- Alice (10/5): Lucy's Cottage is simply magnificent. - Absolutely LOVED Lucy's Cottage - it was cosy and quaint and the host Steve was just an utter delight. It was in the perfect location for us, providing the perfect base to lay our heads after plenty of Barossa exploring. The bed was a touch squeaky! But that was it!
- Debra (9/5): -
- Paul (9/5): Highly recommended. - Great location in the heart of Seppeltsfield. A lovely, comfortable cottage. Our friendly host provided us with fresh breakfast supplies and a great bottle of wine from his own cellar.
- Nadine (8/5): We had a fabulous 5 night stay at Lucy’s. - Fabulous location and a beautiful cottage. Breakfast supplies were wonderful and super fresh.
- Phyllis (10/5): Our 2 night stay at Lucy's Cottage in Oct-25 was wonderful. 10/10 - The cottage is charming and perfect for a couple looking to get away for a couple of nights (arrived 10/10/25 - departed 12/10/25) Everything was wonderful including the under floor heating, spacious bedroom and bathroom and comfortable bed. The location fabulous...close to Hentley Farm wines, Tanunda. We chose Lucy's Cottage based on the photos on the website and looking for somewhere to stay close to Seppetsfield as were attending a wedding. We certainly were not disappointed. Steve Hoff is a lovely host and very welcoming. Great property Steve 10/10....we definitely recommend it and will be back to stay. It would have been great if the cook top (when cooking breakfast with the provisions provided by Steve) was gas rather than electric.

- Reza (10/5): Perfect weekend escape - Beautiful location and a fantastic host! Steve is a legend and really enjoyed getting to chat with him over some wine. Appreciated the local recommendations!
- Dwayne (8/5): - Lovely place bath tub would make it Brilliant
- Lucas (10/5): Beautiful and relaxing! - The location was perfect walking distance to multiple wineries / distillery Nothing at all.
- Greer (10/5): Great local hospitality - We had 2 lovely nights at Lucy’s Cottage. It was extremely clean and welcoming. Steve met us on arrival and we had several great chats over the time of our stay and enjoyed trying his wines. The breakfast supplies were fresh, local and plentiful (eggs from the free roaming chickens on the property). The cottage is fitted out well with plenty of kitchen utensils. The location is great and the views gorgeous across the vineyards. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend and stay again if we return to the Barossa. Nothing
- DAVID (10/5): -
- JOHN PAPANICOLAS (10/5): We had an excellent rest for two days in a wonderful and quiet location full of beautiful scenery. - Plenty of variety available. Fresh eggs were great from the chickens on site. Steve was a great host. Plenty of stories were told. Property located to a gin outlet and a cafe and to all necessary requirements. Not spending more time there.
- Alison (10/5): -

- Julie (10/5): A cosy cottage, perfectly suited to use as a base while exploring the wineries in the Barossa Valley. - Such a convenient location with a great ambience. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed - breakfast provisions, fruit and wine included. Absolutely loved the heated flooring and the modern bathroom. Nothing
- Gidman (10/5): The location and stay was amazing, - The location, the cute quiet homely feel, great facilities and host For me the bed was a little soft. But other than that everything was great.
- Leonie (8/5): Friendly and comfortable accommodation , yet quite expensive. - This cottage is atmospheric. You can feel the 1851 vibe, yet the bathroom is five star and totally modern.
Steve is very friendly and full of excellent advice.
We were supplied with eggs from his own chickens and some beautiful smoked bacon, a loaf of bread, orange juice and milk.
The kitchen also has cereal, butter, oil, spreads and everything you need for cooking.
We also were given a complimentary bottle of wine from Steve’s winery and a bowl of fresh fruit.
The floors are heated and the air-conditioner in the bedroom worked very well. We visited in August and were snug.
The views of the surrounding countryside are beautiful.
Close to the road yet quiet. The cottage was very close to the owner’s house.
The TV was neither smart nor large.
The only place to hang clothing was behind the bedroom door on two supplied hangers.
At $300 a night, this is quite an expensive accommodation choice. We are staying in a luxury apartment in Adelaide at the moment for three nights. It costs only $60 more for three nights.

- Bubner (9/5): Cosy little cottage - Really cosy little cottage, very neat and well presented, had everything we needed. Lots of little things that pushed it up in our rating and just made our stay all that more enjoyable like fresh local produce for breakfast, quality linen, towels, kitchenware etc Our host was welcoming and accommodating, offering us free tasting from a selection of wines grown and produced on the property. The location was superb, quiet and out of the way situated in the vineyard but central to the heart of the barossa with many quality wineries and distillery within walking distance. Heritage wines were also top notch. Highly recommend this property for a couples weekend or longer. Nelson the Labrador was also very friendly and welcoming.

- John (10/5): The most charming cottage we’ve ever stayed in - It is a beautiful little cottage. Everything about it was excellent. The breakfast food was so fresh with local eggs, milk and the best bacon we’ve ever eaten. Heated floors, a great shower and so lovely inside it was like living in a fairytale. Leaving. We didn’t want to leave!

The cottage was clean and great attention to detail. The breakfast provisions were delicious and generous. Steve was so friendly and helpful. The only minor detail was the mattress, I kept rolling into the middle of the bed but didn’t impact how wonderful the cottage and location was.
- John (9/5): We're looking forward to coming bacK! - The supplies were excellent, the very old cottage had everything we wanted and had been thoughtfully put together. We didn't realize we were coming to the home of Heritage Winery, and we were doubly pleased with the lovely bottle of Semillon which was in the frig when we arrived. There was nothing we found to be unhappy about. We loved the chickens and the dog, we were close to everything, and
after visiting nearby vineyards it was a pleasure to get back to the Cottage

Steve is an excellent host and accommodated an unusual request for me with no fuss at all. The place is immaculate, and the breakfast provisions were delicious and super fresh- all local produce! Great host, great location! - Our host, Steve, was very friendly and welcoming and kindly offered us a private wine tasting at his Cellar Door upon arrival. He was contactable if needed throughout our stay, but was very respectful of our space and privacy.
The cottage was stocked with everything needed for a short getaway. Generous fresh produce and breakfast provisions were included for us to prepare at our own leisure of a morning.
Location was very handy. Quiet and peaceful setting, but only a 5 minute drive from the main area of Tanunda and many of the local wineries. Bonus was that it was only a 3 min walk to a wine bar and an upmarket restaurant 😊

Steve and his buddy Nelson were wonderful generous hosts as we learned all about the Cottage and area. Steve provided ample breakfast provisions as well as samples of what the property and region has to offer which is always a great additional bonus. But the information folder with hints and tips was extremely helpful. I referenced that folder the entire time, the knowledge of the Barossa that Steve provides is world class. Highly recommend

Great breakfast supplied and very well equipped. A wonderful hairdryer! Sadly the WiFi is unreliable to non-existent.
- Culph (10/5): A perfectly quaint little getaway cottage! - Absolutely perfect location, within 5 minutes to Tanunda and Nuriootpa. The cottage is so beautiful and has that country charm you look for in the Barossa. The owners live on site in the house next door and are so accommodating but not intrusive. Their dog is so friendly too. The rainfall shower and air-conditioning were appreciated during our stay as it was almost 40 degrees both days.
The kitchen is well equipped, with everything you need to cook as well as complimentary bread, bacon, eggs, orange juice, wine, and toiletries, all from local producers. The bed was comfortable and made with Sheridan linen, with matching branded towels in the big, well-lit bathroom. The entire place was immaculately clean and you can tell the amount of effort and love that has been put into bringing this cottage back to it’s former glory. We will definitely stay here again if we’re staying in the Barossa. Nothing, couldn’t think of anything that it needed.
- Nyenhuis (9/5): Fantastic rustic cottage - Quiet central location in the barossa. Fully equipped lovely rustic renovated cottage, great modern bathroom, and a yummy breakfast was supplied. Steve was a friendly, helpful host and wine tasting within 30 metres was a bonus ! The only thing was the cottage maybe could have had a small clothes rack in the bedroom.. only a minor suggestion.
