• Marc (10/5): York Home Stay - Very comfortable room, the added extras in the room was amazing and the indoor garden outside the room wonderful. All the furniture and furnishings were of high quality spec. The location even though it had wonderful views was a little bit too far out of the township of York. Breakfast option was a little bit disappointing, but what I did receive was good.
• Herb (10/5): Hidden gem in York - Just had a wonderful stay at the Lookout with hosts Jeanette and Paul and it was exceptional to say the least. We were greeted with warmth and genuine cordiality ,rare in today's world. The attention to detail in terms of your stay being comfortable right down to the well stocked fridge, all complimentary, and the equally well stocked bathroom and a very comfortable bed. and all this was topped ff with a magnificent breakfast .We will be back sooner rather than later. 11/10 Nothing, this is the yardstick other accommodation should be judged by.
• Ian1952 (8/5): Genuinely friendly welcome into this home. - Jeanette is a very gregarious and welcoming host. Within 10 minutes it seemed like we were old friends. The property is located away from the main part of York which made it quiet, with plenty of parking. The room is full of knick-knacks and pictures but contained more than enough to welcome the tired traveller. Wine in the fridge, port and biscuits, chocolates, tea and coffee! Breakfast similarly was impressive with juices, cereals, toast tea and coffee and the offer of eggs, etc. Jeanette and Paul (who joined us after work) work hard to present an experience to remember. We really enjoyed our stay. Nothing at all.

• Annie (8/5): TOO MUCH CLUTTER - Paul and Jeanette were very friendly and welcoming. I appreciated the restaurant suggestions. Having lots of beverages to choose from in the small fridge was a real treat and very thoughtful. The internet connection was strong. Thoughtful touches were everywhere. The fruit bowl was a welcome treat. The room was small, particularly because of all the doodads and personal items the owners had placed in the room and bathroom. There was far too much 'stuff' placed on every surface for us to find ANY space for our items. When we entered the home for breakfast, there was a very strong scent from infusers, etc., that I found far too overpowering. It made me want to leave, rather than linger over breakfast, which consisted of tea, cffee, juice, fruit, toast, and cereals. A baked dish like muffins or rolls would have been a treat. The address comes up incorrectly on Google Maps. That should be changed,

• Jane (9/5): Comfortable and welcoming, a great place to stay in York. - We loved our stay with Jeanette and Paul, they are excellent hosts, helpful and good company. They should be proud of what they have achieved and the fabulous reviews of their B&B. We liked the location, it's close to the town and also close to the Mount Brown Lookout; on a clear night this is a great spot to see the stars. We had our own bedroom, a separate toilet and a bathroom with plenty of bathroom products. It was so quiet that we both had good sleeps. We needed a good rest as we had a busy time at the Beverley Airshow. We had our own lounge area and shared access to a large enclosed outdoor dinning area. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the included goodies such as port, sparkling wine, soft drinks, cake and chocolates. We loved everything.

Jeanette was an excellent host, very welcoming and explained everything regarding the accommodation and facilities. She also prepared an excellent breakfast, offering different options. The room had everything we needed plus plenty of extras such as chocolates, soft drinks, wine and a good assortment of coffees and teas. We will definitely consider staying there again if we return to York. Nothing

She explained everything in the room, the added extras with the wine etc were such a wonderful added bonus. There was nothing that you could have needed extra. If you had forgotten any toiletries don’t worry, the room has them all. If you want modern, this is not for you. It was home from home and we enjoyed our chats over breakfast. The continental breakfast was exceptional, so many cereals to choose from, fruit salad and yoghurt were so good, the added touch with the poached eggs was wonderful, my husband said they were perfect. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay. X Nothing. Very happy. Room as described.

Charming in-law suite and very comfortable. Just a few minutes drive (or walk uphill) to the viewpoint which is incredible for star gazing. In the past year I've stayed in something like 50 bookings and this was easily my favorite.

Jeanette and Paul were incredibly kind and accommodating, and we felt at home right away. The room was cosy with air-con, and having our own private sitting area and bathroom with a standalone toilet was a great bonus. Breakfast was beautiful, and it was so thoughtful of them to let us take the leftover fruit for the day. They also helped us choose a dinner spot and offered great ideas for a day trip to Toodyay. The location is excellent, close to the York lookout and a short drive to the city centre. Breakfast, served in large breakfast room and was in abundance.  With a very good selection of fresh fruit, and cereal, toast, yoghart, juice, tea and coffee.  Excellent. Room was large and spacious. Looking onto a large private internal courtyard. The room was very clean and equipped with large TV, microwave, coffee and tea making. Fridge (inside COMPLIMENTARY YES FREE beer, wine, water, juice, milk, chocolates, cake, biscuits, and port.)  1 very comfortable clean king bed. Large Bathroom is ensuite shower and toilet and very clean with abundance of toiletries. Would stay again and highly recommend Outstanding value.
