- Christina (10/5): Cosy in a picturesque location - Great breakfast provisions, and loved the surprise of a bottle of wine. The location is great, having a small walk to the local pub was lovely. Loved the stone walls and the log fire, intended to stay for two night, ended up staying for three because we loved it Everything was great

- John (7/5): Enjoyed the daylight and early evenings. Dreaded the uncomfortable bed. - Great location, historical building which has been very thoughtfully renovated, wood burner with copious amounts of well seasoned firewood, clean and generous breakfast supplies. The bed!
- David (10/5): A comfortable and tastefully restored property full of history - We were warmly greeted by Steve on arrival and appreciated hearing about the history and renovations that had been undertaken to this 180yo property. We were impressed with how the Well Room was presented and the little touches that Steve and Fiona had included, making it a very charming B&B and comfortable stay. The property was conveniently located with only a short stroll to the Scenic Hotel and the Morialta Conservation Park.

The breakfast provided exceeded expectations, and the kitchenette in the room meant we could be self sufficient for our trip.
The grounds were gorgeous and the room had incredible facilities, I couldn't recommend this place enough!
- Hayley (9/5): Great stay - Historical features and restoration Nothing

The breakfast provisions were wonderful too. Nothing.
- Frank (10/5): The Barns are great - Great location , excellent accommodation and very friendly hosts. Easy access to attractions .
- Lindsay (10/5): - The perfect escape. Generous hosts and beautiful scenery. Magic walk to the local pub with an abundance of wild life and wild flowers. Extremely generous breakfast supplies, easily enough for 3 days breakfast. The heritage buildings have been thoughtfully and lovingly restored and the grounds sympathetically landscaped. The apartment was a delight to be in. We had all we needed. The bed was comfortable. Everything has been carefully thought about, the whole building well designed and detailed.
We felt welcomed and cared for by Steve and Fiona.
- Roslyn (10/5): Perfectly comfortable, nicely stocked and conveniently located for a local country wedding with friendly helpful owners. - It was beautifully presented. The accommodations are restored and renovated stone barns located in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. Once the fireplace was mastered it was wonderfully cosy! Hahaha having to open and close the gate to property! ….. not really a dislike!
- Paul (10/5): -
- Cheryl (9/5): - The welcome after a long day on the road was priceless, as was the fire. We relaxed in front of the fire in the well designed lounge/kitchen area.
Walk around the wall and there was the bedroom area.
Everything was comfortable, warm and quiet.
The window coverings were unique and effective, enabling long sleep.
Waking up to birdsong and then sighting kangaroos on the property was an extra treat.
Walking trails nearby gave more wildlife and wildflowers.
The breakfast provisions lasted the entire stay.
Being enveloped in history that was welcoming and comfortable was a great tonic. The bathroom remained cold.
- Jason (10/5): Stunning property with everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. - The property was beautifully presented with everything required for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We loved the fireplace and the breakfast rations were great quality and enough for two days (rather than just the one advertised). Steve was immensely helpful with information about the attractions around the area and we really felt relaxed and rejuvenated after our stay.
- Annemarie (9/5): A very peaceful location perfectly positioned for our Heysen walks. - The Bakery was a beautiful heritage building sympathetically restored. It had plenty of living space and two large bedrooms. A very peaceful location perfectly positioned for our Heysen walks. Nothing.
- Dunstan (8/5): - The location was scenic, beautiful. Great breakfast, good shower, very well equipped, great fire.Overall, just a lovely quiet place to stay. No washing facilities, no dishwasher and the master bedroom needs a TV.
- Oliver (10/5): -
- jim (10/5): Step back in time with every modern conveniences - Quite peaceful relaxing Nothing
- Marcus (9/5): - Perfect little cottage in amazing setting.
- jacqueline (10/5): Quiet & tranquil, beautiful accommodation to chill out in. - we had ample food left for breakfast - even though they advised it would only be for one morning - we had enough left over to roll over to the next morning for the four of us. It rained all weekend - which was unfortunate for us, our host helped kept our woodpile well-stocked for the woodfire to keep us warm. Maybe a deck of cards or a game or two would have helped keep us entertained for when the weather is unsuitable to be outside. But there was plenty of DVD's to choose from and books to read.
- Olivia (10/5): - Beautiful location with great views. The hosts were very accommodating. Once the fire was going the place heated up quickly and lovely! If you only book out one barn you will be sharing the outdoor space with other guests so keen that in mind if you want something completely private.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Beautiful facilities and location, breakfast provisions were above all expectations, Steve and Fiona, fabulous hosts.
- Stuart (10/5): - The property is beautifully appointed and the location is fantastic. The owners are lovely. Steve always made sure we had enough firewood. A beautiful bottle of wine and plenty of provisions for breakfast.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious.
Great to see the historic Morialta Barns - circa 1847 be so beautifully restored.
- Christine (10/5): -
- Catherine (10/5): Amazing, peaceful, restore, relax! Remember to pack your walking shoes for the trails nearby! - Beautiful, peaceful location. The hosts, Steve and Fiona, have restored The Barns to create space where you don’t want for anything. The Loft has all kitchen facilities so we were able to prepare own meals. Breakfast provisions are provided for one morning but these provisions were generous. Wood fire was beautiful and Steve restocks wood supply every day. Definitely recommend. Nothing.
- Megan (9/5): -
- Giugno (10/5): Great location with historic buildings and warm welcome - Liked the friendly welcome and always exceptionally helpful with any request. N/A
- Samone (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (9/5): Would highly recommend this place for a country-like getaway feel without being too far out from Adelaide CBD. - It was a beautiful stay, with a completely homey-cottage feel. The accommodation itself was clean and charming, with a beautiful outdoor area and very attentive, responsive, and knowledgeable hosts. We particularly appreciated help with, and having, the fireplace, and also the very abundant breakfast. The shower door gets slightly stuck, and I would probably suggest including bins in the bedrooms too. But that is probably all; every other amenity that was mentioned was available.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicki (10/5): Very comfortable, peaceful, great host. - Beautifully restored, private and very comfortable accommodation. Lots of character, from the pot belly stove to the 4-poster bed overlooking the surrounding landscape. Well stocked kitchen.
Our host made sure we had everything we needed including firewood, suggested routes and places to eat.
Well located for day trips to the Barossa, Adelaide Hills and Victor Harbour.

The place is very nice and perfect for a romantic getaway.
The owner was very nice and friendly The bathroom was very clean but for some reason there was a smell of urine.
There's no smart TV so the movie options are limited.
- Deb (10/5): Loved every moment and would return in a flash. - Morialta Barnes;
Amazing comfort in spectacular surrounds, beautifully restored heritage listed sandstone Barnes.
A fantastic location for access to the Morialta Conservation Park (lovely walks), numerous wineries & local eateries, with quick/easy access to Adelaide city.
We could not fault our hosts knowledge/suggestions for walks, wineries, eateries and the 'local' (hotel) with extraordinary sunset views.

- Marlene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional....highly recommended to visit. - Everything was just perfectly beautiful and the peaceful location was glorious. So much history in one place. A beautiful mini-retreat before a big week ahead. Nothing to fault at all. Attention to detail was noticed. From the big to the small. And loved the greeting from the host as well as the historical run down as we entered the Bakery. Much love has been poured in to making it a home away from home. Hosts were wonderful to communicate with also. Everything was just wonderful.

- Daniel (10/5): Had a great time exploring the hills - Serenity
- Sheldon (8/5): Very good -
- Kadina (8/5): The room and views were stunning. The owner was super friendly and accommodating. Nearby restaurants are good. The only - Beautiful inside and out. Comfortable bed, amazing ensuite. All the amenities you could need. We arrived on a very hot weekend (38-40•) and unfortunately there was only a portable cooler and fan to cool the room. Portable cooler was very loud and so sleeping was hard, it also didn’t cool the room to a temperature that was comfortable to be in. The owner did explain that they couldn’t install an air conditioner due to heritage listing which is a shame because the property itself is amazing.
- Tracey (10/5): Unbelievably beautiful. Unbelievably clean. Great open communications prior to our stay. Would not hesitate to recommend - Everything. Couldn’t find a fault Absolutely nothing
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully restored barns, exceptional hosts, generous breakfast
- Sharon (9/5): Great property, lovely character and great host - Wonderful renovated barns, property had great character and was beautifully presented. Early morning visit from Kangaroos and a local residing Koala nearby were a bonus for us NZers The windows were a little drafty in the wind.
- Laure (10/5): A peaceful oasis - Our stay at Morialta Barns was exceptional. Nestled in a beautiful hillside, surrounded by nature. The way the sun filters through this oasis from morning to evening is truly magical. The warm hospitality, comfy beds, well appointed and clean accomodations, were just a few of the highlights. Breakfast was thoughtfully provided in the room, including some fresh produce from the property. Cannot fault our stay, we can’t wait to recommend Morialta Barns to our friends and family.
- David (10/5): Great stay just for others booking local pub not open Monday and Tuesday and no other eating venues within walking dista - Lovely all aspects Nothing
- Michelle (10/5): Great place to stay - Beautiful property, very clean, and great host
- Skidmore (10/5): Great escape from the city - The "BAKERY " was a great place to stay for a restfully weekend. The loft was a nice European feel . As i had a disabled client with me , the owners were very accomadating and helpful with our needs.
