• DAVID (10/5): We couldn’t have chosen a nicer place to stay. - Cocoon has to be the best location in Ypres. Just 5 minutes walk from Grote Markt and the same from the nearest parking with electric chargers. We had a super clean room with a fantastic shower and it overlooked a quiet street. Sofie and Lode, are lovely hosts. They made us very welcome and looked after us for all of our 6 night stay. Their advice on places to visit was brilliant. And the breakfast-absolutely fantastic. Everything you could possibly want including eggs cooked to your liking and everything super fresh. Nothing to not like

We will definitely be returning. The ensuite toilet was a little claustrophobic with no window but manageable for a couple of days.

This quirky B & B is very well located, being just a few minutes stroll from the market square, yet incredibly peaceful. The accommodation was and spotlessly clean and beautifully presented by the friendly, helpful and knowledgeable landlady, who was happy to help with any queries. The continental breakfast was excellent and guests have access to coffee, fresh fruit etc. throughout the day. We greatly enjoyed our stay and hope to be backsometime soon. Nothing

• Rolf A. (10/5): A most wonderful stay in Ypres - @Cocoon is only a 10min walk away from the station and it's in a quiet street. The owners who live on the property themselves are most helpful and Sophie prepares the most delicious breakfast. There is free coffee available all day as well as fruit and cookies. The room is comfortable with an honesty bar fridge containg an assortment of drinks at a nominal price. The floor creaks when you walk on it, but that's because it's a historic building that has been beautifully restored.

Supervriendelijke gastvrouw, handig bonnenboekje met kortingen op verschillende plaatsen, royaal ontbijt, de hele dag door warme dranken en fruit ter beschikking. De handdoeken roken wat muffig. En ja, de vloer kraakt een beetje , maar dat hoort bij de charme van het (mooie) pand.

The breakfast was excellent and the location very good. The bedroom and breakfast area is a compact but very well designed space and we had everything we needed. It is a quiet street with parking right opposite and we were able to walk everywhere in the city.

• Richard (10/5): Lovely and quiet but within minutes walk of the Market Place. - Lovely little guest house in a very quiet street with free parking outside (and a disabled bay) but within a three minute walk of Ypres beautiful and vibrant Market Place. Our Host, Sophie and her Husband greeted us and helped us carry our luggage from the car to our lovely clean and spacious room. Breakfast was an array of cereals, meats, cheeses, different breads, homemade jams etc and the offer of bacon and eggs for us Brits on top of that. In fact, it was far better than what we were offered in a 4* Hotel in Brugge a couple of days later. There was a Nespresso coffee machine and Yorkshire Tea available free throughout our stay. Our host went the extra mile when I asked to borrow a ironing board to prepare for our Remembrance Day Ceremonies. She refused....Saying. "I will do it for you. We have people visit us from all over the World with clothes rolled in their bags". It was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. We will be staying there again soon.
• David (9/5): Excellent Ypres stop off location with good breakfast as well - Convenient for Ypres attractions, off street parking. Sophie is an excellent host and very helpful friendly lady. Not really anything. The room and bathroom are compact but that is part of the charm of staying in a traditional Belgium town house. Taxes historically are on the footprint hence why they are usually 3/4 floors high.

• N (10/5): Hele fijne ervaring in een prachtig stadje - De gastvrouw ontving ons allerhartelijkst. Locatie is perfect, op slechts vijf minuten van het centrum, de Lakenhallen, de Menenpoort en veel(!) restaurants. Parkeren kan helaas niet direct naast / bij de b&b. Maar dat was geen probleem want gratis parkeerplaatsen op 5 minuten lopen (Minneplein). Ik had wel moeite een plek te vinden (donderdagmiddag rond 15 uur), maar vond er toch nog één. Kamer zelf is compleet, compact, keurig onderhouden, mooi schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Wel wat gehorig, geluiden van de gang komen goed door. Daarentegen is het kleinschalig, wat maakt dat er überhaupt niet veel geluid is. Locatie is aan een zeer rustige straat, slapen met raam open gaat daardoor prima! Douche was heerlijk, schoon, ruim genoeg en lekker warm. Ontbijt was zeer(!) uitgebreid, veel meer dan we op konden. Uitgebreide keuze. Uitstekend verzorgd! Onze gastvrouw wees ons op activiteiten, een leuk restaurant (in ‘t kleine stadhuis, reserveren als je zeker een plek binnen wil hebben) en verschafte info inzake de geschiedenis van Ieper. Ieper zelf is één groot geschiedenisboek, erg leuk voor een geïnteresseerde als ik. Schoon ook, daar kunnen wij in Nederland nog een puntje aan zuigen! Alles tesamen een zeer leuke ervaring, voor mij en mijn vader (92). Aanrader! Kan werkelijk niets verzinnen. Top!

De locatie is dichtbij het centrum dus winkels en horeca zijn op loopafstand. De auto kan je niet ver van de locatie gratis parkeren (Minneplein). Daar zijn ook oplaadpunten voor elektrische auto's. Easy walk into the centre of town and the hosts were very good - they even helped us unload our motorbikes and direct us to some free motorbike parking! They go above and beyond for their guests - highly recommend.
