Guest Reviews
- chunming (5/5): 一般 - 空间较大一点 讲不岀必经不是洒店没有人服务
- valerie (7/5): - Le style de la maison, la deco
Certains accessoires modernes Cuisine pas tres propre
Gros manque de verre
- Leung Sai Lim (7/5): - just next to the road. This is actually a one bedroom house with attic. they just renovate it to become 3 bedrooms. There are 2 rooms in the attic. Both are too soft and seems not stable esp the one with 1 single bed. No doors in this 2 rooms. There is no air conditioners in the room. the uppest level is very hot and difficult to sleep. The stairs are narrow and high especially when you are carrying yr baddages
- Liuyi (10/5): Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hobart and looking for a cosy stay close to the city centre. - The apartment was really cosy and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed — a fully equipped kitchen with all kinds of kitchenware, a coffee machine, coffee pods, and basic seasonings for cooking. The location was great and super convenient — very close to the city centre and Woolies for grocery shopping. For the location and what it offers, it’s excellent value for money. The host was incredibly kind and patient, answering all our questions, whether about the apartment or daily life in Hobart. We really enjoyed our stay here! The loft room made a few creaking sounds when it was windy at night, and the sound insulation could be a little better — we could occasionally hear some conversation from next door when the window was open.
- Alexandrea (1/5): DON’T STAY HERE! BAD REVIEWS ARE 100% TRUE - The bakery across the street was the best part of the stay! I’ve never written a bad review, but this is honestly the worst holiday rental- Dirty, dusty, smelled terrible, dirty dishes, no drinking glasses, broken taps, fans, clogged sinks, extension cords plugged into expansion cords, plugged into extension cords for power, terrible beds, disgusting stained carpets on the top level, holes in all the walls, hooks and pictures randomly falling off the walls, old guests rubbish in the bedroom and ants in the cupboards and all over kitchen- only food on the counter was an apple & banana. Yes Lotus Gogh, we know ants only come out for food- normally not sealed fruit.
We had busy days so weren’t there much and thought we could just sleep there, but the ant infestation was the last straw. Checked out, went to a hotel, notified the host and got gaslit after letting them know the countless issues. If only I had let them know sooner, they always use glen 20 spray so it couldn’t smell, we sent someone over and there were no ants, we could have sent a handyman to fix the tap in the shower, the sink only drains a little slowly, the fan does work, this is a heritage house, maybe I don’t understand that??
They refused to say if they were the owner or a rental manager, blamed the cleaners (not the cleaners fault, they can only do so much), wouldn’t tell me where to send ‘the evidence’ and then offered a one night refund.
JUST DON’T STAY HERE!!!

- Hayley (8/5): Best location and value for money if you have a group or family - Excellent location, amazing coffee and pastries across the road. Beds comfy and easy to book and enter the residence Random items not functional
Or plugged in etc like lamps in the main room and the shower was super teeny but functional. But the rest was easy, big, plenty of space
- Tabitha (8/5): Very good -
- Jeka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lesley (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (9/5): Superb - It was well-appointed, clean and very comfortable. Great location close to the city. Perhaps some sugar for tea and coffee... the exhaust fan in the bathroom was very dirty.
- Nathan (8/5): Very good -
- Ronald (8/5): Very good - Close to the city Lounge furniture uncomfortable and doors on the top bedrooms would have been useful
- Zhibiao (1/5): TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Moved out immediately after the first night! - the location is good, this is the ONLY good thing about this property EVERYTHING else!!!!
ZERO ventilation in the bedroom at 3rd floor, BROKEN lamps, BROKEN dishwasher, BROKEN decorations (that could hurt your children!), SHARP nail heads on handrail top.
The host doesn't take care of the property, not to mention the customers!!!
- Trenton (8/5): Comfotable with good facilities spacious bathroom including washing machine and drying and, close to restaurants and har - Close to City
Comfortable beds
Good spacious bathroom 2nd flight of stairs to other bed rooms but not a show stopper
- Katrina (7/5): Good - Great location and good communication from host. Fully stocked kitchen and great heating. The single bed in a room by itself wasn’t very comfy.
- Albert (8/5): Excellent stay - Great location
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Felicity (6/5): Pleasant and overall nicely presented property with a few minor issues - Good location
Cute furnishings
Nice heritage building No TV (just streaming services)
No glasses except wine glasses
On street parking only which can be a challenge
- Katherine (10/5): Fantastic base to explore Hobart! - Loved the location and decor!
- Jenny (10/5): Perfect location in a gorgeous city - A friend and I stayed for 3 nights in this fabulous apartment. Perfect quiet location near shops, food, bars. Easy walking, about 10 mins stroll, to the middle of Hobart and all the entertainment there. I'll certainly stay again. Everything was fine.
- Kathryn (6/5): Disappointed the car park was on the road and no doors on 2 bedrooms. - The house was as shown in the photos. Good value for money. It is advertised as having a car park however you have to park on the road. It can be hard to get a car park.
There is no doors in the 2nd and 3rd bedroom.
The back door doesn’t lock. Not a big deal as it comes off a little courtyard, however nice to have a locking door.
- Andrew (1/5): This is the worst accommodation that I have stayed in. I would never stay there again. - The location is handy to the cbd. This is the worst accommodation that I have stayed in using booking.com. This list of complaints, security issues and poor hygiene is long.
The keypad front door lock allowed multiple codes to be used, not just the one given to us. Obviously old codes had not been cleared.
The rear door to the courtyard could not be locked. The security bolts did not engage and the lock in the door knob did not work. We had to tie the door knobs together for some limited security.
The food provided for breakfast was appalling. We tried some of the eggs in the fridge and they were clearly very old. We later founds 7 cartons of out of date eggs (purchased 2 months prior) in the bathroom/laundry on top of the water heater and clothes drier. These cartons are no doubt used to resupply the 'fresh' eggs in the fridge. The eggs were out of date by weeks and a serious health concern.
The cereal in the pantry was stale. We later found opened packets of cereal in the bathroom/laundry that are no doubt used to resupply the 'fresh' cereal container in the pantry. The packets were open to insects.
The kitchen cooking facilities were disgusting. The extraction fan/filter above the stove was dripping in old oil and we had to clean it to use it.
There are 3 bedrooms in the apartment. The 2 upstairs bedrooms do not have doors, so there is no privacy.
There are also not enough power points so that there are extension cords and powerboards running across the floor of both upper bedrooms.
The property is tired and in rough condition. Bathroom sink tiles are broken or missing, the walls are cracked, power points have been roughly installed and poorly finished.
- Shahram (8/5): Very good - Good location and clean property with all the required facility.
- Helen (8/5): Very good - Fantastic location, quirky with good character, great for a family of 6 Rubbish bins overflowing, quite hot upstairs
- Hua (10/5): Exceptional - Location is very convenient!
- Jade (8/5): Very good -
- Isabel (8/5): Highly recommend this place. Great location and nice apartment - Dry clean and centrally located. One of the bedrooms was abit small. Bedrooms on top floor were hot but the fans helped cool them down
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alenka (5/5): Location great Parking not good. Needs an overhaul. - Location Three level- steep stairs. Not depicted in photos. A lot of electrical cords everywhere. Furniture and fixtures very haphazard and almost like a bric a brac store. A lot needs attention. Very run down. Bathroom very shabby. I think photos were very old. Needed a cord for tv as it was missing. This was purchased by owners friend and dropped off in a day so that was good. Offered a partial refund by owner due to state of apartment but never happened. Location was good. Parking our car difficult due to zones.
- Bridget (8/5): A well located and comfortable place to stay. - The property was well located, was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. It was easy to find and the owner communicated well. Master bed was a little hard for our taste and we were expecting a little more for breakfast. There was cereal milk and eggs but no bread, spread or juice which would have been appreciated.
- Nicky (10/5): Awesome apartment, awesome location & awesome owner! - Superb location! Walking distance to most cool places - with the bonus of a cute cafe (chutney manufacturing site run by Dave) and yummy bakery just across the road.
The 3 bedrooms meant we could separate our teenagers (which definitely made for a more enjoyable holiday).
My daughter left her headphones behind - Lotus tracked them down and sent them back to NZ at her cost!
- Glaspy (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy and warm and with everything we needed. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay.
- Renee (6/5): Great location but needs some maintenance done on the property plus main bed replaced - Location was amazing very spacious especially with a teenager he had his space Main bed very uncomfortable needs a lot of work on the property
- Carolyn (7/5): Good -
- Paigec23 (4/5): Lotus Gogh - Location was good, close to the centre of the city. The apartment was clean. Parking was difficult, apartment is very small with difficult narrow stairs, not enough seating in the lounge area and no TV, just a broken projector that we were unable to connect too or use. You share a wall with neighbours and while we were they they were very loud late at night.
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - great location, spacious, well priced, responsive host, convenient key pad entry, snacks/breakfast foods were a nice touch back door didn’t lock, projector didn’t work, it was more run down and tired than shown in the photos, for example bathroom vanity had tiles missing, stains on rug and blankets
- Xiaolan (7/5): convenient location and lovely property. - location was continent, the house was clean and well equipped, host was responsive. comes with convenient location is the problem with cars on the street at night time. the windows and roof can crack a bit when the wind blows strong - if you are a light sleeper you may find it a bit hard to fall asleep.
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chloe (8/5): nice central spot but could do with some maintenance - Close to restaurants, inviting and warm, cosy, main bedroom was comfy. Great having a washer and dryer to use! Dyson hair dryer was a great touch as well as we are a group of 4 ladies with long hair! Left us some bikkies to have with a cuppa and coffee pod machine was great! Says breakfast included but it was just eggs and cereal (no milk, no bread, no butter) and a lot of the food was out of date. Parking situation is kind of weird, only 30min parking out the front on weekdays so be mindful of that. house smelt a bit musty. upstairs rooms were a bit stuffy but beds were comfy enough. lots of little things need fixing, the fridge was leaking water and the door didn’t stay shut, leak underneath the sink, wheelie bins were full to the brim, bathroom door wouldn’t shut properly. It was just lacking all the little touches, with a bit of maintenance it would be great.
- Nicki (10/5): Exceptional - great place in an awesome location. would stay again
- Michelle (2/5): Very poor - The heating The main bed was hard, the single beds had oversize mattress protectors on which made the sheets and doona fall off all the time. There wasn't a broom or vacuum to clean the floors, there wasn't enough milk for the 5 days. The cereal was stale, the only place to sit outside was near smelly bins. The handrail down the stairs was loose and unsafe.
- Grace (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (8/5): Overall enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn’t RE book because of bed - Apartment quirky style clean and good kitchen. Could walk to main streets. Restaurants and cafes very easy to walk and drive Main bedroom bed very hard and not very comfortable Didn’t really need it but no TV
- Jennifer (8/5): nice accomm/ needs a few touch ups to make comfortable - warm /good location unfortunately no spatula/egg flip/no doors on 2 top bedrooms (awkward) no medium let alone big sized fry pan (accommodates 6 people??) no tea towels/ seal on fridge& range hood & smoke alarm all not working
- Heughan (9/5): Superb -
- Katherine (5/5): A good place to stay if you are intending to be out all day and most of the night. investigate parking options for the d - Close proximity to CBD
Clean
Good quality appliances provided … e.g coffee machine, hairdryer Stairs up to third floor felt a little unsafe especially when trying to get luggage up and down to bedrooms.
Couldn’t figure out how to use the stove / oven … perhaps having a manual would be useful.
Difficulty of parking.
- Tek (3/5): not a good experience because only 1 bathroom for 6 of us and breakfast is poor - location is good breakfast very bad and room temperature is not good , very warm and hot
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent hardware the stair is too narrow
- Khaleel (10/5): Exceptional - Location, near the centre, within walking distance. Excellent accommodation, comfortable, lots of space, great place to stay
- Catherine (5/5): Passable - Generous supply of eggs & cereals for breakfast, with many types of seasoning for cooking One bathroom for 6 persons slightly inconvenient.
Staircase too steep & narrow, we had to leave the luggage on ground floor and bathroom on 1st floor
- Nathatai (10/5): Good apartment in a good location - We were so glad that we chose to stay here. Good location, very convenient, walking distance to Salamanca market. Checking-in was so easy. Everything provided more than expectation and the host was very responsive. I strongly recommend this place Nothing
- Dhruv (8/5): Very good -
- Brian (9/5): Superb - Central location. On street Parking was a bit tricky at times.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very much worth the money! Can’t wait to stay again :) - Loved the location (5min walk into the middle of town), the furnishing and art in the apartment were beautiful and it was super cosy! There were a few problems with a faulty appliance and the kitchen was very cramped.
- Hollie (10/5): great location. would stay again! - convenient location!!!!! perfect place, every negative review was rectified before we come. it is exactly as stated. BYO pillows, to soft for my liking, and the dryer does not work.
- Lucario (9/5): Great location, walking distance to markets and wharf. Perfect apartment for families or friends sharing. - Wonderful apartment, great location, well stocked and overall a comfortable place to stay! Nothing -would have been great to have a carspace but we could park on the street ok.
- Raelene (9/5): Superb - Not applicable- we chose to eat out Dryer did not dry clothes and rubbish bin was full so rubbish could not be added to the bin
