• Anco (9/5): Boven verwachting. Voortreffelijk - Erik en Hilde zijn enorm gastvrij en betrokken. We waren bij hen tijdens Pasen. Het ontbijt was zo luxe en lekker. We waren onder de indruk. Verse broodjes, zelfgebakken taartjes, zalm, kaasjes, vleeswaren. Verse sappen. En een paashaas. Op de kamer water en paaseitjes. Verder koffie, thee met koekjes. Wijn, bier en fris op de gang. Compleet verzorgd en ontzorgd. We vinden de omgeving niet bijzonder. Alleen het plaatsje De Haan is gezellig.

Erik and Hilda were wonderful knowledgeable hosts where nothing was too much. Erik explained lots of tips to us for visiting Bruges I.e parking/ things to see etc. They also went above and beyond when we lost a bag on the last day calling local bars for us to retrieve it!! I can’t write a review and not mention the breakfast- the best ever, plentiful supply of local and homemade products. Would definitely recommend and stay again!!! Nothing!!!

• Gunther (10/5): B&B om zeker nog eens terug te keren. - 3x genoten van een lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt met vers appelsiensap. Koffiekoeken en verschillende soorten brood waren iedere dag aanwezig alsook vers fruit,yoghurt en verschillende soorten kaas en vlees.Ook zelfgemaakte confituren en zelfgemaakt appelgebak was beschikbaar. De kamers waren van alle comfort voorzien en zeer hygiënisch. Onze fietsen konden we opladen en mochten we in de afgesloten garage zetten. Ook nog een woord van dank voor Erik en Hilde die de B&B met hart en ziel beheren. Wij hebben van de eerste tot de laatste minuut genoten van ons verblijf en we kijken uit om zeker nog eens terug te keren. Niks

Wir bekamen ein fantastisches Frühstück, das Zimmer war sehr sauber und komfortabel und wir können diese B&B sehr empfehlen. Die Lage ist ideal zwischen dem Meer und Brügge.

• Iryna (10/5): Magnifique B&B avec des hôtes de gentillesse extraordinaire - + belle maison de campagne entre De Haan et Brugge -propriétaires d’une gentillesse incroyable, on se sent pratiquement comme chez des amis, j’ai même reçu un produit à appliquer pour mon problème de dos, super sympa 😊 + propreté exceptionnelle, on peut littéralement manger par terre + petit déjeuner à tomber par terre, plus que complet et avec des produits locaux et de qualité, confiture maison magnifique !!! + chambre belle, confortable +SDB nickel, tout est ultra moderne + calme absolu, belle vue +On peut profiter d’un beau jardin din et lézarder au soleil 😎 - rien. • Tatjana (10/5): - Wir waren ca. eine Woche im B&B Waterput 1. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag exellent und vor allem jedesmal anders. Es gab Tipps für Ausflüge und abends hat man auf ein Glas Wein zusammengesessen. Die Herzlichkeit von Erik und Hilde hat unseren Urlaub noch verschönert. • Sheila (10/5): Perfect place for a weekend getaway - Erik and Hilde are exceptional hosts. Not only was the place spotless, the breakfast top notch but it was also nice and quiet. They gave us tips for parking in Brugge, good spots to visit and they were very friendly. On top of that they are LGBTQ+ friendly and made us feel very well taken care of. Een prachtige ruime kamer , met zithoek onder het dakvenster , een kleine bibliotheek met inspirerende kunstboeken , een meer dan gastvrije gastheer en gastvrouw waar je bij thuiskomt en elke morgen een ontbijt serveren dat meer een brunch dan een ontbijt is . • Pascale Vanaudenhove (8/5): Het is een geweldige plaats om even tot rust te komen. - Hele mooie B&B. Alles was perfect in orde. Kamer klein maar alles was aanwezig. Ontbijt was heel lekker. Er was maar dan genoeg. Gastheer en gastvrouw waren heel gastvrij. Er was geen plaats om ergens te gaan zitten buiten je kamer ( living).
• Natalie (10/5): Lovely B&B, highly recommend - This is a wonderful B&B, very clean and very quiet. The breakfast is excellent, the hosts are super friendly and attentive, and it's a great location between De Haan and Bruges. There is a lovely patio and garden which guests can use and just outside the room are coffee/tea facilities and a small fridge. Parking is free and readily available. We were given maps and tips on where to visit, which was really helpful. Things I personally liked: really comfortable bed and pillows, fluffy towels, great water pressure in the shower, exceptionally clean. Not a criticism, just an observation - different to Germany, there is one large duvet for two people. Excellent location if you are travelling by car or if you enjoy cycling, but maybe a bit out of the way if you are relying on public transportation.

• Marinus (10/5): 2 days at brugge/knokke - The rooms where very well equiped and clean! The location is in a small town, but perfectly situated between brugge/oostende and knokke! All around 15 km drive, so more than enough to do! Eric and Hilde the owners where super friendly and helpfull, and organised a very tastefull and beautifull breakfast, with as an extra regionall products! All very delicious!! For sure we are going to visit them again!!!

They also speak many languages so can cater to all travelers. The rooms were lovely and well outfitted. The breakfast was AMAZING and showcases delicious local and homemade goods. The location is great in a peaceful rural town, just a short drive to the beach or Bruges. Plenty of free street parking. The wifi was hard to get working (there is a difficult to use splash screen), but we weren't there much to use the internet.

• Cristina (10/5): Perfect stay with the perfect hosts - This is by far the best B&B I have ever tried. Every detail you would think of has been above expectations. The house is typical for the region, our room was cosy, confortable and spotless clean. The breakfast was royal, with local and homemade products. I loved Hilde's jams and the ham salad! But the best thing with this B&B are the hosts Erik and Hilde. They truly make you feel like home. Their warmst, their kindness and the discussions over a coffee on the terrace are what B&B is all about. Erik gave us advice on the things to do in the region, the farms where we could buy local cheese and the best icecream place. Our stay with them was just perfect and would love to come back soon.

• Kenneth (10/5): Eric and HIlde at Waterput 1 makes the stay worth more than every penny spent. - Wonderful stay at Waterput 1 B&B! Oh my goodness! Our hosts, Eric and Hinde were very warm, welcoming, friendly, gracious, giving; I could go on and on. But instead staying with them is a great experience that you will tell your friends about it so that they can experience it themselves. It is hard to believe that we were their first Americans to stay with them. Not sure why, other than others didn't do their research and find this diamond of a B&B. I guess the only one thing we didn't like is that we didn't plan our trip to stay longer. But now we know and can plan a longer stay. Even though there is not an elevator, Eric insisted on carrying our bags up the stairs. He wouldn't take no for an answer.

No hotel can do the same. Don't eat anything in advance and don't plan lunch in an expensive restaurant! From Flemish liver pate to Hilde's homemade jams, from Eric's fresh fruit salad to Belgian pastries, from French Croissants to Dutch chocolate sprinkles, Eric and Hilde are the nicest host you can imagine. They always go the extra mile (thanks for lending us -for free- your E-bikes!!) Furthermore, the dining room is a place where people meet from all over the world. It is an experience in itself. • Matouš (9/5): One of the best B&Bs in the world. - Absolutely exceptional hosts Erik and Hilde run the perfect B&B. The rooms are cozy and well furnished. Everywhere is clean and pleasant. The breakfasts are royal and locally sourced. The pastry is especially excellent. E&H also deliver their products to the table ( yogurt with fresh fruit and cereals its from Hilde is 1**** and Erik's zucchini block 1**) If possible, I will definitely come again. It's just that I couldn't stay longer.

The hosts were available to answer any queries and were very helpful. The bed was very, very comfortable and the location quiet. Breakfast was excellent and the local restaurant, in the village, was fantastic. There was nothing we didn't like.
