Guest Reviews
- Pieter (7/5): -
- Susan (10/5): - Tournai exceeded by village of Froyennes, exceeded by La Rogotiere all of which were exceeded by Dominique. Nothing was too much for her, a history lesson on the house and village. Suggestions of where to go and a genuine interest in her guests. We are definitely going back later in the year. We have been scratching our heads to find something and failed

- Sarah (9/5): Lovely quiet and comfortable retreat - Received a very warm welcome from the owner. Great place for stopping over when travelling or to visit the region. Clean and comfortable, nicely decorated room. Very quiet which is what we wanted, so had a good night’s sleep. One (good) restaurant 10 minutes walk away otherwise longer into the city centre. Nothing really other than would have liked a coffee/tea making facility.
- Julien (10/5): Fabuleux - L’établissement et la propriétaire étaient parfaits
- Riseley (7/5): Pleasant room and friendly host - Easily able to park next to the property, very friendly host. Comfortable bed and pleasant room Fan wasn’t quite able to keep the room cool at night so needed windows open, a little far from the centre of town
- anymax (7/5): - Parcheggio interno per la moto. TV non funzionante, sgradevole odore di cucina nella stanza. Mancanza di piani d'appoggio e ganci per appendere. Pochi asciugamani.
- David (3/5): Please read above message. Not Impressed !! - When we got there, there is high electric gates with a bell on the outside, after a couple of pushes a Lady answered,
She was driving a car and said she would be 30 minutes before she came back, she was not a very good signal on her phone and we lost contact, she then phoned my mobile phone and said she can open the gate and let us in, and our room key was in an outside post box, we found our key and walked to the big heavy front door, the Lady said we have to pull the door when turning the key as the door had warped, we were frightened to open the door encase we snapped the key, locking the door was the same procedure, our room door was not a good fit in the door frame, during the night it was knocking as the door moved back and forth with the wind, there is no handrail up the winding staircase, while sleeping during the night there was no one else in the big house, if there was a problem we would have been on our own,
We declined breakfast as it was 20€ each, a bit expensive !!
When we left the Lady left a note for us saying can we leave our room key in our room and leave the front door unlocked when we leave !!
We were not very impressed with La Ragotiere and will not be staying again.
- Heidi (10/5): Great host. Easy to find. Lovely breakfast. - Loved the property. So beautifully renovated.
- Arnout (9/5): Superb -
- Gary (9/5): Superb - Facilities were good and clean. Location was good to restaurants in walking distance 1-2km. Nothing
- Clark (10/5): Lovely house, fab stay, just bring your own towels and tea! - Beautiful building. Nice rooms. The review that someone else gave is correct. There are no proper towels! The ones provided are hand towels. I messaged to check before visiting and was told there were towels, which there are, they are just ridiculously tiny!
Would be nice if it were possible to make tea and coffee without having to pay extra, no sign of tea at all. Basic facilities should probably be included.
- Berta (8/5): Very good - Perfect location if you are want to discover Tournai's region.
Big and nice decorated room. Very nice staff!
- Waqar (9/5): Superb -
- Reviewer345 (9/5): No fuzz, easy, clean and roomy. Just what we needed. - We did not take breakfast Water in the room would be nice

- J (10/5): A pleasant stay at the hotel in a nice location. - A interesting building in a nice quite location a couple of eating places within walking distance. A good continental style breakfast to start the day. Martin made us most welcome. All OK
- David (8/5): Very good - Nice room, everything you needed except a bath towel for the shower The Stairs, they kept turning and the steps were very narrow at one end, there was no hand rail.
- Marta (9/5): Beautiful place for a weekend in Belgium. - Wonderful place to stay, sad that we were there just for one night as the place is stunning and I can imagine it would be perfect place for a romantic weekend. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was extremely welcoming. Bathroom towels were very small and didn't dry your skin very well.
- Benoit (8/5): Very good -
