't impact the central space. Fire at night with everyone sitting around was great, enhanced by the Brahman cow joining us. Don't expect sophistication but if you like warm hearted idiosyncratic hospitality then it's a great place. Do try the optional meals - delicious. All the slight negatives just added to the place.
- Neil (8/5): memorable stop off, good food and host and a little quirky but in a good way ..go with a open mind! - a unique real outback regional experience and great to appreciate the history.
5 liked the interactions with the animals as the meandered around the house, Also a good chance to unwind after a long drive
- Alet (10/5): Relaxing - It was quiet and we could really see the stars. The supper Georgi made was perfect. The animals were entertaining. My kids really enjoyed the dog.
- Lisa (10/5): Don’t let your first glance deceive you, this place is a hidden gem. - Breakfast was delicious. Nothing better than farm fresh eggs. Our evening meals were of a very high standard and amazing quality out in the middle of nowhere. There was nothing we didn’t like, we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere amongst the farm animals.
- Cheryl (8/5): Very good -
- Bembridge (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenni (8/5): A unique enjoyable Outback experience - A unique Outback experience with very hospitable hosts. The outdoor spa was heavenly - so relaxing. We had a lovely long soak with wine in hand watching the sun go down. Our dinner was absolutely delicious, as was breakfast. I have never before met a cow who enjoys sitting by a campfire! Our bed was very comfy and we loved being able to have our little dog with us. The flood damage was evident, however, Georgi and Eric have created a beautiful outback experience.
- Lubin (10/5): Lovely stay and we will be back for sure - Such a lovely place to stay
kids love it so much
- Timothy (9/5): Superb -
- Maddy (8/5): good but we weren’t prepared - heaps of animals felt like wolf creek when we pulled up. got chased by a goat
- Rodney (8/5): Very good - Thank you so much for the most incredible farm stay. We both absolutely loved it and we can't wait to come back soon! We loved how there was so much to do but also the option to chill and do nothing, perfect! Was great and had lots of fun , food was good and host are really friendly, would recommend it to family and friends
- Karl (10/5): Very chilled, peaceful, resting and relaxing - We loved the peaceful outback, relaxing atmosphere.
Loved the artesian hot tubs in the open under the stars, the comedic animal.
Georgi cooked a beautiful dinner.
- Stef (10/5): This was a great spot to chill out for a couple of days - such a relaxing break on a on-the-go holiday. - Relaxed. Lots of room. Farm animals were beautiful. n/a
- Denice (8/5): Very good -
- Shilpantha (9/5): Superb -
- Brenda (7/5): If you are looking for a very rustic stay with very real people…. this is for you. Georgie cooks a lovely dinner and our - It is fun for animal and bird lovers Getting in and out the door of our room . They were quite steep steps. The shower was a bit cool, but these are small things.
- Bobby (10/5): My wife and I would come back any day - The animals around the place, especially the goats playing around everyone Didn't find anything fault at all
