• Gillian (10/5): A perfect B and B with very welcoming hosts. - Everything. It was spacious comfortable and well appointed. Yvonne and Bob were the perfect hosts. Great conversations with them over breakfast and Bob gave great tips for places to visit. Talking of Breakfast they were fabulous and very tasty. A breakfast was also provided for when we had a very early start for the boat trip we were taking on one of our days. Home made cake was also provided when we returned from our days out.
• Till (9/5): Übernachtung bei tollen Gastgebern zu einem fairen Preis - Super freundliche Gastgeber. Phantastisches Frühstück. Grosses Appartment mit toller gepflegter Ausstattung. Sehr sauber. Recht hellhörig und ein etwas schmales Bett.
• Maaike (10/5): - At Berkie's you have the downstairs apartment all to yourself. It has a lot of room and is very cozy. Yvonne's breakfast was amazing and Bob had some great tips for the area.

• Michael (10/5): - Yvonne und Bob haben uns so herzlich bei sich aufgenommen und wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Die Wohnung ist riesig groß und mit Liebe und Geschick perfekt eingerichtet - Yvonne hat hier wirklich an alles gedacht 😍 Das Frühstück ist der Hammer und es gibt jeden Tag eine neue Kreation aus Yvonne's Zauberküche - so lecker 😋 Auch die Gespräche und Tipps mit/von Bob und Yvonne waren immer ein guter Start in den Tag und sehr hilfreich. Rundum ist "Berkie's" der Knaller und ihr solltet keine Sekunde zögern hier zu buchen 🙂 Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit bei Euch - wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder zu Euch, falls es uns nochmal auf Vancouver Island verschlägt 😎 Uns war das Bett etwas zu weich, aber das ist Geschmackssache - ist aber Jammern auf hohem Niveau 😀

It is private and relaxing. Yvonne and Bob are the perfect hosts - charming, witty and welcoming. Yvonne should have Michelins star, as she cooks the best breakfast on Vancouver Island. Incredible attention to detail with regards to all aspects of your stay. We were made to feel very welcome and even joined our hosts and their friends for dinner at a local restaurant one night. There’s plenty to do in the local area and lots of choice for good restaurants. We were stopping off in Port Alberni as part of a road trip from Victoria to Tofino. It was the perfect break en-route. Many thanks to our wonderful hosts.

We felt so welcome. Everything was clean and tidy. All in all it was super comfy. Should we be in the area again, we will definitely book our stay again at berkies. The jam as a giveaway was such a nice and perfect gift. Unfortunately we only had 2 nights
• Mixia (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful suite! It has everything you need and more! The host are welcoming and friendly! Always giving us tricks and tips to visit and see around the island and the town. You could hear the people walking in the floor above, it was very loud

• Xuan-long (10/5): A perfect home in Vancouver Island - Everything, Yvonne and Bob are wonderful host. Kind and always available to make your stay enjoyable. We were surprised of the space for us. It's so big, it feels like to be in your own appartment. The breakfast was delicious too. I would highly recommend to have a stop to Berkie if you wish to visit Vancouver Island. It feels like it's home Nothing

The quality and variety of the breakfasts Yvonne provided was excellent, and the morning chats with Bob were very entertaining indeed! The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Daily home made sweet treats were a nice touch.

• Faye (9/5): Comfortable, central (and friendly) accomodations! - The hosts were exceptional in anticipating everything you might need to enjoy your stay in their very cute and comfortable BnB. Staying for a couple of nights, we enjoyed two very delicious breakfasts not to mention the sweet treats waiting for us in our suite. The space has a tranquil West Coast vibe and is extremely comfortable Couldn't fault a thing, we had a very enjoyable stay. Next time we will come for pleasure instead of for business.

• Rebekka (10/5): Excellent hosts and super cosy and comfy apartment - We were very warmly welcomed by the owners. The accommodation consists of a whole apartment in the basement and was super cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast really blew us away. It was not a buffet but freshly prepared by the owner in the kitchen. Apart from that, we could enjoy every day new cookies in our apartment and we received even homemade marmalade as a gift. What we didn't expect at all, but made our stay unforgettable, was the fact that the husband gave us a little sightseeing tour in the area. We also received many helpful tips for other places and restaurants worth seeing. We would stay there again anytime and highly recommend Berkies. Thanks for making our stay a whole story on our travels!

• Doug (10/5): Such a good place to stay - The accommodation is excellent with very good furnishings, plus it is immaculately clean. The lounge area is large and the dining area has microwave, coffee maker, kettle and fridge. Breakfast was lovely - all home made! Yvonne and Bob are perfect hosts and couldn’t have done more for us. Bob took us to Stamp River, where we saw bears fishing and loads of salmon jumping up the waterfalls. We even got a ride to a local restaurant. Such hospitality!
• Katsumi (9/5): One of the best B&Bs I ever stayed. Highly reccommended. - Room is spacious, actually too much room for one man stay. Everything needs are there. Nice and comfortable living room. Super clean so that even be hesitant to make a mess. The owner are nice and friendly. Not in particular. Maybe too clean so afraid to make a mess.

• Marleen (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay! Would absolutely recommend anyone to book. The owners are great people, who will give you a very warm welcome. You have all the privacy of a basement room, and its very spacious. Highlights of my stay; breakfast (you don't need food for the rest of the day until diner) and great recommendations for sightseeing in the area (I even got a personal tour to the salmon river). You need a car to get around. Lots of beautiful sightseeing places are quite far apart.
