Guest Reviews
- kathryn (9/5): Charming Hinterland Stay with Warm Hospitality - Host Kym was so friendly and welcoming, with thoughtful treats waiting in the fridge and plenty of breakfast provisions supplied. The residence itself is beautiful with antique furniture, full of charm and character. Perfectly located too — under 10 minutes to Paddock Restaurant and only 10-15 minutes to some amazing walking tracks. A peaceful and memorable stay.
- Shameena (10/5): - A truly magical stay. The place is warm, cozy and full of character — wooden interiors, paintings, old photographs and little details that make it feel like a home with a soul.
The hosts provided everything you could need — fresh produce, snacks, and even fresh herbs for cooking. Mornings were peaceful with birds chirping and the surroundings were simply beautiful.
Breakfast included, barbecue available, and the space was spotlessly clean and well equipped. For a couple looking for a quiet mountain escape, this is perfect.
Would highly recommend and will definitely return. 💛 Nothing
- Monique (10/5): A perfect peaceful escape close to Binna Burra. - We thoroughly enjoyed our five-night stay at Wyndover Mountain Retreat, which proved to be a serene and soul-soothing sanctuary. Alfie was the perfect host, providing a warm welcome alongside his owners, who were friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive. A particular highlight was the delicious homemade afternoon tea; the chocolate muffins and banana cake were a divine treat that added a wonderful personal touch to our visit.
The retreat itself was spotlessly clean and impressively spacious, featuring numerous cosy nooks that were perfect for curling up with a book to relax. Outside, the delightful gardens and artistic sculptures created a peaceful atmosphere that was a joy to wander through. It served as the perfect base for exploring the varied walks of Binna Burra, offering a quiet, comfortable space to return to and unwind after a day on the trails. We left feeling completely refreshed and cannot recommend it highly enough.
- Phyllis (10/5): - Peaceful, tranquil and comfortable.
- Glen (10/5): - So much space to relax, it's hard to chose a good spot. Everything you need is here. Great place and value. Only 2 or 3 teaspoons but that's about it.
- Wensley (10/5): -
- Frances (9/5): - The location was great for exploring the nearby Lamington, Springbrook National Parks. After a day of hiking it was great to relax in the lovely garden and watch the Wallabies. The property was spacious with an outdoor seating area and electric barbecue. Next time I'll use the outside barbecue in the garden -what a great space. As the property is not close to shops it was great to have breakfast supplied. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- John (10/5): accommodation and overall experience exceeded our expectations - breakfast was good, loved the spacious accommodation, Kym was a gorgeous lady. The accommodation was fitted out with thought provoking features. the grounds were well kept and featured many lovely bonsai plants that were created by Russell, Only thing we could complain about was one day of rain and cold weather which our hosts had no control over. Should not complain as the bed was very comfortable so we treated that day like a honeymoon LOL.
- peter (8/5): - Needs better parking. Dogs. a. bit. Noisy next-door
- Leon (10/5): -
- Nigel (9/5): A perfect place for a peaceful, relaxing and comfortable getaway. - A perfect place for a peaceful, relaxing and comfortable getaway surrounded by lovely gardens. The bedroom and living areas are spacious with an old-world charm and eclectic decor. Guests have exclusive access to the kitchen, dining, lounge and the small balcony, breezeway/enclosed courtyard and external courtyard. There's plenty of comfy furniture and places to enjoy being lazy. We enjoyed meeting the hosts who were friendly and helpful. The retreat is within an easy drive to Binna Burra and Canungra and Natural Arch, Springbrook and Hinze Dam are about an hour away. The kitchen, dining and lounge are not air conditioned (note that air conditioning is provided for the bedroom and that there are ceiling fans and floor fans in all spaces).
- Paul (10/5): Perfect -

- Steven (10/5): Very relaxing stay. We will certainly return, but for longer next time. - A wonderful location for those craving nature, peace and quiet. The hosts were very friendly. There wasn't anything about our stay that we didn't like.
- Dietrich (10/5): uniquely comfortable holiday flat full of exquisite, old-style interiors in great rural area - an amazingly comfortable large apartment full of exquisite, old-style interiors, in an unspoiled rural setting with great views. Very comfortable bedroom with air condition. In the South Queensland winter, guests can enjoy sitting close to the wood-burning stove which provides some heating for the very large living room. In warmer periods, there are great opportunities for sitting outside on balcony and outdoors.
- Kazimierz (9/5): Clean, comfortable & friendly welcome - Good left for breakfast was fresh & plentiful.
Location was near great walks .Afternoon tea with cakes was great. It was a bit far from any shops or restaurants
- Jill (10/5): Fabulous attention to detail from the music when i arrived, the fire full of wood ready to go and th - Fabulous attention to detail from the music when i arrived, the fire full of wood ready to go and the freshly picked herbs on the counter
- Cassandra (9/5): Tranquil and homey - Comfy bed, massive space and super quiet. Plus a fireplace! The cakes provided were delicious 😋 Not much around the area for dinner and the roads are a bit hazardous with rain having damaged a lot of the road on the way up. Continental breakfast was light. Packet mix of porridge, muesli or toast and eggs. Ok for me but my husband was hungry.
- Jennifer (10/5): Quite, cosy and comfortable. - The food provided was fresh. We especially enjoyed the homemade treats.
The location was perfect for our needs.
The accommodation was clean and comfortable with adequate heating. Everything was fabulous.

- Cathy (9/5): Wedding at Rosewood Estate. - The accommodation was extremely spacious, beautifully decorated and presented. We had a combustion fireplace, a lovely breakfast provided and a yummy afternoon tea on arrival.
Our host even drove us to collect our car from the wedding venue we had attended the night before.
Binna burra was only 20minutes away where we were able to enjoy some lovely hikes.
Highly recommend this B&B accommodation. Everything was perfect.
- Marnie (10/5): Exceptional -

- Sabina (9/5): Superb -
- Artëm (9/5): Superb - Thoughtful décor, like in a museum of upscale country life. And even classic music on arrival, that was a fantastic touch! Large, well-maintained garden, and plenty of places to sit and relax while contemplating its beauty. Hearty afternoon tea, plus DIY breakfast provisions. Very well stocked kitchen. Everything was sparklingly clean! A perfect place for a romantic weekend. And a very convenient location to visit the national park – enjoy O'Reilly's and Binna Burra, as well as Tamborine (you'd better visit both skywalks, they are very different and it's hard to tell which is better).
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional -

The host constantly communicated with us and catered to our needs from beginning to end. A sensor light at the front door to see the entrance in the evening would be helpful.

- Glenda (10/5): Beautiful Beechmont escape - just perfect - Everything. The location, the ambience, the quirkiness (I have never stayed anywhere like this before it was so cosy and interesting), the hosts (Kim and Russell were just so helpful), the beautiful cosy fire and the lounge right in front of it, the beautiful mood lighting, and of course the breakfast goodies, the baked goodies and the lovely coffee. We just loved beechmont and being able to get away from everything and yet still just a drive from all the beautiful walks in Lamington and Springbrook national parks. Nothing - it was all perfect and I hope we can come back again one day
- Zookiah (10/5): Exceptional - The facilities were absolutely stunning, including the gardens, the pictures do not do it justice. Kym and Russell were amazing hosts as well. Felt well and truly pampered and looked after. Nothing!
- Oliver (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aimee (10/5): Cosy, charming and very comfortable - Location, facilities, comfortable bed, friendly hosts, availability of breakfast, so many comfortable places to sit and relax. 3pm check-in...We would have loved to have been able to check in an hour earlier as it was such a lovely place.
- Richard (10/5): Tree change. - The hospitality, fresh baked goodies on arrival. Very spacious apartment, but cosy and warm with the fire. Tranquil setting with wildlife on the doorstep. Great location with bush walks close by. Nothing.
- Vivienne (10/5): Spacious apartment in stunning location - My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Wyndover Mountain Retreat recently. The accommodation was stunning. A very spacious self-contained apartment in a gorgeous garden setting, all lovingly maintained by the owners. We loved the way the place was furnished from the four poster bed to the bric a brac on walls and tables to the cupboard full of games and books. Kym, our host, was gracious and generous, providing some delicious snacks as well as breakfast for our stay. There is nothing negative to say. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer and take advantage of what Beechmont offered by way of walks and views.
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional - The warm and homey feel you get on this beautiful and very well maintained property and the breakfast was very delicious! I couldn’t stay longer 🥲
- Derna (9/5): Superb - Great balcony, lots of comfy sitting spots.Fabulous comfy bed. Lovely hosts.
- Cassandra (10/5): Blissful weekend getaway - Peaceful, relaxing and beautiful ambience Mosquitoes
- Belinda (9/5): Somewhere peaceful to rest and rejuvenate - Everything was there without leaving the property, which was a refurbished "half house", complete with balconies, with inside/outside living areas set in a beautiful garden. Our hostess enquired about our dietary requirements (for breakfast) and was responsive to requests eg helping out with washing (we had come from hiking in nearby Lamington National Park) There was little to fault. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes managed to find their way inside despite our best efforts (but contingency plans were in place for this). We like to have fruit for breakfast (but we didn't ask and we know that many places don't provide this - so we bought our own)
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (9/5): We enjoyed our stay it was relaxing - The location was prefect, quiet and private, it had a very comfortable feeling about the place. Kym and Russel were very friendly and helpful.
- Julie (10/5): A rare treasure in the rainforest
: it won't disappoint! You - Perfectly situated for seeing nature and going bush walks. Delightful to walk during the day through the rainforest seeing waterfalls and caves and then return to our enormous rainforest retreat that was very comfy with all the mod cons. Plus host was very nice and very helpful. Nothing
- Celine (10/5): Delightful Stay at Wyndover Mountain Retreat - The studio is spacious, cozy and clean. It's perfect for a relaxing getaway! Located on a quiet property, the studio has everything you need to cook and have a good time. It's close to Binna Burra, so perfect for hikers.
- Georgie (10/5): Beautiful creative home nestled on paradise, homemade breakfast, everything was perfect - The thoughtful details and gifts from the host Kym were exceptional and creative, everything was perfect, clean and beautiful Nothing
- Sam (10/5): Relaxing, peaceful, and homely - Kym was an exceptional host, we felt very looked after
- Dianne (10/5): Eclectic Charm - We loved Wyndover's peacefulness, charm, character, and eclectic decor. It was comfortable, clean and unique with a fire place, reading chairs, private courtyard, and 2 balconies with a view. The grounds were beautiful with a yoga platform, bbq, wallabies & rabbits. We were welcomed with hand made treats and bubbles for our anniversary ❤️ A little out of the way, but that's what made it special.
Approx 30 mins to O'Reilly's Vineyards or Tamborine Mountain.
- John (9/5): very enjoyable and comfortable accommodation - Breakfast good. Location good
- Deanne (10/5): Had a very relaxing stay at the retreat and would certainly return. - We were met by Kym, who showed us around the accommodation explaining how things worked. Had everything you needed, very homely. Nothing really

The setting of the property was lovely - the view out the windows was peaceful and green.
The extras that the host supplied, like the best sticky date pudding I've ever had and chocolate cupcakes, were yum.
Generous tea and coffee facilities and the warm and cosiness of a fire, very relaxing.
Thanks for the lovely time. The only thing was the pillow didn't suit my neck but it isn't possible to suit everyone. :)
