- Kathryn (9/5): - Andrew was such a great welcoming host and was so proud to show me around their beautiful home. Amanda provides the best breakfast and everything is so thoughtfully and carefully presented. Absolutely fabulous. I really enjoyed staying there. It was warm, comfortable and clean. I wasn't real keen about parking by the side of the main road, but it was well lit.
- John (9/5): charming, convenient old world luxury - excellent N/A
- Anthony (10/5): Hosts were very warm and welcoming. - Charming comfortable and excellent value

- Karen (9/5): Palm House is a delightful Heritage home with beautiful features throughout the whole home. It is v - Its calmness and peacefulness. Nothing really.
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Colleen (9/5): Lovely stay - Garden, comfy bed, breaky No dislikes
- Joanne (9/5): Great for a slow down. - My sister has a lot of food allergies. We sent the safety list, and they accommodated her needs.
They came to personally check if it met her needs. Palmhouse is the type of place you can really wind down and slow down.
The breakfast is fresh and generous. The drawing room is a great place for having a slow breakfast.
The weather was mild, but in the cooler months nothing would be nicer than to curl up with a glass of red on the chesterfield and enjoy the fire.
The garden is a classic cottage style, plenty of places to sit and enjoy the sun. Getting the shower temperature right was tricky.
- Lyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Fabulous stay. We’ll be back! - Beautiful historic property and garden with wonderful hosts.
- Dina (8/5): Spectacular period home. - Spectacular period home with wonderful hosts and extremely warm and comfortable. Located within minutes walk to the heart of town. For the price, I would have expected a TV in my room and electric blanket. Sharing a TV with other guests and having to use the shared lounge was uncomfortable.
- Jennifer (10/5): Lovely property, excellent hosts. - Beautiful place to stay
- Mark (8/5): Very good - Peaceful surroundings. Quality breakfast. Private bathroom. Pillows were too hard. No TV in the room.
- Stephanie (8/5): very welcoming a warm feeling to the house just enjoy the serenity. - breakfast basket was absolutely amazing, very welcoming, Maldon was gorgeous place to visit, the garden the property is situated on is absolutely stunning. Highly recommend Palm house it has a lot of history to it. Also once your done cooking your breakfast go sit outside on the back porch and enjoy the serenity you don't ever want to leave trust me. Thank you Andrew the only small downfall if you are in the first room you will hear all the traffic early morning.
- Penny (9/5): A beautiful old house and garden in the heart of historic Maldon. Fabulous hosts. Marvellous weekend - Beautiful house and garden. Within walking distance of the town entre. Lovely hosts. Couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast hampers were great but having someone cook a breakfast for us would have been better.
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Carmel (5/5): Okay, but will not book again. - Location was good, just a short walk into the town of Maldon. Lovely gardens.
Host was personable, though only saw him once. Rooms were passable, dark and gloomy interior, mattress not very comfortable. Heavy doona cover and no lightweight alternative.
Breakfast was a basket of goods with provisions to cook own breakfast. I would have preferred to have breakfast cooked for me as is the norm in most B&Bs.
Toilet didn’t flush well. No fresh towels provided, one hand towel and two towels provided for both of us for a two night stay.
- Michelle (10/5): Historic elegant home you never want to leave - immaculate historic house. Lovely hosts and very cosy and warm. Delightful breakfast and nothing is too much trouble. Gorgeous furnishings and beautiful dining room/lounge to relax in. Nothing, I can’t fault it

- Emma (10/5): WOuld stay again - WOnderful, more than enough. Fresh bread and herbs, bacon and eggs and piping hot croissants.
- Deanna (7/5): all in all it was good, great hosts and good locale next to the Main Street - location and breakfast was great could have been cleaner behind the bed, dead flies and musty smell
- Spencer (8/5): Very good - Location, decor and breakfast provided. Dust evident on ceiling fans, paint peeling badly in bathroom. No TV in bedroom.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay Mattresses could have been better
- Danielle (10/5): Great stay! Great hosts! Highly recommended. - Great period home with magnificent antique furniture and items of decor. Amanda and Andrew are very welcoming hosts, friendly and thoughtful. The breakfast basket was well above our expectations: we were amazed by the abundance, freshness and variety of its contents; we could not eat it all, but what we had was delicious and so well presented. Palm House location - in walking distance of the centre of Maldon and with easy drives to Castlemaine and Bendigo - is hard to beat. We also greatly enjoyed sitting on the verandah admiring the lush garden below, as well as wandering through it. Although the property is on the main road through Maldon, it was very quiet at night, so no problem with sleeping. The shower cubicle in our bathroom was rather small. Not much elbow room in there! It is however a minor point given all the other wonderful attributes of the property and its owners.

Personable hosts who thoughtfully prepare the accommodation, and breakfast provisions exceeded expectations with freshly made baked goods, local condiments and a bunch of flowers and herbs from the garden.
