Guest Reviews
- Pierre (10/5): - Very friendly hosts.
- William (10/5): Vintage Merlot is a very pleasant, comfortable and clean B&B which — unlike most — welcomes dogs. - They permit dogs, and make them welcome. Proprietors are very gracious and accommodating. Breakfasts are very good. The guests’ sitting room is a small but pleasant place to sit, make tea, etc. High standard of cleanliness throughout. No significant complaints.
- TIMOTHY (10/5): Excellent stay - Very hospitable and helpful owners, excellent local knowledge and suggestions. Dog friendly and Beau was a lovely dog host as well No suggestions
- Tania (10/5): -

- Robert (10/5): - Walter and Debbie were wonderful hosts! We will stay there again.
- Dana (10/5): We will be back! - Charming and attentive hosts.
Excellent breakfast.
- Dreyer (10/5): Das war für uns der beste B&B-Aufenthal, den wir jemals hatten. - Die herzliche und fast schon familiere Atmosphäre. Nichts !!!
- Phil Defliese (8/5): Very nice accommodation for our visit to Area 27. - This was a very good place to stay for our visit to Area 27 Motorsports Park in Oliver, BC. It was less than ten minutes to the track. A public swim area at the nearby lake was just a few minutes walk away.
Our hosts were very friendly and provided lots of history of the town and made good recommendations on places to eat.
They made breakfast according to our schedule and the food was excellent. We chose to stay in the bedroom with the queen bed and the ensuite half-bath. This worked well for us during our three night stay. Unfortunately, the weather was exceptionally hot during our stay with temperatures of 100 degrees F or more and this bedroom is exposed to the sun and received the least air flow from the air conditioning system. This made the room warmer than optimal. Had weather been near average this would not have been an issue.
- White (10/5): we'll come again ...Best wishes to Bo, Debbie and Walter - A real breakfast--elegant and inviting. Including stimulating and informative conversation. The privacy and ease of lounging in the living room and reading or watching TV made it an apartment-like home for our days there.
- Elsie (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Debbie and Walter welcomed us into their home. The breakfast was amazing, and Debbie catered to our needs and time constraints. It was pleasant to eat with Debbie and Walter, and we enjoyed our conversation and getting to know them. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, and everything was clean. The location was perfect for our needs. We would stay again. Unfortunately, though no fault of their own, the heat pump broke down at the start of the long weekend! But they did everything they could to keep us comfortable. Sadly, these things happen, but they made every effort to cool down in our room.
- VanDine (10/5): The Vintage Merlot is a warm and inviting B&B in Oliver and I would recommend it to travellers. - The breakfasts were elaborate and delicious. The hosts kept us company for breakfast and were wonderful in their hospitality. We left their home with two new friends. There was nothing that could be improved.

Homemade breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Check-in was a breeze, Debbie’s breakfasts were delicious, both Debbie and Walter were excellent company and gave us great tips on what to do in the area and wineries to visit. We will definitely be back!
- Jeff (10/5): We highly recommed Merlot Bed & Breakfast in Oliver. Fantastic Value. We will definitely be back! - Debbie and Walter offer a very comfortable, clean, quiet, centrally located and welcoming Bed and Breakfast. They provided lots of information about the local hiking trails, wineries, restaurants and where to find reasonably priced produce stands. The two homemade breakfasts were exceptional and exceeded our expectations. Debbie served: home made pancakes, scones & egg cups, with bacon and an assortment of fruit mostly picked from their property. You can even enjoy a hot tub! NA
- Bernie (10/5): A really nice place to say in the Oliver area. - Breakfast was great, and company of the hosts was wonderful.
- Sally (10/5): Our hosts , Debbie and Walter, were delightful. lots of history and suggestions about the area. - Proximity to many wineries nothing
- Mevylen (9/5): Superb - We had a lovely time staying with Walter and Debbie. The breakfasts were delicious and the conversations delightful. The hot tub was a great way to end a perfect day of exploring wine country.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valerie (10/5): Pet friendly, clean and centrally located accommodation with charming hosts - The breakfast was delicious and hearty and even incorporated some fruit the owners had grown. The hot tub was glorious to soak in at the end of the evening. The hosts have thought of every detail: fresh water, a kuerig coffee maker, towels for the hot tub. The bathroom was very clean. A mini refrigerator in the room is a nice touch to keep leftovers or wine. The hosts were very accommodating to our lab retriever. A small 2 person cafe table may be a good idea in the indoor lounge area as a more comfortable option to dine, perhaps by reconfiguring the lounge furniture (which is a lovely outdoor set and coffee table, however a bit awkward to eat a meal at as you must lean over to eat on the coffee table) to create more space for one. The robes were a pleasant touch however we suggest having larger size options.
- Karen (10/5): Outstanding hosts and breakfasts! - Walter was a fountain of knowledge regarding wineries in the region and Debbie’s breakfasts were outstanding! They were very friendly and hospitable. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.
- Michie222 (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Walter and Debbie are amazing hosts. We will be back!
- Bonnie (8/5): Very good - A king bed was 2 singles put together so the middle of the bed wasn’t comfortable.
- Kayla (10/5): Relaxing and enjoyable - It was super close to everything, you drove 20 minutes and you had so many amazing wineries! Not only that, but Walt and Deb are some of the kindest and loveliest people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting
they made you feel like you were at home, not to mention it was an added bonus that they had their 2 absolutely beautiful bloodhounds with them!
Deb makes some of the most delicious breakfast, every morning we started off our day with full and happy tummies. Not only that, but it was so nice sitting outside and chitchatting about anything and everything
