• Mathieu (10/5): Ik raad het iedereen aan. - Chimay was de eerste stop van mijn fietsreis en wat een fantastische start! Een vriend fietste de eerste dag mee en bij aankomst kregen we allebei een welkomstdrankje aangeboden. Ik verbleef er alleen en de kamer was erg fijn verzorgd, proper en voorzien van alle gemakken. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en ik kreeg zelfs twee bananen mee voor mijn volgende fietsdag. Omdat ik thuis een adapter was vergeten, kreeg ik er eentje cadeau van de host – wat een topservice! Mijn fiets kon bovendien veilig in de garage staan, waar ook een erg goede, nieuwe fietspomp aanwezig was. Dankjewel voor alles! Geen opmerkingen, voor mij was het perfect!

Mooi en praktisch ingerichte studio. Lekker ontbijt. Je kan op voorhand doorgeven wat je graag wil eten en dat wordt op de kamer bezorgd. De croissants en koffiekoeken waren super vers en zelfs nog warm, heerlijk! niets

• Kees (9/5): leuk verblijf centrum Chimay - Er zijn twee kamers, elk met hun eigen specifieke karakter. Wij hadden de achterkamer, goede bedden en nieuwe badkamer. Onze reisgenoten de kamer in het gebouw aan het plein. Is 'romantischer' maar beviel hun ook goed. Goede parkeergelegenheid. Geen opmerkingen.

La chambre d’hôte est d’une propreté méticuleuse et il y a une foule de petits détails mis en place par Agnès pour faciliter le séjour et le rendre agréable…

Notre hôte nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse et s’est montrée très attentionnée durant notre séjour. -

Vriendelijke gastvrouw, flexibel qua aankomst en vertrektijden. Zeer nette, ruime accomodatie , niks op aan te merken. Volgende week gaan we al terug.

• Sandrine (10/5): Un petit cocon où l'hospitalité belge est à son sommet - La chambre est bien plus spacieuse que sur les photos. Bel espace salon et chambre à coucher confortable. La maintenance et la propreté sont parfaites. L'accueil d'Agnès est exceptionnel : prévenante, bienveillante et toujours de bons conseils pour découvrir les richesses de la région. Un établissement de qualité à tout points de vue.

• Martin (10/5): Very clean rooms. Make time to stay for breakfast with locsl produce and croissants from across the road - Agnes was a super host. She directed us to the local Thai restaurant for a late super on a Sunday night which was great. The Queens Head was good old fashioned fun for local beers and table football.

• Terence (9/5): A spotlessly clean, convenient and comfortable pied-a-terre, with secure parking. One of the best. - We did not have breakfast here, so cannot comment. Overall, the property was spotlessly clean and the king-size bed very comfortable. Being in the town centre meant that the castle, town hall and every other venue that we had to attend was within easy walking distance. Parking is secure on private land with gates that are closed at night once everyone is inside. The kitchen area is miniscule. We understand that it's not designed for three-course meal preparation, however! Different countries have different safety standards, but we were alarmed by the electrical sockets over the kitchen sink, and the high-level grill/microwave oven, which for short people like us, posed a concern over spillage when taking hot items out from above eye level.

• Tony (9/5): Great stay, very enjoyable. Would definitely stay again. - Apartment was great and spotlessly clean. Host met us with keys even thought we arrived quite late. She even moved her car out of the garage so we could park our motorcycles securely. Very near the town centre, only a two minute walk. We were also offered a choice of breakfast in our apartment for an extra cost. Host spoke very little English but to be fair our French was no better, otherwise no negatives at all.

The host made us very welcome and took time to explain how everything worked and to ensure that we were comfortable. There was secure parking at the rear garden area of the property which was a real bonus.
