- Marion (10/5): - A proper B&B in a quiet convenient location. A personal and warm welcome, comfortable bed and bedroom furniture, variety of homemade slices, generous bathroom supplies, bed turn down with chocolate, and a freshly cooked breakfast to start the next day's travel. Great to be able to re-chill the esky contents we were travelling with. Thank you Sandy and Laurie Nothing to dislike
- Simpson (8/5): A lovely stay in an old-style B&B with welcoming hosts. - Great breakfast. Limited variety, but served absolutely fresh-cooked, Large servings and delivered with a smile and a chat by hosts, Sandie & Laurie.
Hosts very personable and always on for a bit of a yarn. They are almost "locals", after about 20 years in Gilgandra, so they know a lot about the town and district and are willing to share it with their guests. They shared a bit of the history of "Chinnock", my birthplace when it was a Private Hospital, hence the nostalgia return-visit.
Decor is lovely authentic olde-worlde style, with some genuine antique pieces, throughout.
Room was comfortable, if a little crowded with furnture. Air-Con had been thoughtfully turned on before we arrived, so the room was lovely and cool in the midst of a heatwave. Bed was comfortable and linen top grade. We have absolutely no complaints

- Bertie (9/5): No ghosts but a very pleasant hostess - A delightful host and hostess made this overnight stop very comfortable. Our hostess was very understanding as to why we were two hours behind our expected time of arrival - our fault completely. She went out of her way to smooth our emotions and make us feel welcome. (The schooner at the local RSL, a short walk down the street also helped to calm.) Breakfast started our next day off very nicely and prepared us for the next leg of our trip. I was disappointed that the ghosts did not make their presence felt. (Chinnock is the old hospital and our room had been the operating theatre!)
- Robyn (8/5): Very good - Lovely comfortable bed. Beautifully laid out breakfast. Lovely attentive host Not much
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional - Great value fir money; amazing host; and a scrumptious breakfast. Nothing

Gilgandra has a lovely river walk and it was a beautiful evening to explore the sites and lovely to come back to a cup of tea sit on the Veranda and enjoy some of Sandyâs home-made treats . The house has a very interesting history and we slept soundly, very comfortable bed and in the morning a cooked breakfast was included. As a bonus we bought some of Lorieâs home-made honey, loved being able to look out the window to the hives! Highly recommend

- Barbara (10/5): I wish all b&b's are like this one - Booked 1 night in a double room with ensuite @$150/ night.
Lovely Chinnock B&B is located 1 street back from the main street, with the Services Club down the end of the street. On site parking.
A very friendly and informative check in with Sandy. Chinnock, we were told, was the old hospital & so this is an older heritage type building with lots of charm.
Our room is the old operating theatre.
We had our afternoon tea, with home made treats provided by Sandy, on the enclosed verandah off our room.
Our room is very comfortable with an openable window to the side of the building overlooking the garden. There is air con, but we didn't use it. Wifi is fast and can be relied on. There is a bar fridge, a courtesy tray, a tv.
The ensuite works well, with a spacious shower & plenty of toilettries & towels provided.
There is a separate entrance for the B&B area from the main entrance for the house. Keys provided.
The bed is very comfortable, the area quiet & we slept so well.
Next morning breakfast was held in the dining room at the agreed time. It was a full English breakfast. So generous with lots of fresh produce, & all beautifully cooked too. After breakfast Sandy & Laurie joined us for a chat
This b&b provided everything we needed in a lovely home with great charm. We would certainly stay here again & I wish more b&b's were like it! n/a

- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Welcoming, advice for dinner, and excellent breakfast
- Trish (6/5): a comfortable and welcoming BnB in need of better housekeeping and more warmth in winter. - Sandy was very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was most satisfactory and there were generous amounts of homemade afternoon tea goodies and chocolates. the beds were comfy and the ensuite very good. the off street parking was very convenient to the entrance. the sunroom that linked the guest bedrooms was very cold at night for the rooms using the shared bathroom. the smaller queen room adjoining the lounge room was difficult to keep warm at night. The lounge room had a fireplace, but no fire. there were a lot of ornaments etc and dust and cobwebs detracted from the appeal.
