- Richard (10/5): A Unique Experience and Amazing Host - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lodge is a very unique and special place with extensive grounds and a lake. Kim was a very kind and attentive host, and we had a nice chat on the evening of our stay in the amazing 'kitchen diner' probably the largest and most well equipped facility we have ever seen. It was really interesting to learn about the history of the lodge and Kim's experience during the 2009 bushfires, and the subsequent regeneration. We enjoyed the communal breakfast and Kim kindly helped us to plan our road trip for the day. The rooms were perfect, comfortable and well equipped, with a view. Highly recommended. Not being able to stay for longer.

- Siting (9/5): Superb -
- Garrett (9/5): Tranquil and Inviting Stay - The Saladin Lodge is an incredibly beautiful property sited at the edge of the Yarra Ranges. Kim, the owner and host, was so hospitable and accommodating. She made check-in easy and went out of her way to provide guidance on local hikes and attractions as well as inform us of the lodge’s history. Nothing!
- Senthilnathan (9/5): Superb -
- Traycie (10/5): Exceptional - Kim is an amazing host. She couldn't do enough to help us enjoy our stay. One of the best stays and hosts I've come across
- Bencold77 (10/5): Exceptional - Scenario and facilities were amazing A bit far from amenities
- Benjamin (10/5): Cosy, picturesque, romantic get aqwaya - Kim was a great host! Very easy to contact after booking and for some questions regarding checking in. Very friendly when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. The property is beautiful and cosy. The fireplaces in the lounge area are a great touch. The room was clean and comfy and had a great view outside. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained and we went for a little walk to check out the lake, the hill behind the property and the horses in the paddock. Quiet location not far from Marysville which we would stay at again!
- Claire (10/5): great stay at Saladin lodge - the property is set on acreage and the building is a two storey affair.bedrooms are on the ground floor and a reading room/conference area is on the top floor.wide open lounge/dining is fantastic with lovely wood heating.Kim is fantastic and cooked a delicious brekky.room was very comfy.bed very comfortable and little outside terrace.lovely bathroom with walk in shower.didn’t use the wifi.a lovely walking track by the lake and around the property.nice and quiet and would love to stay again.many thanks Kim. absolutely nothing.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suzanne (10/5): An friendly oasis in the woods - Meeting with Kim, the hostess with the mostess, was a little like catching up with an old friend from uni.
She could not have done more to make our stay more comfy. There was a music night happening on the night we arrived, so she moved us into to the barn so we would not be disturbed by the noise, invited us to the night (which was amazing) and then cooked us a hearty breakfast the next day. It made an otherwise short get away so much more than that.
Thanks Kim, looking forward to a longer stay. We could have stayed longer!
- Anmeet (8/5): Very good -
- Poonam (4/5): Really nice accommodation and host. Shame we didn’t have a room with our own bathroom - Breakfast was amazing. The property itself is really nice except for the fact that you have to share a toilet and bathroom facilities which is not everyone cup of tea and definitely not mine! Probably advertise so people know that staying at Saladin accommodation does mean shared amenities as this did put a damper on our trip. In fact if we had driven straight to the lodge and not gone sight seeing we would have probably returned home.
- Jeremy (10/5): We cannot wait to stay with Saladin again! - The beautiful landscape surrounding the property, combined with the wildlife made for a serene experience.
Kimmy went above and beyond during our stay. She made our stay memorable, as though she was family.
- Caleb (10/5): It was peaceful, comfortable and extremely enjoyable. I would come back to the lodge in a heartbeat. - The location is absolutely serene and the lodge itself is a nice wide open space with special tucked away areas where the rooms are. Kim lets you have quite a lot of freedoms which is nice (you’re free to use the kitchen to make coffee, etc). She puts a lot of trust in her visitors, so you then feel an increased responsibility to be respectful. The room we had was lovely and the bed was so comfy. Everything is provided (towels, T.V., breakfast, dinner), so you really feel welcome and comfortable there. I can’t really say there was anything I didn’t like about it.
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Perfect weekend getaway - Our deluxe king room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.
Kim was a great host, we loved her walk recommendations . The view from the hill on the property is beautiful.
Breakfast (which was included) was delicious.
We are so glad that we stumbled across this property when looking for a weekend getaway close to Melbourne.
We will definitely stay again 🙂 Nothing, wish we had stayed longer!
- Jeremy (10/5): Excellent place to stay and Joy is a very nice lady. I would recommend to couples or families. - Very comfy mattress and very large overall. Good drive up from Melbourne, not too long and not too short. Interesting road between Healesville and Marysville and rolling hills north towards Alexandra.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alicia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexandra (10/5): Stunning property inside and out with an amazingly friendly and worldly host! Can’t wait to stay again - Stunning inside and out with an amazingly friendly and worldly host who was one to remember Wish we could have stayed longer!
- Darshan (10/5): Exceptional - superb … must visit
