• Michael (10/5): Very good place to stay - The B&B is a convenient alternative to a hotel room. It is very close to the town center, walkable everywhere. It is quiet at night, no traffic but could happen a loud pedestrian. It is nice, bright and clean. The bed is very hard, which was an issue for us. The host is very friendly and responsive. The recommended breakfast place cross the road opens late (9AM) and closed on Sundays and Mondays but coffee was available in the room and we could keep some food in the small fridge in the room, so it worked really well.

Большое спасибо Фрэнсису за гостеприимство, он всегда был на связи с нами. Если мы ещё приедем в Брюгге, то будем рады остановиться снова в этом прекрасном доме.
• Radu (7/5): Good, but no bathroom door???? - Great location in a quiet neighbourhood very close to all thd main attractions. The host was friendly and helpful. Easy access in the building and the appartment. The bed and the pillows were exceptionally comfortable in my opinion. There is no door at the bathroom, just a curtain, so basically you can hear and smell everything that is going on in there from the bed. I really don't understand this.... there was no shampoo, just a shower soap. And the noise isolation was't very good but i think that all the building in Bruges are lile that.

• Gaia (8/5): Alloggio consigliato per chi vuole passare qualche giorno tranquillo passeggiando per Bruges. - Posizione ottima, nel quartiere di Sint-Anna. Si può raggiungere qualsiasi punto a piedi e il quartiere è tranquillo, pulito e molto suggestivo. La camera è spaziosa e luminosa, dotata di una grande doccia e un letto grande molto comodo. La nostra camera non aveva il bagno all'interno della stanza. Il bagno esterno, anche se ad uso esclusivo, non è il massimo, però ci si abitua. Come tutte le case tipiche del posto, anche questa si sviluppa in altezza. Noi non abbiamo avuto problemi (anche perché non avevamo grandi bagagli), ma bisogna usare delle scale molto ripide per arrivare alla stanza!

Desayuno estupendo y casi personalizado con muchas opciones en las que además se adaptan a las posibles intolerancias de los huéspedes. Personal atento y encantador. En nuestro caso no nos importó pero es importante tener en cuenta que el baño no tiene puerta, solo una cortina.

Το μόνο αρνητικό στο κατάλυμα ήταν ότι δεν υπήρχε Πόρτα στο μπάνιο υπήρχε μία κουρτίνα Εξαιρετικής ποιότητας βέβαια αλλά παρέμενε κουρτίνα και δεν παρείχε ιδιωτικότητα

• montsemarques (10/5): Buena ubicación - El alojamiento de Francis era perfecto. La habitación tenía un buen tamaño para dos personas, además de armarios y una zona con cafe o te. La calefacción estaba a la temperatura correcta y había toallas y sabanas. Lo único que cambiaría es que en el baño hubiese una puerta. Para acceder al alojamiento era con un código cosa super util. La atención de Francis fue perfecta, siempre comunicándonos por WhatsApp y pendiente de nuestra llegada. Estaba ubicado en una zona ideal a unos 10' del centro de la ciudad y de fácil acceso con autobus desde la estación de trenes. El baño podría tener puerta en lugar de una cortina.

Op 8 minuten lopen van het centrum, perfect! Vriendelijke verhuurder en persoonlijk contact bij vragen! Daarbij goed op de hoogte van de omgeving waardoor we werden gewezen op leuke ontbijt plekjes!

Chambre très propre avec une literie de dingue jamais aussi bien dormi! Rien à dire le confort présent avec mini bar machine à café. Je recommande vraiment et si c'est à refaire sans hésitation nous revenons chez cette hôte. Merci Une porte pour séparer la chambre et la salle de bain serait un plus pour intimité

Location is ideal as it has the advantage of being within historical centre but also a peaceful hideaway for guests. Francis was very kind, attentive and helpful upon every request. The room was impeccable, clean and fresh. Beautiful view of the church to wake up to every morning. Slept soundly as bed was incredibly comfortable. Lovely en-suite and shower. Everything was simply perfect and really enjoyed every moment staying here. I will absolutely be returning next time I am in Bruges. Nothing.

Dont l'accueil et la disponibilité de Francis, le soin exceptionnel qu'il prend de ses hôtes, et le confort et l'état de la chambre (belle, très bien agencée, état neuf, vue sur l'Eglise Ste Anna, quartier très tranquille et à portée de marche du centre historique, climatisée). Juste savoir que l'orientation plein sud de la chambre amplifie nettement la chaleur extérieure (qui était importante en cette semaine d'Août caniculaire en France) , obligeant à fermer les rideaux sombres presque dès le lever, et à utiliser la climatisation le soir et parfois la nuit.

• David (9/5): Lovely room and very welcoming host - Very quiet location about 5 min from the beginnings of the centre of town. Bed very comfy. Nice welcome gift. Very nice rain shower. Only downside was the toilet being in the hallway rather than the ensuite bathroom. OK, it was for us and us alone, it was a bit of an inconvenience in the middle of the night etc. and not being able to wash your hands after visiting until you have used the keypad to get into the room is far from hygienic. I'd recommend a mini sink be fitted if at all possible.
• Isobel (9/5): Brilliant - Really enjoyed my stay at the APL8 St-Anna B&B. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated - I couldn't have been happier during my stay. The B&B is located within walking distance of most of the main sights, but was also nearby a bus stop, so in all it was very easy to travel to/from the property. Francis was very welcoming, and responded to my messages very quickly. He was also able to provide a list of restaurants he recommended. My only comment would be that there wasn't daily housekeeping, so my bins weren't emptied and my used mugs/glasses not replaced.

• Corina (9/5): We would definitely stay here again - We loved staying at APL8 St-Anna B&B. We found the location to be great and within comfortable walking distance to all the main attractions and museums. We only used the bus to go from the train station to the B&B and back on our last day because our luggage. The area where this B&B is located is mostly residential and so quiet throughout the night, so we had a good night sleep (and with the help of a very comfortable bed). We also really loved having the beautiful St. Anne's church right next to the B&B and seeing its mosaic windows and brick walls from bed. And to make all this better, the host is very helpful and kind and was readily available whenever we needed to contact him. The only minus detail in our experience is that we stayed during what it probably was an Arctic cold front passing through the country because the temperature dropped to -9 Celsius during the night, and it was freezing both in the bathroom and bedroom throughout the night hours. However, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily book in here again. Thanks Francis, and we hope to see you again! Perhaps a larger duvet? This would be helpful if you're travelling with your partner so both can make sure that are being well covered (particularly if it's cold during the night) and won't be squabbling over who has a larger part of the duvet :-)

The host was also lovely. - The room was lovely, and the host had kindly left some shower gifts when we arrived. We were also able to set our room temperature to our liking and there were two huge windows looking out to the church. The host was also super friendly and even sent some recommendations on what to do in Bruges. I would highly recommend staying at this property. Nothing - we were very satisfied.

• Yin (9/5): Stay from 27 Dec to 30 Dec - The entire room is amazing, spacious and clean as described. The heating system runs automatically so you don't have to worry about, and there is also aircon so you can adjust by yourself. The building is old but the renovation is actually quite new, let alone you have multiple streaming options and the host even gave me some Wondr bath and shampoo bars for my use. After all the entire experience was really good and highly recommend people who want to stay somewhere near the vibrant old city centre but not entirely within the very centrum which pick up a lot of noise. Like many other hotels resided in old building, you will need to carry your luggage go up for maybe 2 levels depends on which room you booked. If you have a big luggage then probably you need to be prepared for some climbing

He also allowed us to use the washer and dryer located on the ground floor of the building Our "private" toilet was located outside our room, at the top of the stairs. At night, I felt exposed to leave our bedroom and go into a stairway where anyone walking by could look in the window and see me in my underwear.

We were confused on arrival as to which room was ours, but owner answered phone despite very late arrival.

• Robinson (10/5): Lovely accommodation in beautiful Brugge. - Bright, spacious, attractive room and bathroom. Big windows! Host Francis was welcoming, and told me when they renovated the guest rooms they invested in good beds and showers. Boy, he wasn’t kidding. (And I was reminded about how much better both were when I moved on to my next stay at a well known hotel chain.). Bed linens are lovely and towels are plush. Pillows comfortable. The soaps gifted by Francis were really nice, and of course I packed my slightly used bars home with me. They’ll last for some time, and each time I use them I’ll remember my stay at APL8 and Brugge. The complimentary in-room coffee provided was good quality. And while, of course, there is a charge for the mini-bar beverages, his are very reasonably priced. The location of APL8 was an unexpected good surprise. I might not have found my way to the (NOT touristy!) Sint Anna neighbourhood if I hadn’t stayed here. I woke up to quiet and hearing birds cooo each morning. Waking up at and ‘coming home’ to there turned out to be a favourite part of my stay in Brugge. Plus it was a very pleasant, scenic 10 minute stroll to the market square. When I asked Francis for his restaurant recs, he offered me his list. So helpful. I ate dinner at 3 of them and each was different- all good food and comfortable ambience. No suggestions for improvement. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

• Muna (7/5): A very comfortable and convenient stay for my first trip to Bruges - Good sized room, huge comfortable bed, good location for old town, easy keypad access to building. Francis is a very welcoming host. The toilet was situated outside of the room (though for sole use), which I don’t recall being mentioned in the accommodation description. Thought the room lacked practical surface area, as the only table is full with tea/coffee making facilities so not much room to put things such as make-up, toiletries etc. No bathrobes which are mentioned in the room description (and would have been handy for the separate toilet!). All in all though, this didn’t affect my stay although would have preferred an en suite toilet.

• Michael (9/5): Wonderful stay in a lovely B&B within a short walk of all that Bruges has to offer - The B&B is in a beautiful, quiet square a short walking distance from the centre of town. My room was spacious and well furnished, with all the facilities you could need. The bed was big and comfy, if a little on the soft side. The bathroom was clean with an excellent shower, and the free hand made cosmetics were a nice touch. Complimentary hot drinks, a fridge and smart TV provided lots of home comforts. The host, Francis, was very welcoming and pre arrival info/communication was great. Slightly bigger bath towels would have been nice, but otherwise everything was great.

A stunning property Very spacious room and beautiful decor..The bed was very comfortable. Francis the host was friendly and most helpful. Not a criticism as such - the water temp in the shower could have been hotter.

• Callum (9/5): Highly recommend! - The bed was super comfortable. Shower was very good. We liked the coffee in the room. The host was great, although we only met him briefly, the communication via whatsapp was great. Very helpful The duvet felt a bit small, only because of the massive bed! We missed having a bathroom door but we got over that! No other complaints!
