Guest Reviews
- Melinda (10/5): -
- Ed (10/5): Great short stay and will definitely do again. Great views and great restaurants nearby. Host was very accommodating a - Felt like a touch of Italy in Australia. Great surrounds and feeling of serenity which enabled great relaxation. Nothing
- Eran Kawinda (10/5): - Beautiful interior design and stunning views. A very peaceful and enjoyable stay in Red Hill.
- Tony (10/5): -
- Anita (9/5): - Great location, easy access to wineries, restaurants, beaches. Lovely local walks, cafe and bottle shop. Host was lovely, good communication. Very comfortable accommodation.

- Simon (10/5): A picturesque stay in Redhill. - The property was absolutely stunning, a truly picturesque setting to see in the New Year.
- Pedelik (10/5): - Beautiful location, perfect amenities, clean
- Levi (10/5): Romantic getaway - Very comfortable stay. Beautiful views. The pool was amazing
- Emilia (9/5): Beautiful Peaceful Retreat - Very lovely stay. Tanya was fantastic. The vila has everything you need for a nice peaceful stay. Views are to die for, I had a lovely cheese board and there were heaps of snacks in the cupboard/fridge. Bed was a little on the soft side but still very comfortable!
- Joanna (9/5): short break in the vines - We loved the location and views from the property. The room was comfortable and bathroom very spacious.
The breakfast and fruit was generous and the wine and cheese much appreciated. Thank you The bed was a bit too soft for me but everything else was great.
- Beaumont (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - We had a wonderful stay here.
Luxurious, attention to detail, spectacular views.
Perfect couples getaway.
- Barry (10/5): Relaxing and luxurious . - The attention to detail . The beautiful furnishing
, and host . Amazing view .
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (7/5): Not quite good enough. - Beautiful views Had to park a distance away from apartment. No where to hang wet towels and swimmers. One light in the bedroom would not turn off.
Breakfast provisions- the Pepe Saya butter which I use all the time was well past it's use by date, the coffee was tasteless, the fruit was mainly under-ripe and 4 eggs are not sufficient for a 3 night stay for two people.
The blurb fails to mention that the swimming pool is in front of the owners private residence. And it fails to mention in the description that you will be charged a $110 cleaning fee on top of the accommodation fee. This along with a $500 bond are not mentioned until after one has paid the non-refundable accommodation charge. Two weeks after my stay I had to ask for my refund as was told that the manager had had a lot on.
In summary more attention to detail is required.
- Ming (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keith (10/5): Fabulous accomodation in a lovely area with stunning views. -
- H (7/5): Good - Beautiful location, the place is wonderful and a nice getaway! Pool is not private as per advertisement nor is there pool view from the villa where you stay. It’s actually part of the main house property where the owners live and probably 200 metres walk.
The owners kept coming out and there were kid noises and dogs so we felt very uncomfortable being there.
If I had known this, I probably wouldn’t have stayed there.
- Heath (10/5): Amazing oroperty - The suite was amazing, well appointed, very clean and has everything you needed.
The food on arrival was generous, high quality.
The host was super friendly, very helpful and added to the experience To be honest, hard to find anything that was not great.
- Alysha (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely breathtaking, little Tuscany in redhill. Stunning view, we received a cheese platter and bottle of wine on arrival that were both incredible, luxurious interior with so many nice little touches and the hosts were so welcoming and lovely and the location is surrounded by so many beautiful other wineries.
Will definitely be back!
- Zach (9/5): Superb - Beautiful accomodations on a picturesque vineyard in a lovely area
- Pavan (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (10/5): Fantastic - It is expensive but worth the view, location and the accommodation itself was impeccable.
- Caroline (10/5): Perfect romantic getaway. We would definitely recommend. - Our stay was lovely, we had everything we needed, and the location was perfect to visiting the wineries.
- Jack (7/5): Stunning views and cute guesthouse that’s well appointed. - Stunning views of the bay and also of the vineyard itself. Guesthouse is cute and the cheese and wine were nice. Host is welcoming. Bed is one of the more uncomfortable I’ve slept in. Dead animal heads aren’t my thing, especially the big deer head over the bed head. Blinds on the toilet and shower windows would be nice as you’re quite exposed, especially at nighttime.
- Charissa (10/5): Luxury and comfort in a gorgeous setting - Styling of the villa, attention to detail...thoughtful toiletries, cheese platter and breakfast staples to the cosiness and comfort of the furnishings and bedding...location to wineries was excellent No wi fi and $500 bond to be paid in cash
- Hannah (10/5): Perfect getaway for a couples retreat. - The room we stayed in was absolutely stunning and the views were exceptional. Plenty of food for us stocked in the fridge for our stay also.. Tania literally thought of everything to keep us comfortable.
- Mary (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (10/5): Beautiful couples retreat - We could not have asked for a more beautiful setting for our short honeymoon. The hosts were easy to communicate with and helpful throughout our stay. Exquisite decor throughout the villa.
- Tiina (10/5): Heavenly - I liked it all! This place is lake private comfortable quiet heaven 💫
- Craig (10/5): Simply Superb! - It is hands down Mornington Peninsula’s little piece of Tuscany! We came for a wedding anniversary for only 20 mins away in Mornington. When you drive through the gate it was like a journey through a time & place portal. Fantastic privacy, pool and wines from the vineyard. Magnificent host! Nothing
- Aram (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanne (10/5): A really special stay! - Property is beautifully landscaped and so peaceful. Gorgeous views. The bed was so comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud.
- Kelly (10/5): Lux accomodation in an idyllic setting. Pure Bliss - Tranquil, private, beautiful surrounds.
Wonderful host I loved everything!
- Mai (10/5): A luxurious and restorative weekend away under the Tuscan sun - Everything about this place is incredible. There’s nothing no to like about it . The view is breathtaking. The accommodation is so luxurious but also the attention to detail is next level. We loved that the kitchen was super functional, great pans for cooking, great condiments, amazing homewear.
We were also treated to lots of breakfast food, of very high strandard, yummy sourdough bread, organic honey from the garden, fruits and snacks.
The linen was so soft, and of very high standard and the bed incredible confortable. The fire place was very easy to use and super enjoyable after a dip in the pool. We loved also the surroundings were covered in lavender.
The sense of peace this place brings overall is like no other places we have ever been to.
- Xavier (10/5): Exceptional -
- Callum (9/5): Superb - The location and facilities at Frog Pond were spot on. We were provided with all the essentials and more to get us through a couple of quiet lazy days. The view from both the living area and bathroom was incredible. The landscape maintenance crew started at 8am with the mower which was unexpected (which the owner apologised for).
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional - There was nothing not to like, felt like you were in another country. 🙂🙂😀😃 Nothing at all, it was heaven.
- Holly (10/5): Absolutely tranquil, magnificent, stunning view & grounds. Highly recommend and such beautiful and friendly hosts. T -
- Suraindra (9/5): Superb - The breakfast and food provided (cheese plate and seasonal fruit) were lovely. Beautiful property and very central to all the best sights/wineries in the peninsula.
- Paul (10/5): An exceptional location for an incredible view! Service from Tania and Natasha above and beyond! - Thank you Tania and Natasha for all your extra attention. My wife really enjoyed her birthday.
The guest house was outstanding and even the place in general is beautiful.
It's perfect for having a break and recharge the batteries.
We'll definitely come back!
- Daniel (4/5): Promised so much but fell well short of expectations. - The host is generous with breakfast provisions and local nibbles but then that is what I would expect for $650.00 a night in a regional area of Victoria. However ; there is no coffee for the plunger only pods of an unknown source and of low quality; no dishwasher which makes following the rules to stack the dishwasher before leaving a tad difficult; no sugar but a minute amount of honey; poor wi-fi; heavy high curtains on rings and rods which even at 190cm and built like a rugby forward were impossible for me to slide across for privacy from the couple in the next unit roaming the grass outside of ours. It's a disgrace that at the high prices sought for the room there is an added cleaning fee of $110.00 which is deducted from a non-negotiable bond of $500 which is demanded after booking within, in my case, 7 hours, on a Sunday, or the booking will be cancelled!!!!!
One would have thought that cleaning would be included but lesson learnt I won't be suckered by that same ruse in the future.
The furniture and decorations are twee and trite and the wi-fi is awful.
Animal heads and skulls with horns attached as wall ornaments may be decorative in some locations but it added a note of the macabre to what is promoted as a romantic setting. Each to their own I suppose.
The room is festooned with numerous objet d'art but none one would wish to have at home.
The views are nice but best enjoyed from the bath or the toilet. Sitting on the front deck requires locating cushions in the cupboard for the extremely uncomfortable chairs which are in full view of all guests arriving or those using their patio 20 metres away.
The pool may be private to the property but access from frogs pond would have required walking past the other guests patio and then being in view of all guests and owners. Hardly what is sought in a couples escape. (perhas I'm just not enough of an exhibitionist).
The keys provided did not work the locks easily and required a significant effort to pull the door into the jamb to get it to turn which made opening any door for fresh air and when leaving a hassle each time.
- Kate (10/5): A perfect weekend away in wine country - We were blown away by Frogs Pond - the view over the vineyards and ocean is stunning. The cottage was cozy, with lots of nice touches, like complimentary wine and snacks - everything had been thought of to make it a perfect weekend away.
- Marina (10/5): peaceful, relaxing, private, amazing - The property is breath taking. Everything i needed was available. Samantha was welcoming and I was left alone to enjoy my stay. I was so relaxing. I'll be back again. I loved everything
- Smart (10/5): Flawless and so relaxing, the perfect weekend escape. - Such a beautiful and tranquil location. Every detail was thought out, the breakfast, the cheese board, the wine. Looking over the vineyard was just beautiful. We cancelled our dinner plans to stay in and enjoy the view- it was that good! Maybe one of the best stays we’ve had. I can’t fault Frogs Pond, We will be coming back again.
- Damuel (10/5): Exceptional - This beautiful hidden secret was simply heaven.
I could not fault it in any way.
From the owners, the views, the comfort and the beautiful wine. I will return many more times to come.💛💛💛 Could not fault one single thing!!
- David (10/5): Great host lovely place peaceful great views , reason why we have come back, oh and great wine 😊 - All u needed was there and Fresh Liked All
- Shannon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent provisions, fresh eggs and fruit, local produce. We enjoyed it very much.
- Cursio (10/5): Outstandingly beautiful, exceptionally divine. - I took my partner away for her 40th birthday to the peninsula for an extended long weekend getaway. I selected Frogs Pond based on some of the images I could see on booking.com. Upon arrival I was thrilled to see that the images did not do the beauty of the accommodation justice. We were greeted on arrival by Nastasha who was truly the most gracious and hospitable hostess. The view from the backyard alone is worth the price of admission! The elevated position of the property ensures a clear view of the bay all the way across to the CBD. Truly stunning all the way down to the little things like fresh local honey, sourdough bread, cheese, butter, eggs and of course the amazing wine produced on the property itself. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mm (9/5): Superb - Tania was fantastic, the property was excellent
- Dean (10/5): Very pleasant stay. Very accommodating hosts. Very private and quiet just the way we like it. would definitely stay agai - Very private, secluded and quiet Nothing
- Rocco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Tanya’s hospitality was outstanding. Very welcoming and friendly host. The property was absolutely breath taking and was the perfect place to unwind and relax. Would stay again!
- Shefer (10/5): Exceptional property for a quiet stay - The hospitality was on a very high level, exceptional property, very stylish and comfy. Also there was a selection of cheese, wine, and bread to enjoy. The house itself gives off Tuscany vibes, very beautiful. We loved the place a lot and would definitely come back.
- Holland (3/5): great location but not good value for money - very basic. some yogurt in the fridge with milk and some mueseli rude member of staff
bed too soft and unsupportive
pillows to firm
do not drink rose wine
had a smart TV that was unlinkable to the internet so could not snuggle up to watch a movie
- Dee-ann (10/5): The perfect getaway to unwind and relax in luxury with privacy - was very luxurious and private with great views and the perfect place to relax
- Samuel (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (8/5): Very good - great detail in the fixture and fittings, very relaxing with great views with the cost of the stay i was very disappointed that i was charged for cleaning from the bond.
this i think was not what i would have expected, more so when i cleaned before i left, washed plates and glass, that fact there was no washing up liquid.
- Helena (10/5): Wonderful stay- highly recommended - Beautiful place to stay, it felt like we were away somewhere in Tuscany. The room was so charming and clean and it had such wonderful touches. The host was so lovely and made us feel right at home. We have already recommended to friends and family and will be back again soon. Nothing
- Rodney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Stylish and superbly finished with stunning view across the bay. - Everything about the property is top quality from the room finishes to the wedgewood china. Beautiful location looking down over the vines , across the bay with the CBD in the distance. very quiet and peaceful. The hosts provide thoughtful touches including bottles of their wine, top notch snacks, and lovely room amenities. Nothing to not like.
- David (10/5): The best place I've stayed at in the area .... Tania was an amazing host - Perfect and beautiful accommodation attention to detail in every way Nothing
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aryana (8/5): Loved the view. Priceless - Lovely stay and wish I could have had more time there.
Wine was exceptional!!
- Abdul (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carolyn (10/5): A perfect countryside escape - Such a beautiful place to stay at with breathtaking views (the vineyards, peninsula coast, and even the city at the far horizon when weather is good); the guest house was cozy and elegant, breakfast contains plenty options, and the hosts are very warm and friendly.
- Piero (9/5): If you want to experience a memorable couple of days stay here - It would be hard to find fault with Frogs Pond. Tania is very accommodating and helped us with recommendations for lunch dinner and vineyards not to be missed. Without her detailed knowledge our visit to Mornington would have been a very different experience. Wi-Fi is intermittent from bedroom
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Simply Stunning! - Stunning location, beautiful suite elegantly styled and appointed with sumptuous textures, furniture, and linen. All the little details you could possibly imagine for a 5 star+ stay. Incredible view over the vineyards towards the bay with Melbourne in the distance. So quiet and private with access to a beautiful pool surrounded my lush grass and lavender bushes. I could go on! Everything exceeded our expectation.
- Gerard (10/5): A beautiful restful place to get away near some very good restaurants. - This property was gorgeous. The views were spectacular. The small style villa reminded me of likeness of something similar in Europe. There were a couple of small things that we are usually used to, such as good internet and a dish washer, but this did not take away from the wonderful stay we had.
- Megan (9/5): Stunning views in a Tuscan inspired studio - Stunning views of vines and the bay! A Tuscan inspired studio beautifully decorated. The bath tub was amazing! The extras exceeded our expectations and the complimentary bottle of their own Rose was a nice touch! The owner was very helpful and friendly. There was no internet during our 3 night stay. The owner did apologize and I believe it was out of her control to fix, especially at this time of the year.
We both found the bed and pillows a bit too soft for us and didn’t sleep very well at all - a shame, as we loved everything about the studio!
- Jenna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenji (10/5): That view! - The view has to be one of the best on the peninsula! It is breathtaking. The design, finish and furnishings of the separate unit are of excellent quality. Loved the addition of complementary cheeses and other tasty foods.
- Sarah (10/5): wonderful escape to Tuscan style villa - The view was exceptional, the room was equipped with a fantastic breakfast and snacks. the bath tub was amazing
- Heidi (9/5): Beautiful place, stunning views and fabulous service -
- Harrison (9/5): Superb -
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natasa (10/5): Amazing experience - We loved everything. Great views and fantastic accomodation. And the hosts are exceptional. We were greeted with selection of cheese and wine. Breakfast also provided. More than We expected
Will be back for sure 😀
- Meg (10/5): Amazing! We will be back for sure :) - Everything! That we had to leave
- Jane (8/5): Very good -
- Simone (9/5): Superb -
- Matt (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zachery (10/5): If you’re after amazing service and elegant stay then I highly recommend Frogs Pond. We’ll definitely be back. - Everything. All of the little details made our stay amazing. Tania was unreal and super helpful during our trip. Their home grown Pinot Noir was next level.
- Kristina (10/5): AmazIng getaway - We wanted to get away and switch off from a busy lifestyle and we couldn’t have picked a better property to do it at. The property is just stunning and the place was very cozy with the most amazing views. Tania was so welcoming and had the pantry filled with snacks, local produce and amazing cheese and wine for us to try. Loved the Frog pond Wine. We hope to be back soon N/a
- Saman (10/5): Great experience, would come back again! - Loved being greeted by the host on arrival and departure it felt very much like home. Loved that amenities were complimentary in our stay and the place was very clean. Not to mention the stunning views and the kangaroos on the property during our stay. That we could not find milk-frother to froth our milk for our coffees.
- Litia (1/5): Celebrating 30th birthday- When we arrived we were told to get the keys from the main house. We knocked loud for a good - The location was beautiful with views of the winery and the peninsula Celebrating 30th birthday- When we arrived we were told to get the keys from the main house. We knocked loud for a good 5 minutes, dog barking inside the house before we got an answer from the host. She apologised and asked why we didn’t use the bell. the bell didn’t work that’s why-she said maybe the maintenance man tripped it and she didn’t know. Tania then took us out to the suite. There were local produce cheeses, wine and little extras we could have which was nice. Little did I know I was going to have food poisoning the whole weekend from it. On Saturday I was in the bathroom all day as I couldn’t keep food in. We couldn’t go out and explore as I needed the bathroom every 10 minutes. And for the life of me I couldn’t think of why I was feeling so sick until Sunday morning when we were leaving. As I couldn’t stomach anything, I only wanted to eat something cold so I had another yoghurt expired 26/06. We stayed from 01/07. I’ve been eating expired yoghurt for two days without knowing. I was sick for another 3 days after we got home. We told Tania as we left and she seemed very very apologetic. Saying she had no idea, it was the cleaner’s fault as they should have replenished the fridge. She offered another weekend for us on her expense. We said we won’t put up a review as we her hoping she will redeem herself on our second stay.
We booked for 16-18 September back in July and on Tuesday 13/09 she sent an sms saying we couldn’t come as she is sick in Covid-19 and to let her know if there is another day in September we could come. The only other weekend in September is the long weekend and we’ve already made plans. I replied saying I would rather much want my refund as I have now wasted two weekends and am certainly not risking another third weekend. It’s now 17/09 with no response from Tania. I searched and the property was showing the Suite booked and the Villa available.
From our first encounter with Tania we found that it’s never Tania’s...
