James delivered us a loaf of his home made bread, so thoughtful.
Just excellent accommodation and hosts, so luck to have experienced it.
and a bonus was Ingrid allowing us to arrive early to enable us to change to attend a wedding held early afternoon. Nothing could have been done better

- Shian Maree (10/5): Escape to paradise. - You can not fault them for anything, this place is amazing. Was a wonderful and warm experience with a beautiful aroma of freshly baked bread.
Will happily come back and next time bring the family ❤️ There wasn't a single thing i didn't like, other than me not having enough time to spend there.
- Michael (10/5): Erstklassig! Hervorragend! Spitzenklasse!
- Eva (10/5): Perfect! - Location, Wildlife, Food, Rooms, Hospitality... everything was perfect! Next time we will stay for at least 2 days!
- Brenton (10/5): Amazing hospitality and serene - Absolutely everything, a peaceful retreat with thoughtfully delivered excellence of location, amenity and every detail has been executed with such precision that the experience feels almost curatorial. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the décor warm and intelligently composed, and the food provisioning impressively comprehensive. The surrounding serenity—enhanced by remarkable birdlife—creates an atmosphere ideal for genuine restoration. A flawless location for an intentional wind‑down. We will be back. Not applicable
- Matt (10/5): A wonderful place to stay in Beechmont - Ingrid and James were friendly and very generous hosts. The freshly cooked bread and bottle of wine on arrival were welcoming, and the kitchen was thoughtfully stocked. The accommodation had everythng we needed. The bird life in the backyard was plentiful and varied, and very entertaining, as were the Pretty-faced Wallabies. The views were also outstanding. We wish we'd had another night to spend at La Dolce Vita. Nothing about La Dolce Vita. Just be aware you need to drive back to Canungra if you need any groceries.
- Timon (10/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): Beautiful, peaceful retreat. Will definitely visit again! - Had an amazing stay at La Dolce Vita for my partner’s birthday and Valentine’s Day. Ingrid and James went above and beyond to make it extra special, leaving us a few extra treats. The property is gorgeous, well maintained and very clean. The view from the porch is to die for! The breakfast, tea and coffee selection was great, and the freshly baked bread was just the cherry on top. Will definitely be back!!
- Karin (10/5): A wonderful choice for people who enjoy peaceful surroundings and observing wildlife. - A delightful place to stay with its peaceful and quiet location, the warm welcome from our hosts, bird feeders outside attracting a wide variety of wildlife, and the freshly baked bread with a very generously stocked kitchen for breakfast. Nothing to dislike.

- Charles (10/5): A far as country bed and breakfasts go this was five stars, highly reccommended. - An unexpected surprise for sure! Comfortable, clean and well stocked kitchenette with plenty of choice for a late night dinner and scrumptious breakfast. Lots of choice in spreads, coffee, and teas, The fridge had fresh eggs and bacon available for breakfast as well as juice and yogurts. The biggest surprise was freshly baked bread on the table at arrival, a real treat. Beautiful view from the comfortable bed and a small courtyard to enjoy the local birdlife and country view. Clean, modern bathroom with plenty of water pressure and provided toiletries. I was only staying the evening and night, however it had plenty of distractions in the room from games to books, the hosts had thought of everything. Great over night before my hiking in the near by Lamington National Park. Nothing, I love it just the way it is :)
- Caroline (10/5): Perfect spot near Binna Burra - Beautiful spot! Spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The hosts were very kind, and I really appreciated the fresh bread! The studio is very well-stocked, they’ve really thought of everything. Sitting in the garden and watching the birds in the morning was so nice, it was hard to leave! Hope I can come back for a longer stay sometime :)
- Kristie (10/5): It felt like a wonderland with animals and birds and all! - We didn’t end up using the bacon and eggs but it was so nice to have it for us. The bread was yummy!
And the wine - NZ Wine was lovely.
And you guys are so generous with what we could use. You had everything! We made a delicious meal and was made very comfortable. Thank you Ingrid and James. Hmmmm, better. It doesn’t get better!
- Karin (10/5): A delightful stay in a quiet abode surrounded by rolling hills - I could absolutely not fault this place. Lovely hosts and a warm and welcoming place with possibly the most well stocked fridge and “brekky pantry” I have ever seen (and that includes my own home)! Some really nice touches like including bird seed for guests to put out onto the bird feeder/house for all the birds who visit in the morning was so thoughtful - I found watching the birds come and go in their different flocks outside the window utterly delightful. My friend and I only stayed a night (to explore nearby Lamington National Park) but I’m sure we will be back!
- Lochery (10/5): -
- Kierin (10/5): A relaxing and very enjoyable stay. - We liked everything. We loved the outlook, the silence, the morning sun and the birds. It was wonderful to arrive to a fully stocked fridge and pantry, with a loaf of James's freshly baked bread on the table. Ingrid's GF lemon and coconut cake was a lovely surprise and beyond delicious, and so kind of her to cater for a coeliac. Great shower and very comfortable beds. The location is convenient for visiting Binna Burra, Canungra and Tambourine.

- c2b (10/5): Comfortable, quiet, wonderful rural aspect and loved the birds. - In one word, La Dolce Vita was "FABULOUS"
In two words, it was "ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS"
And finally in three words, "VERY MANY THANKS" to Ingrid, James and, of course, fluffy puppy Lucy. Am unable to fault our experience.
- Andrei (10/5): - Such an incredible stay with Ingrid and James! The nature, the serenity, and that truly ‘home away from home’ feeling.
- Paul (9/5): Great spot, friendly hosts, peaceful location. - Bed was comfy. Everything was provided. Very clean. Furniture well laid out ensuring plenty of room to move. Bird seed provided to feed the wild birds. A bit of a drive (15 minutes) to nearest shops/town - Canungra!
- Herrad (10/5): A beautiful, quiet and clean place with lovely hosts. - The location was very beautiful. It was a very quiet spot, ideal to relax. Nevertheless, it was close to Gold Coast and to other shopping facilities. The hosts were very friendly, we felt welcome.
- Julia (10/5): Wir wären so gern länger geblieben. Absolut empfehlenswert! - Alles perfekt!
- Nutku (10/5): It was a home away from home! - Our hosts provided us with a generous and comprehensive selection of foods, drinks, fruit, fresh eggs and bacon and especially loaves of home baked bread every morning as well as fresh made jam. We had bird seed for fantastic morning entertainment by birds of every description, gorgeous scented grounds from the fruit trees and flowering shrubs that litter the property. It was extremely private with gorgeous quiet surrounding country. Would recommend to anyone wishing for a perfect slice of heaven! A longer stay☺️
- Wendy (10/5): Would recommend to anyone! - Probably the best place we’ve stayed at, everything & I mean everything was catered for, we both wished we had booked for longer.
The owners are just lovely.

- T (10/5): -
- Hodge (10/5): -
- Maksim (10/5): This place is simply magnificient! - It’s the best place we have ever stayed during our holidays.
Unfortunately, on the day before arrival we were delayed in a national park and arrived quite late in the evening. We were tired and hungry, and we didn’t have a chance to buy any food on the way — but Ingrid and James had already taken care of everything! It was such a wonderful surprise to find various products and ready-to-cook meals waiting for us in the fridge, along with fresh bread on the table.
We are a young couple living far away from our parents, but at that moment we felt truly cared for — as if our mom and dad were waiting to welcome us home. Thank you so much for that warmth and care!
At 5 a.m. the next morning, we woke up to the beautiful singing of birds. It was impossible to stay in bed while the magnificent sunrise was beginning! We brewed some coffee and sat outside, watching the sunrise and the birds. We saw kangaroos, cows, many parrots and other birds. Afterwards, we enjoyed having breakfast outdoors.
This was one of the best experiences of our lives. Thank you, dear Ingrid and James! We will definitely come back. ...

We also got a freshly baked loaf of bread and a bottle of wine... you couldn't really ask for anything more. There is also a gorgeous dog called Lucy who greets you when you get there. There is a bird-feeder you may refill, in the morning we've got visited by sulphur-crested and pink cockatoos and lorikeets. That was an amazing experience for our first day in Australia.
