Guest Reviews
- Chontal (9/5): Lovely place to disconnect and chill - Very spacious, friendly staff, convenient to Yarra Glen, breakfast provisions were great Shower was a bit too small
- William (10/5): - Amazing accomodation, quiet and peaceful. Nothing, everything was perfect
- Samantha (10/5): Calm and cosy for a perfect night away. - It was very cosy and comfortable, exceptionally clean and well stocked; it had everything we needed and more!
Everything was provided including provisions for a bacon and egg breaky cook up, 3 different kinds of coffee (for coffee lovers this was a nice touch) and was in such a great location for what we needed. Nothing to list here, it was perfect for our night away.
- Kelly (8/5): Handy and comfortable - a good spot for a weekend getaway. - Terrific, neat cottages close to some of the major vineyards in the Yarra Valley and a quick drive to Yarra Glen for dinner or supplies. Includes a kitchen so you can fend for yourself, and plenty of breakfast supplies including bacon and eggs - more than we could eat! Very comfy and well-equipped. Be warned there's no wifi and mobile reception is patchy. We didn't need it much so not a problem for us.
- Elizabeth Anne (10/5): Gorgeous cottage and surroundings . I want to go back - Loved that it was clean and comfortable and had exactly what we needed for a cosy get away. It is close to the road so a bit of traffic noise.
- Rose (10/5): Great little cottage! - Friendly and helpful staff!
Jan drove us and picked us up from Wedding we attended ! Which was amazing ! Nothing!

Trevlig och hjälpsam värd. Polen stängd utan någon information om det.
Mycket ljud från en väg tidigt på morgonen.

My partner and I rarely get to spend time away with each other so this was such a lovely treat. We will 100% be coming back to stay with them again they really exceeded all expectations.
- Marcia (9/5): A comfortable and relaxing stay in the beautiful Yarra Valley. - Leafield cottage was comfortable and spacious. We liked the historic feel of the property and the fridge and larder were well stocked for breakfast. We liked everything.
- Zac (10/5): Great hosts and cute, clean cottages. - Ron and Jan were the perfect hosts! The cottage was cute and very clean with a comfortable bed. We had a booking at a local winery for dinner but struggled to get an uber there. Ron and Jan were so lovely to have driven us there and even picked us up.
The fridge was stocked with a delicious full breakfast for the next morning! I had left a cardigan at the property and Jan was so nice and posted it back to me free of charge.
We would highly recommend staying at these cute cottages and we look forward to returning for another stay. Nothing
- Rachelle (8/5): Cosy and rustic with all the trimmings - Cosy cottage, rustic charm with modern amenities. Good breakfast in fridge of eggs, ham, tomato and bread. Coffee machine. Beds were comfy , quiet area. Advertised pool but it wasn’t usable.

- Michelle (10/5): Unique, enjoyable and relaxing change of scenery. - At Leafields Cottages we stayed in “Rose Cottage” which was very cute and full of character and charm.
The authentic details of the property such as timber floors, wall paneling, and pull ceiling light switches combined with a curated, collection of Knick knacks made this a memorable weekend away, a nice change from soulless standard hotel rooms.
The cottage was surprisingly spacious with two large bedrooms and plenty of space in the lounge/dinning/ kitchen area.
Breakfast was supplied and available in the cottage’s kitchen; this time across two days was bacon and eggs, fresh bread, fresh croissants and yoghurt.
The host was friendly and welcoming while arranging arrival and departure, and ensured we knew to call on them during our visit if needed; they left us to enjoy the cottage in peace during the stay.
- Katrina (9/5): Lovely mini getaway in the Yarra Valley. - The cottage was cozy and very warm with the woodfire! Our hosts were absolutely lovely, supplying us with extra wood and paper to light up the fire again the last night we were there.
We slept so well that night, because the room was kept warm by the woodfire until morning. The bed was super comfy, and the breakfast provisions were generous.
The environment was peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the visits from the cute little birds during the mornings and late afternoons sitting outside the kitchen window.
We also wanted to note, that this accommodation is not walkable to the shops and driving around is required to most places (my fiancè and I already knew this and were fine with it!) But just in case, we want people to be aware prior to booking if this is a deal breaker for them. We also found that most wineries around the area would only be open until 5pm after searching up where to have dinner (not sure if this is a seasonal thing or due to events.) However, we ended up going to Divino for dinner at Mandala Wines, and that was magnificent- just 5 minutes up the road which ended up being real lucky location wise.
Yarra Valley Chocolaterie is very closeby too, worth a visit. To be completely honest, the one thing we felt uncomfortable with was the shower.
You couldn't really adjust the shower head, which standing at only 5'2, was just constantly spraying into my face.

- Ravi (5/5): Weekend Getaway. - The cottage was cute. There was no electrical heating, there was however a fire place however the fire did not run all night and the house was freezing cold at 2am. There was no WIFI signal and connection. The TV was the size of a monitor with barely any channels. Some channels had sound only and no picture. Can certainly do with more lights in the lounge area.
- Jorg (10/5): Best Value Cottage Accommodation - The cottage was very cosy & clean. The fridge was stocked most generously for breakfast (bacon&eggs, tomatoes, milk, bread etc - plus lovely croissants & muffins) and ample firewood was provided. The cottage is in the midst of wineries and only a short drive to Yarra Glen. Fantastic value for money! Thank you Jan & Ron! We will be back!😊👍 See many of the cottage garden plants damaged by roaming deer.
- Jodie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cozy cottage, with lovely and generous breakfast, muffins and biscuits.
- Sundance (10/5): Ideal Location and well looked after by the host, amazing -
- Julie (9/5): Superb - A very generous and enjoyable breakfast was supplied. Hosts were friendly and helpful.
- Frances (9/5): Happy to stay again - A great place to hide away or just to stay and explore the region. The cottage had everything you could need. A generous amount of food in the fridge.
Tea, coffee, and cookies. Lovely hot water. The bed was great. We would have loved to stay longer.

- Roxanne (10/5): A beautiful, private cottage expereince - Lovely and caring host who went above and beyond to make sure we were pampered and comfortable. An awesome breakfast provided too with heaps of bacon to cook in our little cottage, eggs, toast and jam. There are also lots of kangaroos in the area.
- Liam (10/5): Excellent. Was very happy. - As I asked for breakfast, the fridge was supplied with two croissants, bread, butter, several rashes of bacon, eggs, tomatoes. You had access to a stove, so you cooked it to your own liking.
These little cabins would make an awesome little getaway into the area, if you want somewhere comfortable, warm, selfcontained and private. The GPS didn't lead me straight there, it led to the base of the road which the cottages were on.
- O'brien (8/5): Very good -

Hosts were very helpful with a little change we needed in our booking. Highway too close to accommodation, a bit of noise from big trucks passing.
- Jill (9/5): Superb -
- Sonia (8/5): Rochford Winery Concert Stopver - We had the Sage Cottage. Very comfortable and breakfast selection was wonderful. Tidy, clean. Bed was too firm for my husband. Nothing at Dixons Creek at all eg no cafe or general store. Lots of wineries but not walking distance.
Photos of the gardens looked amazing on Booking.com but harsh weather conditions have obviously knocked them around.
- Rebecca (10/5): Cozy, comfortable and quiet - We absolutely loved our stay at Leafield Cottages—it was an absolute delight from start to finish! The cottage itself was incredibly cozy, warm, and welcoming, providing the perfect home away from home during our work trip. Everything was beautifully maintained, and the charming decor added to the relaxing atmosphere.
The location was ideal, conveniently close to where our conference was held, making our daily commute effortless. The hosts were wonderful—so friendly, attentive, and accommodating, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. They even left us a generous breakfast hamper filled with delicious treats, which was a fantastic touch and made our mornings even more enjoyable.

- Vincent (7/5): Good - Love the old world feel with the tinted windows. It was also just around the corner from where our wedding function was at Ferguson winery. We understand the need for use of rainwater as it's in the country. But the need to upgrade things like the kettle which makes the water a yellow colour would be nice. As the kettle was necessary to sterilise the water before use. Also, the air conditioning system wasn't very cold. And the water pressure in the shower could be better. Not complaints. Just suggestions.
- Michelle (10/5): Excellent and will definitely be back - We were welcomed and made to feel comfortable from the time we arrived, the cottage was extremely clean and had everything you could possibly need There wasn’t anything we didn’t like
- Natasha (8/5): Wonderful stay -

- Danielle (8/5): Very enjoyable - Breakfast was good maybe a Vegemite and peanut butter instead of all jam
The shower was not hot though but overall a cute place to stay Hot shower and a few more toast toppings
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Brett (10/5): Exceptional -
- Loretta (10/5): Beautiful stay in stunning location - Beautiful property in a stunning location. Hosts were wonderful and really looked after me. Thank you for a lovely experience 😃 Nothing
- Leanne (9/5): We had a lovely time and this accommodation. - Jan was really lovely. She contacted us before we arrived to find out what time we would be there and what we would like for breakfast. She also let us know what we could do if she were not home when we got there. She was easy to contact when we needed to, and we got the chance to chat when we returned from a wedding. There wasn't anything to dislike about our stay. You know it is an old cottage when you book, but they are well-maintained.
